Strange compile problem

We are experiencing some strange problems with two of our
application's forms. They are rather large and complex, the .fmb files
are about 3,5 to 4.0 Mb.
Both forms rely on objects from .plls and one other form containing
common elements used in other forms.
Both forms have trouble compiling. The first one (4 megs .fmb and 900K
.fmx) loses about 1 megabyte when saved, and does not work. It takes
the browser with it. Almost 100% of the time the erroneous saving can
be fixed by adding a message() in a function run halfway through the
registration process. The form then "regains" it's correct size, and
works normally.
The other form is 3,5 megs, but the .fmx is only some 300K. This has
suddenly stopped compiling at all. It was fine until recently, but now
it saves wrong all the time, and more often than not pressing the save
button in Form Builder makes it crash without saving, of course
without error messages. This ususally happens if we try to save the
form after compiling it.
The only complaint from Forms Builder throughout this process, is when
opening the "common" form it warns that some d2kwhelp library will be
missed. I cannot find it, and as I understand it relates to some
winhelp stuff - we don't use any winhelp so I figure this should not
be a problem.
The errors evident in the forms when they are run are "no data found"
or thereabouts, or frm-92100 "your connection was interrupted". The
first form also contains the logon form, and will often just not show
up in the browser at all.
Any thoughts?
(I also posted this message on USENET)

Forms fmb files balloon in size when they are compiled because Oracle stores compiled code inside the fmb. Since some parts of your form are not compiling, when you save it, the code that is not generated correctly is left out, so your fmb file changes in size.
We always save our fmb files in their uncompiled state. To do this, just before saving, and AFTER compiling, do a Program, Find and Replace, and change all ; to ; and then save without compiling again.
The change marks all program units as uncompiled, and the fmb shrinks in size. In fact, there were some problems we encountered with PLL libraries and calling stored procedures that were cleared up once we started saving the fmb's that way. ...it might help with your trouble.

  • Itermitent compilation problem possible resolution

    Hi all,
I've seen a lot of posts concerning intermittent compilation problems that my team has also encountered.
It seems that it is caused by undefined handle on the os temp folder (which used by workhop by default).
There a solution that seems to work (at least for us) which consists to change the java.io.tmpdir System Property path in order to make it point to a folder dedicated to workshop. (For exemple c:\workshopTempFolder)
This property can be added in the command line (with the -D option) in the Workshop.cfg file.
    Hope this helps.

I was very excited to see your post. I tried what you suggested, but unfortunately (for me) the same thing happened.
I added the following to the Workshop.cfg file...
    -Djava.io.tmpdir="C:\devtools\bea\weblogic812\workshop\temp"
This directory did not exist before, so I know that no other processes could have had the directory open.
When I started Workshop, it created the directory and added the javelin-jar-store folder. However, when I tried to build, the build failed immediately with an error message saying "make sure your temp directory has write permissions." I thought this was strange since Workshop had just created that directory.
I shut down Workshop, reloaded it, and tried the build again. This time, Workshop actually performed the build but still failed at the end with the following...
Error: Could not delete all files in C:\devtools\bea\weblogic812\workshop\temp\javelin-path-cache-1.
    BUILD FAILED
ERROR: Build failed with 1 error(s).

