Storing TV shows from itunes to flashdrive

I have dowloaded some TV shows from itunes and I just bought a TV that has a USB port on it.  I would like to download the TV shows to the flashdrive so that I can watch them on my TV but I can not figure out how.  Does any one know how to do this or is there an easier way that I can watch the shows from my TV?
I have a Macbook Pro, if that matters.
Thank you

Is the show in a format that can be displayed (supported) on the Touch?

  • Can't import TV show from Itunes to 4th gen nano-running OSX 10.5 with Imac

This message has also been posted to the general use forum of the 4th gen nano forum.
Bought my daughter a 4th gen nano for Christmas. Also purchased a TV show from Itunes some time back.
This TV show has been in Itunes for months, and is on my 5th gen Ipod and plays fine, but will not import to the 4th gen nano.
Here is what I have done so far:
1.Plugged the nano into the computer, highlighted nano, clicked TV show tab, clicked the TV show we wanted to sync, then clicked the sync button.
2.I downloaded a sample movie into Itunes from the apple support site, and it won't import into the nano.
3.After researching, I downloaded and reinstalled Itunes and Quicktime both.
    Nothing seems to be working.
Funny thing is, there was one music video that imported from Itunes to the nan when I first registered and set it up, and it plays fine.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks.

My 13 yr. old daughter solved this problem, and successfully imported the TV show to her Ipod.
She tells me she has no idea how she did it, she just did it.
So, although I guess my problem is solved, I'd still love to know what the answer is.

  • How do you remove TV shows from ITunes,

I have removed them from my iPad and it says there are no videos but they are still in my iTunes on my iPad and I want to load another show and it is telling me that I do not have the space on my iPad

The initial question (by Spanky0212) simply asked how to delete TV shows from iTunes.
Then jwutzkechimed in with deleting downloads, not items that are already in iTunes.
but they will constantly come back when you do a sync/update/check for downloads.
Sync, update and check for downloads are completely different tasks and in no way related.
Sync does just that. it syncs the iDevice with iTunes.
Update will update OS the iDevice.
Check for downloads has nothign to do with iDevice. It checks iTunes store for items you have not completed downloading.
I don't know why the DELETE / MOVE FILES TO TRASH option doesn't work in iTunes; but the directions I listed above does.
Are the items you are trying to delete, located in the iTunes media folder shown in iTunes prefs > Advanced?
Do you have Keep iTunes media folder organized checked? If not to either of these, iTunes will not delete them.
Per your instructions above, the item will still be listed in iTunes.

I purchased a season of a TV show from itunes and it won't go onto my ipad, i've purchased several seasons in the past and never had this issue, how can i fix this?

Drew how is that even possible? I use gift cards all the time, any time I've had insufficient funds iTunes will not allow the purchase, sights Insufficient funds and rejects the purchase. Any time I log into my account the money in that account appears in the upper left corner. If you're not seeing that then you have other issues. Anyway... Kneil is right you should be able to rip CDs you own to your iTunes library (regardless of your money matters with iTunes), then depending on how you set up the music you need to add it to your playlist and then sync it to your iPod. Did imported music ever work? How are you ripping or importing the music to iTunes? Are you using a compatible format?
Something else to look at-- It's possible your cable is defective, have you tried a new or different cable? Some of what your describing is a bad cable issue. Good luck, Cheers.

I get this message when trying to drag in a tv show from iTunes to ny nano...
"Pilot (tv show is called 10 things i hate about you) was not copied to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod."
This tv show was on the nano at some point. I had to do a restore. Anyway, I was able to drag a different tv show to my nano. What's up? Could something be wrong with that particular tv show?

If the TV Show is downloaded on your iPad, you don't need Wi-Fi to watch it.

  • I purchased a tv show from itunes.  While downloading from the store it shows in the video list, when done, it disappears. what is happening?

I purchased a tv show from itunes.  I can sync to my iphone. I tried to sync to ipod touch 4gen. Sync seems to be fine, but the video doesn't show up.  While downloading from the store it shows in the list, when done, it disappears. what is happening?
I finally figured it out.  I had the parental controls restricting videos on my son's ipod.  Once I changed the restrictions, the videos appeared.

Fill out a customer service request, they will respond. I had a problem with my account and Apple was very helpful.
BTW... the store is still down.

  • WHEN YOU PURCHASE RV SHOWS FROM ITUNES ARE YOU ABLE TO PUT IT ON A DVD AND WATCH ON A REAL TV?

When you purchase a TV show from itunes are you able to put it on a DVD to watch on a real TV?

