Strain Excitation setting, effect on output

Hello all,On a PCI-6221 / SCXI-1520 / SCXI-1314 system, I am setting the excitation voltage to 1, 5, or 10V, and my unloaded reading is different with each setting, but the output change vs. pressure is proportionally the same. (i.e., applying 50 ft.lbs gives the same delta from zero with each different excitation applied). Could there be something in the 1314 that is doing this? I am not familiar with how it has been setup internally.  Thanks!
Richard

Hi Broken Ar...,
This is expected behavior, since different sypply voltage cause different offset result.
To correct it in software, try adjusting initial voltage when setting up the task for each supply voltage.

After Effects warning: couldn't set Quicktime video output display mode
I'm getting this error when exporting video from after effects. I also get it when the program starts up. I'm using Windows XP. Cannot find anything about a fix anywhere. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for your reply. I profess ignorance regarding the GDI only mode and have no idea how to access that. Can you give me a little more info on that?
I am using an ATI Radeon HD 3850. I have two monitors on that card, Monitor one is a Trinitron HP 1130 CRT.(set to 1280x1024 16bit) The other is DVI wide screen Ilo 26 inch monitor. (1024x768 at 32 bit)
I have a BlackMagic Design DECKLINK standard definition broadcast card which outputs component video to a sony broadcast Beta deck. 480ix720 standard video.
The machine has a gigabyte motherboard. Intel Core 2 quad cpu 2.66 ghz
2.50 gb ram reported (4gigs installed)
These hasn't been a major issue as I can still output AVI uncompressed but it is annoying.

  • Anyway to set ProPhotoRGB as output space in ACR hosted by Elements?

Is there anyway to set ProPhoto RGB as the output space in ACR 4.4.1 hosted by Ps Elements 6 on a Windows Vista Home Premium laptop?
The images will be properly corrected using the full version of Photoshop 10.0.1 on my Mac, but I'm used to seeing the ACR preview window with ProPhoto RGB 16-bit set as the output space.
Or do the limitations of Ps Elements cripple ACR in this regard too?

    > I'm assuming the choices of sRGB and AdobeRGB in Element's ACR is strictly output and working space. Regardless of which is chosen the preview stays the same in ACR. Correct?
    > Does Elements ACR embed the sRGB or AdobeRGB working space after saving to tiff and can you save in 16bit tiff as well?
The way things work in Elements is that you have four choices for colour management:
None - This means any file you open will have any embedded profile ignored, the working space is effectively the same as your monitor, when you save a file any existing profile is removed.
Optimize for Web - This sets the working space to sRGB, so any file without a profile will be edited in that space. When you save such a file you can embed sRGB as it's profile on saving.
Optimize for Print - This sets the working space to Adobe RGB, and then behaves as for optimze for web but using Adobe RGB.
Let me choose - For files with no embedded profile, you can choose between sRGB or Adobe RGB and that will be the working space profile for that file. You can then save it with that profile.
For the latter three options, Elemenets always preserves the embedded profile if a file has one. So, if you have Elements set to optimze for web, but open a file with Adobe RGB, it will use Adobe RGB. Unlike full PS, you can't force sRGB working space on an Adobe RGB file. It will also preserve ProPhoto RGB too it seems, even though it's not a profile you can use in Elements to create files with.
Elements also provides the ability to convert (not assign) between sRGB and Adobe RGB. You can effectively do an assign by saving a file without the embedded profile, and then setting Elements colour settings to let me choose and then selecting the profile you wanted at that point...
As for ACR, I believe the preview works no differently than it does in full PS other than there is no option to select the output space in the ACR window (along with other restricted options). This is effectively set by the Elements color settings above, so you will get sRGB for optimse for web or Adobe RGB for optimise for print. When it's set to let me choose, I think it defaults to using whatever your camera's default colour space is set to as this is still in the EXIF info, but am not sure there. ACR does let you specify 16 bit output though, so depending on the base colour settings in Elements you can create a 16-bit AdobeRGB TIFF file, save it with the correct profile, and also easily create a correct 8-bit sRGB JPEG from it for web use.
So, no, Elements is not as flexible as full PS, but, if you want to stick with Adobe RGB and sRGB, then I reckon it's all there and it's not quite as pathetic as Ramon says. If you want ProPhoto RGB, then to be fair, Elements is probably not for you anyway.

