Strange Data in KF

We are working on SCM5.0.  We are facing a strange problem.  Once in a while,( Happend twice in last 6 months) One of the DP- KF values get strange No.s for few months  in a year and correct No.s rest of the periods.  This KF get calcualted by a macro.  We executed this macro last month and data looks OK, now today we are checking the data, and for few months the calculated No's are correct and for few months its wrong. I am pretty much sure, this is a LC issue, but as Basis cannot see any error, they could not able to provide any solution.  We run the LC consistency check every day.   Any help is appreciated.
thx
Jeff

Bala,
Thx, we just add X + Y = Z.  in a macro for future 24 months.  We ran this macro last month, the NO's look correct.  We just checked this week, the No's are wrong for few months and correct for few months. We extract the data to BW and i checked the data there, and the No's are correct. We saw this behavriour long time back.  We think its some thing related to LC.  Let me know, your thoughts.
thx

  • Shared photo stream wrong / strange date

    When adding photo's to a shared photo stream sometimes strange dates appear.
    The problem happens with scanned negatives. In my libarary I sort all photo's on date, so I have changed the date of all these scanned negatives and applied them to the originals.
    The photo's in my normal libary show the correct date and time, however when I put the photo's in the shared photo stream it all of a sudden changes to a different date...???
    It might well be the scanned date that the negatives were actually scanned, but this orignial date is nowhere to be found in the metadata.
    I have done some testing and it also does not matter what the actual creation, modification, and last opened date of the file is.
    Anybody any idea where this original date is residing in the file, how can I change it, and why is the shared photostream taking this date instead of dates in the aperture library.
    Thanks !!

    The dates can be seen in the List View.
    How ever in the project from where I shared the photo the date is correct:
    These photo's are shot on film, yes good old film (as in the once you had to bring the a specialist to be developed and then printed). These negatives were scanned to jpg's and the jpg's imported in Aperture.
    In Aperture I then painstakingly gave the right dates and approximate time, to be in the right order. (At this event at the same time there was somebody with a digital cam, so they are in the same project mixed with the scannes)
    When adjusting the time, I also wrote the changes to the original file. However, somewhere Aperture remembers this date the pcitures were created eventhough the original file does not contain this date anymore (as far as I tell).
    Since the photostream also uses the date for ordering the whole order is mixed-up...

  • Strange Date Format: April 16, R.O.C. 98 23:11:44 MESZ

    Hello,
    my Snow Leopard Mail.app suddenly shows me a strange date format:
    April 16, R.O.C. 98 23:11:44 MESZ
    (also see http://de.tinypic.com/r/153pjpz/3)
    My question would be, what does R.O.C. 98 mean and how can I get rid of it?
    Thank you very much!

  • Strange data inserted into table via table trigger

    Hi ,
    There is some strange phenomenon happen occasionally where some tables update records will have a TRIGGER to insert records into a table and once in a while, the record has some strange data inserted which looks like a memory corruption. It is running on 10.2.0.3.
    Does anyone ever encounter this before?
    Strange result:
    PRIM_KEY
    -3.614364951000000000000000000000000E-47
    -3.614364951000000000000000000000000E-47
    Normal result:
    PRIM_KEY
    1137KT
    1137KT
    ana

    Hi,
    What is strange in this? Its not memory corruption. Its just one of the numeric form of representation of number
    -3.614364951000000000000000000000000E-47it means -3.614364951 * 10 to the power of -47.
    Whatever value has been entered into the table depends on your business logic you coded, and user input.

  • Strange data saved by write to measurment file

    Hi all,
    I have developed a simple program that permits to visualize data from a channel, but it records data, just when the saving data button is pressed. Data are saved through write to measurment file, but unfortunately there is something wrong since the saved data is strange. In the attachment there are the VI file and the saved data.
    As you can see there are several header and dates are strange (i.e. the saving date is 23/12/1916) and I get much more sample than I should have. Why do I get this?
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    I generally use a connection string like below for Azure SQL DB. If you try it out, do you have any success?
    Server=tcp:servername.database.windows.net,1433;Database=database;User ID=user@servername;Password=<Password>;Trusted_Connection=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;
    If that doesn't work for you, I can try to help dig deeper to see if it is on the Azure SQL DB side.