Sorry, but no, you can't. The content owners won't allow Apple to allow that feature. You can back up your videos, but you cannot convert them to any other format. If you want play video/movie content purchased from the iTunes Store on your TV, you'll need to connect your computer to your TV or use an iOS device or iPod (one with video out) or an Apple TV.

  • I downloaded tv shows from iTunes onto my iPad, but when I plugged into my computer it erased them from the iPad and they didn't get transferred to the computer. How do I get them back?

I downloaded tv shows from iTunes onto my iPad, but when I plugged into my computer it erased them from the iPad and they didn't get transferred to the computer. How do I get them back?

First, is your iTunes account on your computer, the account you set up your iPad with and the one you sync regularly with?  If yes, just reconnect your iPad to your computer, via USB and open iTunes.  After your iPad syncs, and you see the message that it's OK to disconnect, don't disconnect.  Click once on the iPad from the left side of your iTunes screen.  This will open your iPad in iTunes.  You would then click on Videos and you'll see the TV shows you downloaded.  You can choose individual shows, or choose to sync all videos to your iPad.  After you've moved what you wanted back, click apply, then sync again and you should be fine.

  • Help! Slow download on TV show from itunes

I bought a TV show from itunes, and it's downloading REALLY slowly. This is my first time using itunes, and right now, it's looking like my last. It says there is 270 hours remaining...that's ridiculous. I'm on a fast connection, I'm at college. My roommate says hers take 90 minutes, tops. Who can I get in contact with to fix this or get a refund? Is that even possible with Apple? I know how sh*tty the support from these companies can be. What should I do?

If you mean, can you download to Tunes on a computer, can you stream it to the Apple TV, then Yes.

  • Buying TV shows from iTunes USA

I live in Canada and I really want to download some shows from iTunes(USA). Am I able to do it just by using those pre-paid cards that they sell at Best Buy? Or do I have to give them a credit card number? Can someone help me???
    Dubular

This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: the content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Music Store you wish to use. So in order to buy from the US iTunes Music Store, you must (as proof of residence) have either:
    a) a credit card issued by a bank in the US with a billing address also in the, or
    b) a mailing address for your residence in the US and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in the US.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from the US iTMS. The same applies to any other country's iTMS.
This, again, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.

  • I purchased tv shows from iTunes and keep getting a download error tap to retry.

I purchased tv shows from iTunes and keep getting a download error tap to retry.  Why don't the shows download?  What can I do?

    Hello there Julfos,
I recommend this part of the article named iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1725.
If you cannot complete the download on your device, you can finish the download in iTunes on your computer and then sync it to your device. For instructions, see the following articles:
iTunes Store: Where can I download and sync my purchases?
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    Additional Information
If your purchase does not resume downloading after following the steps in this article, you can also try the following steps to troubleshoot the download issue.
    Restart your computer or device.
Check for updates for your Mac or PC and install any software updates. Also, check for and install updates for any security software you may have (anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, and so on).
If using Wi-Fi for Internet access, try using a different Wi-Fi network when downloading. If you are connecting to a home network, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. Also, check for and install any firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router. (Refer the manufacturer's website for your router to get information on updating its firmware).
If that does not resolve the issue then I recommend quitting all the apps running with this article, and trying again.
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
Perhaps even forgetting your home network and rejoining it.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap > and Forget this Network. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network again.
    Or resetting your network settings.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

    All the very best,

  • I can't load tv shows from iTunes onto my iPod touch.  I can't purchase video (tv shows) on the phone, either.  Anyone know anything about that?

I can't sync tv shows from iTunes to my iPod Touch (4th gen).  I can't purchase tv shows on the iPod, either.  Anyone know what the problem is?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Are you sure your computer is authorized for this? This is probably your issue.
If you go to the "Advanced" tab on the top in iTunes, is there a "Deauthorize computer..." button or an "Authorize computer..." button? If there's an "authorize computer" link, then that is your issue. Authorize your computer, and you should be able to transfer iTMS purchased songs from iTunes to iPod.
For details, see this Apple article:
    About iTMS authorization and deauthorization
    I hope this helps you,

  • Downloaded tv show from itunes and it won't play on my mac, just a black screen

downloaded tv show from itunes and it won't play on my mac, just a black screen

Did you burn the CD as an audio CD?
If not, that's your problem. Otherwise, without more details I can only guess. You might try a different brand of disk, or if you're using CD-RW try CD-R.

  • Adding music to a slide show from Itunes

How do i add music to a slide show from itunes? When i go into the Itunes folder I get all the way to where the music file should be and it says there are no files found.

    Hi Rodney,
    Here's what you do.
When you click on music and the window opens, click on your library then look at the bottom of the window where you will see a small clear dot - click and drag this up and voila - there's the music.
A very annoying feature that iPhoto hides this section by default.
