Strange Date format in SM21 log in ERP 2005 system

Hi,
We have upgraded to ERP 2005 from 4.6C. In the system log (SM21), when I look, the date format (yyyy/mm/dd) the year is showing as some strange number 0112 . Not sure if it is a bug or has some fix.
I had installed a new ERP 2005 system in which I have the same problem.
Has anyone encountered the same problem?
Both are in HP-UX and MSSQL.
Thanks & Regards,
P. Kumaravel.

  • Strange Date Format: April 16, R.O.C. 98 23:11:44 MESZ

    Hello,
    my Snow Leopard Mail.app suddenly shows me a strange date format:
    April 16, R.O.C. 98 23:11:44 MESZ
    (also see http://de.tinypic.com/r/153pjpz/3)
    My question would be, what does R.O.C. 98 mean and how can I get rid of it?
    Thank you very much!

    Reboot solved it. In these times, you don't even think about something this trivial.

  • IDES and other Clients in one SAP ERP 2005 System

    Hello everybody,
    within a project for my master thesis i have to set up an SAP ERP 2005 System. This system should contain at least three clients. One of them should be the IDES client. Another client should be set up with an existing template. The third client should represent a smal company or at least i should set up some example process from the company (there is no need to map the whole company in the system). These processes should be realized with the SAP standard processes and they should just show how to map easy processes to SAP ERP. Neither the second nor the third client need to run in a productive environment, everything is just for training and testing.
    My main Questions are:
    I've already set up the SAP ERP 2005 System but without IDES. Can I still integrate the IDES Content or do i have to reinstall the whole System with a complete IDES Installation?
    Can I implement the second and third client in the same ERP System (where the IDES client is) or do i need different Systems for it? Even if there is no productive use for the clients we would like to have a Development and a Quality Landscape. Is this possible with the IDES client? Actually I have two fast machines for this purpose - one for quality and one for development.
    I would be very grateful for any hints.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Martin

    Hi,
    You can use SAP IDES as Dev and Quailty.There is no diffrence in full sap or IDES .In IDES we have some pree configure Clients and full Ecc we have three client 000,001 and 066.
    So you can use SAP IDES as DEV.
    Your Question :I've already set up the SAP ERP 2005 System but without IDES. Can I still integrate the IDES Content or do i have to reinstall the whole System with a complete IDES Installation?
    Ans : you install diffrent mechine.We do't use any content.Do reinstall

  • Strange Date Format

    My iMac is running 10.5.8, and the date formats are very strange for documents. For example,
    Wed FriJan 625,320102005, 8:28AM
    I have 2 emails address

    run the following terminal command and log out/in
    rm ~/library/preferences/.Global*

  • Strange date format in iPhoto

    When I migrated to Maverick, the date format for all my pictures went batty. For example, the date will show as 43-6-569 or 85-65-741. I tried adjusting the date manually but it doesn't solve the problem. I thought migrating to Yosemite would fix this but the issue has actually spread to itunes. Now the "Date added" column for all the songs also shows this strange format.
    Has anybody seen this issue? Is there a fix?
    Thanks.

    I have it on automatic date setting, using a 24-hour clock. The date format in the Language and Region tab is the typical dd/mm/yy. I double checked every other settings. But I don't think it's a problem with the System Preferences as the date in the manu bar is correct, as is for every other application. The issue is only with iphote and now iTunes.

  • Strange date format in german locale

    According to /usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE the date format for german locale is defined as follows "2000-06-24", which is not very common in German-speaking countries.Usually date is written as "24.06.2000". Some programs use this "wrong" format.
    Is it save to edit the file mentioned above to achieve this format?

    Actually it isn´t a real problem, because in scripts you can use "date +%d.%m.%g", so I´ll mark this topic as solved.
    I see that you decided against marking it as solved - or you forgot about it :-)
    Which programs are showing the wrong date? They may be using their own date format and your locales are / were fine.

  • Strange date format from XML

    Hi There!
    We have an XML that we read into an XMLtype - and at a time we want to display it in a normal date type....
    Its formatted as this: '2007-02-20T09:30:47.0Z' (Zero 0) - I guess it means no timezone in some ISO 86* standard
    select TO_date('2007-02-20T09:30:47.0Z','YYYY-MM-DD"T"HH24:MI:SS.??????') from dual;
    I have trie to find a format for reading it ... do you have an idea?
    regards
    Mette

    Sorry, forgot to say that some of the dates in the XML field is in this format
    '2007-02-20T09:30:47+100 ...... (yyyy-mm-dd"T"hh:mi:ssstzhtzm)

  • Date format inconsistent in log files

    Hi All,
    I have a cluster spread accross 4 machines(4 different physical boxes).
    In three of the machines, the log format is ,
    <17/1/2010>
    while in the fourth on it is like,
    <Jan 17 >
    We require the log format in the form <17/1/2010>
    Any help or suggestion???
    Thanks.

    Usually, this is due to a localization difference in the JVMs. When WLS boots, the .log file should show you some detailed information about the locale it is using, make sure that is consistent across the machines.

