Storing Adobe file into OLE filed

I'm moving a PDF file to store it as an OLE field into a table of Microsoft Access. Recently I had to update from Adobe Acrobat 6.1 to Adobe Reader 9.0. After getting the new Version of Adobe, I can store the document but when I want to open it, I'm getting this message: The operation on the Acrobat Document object failed. The OLE server may not be registered. To register the OLE server, reinstall it. The second problem is that the dadabase is growing like a monster and it takes too much storage. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks.

You can use Adobe ExportPDF to do this.

Storing PDF file into DB & restoring back to Filesystem

Hi Everybody,
I need to store PDF files into Database (Oracle 8.1.6 on Windows NT). This I could do using DBMS_LOB Package. Now, my problem is bringing back the PDF files to OS filesystem.
I feel my problem will be solved if I have UTL_LOB Package Object in my Database. Where can I get the script or utility that installs the said Object in my Database. Kindly send me the script/utility if anybody has.

You can use DBMS_LOB.LoadFromFile, I assume you would load these as a BLOB.

An alternative would be to use java to read the file from the file system, and serve it up as a CLOB or BLOB, and INSERT it into the database from there.

Unable to transfer adobe file into reader to send

Any suggestions
I drag a file to Adobe Reader and get the following window "Adobe Reader could not open 'seventh council.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." It seems to do with every single file on my computer.

Thanks for that quick response. I think I have finally cracked it by dint of trying everything on the menu.
If I go to file - export it transfers it into a PDF file which I hope to able to send as an email attachment.

There's a couple of ways you can merge two files in to one. You can open one the use Document>insert pages and insert the other file or you can use File>Create PDF>From multiple files.

How can I get the PDF file that was transformed into a docx file into my filing system to be able to work on it and translate it as the customer requested?

Well what happens is I bought the program. It gives you a button to click,
you log in and then a box opens up asking you to select the file, I go into
my filing system (in Windows explorer) select the file, and the program
converts it into docx, my choice. I can read it there and when I try to
copy and paste it into my file where the PDF version is saved, it behaves
like an "image", and I can't save it.... or it saves likes something you
save on the internet, so you have to go into internet every time you want
to see it. I have also pressed any amount of buttons to see if it will
give me the option to save it any other way, and have found nothing. What
I would need is a file in docx.format that I can edit. People send me
things in PDF and sometimes I can just copy it off the PDF file and save it
in WOrd, then I can translate it for them. But sometimes the PDF file
doesnt allow me to copy the text. If it is in image form, I cannot work on
it. It means printing it, so I can copy type it into Word... and for that
I certainly wouldnt need to buy a program. Its just double the work and
ends up that the job takes twice as long.!
Sorry if I am a bit dumb with informatics. But I simply could not find
any way whatever to copy the PDF file that was transformed into Word, in a
format that would enable me to edit it.

Installed AcrobatXI PRO 11.0.09 on seven computers and laptops. Two of them gives an error when you try to save a document in WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, or when exporting to... error: Save failed to process this document. No File was created.
But all good saves in the format of TXT and jpg.
I have uninstalled and restored and re-installed and updated and registry cleaned and removed using the special utility Cleaner Tool for Acrobat, but nothing helps.
On one notebook with Windows 8.1 and Microsoft office 2013, on another laptop with Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010, the same problem, although there are computers with Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010 and everything works.
Tell me where to find the problem and how to solve it.

Adobe Bridge CC 'Tools Load Files Into Photoshop Layers' missing from menu.

After updated to bridge CC the 'Tools > Load Files Into Photoshop Layers' has simply disappeared from the menu! Is there a plug in that I'm missing or is this something similar to how the Output module works, where you have to install the files manually?

I uninstalled all Adobe products -> reboot -> reinstall; which didn't work.
So I had to uninstall all Adobe products again, then use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner, reboot & reinstall everything again; then it finally worked.
This seems to be a regular thing since the introduction of Adobe CC, almost every new update or new versions breaks functionality & requires a complete uninstall -> reinstall process.

Converting a word 2000 file into pdf using Adobe Acrobat Standard X

I reinstalled my Adobe Acrobat Standard X today, and tried to convert a *.doc word file into pdf, but the application could not open the word file and got stalled. I remembered that last time I installed the application the same probelm cropped up and I had to install a Microsoft patch that was required to do this, What is the patch file and how do I get it?

I answer my question myself. I have solved it myself. The answer can be found by searching adobe website. But I give it here if it can be useful to others. Go to control panel. Go to Add or remove programs. Click on Modify in the listed Adobe program. Click Next in the box that appears. Select Modify. Click on + sign against pdF maker to expand. Click on X sign against 'this feature is not available' which shifts on to the little box on the left of Microsoft Office. Click on Apply. Quit. Once the Microsoft Office becomes disabled in Adobe, Word will open in all places.
