Strange behaviour using the "Save Region(s) As..."

I'm encountering some apparently repeatable oddities when using the "Save Region(s) As..." command.
I take one long track, snip it up into smaller regions (say, 20) and then in the Audio Window menu, select all the regions and use "Save Region(s) As..." from the Audio File menu.
What happens is that the FIRST time I try this Logic only saves EVERY FOURTH REGION as a new audio file, ie if I had 20 regions selected I'll only get 5 new audio files!
If I select all the regions and try it again, Logic now saves all the regions correctly and in order.
(File conversion settings all are set to "Preserve Original" "No Change".)
Anyone else?

correction:
this only happens when i delete the first region, then save the remainder. to clarify:
load audio file. there's one region showing, which consists of the entire audio file. go make 16 new regions, so you've got 17 total. delete the first one, which is the full length of the file. now you've got 16. select all 16 by click-dragging down the side of the audio window so all 16 are selected. "save regions as..." saves only regions 2-16.
when i don't do that initial delete of the full-length region, all regions are saved properly.

Anyone else experiencing strange behaviour using the App Store/iTunes

I'm having a strange problem with both iTunes and the App Store apps. Searching for items is hit or miss, sometimes no results are returned or tiles are missing their pics etc. Clicking on a item of interest like a TV show, for example, brings up the details page but sometimes the individual episodes descriptions/pics won't load.
The first time I used the new App Store it was showing me GBP currency instead of CDN. I checked my settings and my location was set as Canada, so it definitely wasn't a settings issue on my end. Killing the app and going back in seemed to fix the problem.
I was just browsing some new games when I ran into another problem, prompting me to post here. I clicked on a game's icon/tile to access the details page, but nothing happened. Clicked it again thinking it was me and this time the tile showed as depressed but nothing happened. Clicked another tile and it depressed as well (and the first tile stayed in that state too) but the details page didn't load.
I definitely think there are a few bugs in the new App Store/iTunes apps. Very annoying as there are a few purchases that I'd like to make but can't. Argh.
This all started after upgrading to iOS 6, which has otherwise been fine so far.
Anyone else having similar problems?

YES! I am having a lot of AppStore problems since iOS 6. My 2 main issues are:
1. AppStore crashes constantly or will just sit & spin then does nothing at all.
2. If I search for a specific App, making sure my spelling is correct, AppStore will NOT bring the app up. Instead, it will bring up unrelated apps.
Podcasts app does the same thing, as well as jumbling up dates. Very impossible to find the correct episode.
APPLE, please tell me you are reading this and that a fix is quickly under way!!

The strange behaviour of the notification

     .Net API 3.3.1.2
     I have C++ GUI client with grid. It shows in the grid all updates from Coherence.
     I have also the 'server' application, which inserts objects into Coherence (1 - 2 per second).
     I use 'near-scheme' with front set to local-scheme and back set to remote-cache-scheme.
     I have 3 GUI clients connected to the Coherence and i have the strange behaviour of the clients. The insert comes to one of them three times instead of one. I've checked in the debugger and it's true. The insert really comes three times. But when i've restarted the client all became to work fine.
     It's bad that i can't repeat this situation, it happens from time to time.
     Does anybody get the same situation?
     I've masked it by the checking key and version of object, but it's really strangely.

I am trying to use the "save my passords" feature and it never asks me to save them and never saves them on it's own. How do I enable this feature?

When using the "Save as PDF" button

When using the "Save as PDF" button/function on the "View Responses" page for a selected response will the resulting file be savable locally and printable on 8.5x11" paper?
Also its Help bubble says that is savable as a PDF form. Does it really mean as a PDF file? Because saving it as a form appears to be a different option according to one pricing structure.

When you use the Save as PDF a pdf file if the form is created and saved to your local machine. When you save as PDF you have the option of having the resulting pdf file have a submit button or not have the button. There is also a feature where you can export the form to a template format called FCDT.

For Windows 7, Printscreen, open a New File in Photoshop, Ctrl v to paste, then save as jpeg (the other trick was for windows 8)
Use the Camera icon on your reply to upload it.
Also File > Save for Web is a good workaround if you just need a jpeg, png, or gif.

When i'm done building a sequence i want to prevent other engineers to save the sequence with the same filename (or version number).
Is it somehow possible to "hide" the save button and only use the save as function?
Or is there another possiblity to solve my problem.
The idea is to have a sequence called Sequence_V1.0.seq which i have build. When installing this in a factory enviroment I would like whenever there is a change needed in the sequence that the version number increases (manual action) (becomes Sequence_V1.1.seq). So from the moment you want to save i would like to only have the function save as. In this way you are obligated to fill in a new sequence name (original sequence will be read-only)
What would even be great if there could be a log of what the changes were

1) You could mark the file as read-only, by default you would then not be able to save over it. The user could make it not read-only though if they know what they are doing.
2) Another possibility is to lock the sequence file for editing (this is a teststand feature). Go to the Sequence File Property dialog, on the advanced tab, where it says Password Protection, set it to Not Editable and give it a good password. This doesn't however keep someone from saving another file to the same name as the locked one, but they at least won't be able to saved the locked file again without your password, nor will they be able to edit it.

It's actually even easier than using Save As to see the full path to the currently open document. Just do a "Secondary click" on the document title in its window's title bar.
Like you, I relied upon Save As my whole life to check a file's location and considered it a must-have capability. Turns out it's even faster to use the single-click method to reveal the full path to the open document. It displays the entire path to the current document starting from the level of your Mac, and works for files stored on drives as well as iCloud.
If you're not sure how to do a secondary click, go into System Preferences, select Trackpad, Point & Click to find the current preference for secondary click on your Mac. If you happen to have a mouse with more than one button, it's probably the right button. As a trackpad user, I check the box to "Click or tap with two fingers," so a simple two finger tap on the title of an open document reveals its full path. This feature actually has been around for a very long time.
Note that this is not the same thing as the Autosave and Versions menu, which is exposed using a little drop down triangle to the right of the title. There is no visual clue for the presence of this feature - you just have to know it's there, probably because this feature goes all the way back to pre-OS X days.