  • Strange wifi problem on a brand-new MacBook Pro

Hey there, I'm new here. Desperation has got the better of me, and I hope I can get some advice.
So, last sunday I bought a brand new 13" MacBookPro with 2.8g i7 processor and 10.7.2 OS (I can't update to 10.7.4 because System Update tells me the download has been tampered with or corrupted after I waited 2 hours for it to finish, but I'm trying a direct download from the website). Here's the exact product: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MD314LL-13-3-Inch-VERSION/dp/B005CWIZ4O/ref= sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1340301247&sr=8-5&keywords=macbook+pro+13
Everything is all perfect except for a strange wifi problem. Note that the wifi does not turn-on or off, it doesn't disconnect after 'sleep', it doesn't get less speed, it doesn't constantly leave a preferred connection (once I chose my home wifi it always connects to it no problem). The wifi bar is always full. What is wrong is that the internet is kinda 'glitchy'. The best metaphor I can think of is that it's like a car that has to be pushed down the road before the engine can start. Please, bear with me because this is kinda hard to explain and I'm not good at tech lingos.
One of the symptoms is browsing can get really slow and inconsistent, almost as if the wifi gets turned off in the middle of browsing. For example: if I look something up on Google and then open 5 new tabs, probably only 2 or 3 of those tabs will eventually load while the other two will not get past the long 'http:.......google.....etc etc' address and will eventually show one of those 'error loading page because there's no Internet connection' notice. This happens a lot. Sometimes I have to refresh/retry loading a page a couple of times before it finally loads, then usually everything will get back to normal and I will be able to open multiple tabs with no problem, but in a couple of minutes I would try to open another site and the problem will start again.
So I tried to see how it does with downloading using iGetter. Fortunately I also have a Macbook (white-plastic casing one) and my brother has an old 2006 MacbookPro so I can compare. With those two older Apples iGetter starts receiving data in less than 8 seconds after I click Start, while my brand-new Macbook Pro can take up to 15-20 seconds, sometimes it doesn't even start at all and I have to re-click the start button. But once the download actually starts (on my new MacBook Pro), it downloads like normal, it doesn't stop and the speed is also as good as I can get. Strange huh? Hence, like a car that has to be pushed before the engine starts.
I also tried 'speed testing' from a website with all 3 laptops. On my old MacBook and my brother's MacBook pro, once I click 'begin test' it takes only a couple of seconds of 'ping' before the download/upload speed measurements start, but with my new MacBook Pro (just like with iGetter) it takes up to almost a minute before the measurements start, sometimes it won't start at all and I have to re-start the test.
Well, thanks for reading. And hope you can help me shed some light into this. Because it is really preventing me from really enjoying my new MacBook Pro. And if this is most likely a hardware problem, I'd better get back to the store and try to get it replace or something while it's only been 5 days. *cheers*

Hey guys.. Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, I bought the MacBook in Indonesia where there are no such thing as an AppleCare. The only option is to leave the Apple product to one of the 'Authorized Apple care centre' and have whoever do whatever to it without guarantee of success. As for returning it and getting a brand new one, I also don't know if there is such a deal here, but that's actually a good idea, will try to go to the store tomorrow. Although, I'm worried that the problem might be with OSX Lion or something and getting a new one won't help.
mark75090, I've tried resetting the router when I first noticed te problem, didn't work though. I've checked my new MacBook's wi-fi (option+click wifi bar) and it says 'PHY Mode: 802.11g', so does my MacBook and the old MacBook Pro. I don't know what those mean though, and I don't know whether or not my router is an N., can you tell me more please.. I have tried with the other two turned off, and only the new MacBook using the wi-fi but the problem persists. I have also tried connecting directly to the router, but as I described, the problem is too subtle for me to notice the difference.
Also, if I create a brand new Wi-Fi connection in network preferences and connect to my router through the new Wi-Fi profile, the problem seems to be gone for an hour or so, then it always comes back though. I have also just finally installed 10.7.4, but it doesn't help either.

  • Re: [iPlanet-JATO] sp3 jsp compiler problem

    Weiguo,
First, Matt is correct, the regular expression tool is perfect for general text
substitution situations, and as a completely independent tool its use is not
restricted to migration situations (or file types for that matter).
Second, I sympathize with the unfortunate trouble you are experiencing due to
Jasper's (perhaps more strict) compilation, but in what way did the iMT
automated translation contribute to these inconsistencies that you cited?
    1. Changed the case of the tag attribute to be the same as what's
    defined in tld.
    example: changed OnClick to onClick
The iMT does not generate any OnClick or onClick clauses per se. In a
translation situation, the only way "OnClick" would have been introduced was if
it had been part of the pre-existing project's "extraHTML" (which was written
by the original customer and just passed through unchanged by the iMT) or if it
was added manually by the post-migration developer.
    2. Removed attributes which are not defined in tld.
example: escape attribute only defined in three tags
but in some pages, it's used although it's not defined as an
    attribute
of certain tags. The jasper compiler doesn't like it.Can you give soem examples? Is there a definite pattern? Again, this might be
similar to the OnClick situation described above?
    3. In an end tag, there can't be any space.
    example: </content > doesn't work. </content> works.
Again, the content tag would never have been generated by the iMT. There was no
equivalent in the NetDynamics world, so any content tags in your code must have
been introduced by your developers manually. Its a shame that jasper is so
particular, but the iMT could not help you out here even if we wanted to. The
constants that are used by the iMT are defined in
com.iplanet.moko.jsp.convert.JspConversionConstants. From what I can see, the
only situation of a closing tag with any space in it is
    public static final String CLOSE_EMPTY_ELEMENT = " />";
But that should not cause the type of problem you are referring to.