  • Hearing the effects on output through the amp

I'm using a new interfact (m-audio fast track ultra) and have had no issues with set up. I've got my guitar going through input 1 and out to my amp - no problem. But - I don't hear any the pedal effects on output. I hear them on the track recording - but, is it not possible to hear the effects on output? My amp is connected to the m-audio output so, my assumption - which may be incorrect - is that garageband is feeding the m-audio via the USB 2 connection, thus, any applied effects would be audible on output.
Perhaps I'm all wrong - though I'm hopeful that I just have a configuration issue.
Many thanks if anyone has any info that will help.

  • How to set a default output device for FAX outputs

    Hi Experts,
Business requires to set a default output device for fax outputs ( Medium as 2 Fax medium ).
as fas as print output ( medium as 1 print medium ) is considered we can maintain output device in condition record--> communication
I tried maintaining output device in VP01 for my condition type based on sales org but it did not worked.
Can you please suggest ways to achieve default output device for fax outputs.
    Thanks,

Well, obvious solution would be to either update user profiles or change the output from 'process immediately' to 'process by a background job'. Then create a generic user ID with any fax number desired and use that user ID to process the output through the background job.
This is not really an SD question, so if this simple option doesn't work for you, I'd suggest to discuss other custom solution with your ABAP / Basis team.

  • Set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type

    Dear Experts,
I need to set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type
Kindly let me know how can I do this in SAP
    Regards
    Shetty

    Hi,
As I understand your question, you need to set up an output type for printing Goods Receipt in Sales Order (RE) - perhaps when the RE order is saved. For this, you can follow the following steps. Also you need to take the help of an ABAPer to develop a form which prints as per your requirement.
For configuring the output, follow the steps
    a. Go to SPRO>Sales and Distribution > Basic Function > Output Control > Define Output type.
    b. Create a new output type (Eg: ZTRE)
    c. Create a new Access Sequence and put in the required condition tables... The Key combination may be Document Type / Customer or Document Type /  Sales Orgnaization / Distribution Channel. etc.
    d. Assign the access sequence to the new output type.
    e. Create a new ouput procedure and assign new output type to it.
    f. Assign this new output procedure to the document type.
    g. In Tcode: VV11 maintain the condition record for Output type ZTRE.
When the output type is created, a form and a program needs to be assigned to it so that the requirement of GR slip gets printed. You have to take the ABAper's help for the same. You have to mention the fields which have to be printed on the GR Slip. You can do the same for delivery document as well.
Else you can go to Tcode: NACE to do the same configuration. You have to select V1 for Sales documents.
    Hope this answeres your question
    Thanks

  • How to set up the output device in output determinatin with customer master

    Hi,
I am doing the output determination using customer master and not conditions technique.  Can anybody please let me know how to set up the output device . I have done the following:
    1)  assigned output determination procedure DB00001 to acct group 0001
    2)  added output type BA00 to customer master documents tab with print as the medium.
    3)  On creating a sales order and changing it its giving the message
BA00     515     No printer defined for output BA00
Please provide me with some suggestions , how to resolve this issue.
    thanx
    Jayant

    1. tcode V/30 -> check BA00 type -> goto  "print" tab -> what's set in the "print param." field?
    2. IMG ->SD -> basic functions -> output control -> define print parameters -> V1 output -> for BA00 output type -> Assign a default printer. This is related with the "print param." set in step 1.
For example: if "print parame." is set to '1' in V/30, then the default printer is assigned to sales organization.
You can check F4 search help on the "print param." field (in V/30) to see what options you have.
If you want to specify printer by customer account, you may need to use userexit.

  • Set up an output determination

    Dear All,
Our deliveries operations to customers are handle by a third party. We are facing an issue related to timely document transmission from our office to this third party warehouse location. To solve this issue we need your help on how to set up an output determination in SD that can output document to a default SAP printer and at the same time send an e-mail to the third party. This external recipient (third party) should therefore receive an e-mail with a PDF attachment containing the form image of the document printed on SAP printer in our office.
Our current output determination settings cannot perform the task of sending a copy of a document via external email.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
    For your question,
Firstly you had better define two output type (I.E. condition type), one is for sold-to party, the other is for the third party, which maybe is your forwarder, and so on!
    Secondly revise your access sequence of output control, deactivate the indicator of "Exclusive" in the access sequence table;
At last generate the condition records: for sold-to party, select "1Printoutput" as the message transmission method and define the default SAP printer; for third party, select "5External send" and define the "Dispatch time" as "Send immediately (when saving the application)".
    That will be okay!
    Good luck
    Z.T

  • Setting different analog output's parameters in PCI-6229 DAQ card

    Hello,
We are using DAQ assistant to set the analog output parameters (frequency).
Is it possible to set different values for each channel using DAQ assistant?
If not using DAQ assistant, what  is the other way to set it?
    Thank You
    Arunas

If you are trying to set different frequencies for waveform generation on two channels, the answer is No, it can't be done. If possible, you will have to pick a sample rate high enough to work for both signals, and use an over-sampled waveform.
Another choice would be to use a second device for the second waveform.

