Story Editor greyed out and won't scroll in Indesign 5.5

I have a document that I edited in track changes a month ago. When I open it now, the "Edit in Story Editor" in the edit tab is greyed out. How can I open the story editor panel to see the changes??
I am running Indesign 5.5 on Vista x64.

I've never needed to work with Track Changes, so I don't know if it's likely to be any part of the cause, but in gneral, when some part of the program stops working as expected, it's either user error, a bug, or currupt preferences. I can't help with the first two, but here's a link to how to fix bad prefs: Replace Your Preferences
Also, be sure you've installed the 7.5.2 patch.

Have you tried dragging the photo from the iPHoto window into the open Word document window?

yes i called them right after i got the phone...it was about a hardware problem...well they would not help me out @ all...so i had to call at&t an i told them about it an i was going to return the phone ...i have been with at&t for yrs...so they called apple with me on the line ...an then an then only was apple trying to help me out.....just not trying to go back there a gain with them.....i think it was all in the update to the 6.0..... i cant even open the part to the setting that has the about the phone....i can open the software updated....

Updated mac to maverick and all my files from pages have greyed out and won't open ?

I use pages and also save a PDF when ive typed a document I updated to Maverick and all my pages and pdfs from before I updated have greyed out and I cannot open them help please

thank you Eric, but any of those solutions works because on Maverick the options on itunes: "Tap on the Info pane, then De-select the option to Sync Notes" is not longer available. Also, I have tried all those steps about de-select sync notes on iphone and mac. I need a solution that consider working on Maverick.

Why is my wifi greyed out and I can't turn it on. I tried turning off my phone and it didn't work.

Does that mean I have to get a new phone because I am passed my warranty I have had my phone 1 year and three months. This seems to be the software updates problem and I don't understand why I have to pay for a new phone, this is stupid. If I would of known about this problem I wouldn't of done the update. And to think I thought Apple was good.

All the apps that I have downloaded are "waiting" and whenever I try to sync apps on my computer with my phone, the apps section is greyed out and won't allow me to do anything. I have tried restoring to factory settings but it didn't work.

How can I access my apps? They are all greyed out in itunes. I have tried restoring my iphone to factory settings but that didn't work. I have a feeling it may have something to with the restrictions settings on my phone restrictions are on) but it won't allow me to change the restrictions without putting in a passcode. I don't remember ever having a passcode and after several attempts have not been able to get the right code.
Also. on my phone, in settings, personal hotspot, iCloud and Twitter are greyed out. And, the App Store icon is missing from my screen as well.
Can anybody help me with this?

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

Trying to attach saved doc to email but it shows as greyed out and won't open. If I convert same doc to pdf format it attaches OK. What am I doing wrong?

I'm new Mac user and can't work out why a saved pages doc won't attach to an email. I can see it in Finder and open it in Pages but when I try to attach it shows up in grey and won't open. If I then convert the same doc to pdf it's OK. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your answer. You guess right. I have my personal mail in Apple Mail program but my business account is via Google Apps for work so operates like a gmail account and that's the one I need for attachments. The Pages version I have is 5.2(1860). It would be good to fix if I can without having to make the extra step of pdf conversion. I purchased the computer a week ago and it's OSX 10.9.5 which I guess is the latest version. Should I upgrade to Yosemite? Perhaps that has a later version of Pages? Thanks again. Barbara

I Have had my iPhone 5s since feb and never had an issue, but just yesterday the finger print scanner stopped working... Went back in to enable and the options are greyed out.. When I click them to enable them it just says failed. Have restored and turned off loads!! Help!!!!

Try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Macintosh HD greyed out and won't repair or mount; no Admin privilege in ML on USB

Hi everyone I am not a specialist by any means, but I have been trying to help my friend fix his Macbook aluminum after a disaster installing Mountain Lion.
After attempting to install ML over Snow Leopard on the Macbook, I was not able to install it except to a USB key (painfully slow). It was stuck in an installation loop, wherein it would not go back to SL nor would it go forward with ML on the Macintosh HD.
The Macintosh HD is greyed out in disk utility and cannot be mounted or repaired, it gives the "Invalid catalog PEOF" response.
Attempting to boot from HD now gives the flashing ? folder.
Booting from the USB key, I cannot even modify anything because for some reason Mountain Lion installed without any Admin accounts! This created a huge new problem in addition.
This is a very frustrating problem and I am trying to do my best to at least rescue his data from the HD. No we have no money at present for Disk Warrior.
Any help is greatly appreciated because this is seriously perplexing for me and also frustrating for my friend.

1) In a Finder window, select the Macintosh HD. Can you see the contents? If yes, you can select to drag over files.
2) Download SuperDuper (free) When it opens does it recognize the internal drive in the popup? If yes, you will need to make a second portion on your external drive for the clone of your internal drive.
3) If you can't see the contents or the drive in Finder or SuperDuper then you will need to download and run Mavericks over the internal drive.

Are restrictions on? Check Settings > General > Restrictions.
There are installing apps and deleting apps restrictions possible.

Trying to turn on location services for running app, but all app names greyed out and won't change?

Would really appreciate a hand. I'm wanting to track my running using an app which uses GPS to follow my route. The app told me I needed to turn on location services for that app through settings > general > location settings. I can see the names of all the apps there (some set to on, some set to off) going through the privacy menu but everything is greyed out. How do I turn it on?

My wifi has just stopped working and is on the 'off' position and won't let me change it.... After turning my phone off a few times it started working but now it's decided to not work at all... I've reset my network settings etc but still no joy, any ideas??

Can I back up to icloud without using wi-fi as the wi-fi option on my iphone is greyed out and won't turn on

I have an appointment with Apple store later this week and want to be able to back up my phone to icloud before I go. Can this be done without using wi-fi. If it can, how do I do it?

Thanks Diesel, I've tried connecting 2 iTunes & selecting backup 2 iCloud but it will only back up to computer.
I've tried going into settings & restrictions 2 change settings there (as a google search suggested) but I can't remember password so it won't let me in to it. Do u have any other suggestions or any idea what I can do 2 get in restrictions without password?

TS1398 why has my 4s wifi slide button greyed out and won't let me turn wifi on?

My 4s will not connect to wifi anymore. Completely randomly after an overnight charge I think, the wifi slide button is locked at off and will not let me turn it on.

Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. See if fixed. If not, Restore iPhone with iTunes on your computer. See if fixed. If not, and if there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send iPhone to Apple for resolution.
