Strange color setting not saving correct color

I am completely baffled why this is happening. I make a simple photoshop document with the color #OF457C and do a 'save for web' and save it as a jpeg at 100%. I then open it back up from my desktop and the color has darkened and changed the hex value to #10447D. Its darker and not the correct color for my background.
Try it for yourself. Is it a color profile thing? I am using CS4 but have noticed this happening on CS3 on another computer. Does the 'save for web' pick an alternative color? I've never seen a color shift like this before.

I believe save for web uses sRGB, so if you are working in sometihng else, the conversion could cause a color shift.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client. There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes. The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this. I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

I did some more digging and I solved it.
This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
-Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
-Click on the USERS container
-Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
-Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION should both be checked for
ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.

Hyperlinks not saved correctly in PDF and Excel

Hi,
I have a few reports with hyperlinks to other reports that contain multiple input parameters, which makes the links very long. ( greater than 400 characters )
When the reports are saved as excel, I am unable to invoke the child report on clicking the link as the link is not saved entirely ( can see that when i try to edit the hyperlink in excel ). Therefore the child report opens but prompts for inputs as not all the inputs are passed
When saved as pdf, the link is not saved correctly and i cannot invoke the child report at all
Please can you suggest a solution/workaround? Alternately is it possible to disable the hyperlinks when saved as excel/pdf?

I think this is a limitation in Excel where URL syntax has to be 255 characters or less
In order to prove that it's coming from excel and not BO, try in excel to create a false hyperlink which contains more than 255 characters.
A workaround might be to modify the cell as text and will not be recognized as a URL. So you should get it entirely.

I have a client who is getting the above error when attempting to change delegate permissions in Outlook 2010.
She is also getting this error when she tries to remove a delegate.
I have tried recreating her mail profile.
I have also tried kb2593557. The auto fix didn't work at all and the registry fix only removes the error message and not the problem. This client would like to be able to edit her delegate permissions.
She is on Exchange 2010
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Settings not saved correctly

Saving that always a file should be opened with a program does not work correct.
I want *.nzb to be opened with a certain program. I save this combination and still everytime I get the option of an other programm.

Volume setting not saved

My volume settings are not saved when I power-cycle or reset my iMac. I have tried resetting the PRAM, with no effect. In another thread, someone asked me whether my PRAM battery might be getting old; the answer is, probably not, this computer was new as of this January.
One thing that's a little different from my other/previous Macs is that I have a Solid-State Disk (SSD) as startup disk and a standard Hard Drive (HD) for data storage. As recommended by various threads on the subject, to optimize performance while minimizing wear on the SSD, the /Users/xxx directory is on the SSD, but various sub-directories (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, ...) are on the HD. I've noticed that this leads to various odd perturbations (e.g. icons in the Finder sidebar only update when I click on them, can't launch a Parallels virtual machine by double-clicking its icon, ...), but I really don't see how it would be related to my volume settings.
Here's the machine configuration:
iMac (iMac11,3) 27" / 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 / 16 GB RAM / 251 GB SSD / 2 TB HD
Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K540)
Boot ROM version: IM112.0057.B00

Thanks for the suggestion. The Library folder is on the SSD, and I don't think the Public folder really has anything to do with this. But I did try moving the Desktop folder back to the SSD; the only thing that changed is that the Desktop icon in the Finder window sidebar is drawn correctly. The volume setting behavior is not changed.
I noticed something else, though: when I increase the volume and restart, the reboot chime is louder. This implies that my volume setting is correctly saved to PRAM, but then something else - during the start-up - cranks it back down. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to track this sort of thing?

Double-Click Setting not saved

Help! On my brand-new MBP 13" the double-click speed is not saved with "Keyboard & Mouse" preferences.
Everytime I log in the double-click speed rate is set to "slow" and as a result many mouse-clicks are considered as "double" without intended to be. After correcting the setting everything works fine ... until the next log-out / log-in.
I already trashed the preference file without success.
Any suggestions? This behaviour is really annoying ...

Interaction Centre: Survey not saved correctly

We are using SAP CRM 5.0 Interaction Centre. While creating a customer feedback transaction with survey in Interaction Centre, following is the observation:
1. We open the customer feedback transaction, enter the mandate information in the details tab and save the transaction.
2. Then navigate to questionaire tab and fill-in the survey questions and save the survey.
3. Navigate back to details tab and save the transaction. The survey and the transaction are saved correctly. Instead, without navigating back to details tab, when we try to save the transaction from the questionaire tab, neither the survey nor the transaction is saved.
Recently the application was upgraded from SP15 to SP16.
Please provide your inputs in solving this issue.

Thanks for taking your time to answer my issue.
Actually we have two issue in this
1.When users press the End button, ideally, the current screens should be closed and default screen of Accoutn Identification should be shown.
This does not happen.
Actually, nothing happens when users press the End button.
Users cannot click on anything else too and the screen seems to be frozen.
Users have to close the IC session and relogin.
2.And one more issue is when user ends call by click on end button it goes to account identification but Name of the account still be there on top left top side where it shown account name. but it allows agent to take another call and create service ticket.
Please note that we are using CTI( Avaya phone)
Now since these two are an intermittent issues, i do not have reproduction steps.