    Hi Tim
    Thanks for your response.
I have used landscape mode and as my table in the report are wide and at present the pdf is generated in letter size .
Is there any way to restrict my output to A4 so that they wont need to change any print settings before they take the print .As i cannot use the A4 size paper in design as many of reports tables are wide.

  • Media Encoder (AMC) F4V - none of the video setting effect file size????

When I used to use sorenson squeeze, mov  i could get a web flick down to 15 MB by reducing frame rate or size.
when using AMC - F4V - no matter what size or settings the same movie satays at about 34MB (with olny slight varistions if i tweek audio)
How do i get the file size smaller if none of the video setting effect file size????

In the limited amount of comparison testing I've done, I've found that 2-pass VBR files are consistently smaller than CBR files, all other things being equal. They're not always a great deal smaller, but they've never exceeded the size of the CBR files, and this goes for any type of encoding I've done, whether it's MPEG-2 for a DVD, or a web format like WMV, FLV (VP6), or H.264. This seems to be true even when the target and the maximum bitrate for the 2-pass VBR files match the bitrate "quantity" of the target bitrate of the 1-pass CBR files, and I've noticed this in any encoding application I use, whether it's AME, Sorenson Squeeze, or TMPGEnc Xpress. When analyzing my VBR-encoded files using an application such as MediaInfo, the average bitrate that is reported is never even close to my max bitrate, and is usually well under my target bitrate.
I see two reasons for this:
If you're encoding with CBR and set your bitrate at 1000kbps, for instance, the encoder will simply allocate 1000kbps of bandwidth (divided by the frame rate) to each and every frame of video, regardless of how complex or simple each frame is. Each frame will be compressed to as near 1000kbps (divided by the framerate) as possible. Using CBR, you can more or less estimate the end file size by multiplying the bitrate by the duration in seconds. Think of it as filling a series of water glasses: with CBR, you fill each glass full, regardless of how much each individual actually wants to drink.
If you're encoding with 2-pass VBR and set your maximum bitrate to 1000kbps and (for argument's sake) your target bitrate to 1000kbps as well, the encoder will use the first pass to figure out how much available bandwidth is needed at each individual point of time, and that writes that to a log file that the second pass of the encoder then uses to properly allocate those available bits to the frames that need them the most. If a particular passage of the video can be encoded at a lower bitrate, and still maintain a prescribed level of visual quality, the encoder will simply put the squeeze on a little more. Back to our water glass analogy from above, this is the equivalent of filling each water glass with only as much water as each individual wants.
For example, using the max/target bitrate set above, a low-motion/low-complexity passage of video may be able to be encoded at only 500kbps and yet maintain the visual quality of 1000kbps. This results in a fewer bytes needed to encode that particular duration of the video, and usually there are multiple sections in a video that can be treated as such. This has a cumulative effect and subsequently results in a final encoded video that has a smaller file size than it would had it be encoded at the same bitrate, but with CBR encoding.
I'm not a software engineer or mathemagician, so I can't back all this up with empirical evidence, but in real-world practice, these have been my observations. Long story short: I always use 2-pass VBR for web-distributed encodes, and enjoy both smaller and better-looking files, at the expense of a coffee break.

  • Account Analysis Report parameters doesn't take effect on output

    Hi all,
I run the Account Analysis Report(XLAAARPT) but the parameters doesn't take effect on output... In System Administrator responsibility i check the params P_RESP_APPLICATION_ID and P_JE_SOURCE_NAME to be displayed so the user can choose from LoV but the didn't take any effect on the result. If i specify to display the result from this report only for Payables source - i receive all other sources too(Asset, Receivables, etc...). Any ideas what should i change to make it work correctly?
    EBS Version : 12.1.3.
    Thanks in advance,

Issue solved. I have to change the data definition xml file by adding some WHERE clauses to use the parameter for the source. In fact i'm not sure this is the best way to achieve it but it works.

