Storing in the Cloud vs. computer for tv series

If I purchase a TV Series in iTunes, and I don't want to take up the space on my computer for permanent storage, , how do i get it to be stored in the Cloud?

iCloud only stores a Link... Your Computer stores the Downloaded Content.

  • For an app made with Single Edition, is the video stored in the cloud?

Just looking into using Single Edition and wondering where interactive assests for the app are stored.  Are they all stored in the cloud, or do I have to provide a storage location?
    Thanks for any help!

Everything is store in the app unless you elect to use web based
    overlays such as streaming video.

You should also be able to access your docs (even without the Pages app on your iMac) by logging into iCloud.com and using the Pages for iCloud beta app via your browser.
(By the way your iPad uses iOS and not OS X)

old puter is a toshiba, new one is lenovo (win 8.1).  Purchased music is on my new puter (thru itunes), all my cd music is not.  Using home sharing to fix the problem.  over 1000 items missing on new puter.
    No joy.....

    Enable automatic downloads.
To enable automatic downloads for your music, apps, and books, open iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Store and select Music, Apps, and Books.*

I loaded a lot of music from my CDs on to my iMac at home.  All my music is stored on the cloud.  So why is the music on my MacBook Pro different.  The CDs are missing from this list. The iTunes account details I use on both computers is the same.

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for the reply.
I think you ave sorted my problem with your question.  I thought that as my iTunes account was on their server (Cloud) and I had previously added CDs which showed up, that all my music was "on the cloud".  I used to use Match but when I turned it off lost all my music that I had previously loaded onto my computer.
So I guess I have to use the cloud again to access my songs.  This is frustrating as I fly a lot and can not use the music (Cloud based) when the phone is in flight mode as there is no internet.
So how then do I retrieve all my music to my iMac and have my laptop synced so they are the same?
    I am totally confused now.

  • How can I delete songs stored in the Cloud but without deleting them from my mac?

How can I delete songs stored in the Cloud but without deleting them from my mac?

You can do it, but you need another library signed in to iTunes match. That second library shouldn't have any local files stored.
Delete the entry from that second library and it will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the file from the cloud. Confirm that you do.
Now, as long as you don't delete the file from your main library it will have an iCloud status of "removed" and won't be in the cloud or try add it again.
However, if you sign out of match on that computer and then sign in again it will then re-add it to the cloud, so this isn't a method to use if you tend to turn match on and off much.
I have had the Beatles Mono albums in my main library, but not in the cloud, for a while now without any problems.

  • HT4436 how do I find out what I have stored in the Cloud

How do I find out what I have stored in the cloud?  Also I have an update (6.1.1)  for my 4S I-phone but can get it to download - even when my phone is connected to my computer.  Can anyone help?

You can see some of your data by going to icloud.com from a computer and signing into your iCloud account.  Other data can only be viewed on an iOS device or computer that is syncing with the account.
What do you mean when you say you can't "get it to dowload"?

  • How to synchronize tracks not stored in the cloud?

    Hey,
is there any way to synchronize tracks, which not stored in the cloud (e.g. movies), between different macs?
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

not really a good way.  You could probably do this with a third party cloud application at this point, but will require you to manually manage it.  Check out sugarsync (something I use for general computer to computer to cloud sync stuff).  you would be able to sync the movies folder between the two macs, yet when it comes to updating the itunes library for each, you would have to manually add a movie you downloaded to one computer to another (although the file will automatically download to the proper location)

  • HT4858 I have bought 4 movies however one wont download due to insufficient storage, why arent the others stored in the cloud so I could down load the fourth movie?

Are movies automatically stored in the cloud and if so why can't I download a new movie.  When I try it says "insufficient space".  If the other movies are stored in the cloud- why won't the last movie download?

You have to download or sync the movie to your iPad in order to watch it.  If you already downloaded too much you won't have sufficient space on your iPad to download more, and iCloud doesn't expand the space on your iPad.  Purchased movies are stored in the iTunes store, and depending on the country you live in and whether or not the studio allows it, you can redownload them again for free.
If you need more space on your iPad, transfer the movies you have already download on your iPad to your iTunes library by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  You can then delete some of the movies off your iPad to make room for more.

  • I don't know where to find my photos that are supposed to be stored on the "cloud".  I don;t want to erase them until I can locate them.

I don't know where to find my photos that are supposed to be stored on the "cloud".  I don't want to erase them from my iPhone until I can locate them.  I'm out of storage.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Only photos in photostream are kept in the cloud and only for 30 days. To save your photos before deleting them, sync them to a computer or an online storage solution such as Dropbox.

  • Browsing iPhoto library (stored in the cloud) from iPhone

    Dear Apple community geeks,
Can you please suggest the best solution for the below:
I have my iPhoto library stored in the cloud (CrashPlan) and a personal NAS (Synology).
I'd like to view pictures of this library from my iPhone without losing the library structure (Projects, Albums..).
So far, browsing via available apps, I'm only left with the classical "folder structure" of the iPhoto library (as if I'd "show package contents").
Any good option with my current set-up? If not, would (at least) iCloud make this possible?
    Many thanks!
    Petr

I have taken off the unwanted apps from iTunes but they still show on my iPhone. Go to App Store > Updates > Purchased > and the unwanted Apps are under both "All" and "Not on this Iphone" tabs. There is a little cloud with a down arrow so I can redownlaod it to my phone but, I want to remove some all together. It is hard to scroll thru all of them to find Apps that you may use on special occasion. Can I get rid of the in this location on my phone? And if so, How? Thanks

  • HT5637 now that I have subscribed to iTunes match and synched with my phone, I assume that all the music stored on my phone is now stored in the cloud.  Can I now delete the tunes on my phone so that I regain storage space?

Now that I have subscribed to iTunes Match and synched my phone, I'm assuming that my 6.9GB of music and 2.3 GB of videos are stored in the cloud and accessible to my phone for listening or watching.  Can I now delete them from my phone so that I regain the 9.2GB of storage space?

Go to Settings > General > Usage, select Music, then Edit. There will be a delete option there. It may take a few minutes to delete if you have a large collection on your iPhone.

  • HT201104 how to access my pictures stored in the cloud on my pc after i have downloaded and installed icloud

I can't access my over 2,000 photos stored in the cloud on my pc.  I have downloaded icloud for pc. how do I access my pics, I am paying for extra storage

I spent 40 minutes on the phone yesterday with applecare support trying to get icloud and idrive and iphoto to work on my pc without any success.
i was cut off and then waited for another 27 minutes to speak with a ''product specialist'' after i called back (apple didn't call me) until i couldn't wait any longer.
i tried again today and after waiting 53 minutes to speak with a ''product specialist'' i still havent had any success. after 25 minutes they cut me off but called me back and now ive been on hold for 14 minutes waiting to speak with the complaints team.
my next step is the nsw office of fair trade as the apple website clearly states icloud can be easily installed on a pc and that photos can be accessed from there.
very disappointing, especially after purchasing extra storage as you did.

  • TS4002 Are pictures taken on the iphone stored in the cloud?

Are pictures taken on the iphone stored in the cloud?

If you are backing up to iCloud, your camera roll photos are stored in your backup (but can only be accessed by restoring your device to the entire backup).  If you enable photo stream in Settings>iCloud, photos taken after enabling it are stored in your photo stream (up to 1000 photos) for 30 days.
