Strange arrow in icon bar [N72]

I have recently discovered a strange icon in the icon bar (next to bluetooth)
It looks like this:
The / has an arrow shape.
Ik found some other topics were the Outbox and Redirecting calls were mentioned.
I cleared all my messages, (except some files in "my folders" (if i translated it right))
I tried to reset the redirecting options, but all I get back is "Not Allowed".
Does it have any effect on my calls/messages?
How do I solve this?
I own the N72 now 2,5 Years, I see the logo first now.

it is either something to do with gprs thats active go to packet data settings and select to when needed,or esle its a call divert you may have set up without realising
If i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
Now using the Lumia 1520

• Strange arrows on Bookmarks Bar

There are a strange set of arrows on my Bookmarks Bar. Please check this URL: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/cocorocara/MyScreenshot.png
The underlying bookmark has nothing to do with it. Even if I delete the bookmark, the arrows still remain.
I am using Firefox 3.6.13 on Ubuntu 10.10. I haven't installed any new extensions or themes. How can I get rid of these arrows?
Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem in firefox 4 on ubuntu 10.10. The arrows appeared after I switched back to the default theme from a theme that was incompatible with firefox 4. I have tried starting in safe mode; the arrows are still there in safe mode.

• Strange battery looking icon on my IPod

Hello, I am unable to use my IPod. When I turn it on it shows a strange disconnected battery icon. When I connect it to either an outlet or the USB port nothing happens. I know it has a charge as it has been connected to my computer, my cousin's computer and a wall outlet for more than enough time.
After it has been connected for about a few minutes the open apple icon appears and it remains on the IPod screen until I give up. After an undetermined amount of time the screen goes blank.
Can you help me?

I'm just trying top determine if the battery is dead for good and if I just need to send it back.
When I connect iPod to the computer via USB, I get a large battery icon (one bar lit)in the middle of the screen with the lightening bolt through it. However, that icon is not listed in the icon list that is available on the Apple site (or at least I couldn't find it). After several seconds it will go to the "sad" icon, then to the Apple logo, and back to the "sad".
iPod is making some noise which sounds like the hard disk trying to work (a consistent clicking noise), but going nowhere.
Beacuse of this, I can't "update" or "restore" the iPod because the computer doesn't recognize it as a device at all.
Troubleshooting doesnt seem to address this secenario.
Anyone have this same problem.

• Why is location arrow on status bar every time i open lock screen even when nothing running

why is location arrow on status bar every time i open lock screen even when nothing running

Something is using location services...
Go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services. You can see what, if anything, is currently using location services, and what has used it within the last 24 hours.
An open location services arrow means there is a geo-fenced reminder set.

• Installed Firefox on Windows 7 but the menu and icons bar is full of little horizontal lines over the icons and menu bar..

I installed Firefox 21 on a new Windows 7 OS. The menu bar and the icon bar at the top of the windows is full of little horizontal lines. Sometimes there are more lines and sometime less lines. It makes the icons and the menu items almost impossible to see. So far it's only the Firefox screen that does this. The other programs I installed so far doesn't do this.
Any ideas?

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.

• When I press tab, an annoying icon bar pops up in front of my window showing all my open windows, how can I stop this?

Whenever I use the tab key on my keyboard to try to move between fields on the screen, instead of moving the curser I get an icon bar that pops up in front of the the window, showing all my open windows. I don't want this to happen anymore, please tell me how to stop it.

Sounds that Windows thinks that the Alt key is (still) pressed.
Does it help if you press all status keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) a few times?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

• Customise icon bar?

I've spent loads of time - mostly frustrating - trying to learn how to use InDesignb after being a Pagemaker user for years. I've resolved many questions, but still have some outstanding - I'll probably group them on separate 'threads'. So first:
I've found the customise menus - but they are just a choice of which bits to do or not do from predetermined InDesign menus & panels. Confusingly some items are on more than one.
Is there a way to customise the icon bars (or whatever they are called top and left side). They include lots of things I don't use, but I'd like to include others - eg group/ungroup, show hidden characters/or not, relink, send to back/front, spell check, textwrap ignore, etc. These and others were just a click away on PageMaker (right click,Control panel, etc), but seem to need several clicks to get at now. Something like the drag & drop icons (onto or off) on Word 'customise' would be helpful.
Is there an icon to show if an object has been resized proprtinally? - PageMaker had 2 rectangles (disproportionate), or 2 squares (in proportion) on the Control Panel when an illustration was selected. I find the InDesign resizing & cropping very confusing to handle.
I have put most of the 'panels' on the right side list but often just to get at the one thing which is not already on the top panel, which takes several clicks.
I look forward to your suggestions.

Sorry, I think I was unclear. Yes, you can edit the control panel menus from the Edit > Menus command, but that only affects the menus, not the buttons. Perhaps you haven't yet discovered the panel menus... they are little buttons with a triangle and some horizontal lines that open a "flyout" menu for each panel.
Open the control panel menu ( the button is on the far right end) and choose Customize... to see what can be turned off and on. Most of the buttons are clustered into groups that are on or off as a group, and most are fairly intuitive. The ones that look like a family tree or flowchart are for choosing the content or container for a selected object, or for moving through a group to selct individual objects. If a button is active, there should also be a tool tip if you hover over it. Help is not too complete on this, unfortunately.
You can choose what is displayed (up to what will fit on the panel -- some things may be hidden on narrower screens even if selected), but not the positioning. If there is room, the control panel will display many controls for both character and paragraph level adjustments in either mode.

• Strange Character in Menu Bar

My friend called me with a strange problem on his Mac Mini. He said today when he restarted his Mac all this desktop icons and menu bars have been change. Instead of the normal menus such as File, Edit, View etc... He now sees a bunch of "A" with square boxes around them. I had him repair disk permissions, reset PRAM. I also took him into the international system pref to see if his default language and Input menu had been changed away from English/US. Those all checked out as normal. I had him send me a screen shot of what he's seeing. I've posted it here: http://members.cox.net/bdm12071980/icons.jpg
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

• Down arrow in scroll bar missing

Most of the time the down arrow on the scroll bar is missing or occupies the same space as the page expansion square in the lower right hand corner. This happens whether the up scrolling arrow is at the bottom or the top. It happens with all pages on Firefox and most pages from search engines. Sometimes it is there. It is on this page and some linked pages.

strange problem. Not sure if it will help but you can try this:
run the following command in the terminal
defaults write "Apple Global Domain" AppleScrollBarVariant DoubleBoth
restart Firefox and see what happens. the above is supposed to put up and down scroll arrows both at the top and at the bottom of the page.

• Strange sms and icon question

Hello, I just got my blackberry 8120 today from T-Mobile, and I have a strange icon on the screen that is not in my manual. The icon looks like a smiley face with a star over it's right (my left lol) eye with the number 1 by it. I checked all messages, including voicemail just to be sure, and nothing. It was on my phone for about 5 hours today than mysteriously disappeared. Anyone have any idea? Also, I keep getting sms from sender 10476000000 and all it says is n:m=1=1. I tried googling it and nothing, both the sender and the message content. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
David

David, that sounds like a BlackBerry Messenger message alert or a friend is adding you as a contact and you need to accept it. In your icons, look for BlackBerry Messenger. Could be in a Instant Messaging folder.