    Matt/Mike/Todd,
We are trying to migrate to sp3 right now, but have had a lot of
issues with the new jasper compiler.
The following workaround has been employed to solve the issues:
    1. Changed the case of the tag attribute to be the same as what's
    defined in tld.
    example: changed OnClick to onClick
    2. Removed attributes which are not defined in tld.

    3. In an end tag, there can't be any space.
    example: </content > doesn't work. </content> works.
As I see it, we have two options to go about solving this problem:
    1. Write a script which will iterate through all the jsp files and
call jspc on them. Fix the errors manually when jspc fails. Jspc will
flag the line number where an error occurs.
    2. Write a utility which scans the jsp files and fix the errors when
they are encountered. We should define what's an error and how to
correct it. It's best if we combine this with solution 1 since we
    might miss an error condition.
Actually, there might be another option, which is seeking help from
you guys since you have better understanding of JATO and iAS. Can you
    do anything to help us?
We would be happy to hear your thoughts.
At last, I would like to suggest modifying the moko tool so that
these rules are enforced and the generated JSPs work with the new
compiler. This is for the benefit of any new migration projects.
    Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot Matt and Mike for your prompt replies.
I agree completely that iMT doesn't introduce the inconsistencies.
About the three cases I mentioned, the third one happens only in
manually created JSPs. So it has nothing to do with iMT. The first
two are mainly due to the existing HTML code, as you rightly pointed
    out.
The reason I made the suggestion is since we know that case 1 and 2
won't pass the japser compiler in sp3, we have to do something about
it. The best place to do this, in my mind, is iMT. Of course, there
might be some twists that make it impossible or difficult to do this
kind of case manipulation or attribute discard.

  • Very Strange Internet Problems

I own a MacBook Pro 15.4 Inch that I purchased about a year and a half ago. I recently upgraded to Leopard and have all the latest updates. I am from the US, and when I am home my internet works fine. However, I am on travel to Seoul, South Korea right now and am having a very strange internet problem.
As far as I can tell, the URLs that I type in to my browser are, sparodially, not translated correctly into the webpages that they are supposed to represent. This problem is probably effective 75% of the time, and the rest of the time my internet works roughly correctly. For instance, when I enter http://www.google.com, instead of being taken to the Google homepage, I am taking to the homepage of Jammin Beats DJ Service, an obscure website about a company in northern Pennsylvania. The actual URL of this website is http://www.jamminbeats.com, but when my internet is malfunctioning, 'jamminbeats' is for all intensive purposes replaced by 'google' (that is, it applies not only to the main page, but to sub pages, so "http://www.google.com/weddings" takes you to "http://www.jamminbeats.com/weddings" and etc). For most other webpages, one of two things happens. Either I am taken to the correct page but it is displayed without any images or frames (just the html text and links), or I am taken to a blank page with the header "Under Construction", which I assume is the default for a page that doesn't exist. This is why it seems as though the URLs are simply being interpretted erroneously.
This problem occurs when connecting both to the wireless and the wired internet at my hotel, and it occurs on both Safari and Firefox, so it is not a connection-specific or browser-specific problem. It may be a problem with the hotel's internet, and as of yet I have not had a chance to test the computer at another location. However, a colleague using an IBM computer has had no problems, and I am currently on a Samsung machine in the business center of the hotel and it is working correctly as well. I have searched extensively online for a similar problem but have come up empty handed, and more than anything, I am confused about what might be causing this problem. The strangest thing is that a fraction of the time, the internet functions normally, but it is usually roughly 15 minutes out of every hour, and eventually I am inevitably taken back to Jammin Beats.
I am a computer science graduate but I still have no idea what would cause this problem. At first I thought it might be a hacker, but if it is, he or she has been at it consistently for 3 days now, and only seems to be targeting my computer. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated, as I have been forced to resort to the hotel's business center for checking email, doing work, etc. Thanks in advance.