Desktop setting not saving after system update

I did a system wide update including the changing the kernel from 2.6.25 to 2.6.28 and now I cannot change my desktop setting.
that is, my desktop background picture and font size is not saving. First I could not shutdown and i read the forum where
it was suggested to downgrade from hal-0.5.11-7 to hal-0.5.11-4. and that work for me. but my system
not saving my desktop setting. I have the "automatically save session on logout" check.
I am using xfce4 as my DM

check your home folder permissions. open up your /home/ right click on your username folder click properties and in permissions dialog check that owner can view/edit files and then check something like apply to all subfolders and files

Text layers not saved correctly as PDF from PS?

I frequently save layouts I do in Photoshop as PDF's. Lately I very often will discover the text does not display correctly in the PDF. One or two lines of text will display as white with a thin black outline, rather than as the basic solid black I'd specified.
I work on a Windows 7 machine with the current version of PS. The text is on layers when I save the file to PDF (from PS), but I do not include the layers in the PDF, so they should be flattening down.
Any ideas why this happens? I noticed a few weeks ago when it was also doing this that I updated the program a day later and the PDF's were not exhibiting this issue. But, now it's starting again. A big timewaster for me.

Text doesn't flatten until you tell it to. In fact that may be the problem here - you are telling the PDF maker to not retain vector text and when it tries to flatten, some layer style or something else gets in the way. Try to play with the PDF options. also manaulyl flatten the document in PS before saving to PDF...

File- XI- IDoc: Idoc header data not saved correctly

Hi guys!
I have a very strange problem:
I have a file to xi to IDoc scenario. Everything seems to be fine, IDoc is created in target system, but with strange error: <MESCOD>XX</MESCOD> segment is not written in IDoc header segment. This segment is available in message sent to ECC (after mapping), so there is no problem with ommiting the segment in mapping. But it's not saved.
This scenario worx fine in QA, but not in PRO.
Any ideas, what to look at?

check the IDoc which was in PROD. and see the ibound status and actual reason .
depending upon the actual status you can resolve the issue.

When i receive configuration setting for web beowsing on my mobile from my service provider.I get a message " trusted server setting received but not saved.message could not be authenticated and deleted."So i am unable to browse the web.Please help me .

You seem to have deleted the settings message from your service provider. Contact them and ask them to send it again. This time after you receive it you need to save it and it should auto install. Also sometimes there is a password to save it. If there is, the service provider usually sends you a separate message with with it.

Contact picture not saved correctly

When I edit or add a picture to a contact it is not saved as edited. I usually get the left lower portion of the edit blown up. Any work arounds or solutions.

Colors not saving correctly when image is saved, how can I fix this?

Hi! I've been a photoshop user for my newish photography business since this past summer. I honestly still have a lot to learn, but thankful my images have always been spot on, until now...you see, I recently discovered that when I open my png or jpeg files (these images were saved in ps cc), the photos appear to be dull and muted. It ls like the vibrance/saturation has been shifted down and yellow tones removed or muted greatly. I even saved some fo these files on a disk and reopened them onto my computer and they still look awful. I did not change any of my settings and to be honest, I don't know which ones are the best to work with since every photog I've asked has told me something different....buuuuut beside the point...nothing has changed. My profile settings are the same and I am confused and rather frustrated. If you know how to fix this issue, please share with me because I am at a loss.
How I edit photos:
Import into lightroom
Edit with preset
Export with preset into PS CC
Do finishing touched
Save as jpeg
Here is a screen shot from my computer. The photo on the right is the saved photo and the left is the photoshop photo. If you can tell, the photo on the left is dull and appears to be very flat. It also does not have the golden undertones that the ps cc photo has, which is what I want...

What color space are you working the images in? The Info panel and the little status box at the lower-left of the editing canvas can be set to show you your current color profile. I set the Info panel to show me the profile myself.
When you do File - Save As to save the JPEG, are you saving the color profile with the JPEG?
Lastly, when you say "the photos appear to be dull and muted", how are you comparing them (specifically)? Are you sure the application you're using to compare them with what you see in Photoshop is color-managed?
I suspect what may be happening is that you're editing your photos using a wide gamut color space, then either saving the JPEG work product without a color profile or viewing it in an application that does not support color-management.
Regarding someone telling you the best settings to use... The thing is, it's not really possible to suggest specific settings without knowing a lot more about your particular working environment. We don't know, for example, whether the printing process you're using will properly interpret the color profile. You should regard with suspicion any advice that suggests "set it and forget it" settings without trying to understand your color-management needs.

Photoshop CS6 - Spot channels are not saved correctly in the psd files.

I'm using Photoshop CS6 and something happent a few days ago....some Windows or Adobe update messed up everything...I don't know...
Here's how things are.
If I add to an image a couple of new spot channels (any Pantone color) and remove the informations from the CMYK channels (or not-the problem it's there anyway), I should have an image with 6 color plates (CMYK and the 2 Pantone). It doesn't happened anymore...
I'm using Corel to print the files and the previous saved files are fine, I have all the Spot colors there. Now, If I edit any file I've worked on before, and save it again, the spot colors dissapear when I'm importing the psd file in my Corel document. And if there is no information on the CMYK channels, I'm getting a blank image...
I hope someone will give me some ideas because I don't know what to do anymore...

Right. It's not reading these new saved files correctly. The old ones are fine.
I forgot to mention one thing. I've got this CS6 as an upgrade and I still have the CS5 one running on the same computer. The CS5 version does the same thing...
Today I tryed again to open a PSD (CS6) with another CS5 version from another computer and came with an error message "Could not complete your request because the specified color book cannot be found". And the file didn't opened....
Who messed up my color book and how can I fix it?