  • Strange Date problem in Web Dynpro

    Hi
    I'm facing a strange problem. I have an input field and have associated it to an attribute of type 'date'. when I click on the date picker ane choose the date, say, for example, if I choose 12/29/2005, it is correctly displayed as <b>12/29/2005</b> in the input field.
    But when I print the value using wdcontext.currentcontextelement().getDate();,
    the date is displayed as <b>12/28/2005.</b>
    What could be wrong?? Please help.
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
    the problem is, may you are spliting the date and then displaying.
    Because if you display
    wdContext.currentContextElement().getDate();
    It returns a date in format yyyy-mm-dd (java.sql.Date format) then you need to format the date to make it display as per your format.
    Now if you see the function getMonth() for java.sql.Date, it returns month-1 for the month (i.e. 0 for jan 1 for feb etc.).
    Also it returns year=current year -1900, so for 2006 you will find value getYear()=106.
    Check the values accordingly and then format the date for display.
    Hope that will work for you.

  • Strange Date Format

    My iMac is running 10.5.8, and the date formats are very strange for documents. For example,
    Wed FriJan 625,320102005, 8:28AM
    I have 2 emails address

    run the following terminal command and log out/in
    rm ~/library/preferences/.Global*

  • Strange date format in iPhoto

    When I migrated to Maverick, the date format for all my pictures went batty. For example, the date will show as 43-6-569 or 85-65-741. I tried adjusting the date manually but it doesn't solve the problem. I thought migrating to Yosemite would fix this but the issue has actually spread to itunes. Now the "Date added" column for all the songs also shows this strange format.
    Has anybody seen this issue? Is there a fix?
    Thanks.

    I have it on automatic date setting, using a 24-hour clock. The date format in the Language and Region tab is the typical dd/mm/yy. I double checked every other settings. But I don't think it's a problem with the System Preferences as the date in the manu bar is correct, as is for every other application. The issue is only with iphote and now iTunes.

  • Strange Date format in SM21 log in ERP 2005 system

    Hi,
    We have upgraded to ERP 2005 from 4.6C. In the system log (SM21), when I look, the date format (yyyy/mm/dd) the year is showing as some strange number 0112 . Not sure if it is a bug or has some fix.
    I had installed a new ERP 2005 system in which I have the same problem.
    Has anyone encountered the same problem?
    Both are in HP-UX and MSSQL.

  • Plz. help with strange date insertions in access???

    HELLO all,
    i noted a strange thing, when i insert into access table the date it swaps the month and day part for some reason in some records .
    why is this happening,
    plz. help.
    code is as follows
    Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
                                            cal.add(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH,-1);
                                            System.out.println(""+cal.getTime());
              //this swaps                         SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy")
    //this swaps too
         //SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy");
                                            String currentdate = dateFormat.format(cal.getTime()); // formats your date
    custom date is dd/mm/yyyy in table