No, there isn't. The way you're using the file is not recommended. You
should use a review tracker to avoid getting in the way of one another.

Strange behaviour of the forum website

Since yesterday I observe a strange behaviour of the forum website:
There is a thread by Foto-Gabriela called "LR 3.4 crashes after some hours of work with very strange behaviour"
When I select "All threads" I cannot see this thread, but when I select "Open questions", it is visible.
It says that there are 6 answers. When I click on the thread, it comes up with only 3 answers visible.
What's going on, here?

You can't really force it, but you can encourage it... For example, you can set the file as read-only and add an instruction to do so before the file is saved using a script.

Strange memory behaviour using the System.Collections.Hashtable in object reference

Dear all,
Recently I came across a strange memory behaviour when comparing the system.collections.hashtable versus de scripting.dictionary object and thought to analyse it a bit in depth. First I thought I incorrectly destroyed references to the class and
child classes but even when properly destroying them (and even implemented a "SafeObject" with deallocate method) I kept seeing strange memory behaviour.
Hope this will help others when facing strange memory usage BUT I dont have a solution to the problem (yet) suggestions are welcome.
Setting:
I have a parent class that stores data in child classes through the use of a dictionary object. I want to store many differenct items in memory and fetching or alteging them must be as efficient as possible using the dictionary ability of retrieving key
/ value pairs. When the child class (which I store in the dictionary as value) contains another dictionary object memory handeling is as expected where all used memory is release upon the objects leaving scope (or destroyed via code). When I use a system.collection.hashtable
no memory is released at all though apears to have some internal flag that marks it as useable for another system.collection.hashtable object.
I created a small test snippet of code to test this behaviour with (running excel from the Office Plus 2010 version) The snippet contains a module to instantiate the parent class and child classes that will contain the data. One sub will test the Hash functionality
and the other sub will test the dictionary functionality.

Thank you for going through my post and took the time to reply :) Most apreciated. The issue I am facing is that the memory is not reallocated when using mixed object types and is not behaving the same. I not understand that .net versus the older methods
use memory allocation differently and perhaps using the .net dictionary object (in stead of the scripting.dictionary) may lead to similar behaviour. {Curious to find that out -> put to the to do list of interesting thingies to explore}
I agree that allocated memory is not a bad thing as the blocks are already assigned to the program and therefore should be reallocated with more performance. However the dictionary object versus hashtable perform almost identical (and sometimes even favor
the dictionary object)
The hashtable is clearly the winner when dealing with small sets of data.
The issue arises when I am using the hash table in conjunction with another type, for example a dictionary, I see that the dictionary object's memory is stacked on top of the claimed memory space of the hashtable. It appears that .net memory allocation and
reuse is for .net references only. :) (Or so it seems)
In another example I got with the similar setup, I see that the total used memory is never released or reclaimed and leakage of around 20% allocated memory remains to eventually crash the system with the out of memory message. (This is when another class
calls the parent class that instantiates the child class but thats not the point of the question at hand)
This leakage drove me to investigate and create the example of this post in the first place. For the solution with the class -> parent class -> child class memory leak I switched all to dictionaries and no leakage occurs anymore but nevertheless thought
it may be good to share / ask if anyone else knows more :D (Never to old to learn something new)

Strange behaviour of the rangeSize - or is it desired?

as recently asked in Difference between VO Fetch Size, Iterator rangeSize and af:table Fetch Siz we have a problem with the rangeSize property of the iterator binding.
First of all, we're currently working wit JDev version 11.1.2.2.0. So, we have a page with a table. In this table is nested inside a panel collection which is nested inside a panel stretch layout. To cut a long story short, it stretches.
The rangeSize is now set to the default 25, but you could see in the fullscreen usage about 35 rows. When we now select a row which is in the rage of the first 25 records and use the data in such a method:

So yeah ok, for testing purposes we changed the rangeSize to 1, just to see what happens. And again it fetches one row after another as long is the tables current view is full. And if we try it again every record results in a NPE excpet the very last visible record. So far so good, after what we've seen with 25 records this was expected.
When we change the rangeSize to a value greater than 36 (the visible rows, in that current fullscreen resolution) it works as it should.
So, to see if there is a bug i decided to create a small testapp with the HR schema. I've just dropped the employees vo as a table inside a panel collection which is nested inside a panle stretch layout. And used nearly the same method:

When the rangeSize is changed to a value greater 1 it works like a charm. You can run that code with every visible record an you get now NPE. Also very strange with a rangeSize = 1, when you select the last visible record which is working and run the code, then select a record above, which had thrown an NPE previously and run the code. It is working, but with the value of the last visible record.
This leads us to a bunch of questions.
1) Is it the supposed way to work, that you get a NPE when the rangeSize is set to a smaller number than visible rows?
2) If 1) is the desired way, how do you handle the rangeSize for a table which is stretched? You couldn't now how many rows you could see.
3) Does anyone have an idea how to explain the last explained behaviour with the testapp? (I could upload it)

can you open a SR at Oracle support for this issue?
I know there are several bugs which are somehow related with the rangeSize and the synchronization of the model (currrent row) and the view (in this case the visible part of af:table).

As far I know Oracle plans some enhancements in this area to fix the syncronize problems and change e.g. the rangeSize dynamically depending on the number of rows visible in the GUI.
But anyway your issue sounds like a new bug.