  • Issue with Date format - ABAP to XML

    Dear Users,
    We are currently facing an issue with the date formats in XML.
    We have a system (.Net), which has a webservice that we are calling for information from SAP. We created a Proxy class in SAP from the WSDL file and have attempted to use the method that gets us required information based on the Timestamp passed from SAP. However, the timestamp that the INPUT structure uses has a data element XSDDATETIME_Z.
    All we can send from SAP is a simple TIMESTAMP, but the .Net system doesn't accept it since it wants the timestamp in XML format i.e. <dd-mm-yyyy>T<hh:mm:ss>Z. SAP documentation says that the field should automatically do conversion from ABAP to XML format, but that doesn't happen. We don't want to build a string from Timestamp in the XML format and send it out since we might surely miss out on the different cases involved.
    Can anyone please suggest a way for us to send the date out in the required XML format?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Vijay,
    Look at the below sample code and it works fine, i guess there is something wrong in your code or conversion, post the actual code if you are still not able figure it out with the below example.

  • Date format in different from System Preferences

    The date display in the top right corner of the menu bar is not according to the custom setting I have defined in System Preferences.
    In Language & Region, I defined the date format to be <day of month number> < name of month> <year>.
    The menu bar however displays the date in American style date format of <name of month> <day of months number>.
    Is there any way to have Numbers pick up the date format from Language & Region as defined in System Preferences?

  • Handle Date format in a dynamic way

    Hi Experts,
    I need to handle the date format in a dynamic way in different systems.
    Sample Scenario:
    In my DEV system i am writing a select query where i need to validate the date field which is of the format 12/31/9999.
    select * from <table> where date = '12/31/9999'.
    This gets relevant records & works fine in DEV system.
    But when it goes to QA system the same select query fails to fetch data as the date format is 12.31.9999.
    select * from <table>
    where date = '12/31/9999'. --> Fails
    Similarly when it is PRD system (production) the same select query fails as the date format is 12-31-9999.
    select * from <table>
    where date = '12/31/9999'. --> Fails
    Please post your suggestions.
    Thanks
    Dany

    If you are looking at the date from SE16, or some other output screen, dates are converted to what is referred to as external format. But when they are stored, they are stored in internal format which is always YYYYMMDD. So when you are doing a SELECT from database table using a date field in your WHERE clause, you have to use internal format of the date (YYYYMMDD). When you output a date that you extracted onto a screen using WRITE statement, it will be converted to external format depending on user format specifications. But the date will be in internal format within your program, so if you are transferring a date from the database directly to a file, you are transferring it as YYYYMMDD. If you need it in external format, then you have to use WRITE...TO... option. See help on WRITE command.

  • Check the date format

    Hi,
      Can anybody tell me how to check the date format in BDC while updating.
      The system date format is like mm/dd/yyyy. Check the dates format, in case of error return the following message “The date format should be YYYYMMDD”.
    Thanks......

    Dear Anil,
    This is a common problem, when carrying out BDC.
    For example, while recording you met with the field --> MKPF-BUDAT.
    Go to SE11 --> MKPF --> Search for BUDAT --> Double click on the Data Element i.e. BUDAT --> Double Click on the domain DATUM --> You can see under the block Output Characteristics : Output Length = 10.
    While declaring the TYPES Structure, make it CHAR(10).
    Consider this technique as the Rule-of-Thumb while doing BDC.

    Hi,
    Try to under stand what I am asking :
    <b>What is the domain(or data type) used for the ZZDATE field.</b>
    Ok ,
    If some records are having proper format and others are having wrong format, even we canot correct this with routine also. So in this case you have to edit manually at PSA, then do upload.
    You are right, when we are populating data to ODS , if there is any wrong format of value, it will not disply the error at the time of loading .It will through the error at the time of activation.

  • ALE: setting up reduced IDoc type for use in 4.7 and ERP 2005 problem

    I need to set up a reduced HRMD_A message type and then use it to send HR data from a 4.7 system to an ERP 2005 system.
    To define the reduced type in both systems I use transaction BD53 (Idoc reduction maintenance).
    The problem is that the transaction offers HRMD_A06 as the basic type on a 4.7 system and HRMD_A07 on ERP 2005. Thus i cannot  set up identical definitions.
    I suppose I should  'step back' to A06 at the ERP 2005 system somehow, but where to look for?..
    Thank you in advance!

    The table is maintained with BD69 - Assignment of message type to IDOC type.
    In my case I added one line with values:
    Message type: {my reduced message type}
    Basic type: HRMD_A06
    Extension: {my HRMD_A06 extension}
    Also it looks like there is another (better?) way of making the assignment. It is done with WE82, described in sap help here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/dc/6b7db043d711d1893e0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm and also discussed in this topic.

  • OWB 10gR2 working with SAP Version ERP 2005

    My version of OWB is 10gR2 and the version of SAP that I wish to create ABAP scripts for is ERP 2005. This version of SAP is not available from the configuration drop-down list. Is it possible to create ERP 2005 version ABAP scripts?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response.
    The scripts that I am creating are SAP 4.7 version, but these require manual modifications for the unicodes character set for the ERP 2005 system. Currently I am creating them in version 4.7 and then having to amend them before executing them in SAP.
    Cheers.