  • After Effects CC Output Modules on Render Only Machines

Hi there, I'm having an issue with custom Output Module Templates and my renderfarm:
After Effects CC 12.0.0.404 (showing as up to date in Creative Cloud)
Mac OS X 10.8.4 (Latest Mountain Lion version)
Mac Pro 2.93 GHz 8-Core, Radeon 5870, 32GB RAM and with Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 3D+
Remote Machines (there are four) are Mac Pros as well (Quad-core, running 10.7.2 with 16GB RAM), using the ae_render_only_node.txt file in their user Documents folder.
    The exact error:
aerender ERROR: No output module template was found with the given name.
I am trying to get a renderfarm working with After Effects CC (see exact version above). Unfortunately, I need custom output modules and I can't seem to get the render slaves to recognize them. I found older threads on this exact issue, but no solution was found.
I am using commandline aerender in OS X terminal to start a render with a basic test scene.
To simplify things, I have tried testing this on one render slave machine at a time... Same result everywhere.
    Here's what I've tried:
I exported a .aom file from my main machine (where I have my desired custom Output Modules) and attempted to bring it in on the render slaves. However, because the render slaves are render only, (they have ae_render_only_node.txt in their Documents folder), the ability to import Output Modules is disabled in After Effects (it opens as the After Effects Render Engine, and the Edit>Templates menu is greyed out).
Next, I thought I'd try copying the main machine's /Users/(user)/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/12.0 folder over to the render slaves, thinking that would get whatever preference file to them that's needed to define the output modules. No luck. Launched After Effects (which loads as After Effects Render Engine) and reset my disk cache preferences (so they weren't still the main machine's). Tried aerender again... no luck. Same error:
aerender ERROR: No output module template was found with the given name.
After that, I thought it would be a good idea to sign out of Adobe Creative Cloud on the main machine, and try logging into the render slave machine with my full UserID and Password and temporarily remove the ae_render_only_node.txt file. Then, I'd import the .aom file in the full version of AE... I tried this and success! The renders work... they find the Output Modules no problem. Only issue is, as soon as I sign out, and switch to using the ae_render_only_node.txt file, the Output Modules are not found. Not sure what's going on-- if the Output Modules are being disabled by the ae_render_only_node.txt file? Or maybe signing out of my Adobe ID is removing the preferences that determine Output Modules? Don't know where the Output Module preferences are stored to be able to tell.
Next attempt: I thought I'd try syncing my preferences with Creative Cloud. I made sure to check After Effects Sync Preferences to ensure that Output Modules are set to sync. I did a sync where I uploaded my preferences from the main machine. Then, on the render slaves, I ran Sync Preferences, and chose to download preferences. Works when signed in, but not when used as a render only node. When it's a render only node, it still prompts me to Download the Sync Preferences and Quit the Application, which I do, but nothing seems to happen. I try aerender again, and still the same error:
aerender ERROR: No output module template was found with the given name.
I can't seem to find any info on where Output Modules are actually stored (apparently they're not anywhere in the User/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/ folder?). Are render only nodes not allowed to have custom Output Modules? Not even for something as simple as the Multi-Machine Sequence with a post-render action of Set Proxy enabled?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thank You.

I've verified this problem and filed a bug. Sorry about the hiccup.
I've trying to pin down why this happens, and while I don't have a full explanation yet I think I've stumbled onto a workaround:
Trash the prefs on the render machine.
    Enable the ae_render_only_node.txt file.
Launch AE and then quit. <- This is a critical step. More on this later.
    Disable ae_render_only_node.txt file.
    Launch AE.
    Add your Output Module template.
    Quit AE.
    Enable the ae_render_only_node.txt file.
After you do this, I highly recommend making a backup copy of the Adobe After Effects 12.0 Prefs-indep-output.txt file. Just in case. I've had the failure reappear.
Now test with aerender and let me know if that works. It has on my machine.
Why does this matter? When you run AE with the ae_render_only_node.txt file enabled, it appears to add a new section to the preferences: "Output Module Preference Section v28-TRIAL". It's the TRIAL part that is important. Without it, AE doesn't seem to be able to keep track of the OM's when in render_only_node mode. And if you disable the ae_render_only_node.txt file, AE has a tendency to destroy the TRIAL section (I'm still tracing why that happens).
Now, should this not work for you, I recommend you work around the problem by adding your comps to the render queue in each project. When you do that, and change your aerender flags appropriately, you can render to your desired settings without specifying OMtemplate parameter.
    > I can't seem to find any info on where Output Modules are actually stored (apparently they're not anywhere in the User/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/ folder?).
You probably already discovered this. In After Effects CC the OM data is stored in the Adobe After Effects 12.0 Prefs-indep-output.txt file. In older versions of AE, a single pref file such as Adobe After Effects 11.0-x64 Prefs.txt holds all of this data.
Let me know if that workaround does the trick for you. If I get more information on the cause of the problem I'll update you.