I did consider that, as I was in Beijing last week and there are a number of censored sites. However, in Korea I have had problems with very basic sites like facebook, wall street journal, google, yahoo, Korean google, my hotel's webpage, etc. Further, I have successfully gotten all of these sites to load seemingly at random, and can access them without problems on other computers. The only disconnect seems to be between my MBP and the internet, not between Korean internet and the web. I have toyed around with the network settings, and although sometimes after switching from "Automatic" to a fixed connection I get some sites to work, it usually only lasts a short time and eventually the same sites stop working. I reset my cache regularly to make sure I'm not getting sent to cached sites, but this also doesn't help. Further, my Apple Mail, Skype and AIM accounts jump between being connected and disconnected randomly as well. Again, this is isolated to my own computer, which is why I'm so confused.

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.

You need to make sure the source is for the same version i.e. if you run apache 2.0.52 you need the source of 2.0.52. I successfully ran mixed installs, but I would not recommend it. You can download the required source from Apache.
As for your compiler problem, make sure you have /usr/ccs/bin/ in the your path, if you do not have it installed you will have to add the pkg SUNWsprot. You do not have 'make' in yout path.
Make sure you have the following packages installed:
    SUNWbtool, SUNWsprot, SUNWtoo
    SUNWhea, SUNWarc, SUNWlibm, SUNWlibms
    SUNWdfbh, SUNWcg6h, SUNWxwinc, SUNWolinc,

  • Pro*Cobol PCO Compilation problem in Linux

    Hi,
DB :oracle 11g on RHEL 5.5
when we are compiling the (Pro*cobol ) PCO code it is giving us the error :
System default option values taken from: /oracle/oracle11g/app/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/precomp/admin/pcbcfg.cfg
Error at line 320, column 35 in file BR2385.PCO
    WHERE A.SOC_NO = :PARAM-SOC
    ..................................1
    PCB-S-00223, Undeclared variable "PARAM-SOC".
when we change the pcbcfg.cfg file with flag : declare_section=no it's compile without error.
But in this scenario cobol app doesn't run.
if we declare the undeclared variable in the section
EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION END-EXEC.
    PARAM-SOC PIC X(25).
EXEC SQL END DECLARE SECTION END-EXEC.
and compile it with declare_section=yes then cobol app. run fine.
Are different files generated (cob, int, gnt) after compilation with the option declare_section=no and declare_section=yes.
Pls help us in this regards. we have lot of file which having these issue and we don't want to do manual changes "EXEC SQL BEGIN" in it.
    Thanks in advance..

Your code is faulty and has to be fixed.
No compilation problem is present, the compiler correctly barfs.

  • Occi::Number compilation problem in Linux

    Hi,
I got following error when I complile my application which uses OCCI (Oracle C++ Call Interface) shiped with Oracle 9.2. I added the compiler flag -Dlint .
When I dont add the compiler flag I dont get following error. My machine is running RedHat linux 7.3

    In file included from /opt/ora9/product/9.2/rdbms/demo/occi.h:40,
    from ../include/DatabaseSupport.h:17,
    from myapp.cpp:4:

    declared in `oracle::occi::Number'
    /opt/ora9/product/9.2/rdbms/demo/occiData.h:408: `oracle::occi::Number::operator char () const' has

If I dont compile my application with -Dlint compiler flag I cant run the application.
I think this is a bug in occi::Number class
    Any solusion??