    Hi vykalra1,
    As far as I know, the way dates (and times) are stored in a Micro$oft Access database has nothing to do with the display format. The format is only used for displaying the date that is stored in the Access table.
    A "field" with "Date/Time" datatype in an Access table maps to the "java.sql.Timestamp" class. Therefore, in order to insert a value into a "Date/Time" (Access) "field", you need to create a "java.sql.Timestamp" object. According to the javadoc, the "java.sql.Timestamp" constructor takes a parameter of type "long" (i.e. java primitive type) -- which represents the number of milliseconds since midnight, 1st January, 1970.
    Therefore, you don't really need to use "Calendar" or "SimpleDateFormat".
    As I understand it, you are trying to insert yesterday's date into your table. Below is an example using a sample table that has two fields -- 'name' and 'updated' -- which (hopefully) will help you. Note how I determine yesterday's date -- using millisecond calculations only.
    The below code was compiled and tested on Windows XP with J2SE SDK 1.4.1_02 and Micro$oft Access 2002.
    import java.sql.*;
    public class JdbcOdbc {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        Connection dbConn = null;
        PreparedStatement stmt = null;
        String sql = "INSERT INTO Table1 (name, updated) VALUES (?, ?)";
        try {
          Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
          dbConn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:db1");
          stmt = dbConn.prepareStatement(sql);
          stmt.setString(1,"vykalra1");
          long now = System.currentTimeMillis();
          long millisecondsInOneDay = 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24;
          long yesterday = now - millisecondsInOneDay;
          stmt.setTimestamp(2, new Timestamp(yesterday));
          stmt.executeUpdate();
        catch (SQLException sqlEx) {
          System.err.println("Database operation failed.");
          sqlEx.printStackTrace();
        catch (ClassNotFoundException cnfEx) {
          System.err.println("JDBC driver class not found");
          cnfEx.printStackTrace();
        finally {
          if (stmt != null) {
            try {
              stmt.close();
            catch (SQLException sqlEx) {
              System.err.println("ERROR: Failed to close statement");
              sqlEx.printStackTrace();
          if (dbConn != null) {
            try {
              dbConn.close();
            catch (SQLException sqlEx) {
              System.err.println("ERROR: Failed to close DB connection");
              sqlEx.printStackTrace();
    }Good Luck,

  • SaxParser problem. attributes.getValue() returns strange data

    Hello.
    I'm using SaxParser to parse an xml-document.
    After updating to java 1.6 I got weird results when calling attributes.getValue(someString);
    Strangely this happens only when I have a really long string of data in an element.
    Another weird thing is that the values I recieve when calling getValue() is the right number of characters, but they are the wrong characters. Accually the string I get seems to come from somewhere in the data of the element.
    This is what the xml document looks like:
    <world>
    <picture name="Picture" positionX="57.272408" positionY="-0.52022195" positionZ="76.156906"
    rotationX="-0.0037210481" rotationY="0.69323385" rotationZ="0.72069275" rotationW="-0.0038684383"
    width="12.0" height="9.0" imageWidth="512"
    imageHeight="512" >e1fdffe1fdff...(about 1.5 Megabyte of hex data)...fe9fdffe9f</picture>
    </world>When calling attributes.getValue("positionX") for example, I don't get "57.272408" but instead something from the hexdata like "2b9401289" and it's always the same number of characters as the string I'm supposed to get, in this case 9.
    If I decrease the size of the hex data significantly, this error doesn't occur.
    Here's what my code looks like:
        public void load(URL url){
         this.clear();
         SAXParserFactory factory = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
                 try {
                     // Parse the input
                     SAXParser saxParser = factory.newSAXParser();
                     saxParser.parse( url.toString(), this );
                 } catch (ParserConfigurationException ex) {
                     ex.printStackTrace();
                 } catch (IOException ex) {
                     ex.printStackTrace();
                 } catch (SAXException ex) {
                     ex.printStackTrace();
        public void startElement(String namespaceURI,
                                 String sName, // simple name (localName)
                                 String qName, // qualified name
                                 Attributes attrs)
        throws SAXException
            this.attributes = attrs;
            String eName = sName; // element name
            if ("".equals(eName)) eName = qName; // namespaceAware = false
            this.elementName = eName;
            if(elementName.equals("picture")){
                this.stringBuffer = new StringBuffer();
        public void characters(char buf[], int offset, int len)
        throws SAXException
            if(elementName.equals("picture")){
                String string = new String(buf,offset, len);
                stringBuffer.append(string);
        public void endElement(String namespaceURI,
                               String sName, // simple name
                               String qName  // qualified name
        throws SAXException
            String eName = sName; // element name
            if ("".equals(eName)) eName = qName; // namespaceAware = false
            if(eName.equals("picture")){
                System.out.println(this.attributes.getValue("positionX"));
        }

    You should extract the attribute values in the startElement() method, rather than keeping a reference to the Attributes object. The SAX parser probably reuses that object as soon as you return from startElement(), thus making it useless to you.