  • Before Update Trigger compilation problem

Hello experts! I have a compilation problem for a trigger I am trying to create.
As a matter of fact it should update INT_INITIAL with the old value of INT_LOCK.
The compilation fails and the debugger raises an ORA 01747 error (invalid declaration for user table, user column etc.)
Do you have an idea what is wrong with my code?
    create or replace
    TRIGGER TRIGGER_INT_INITIAL
    BEFORE UPDATE ON  TBL_MATRIX_INTERMEDIATE_RESULT
    FOR EACH ROW
    Begin
      IF NVL(:new.INT_INITIAL, 0) != :old.INT_LOCK THEN
           UPDATE TBL_MATRIX_INTERMEDIATE_RESULT set
          :NEW.INT_INITIAL = :old.INT_LOCK;
      END IF;
    END;Regards,
    Seb

    Hi Seb,
You don't need to use UPDATE stmt here as you are updating the same table on which your trigger is fired. So it may cause mutating table error too.
when you use :new.colname it will immediately take care of the new value to be inserted in the respective column.
So no need to write Update stmt.
    Hence remove,
UPDATE TBL_MATRIX_INTERMEDIATE_RESULT set And use := is an assignment operator whereas = is to equate..

  • Compiling problem in oracle 11g environment

    Hello mates,
We have recently migrated from oracle10g to oracle11g. we have lot of pro*c and forms programs.
my requirement is to compile all those pro*c and form programs in 11g.
for compiling pro*c programs we have compilation scripts. these compilation scripts are prepared
based on oracle10g. pro*c programs are compiling fine by using this compilation scripts.
after migrated to 11g, ihave used same 10g compilation scripts to compile pro*c programs.
1.while compiling the programs first time, i got these errors
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/lib32/libsql10.a: No such file or directory
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/rdbms/lib32/kpudfo.o: No such file or directory
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/lib32/libpls10.a: No such file or directory
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/lib32/libpls10.a: No such file or directory
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/lib32/libpls10.a: No such file or directory
so i have replace all libsql10.a,libpls10.a,libpls10.a,libpls10.a to libsql11.a,libpls11.a,libpls11.a,libpls11.a
2.then these errors got resolved but second time compilation it shown below error.
/oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/rdbms/lib/kpudfo.o: No such file or directory
so i have removed kpudfo.o file from compilation script.
    3. i have compiled third time then it shown diffrent error as shown below
ld: fatal: library -lnapt: not found
ld: fatal: file /oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/lib/libclntsh.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
ld: fatal: file /oracle/app/product/11.2.0.3_cli/rdbms/lib/cdf.o: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to ./ebsparam
    i have changed script
    "/usr/local/bin/gcc -m32 -g -DSOLARIS -DSOLARIS2 -I$HOME/include"
    to
    "/usr/local/bin/gcc -m64 -g -DSOLARIS -DSOLARIS2 -I$HOME/include"
    4. then i have compiled again then it shown error as below
ld: fatal: file /usr18/SIR02551/mydomain/BD/obj/ebsparam.o: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to ./ebsparam
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
because of 32 bit problem i have changed script to 32 to 64. but now it is showing this error
what is the problem i am not able to understand.
    please help on this
    Thanks

  • RE: RE : Compile problems

    Doug,
I also had a very similar error. At first I thought it might have been
similar to the technote 38525, but in the end I force compiled the workspace
and re made the distribution and the fcompile worked like normal. So if you
don't think the technote matches your situation then I recommend force
    compiling your workspace.

    Doug,
Your method is probably returning a data type that the codegenerator
    is misinterpreting.
It could be related to a documented problem where a return statement
returning an unsigned long( or a few other type ) value generates a
GENERICRETURN instruction, which codegen erroneously believed
    to have no
    operands, causing decompilation errors.
    Take a look at Bug # 38525.
The suggested work around is not to return unsigned long( or a few other
    data types ).

    Subject: Compile problems
Has anyone ever seen this error when using fcompile to compile their
partitions?? The create/compile of the workspace & the
    partitioning of the
application all went fine. It seems to indicate there may be a
    problem with
the fetchEncounterWithItsClaim method. What's the IRBlock ?? Any
    help would
    be greatly appreciated!!

    Allister,
That's the only thing(force compile) I could think of to try, so I did & re
