Strange error trying to start MS word

14/09/2012 20:32:23.585 coreservicesd[63]: Someone attempted to start application App:"Microsoft Word" [ 0x0/0x4f04f]  @ 0x0x7fea6d201000 but it still has _kLSApplicationLockedInStoppedStateKey=true, so it is is staying stopped.
Is in the console when I try to run Word!
I've been trying to fix another problem, so I removed NTFS and mobile_fs_util - and this is what's shappening now!

Hi,
Check if using command below makes any difference:
start task for component WorkMon with GroupName='My Notification Group', BatchMode=TRUE
Hope it helps,
Wilson

  • Error Trying to Start iTunes

iTunes was working fine until I installed an update iTunes promted me to install. iTunes has never ran since. Since the update the below error occurs when trying to start iTunes.
The instruction at “0x10001040” referenced memory at “0x10001040”. The memory could not be “read”.
Click OK to terminate the program
Click CANCEL to debug the program
I have uninstalled, rebooted and resinstalled four different times with the same result. I also tried to save the install file to my hard drive and install from that location. I also tried one of the installs to a different destination folder C:\iTunes rather than the default C:\Program Files\iTunes. All other apps are running normally without error. Also worth noting whether OK or CANCEL is clicked the error window disapears and nothing happens, I just go back to my desktop.

I did ask about Quicktime, I was getting there
quite right, i didn't notice that when i posted earlier. sorry Rachyl.
just a heads-up note from personal experience: although this precise version of the error message is reported pretty rarely, the 0x10001040 signature shows up quite often also mentioned as the "offset" in "itunes has encountered an error ..." message error reports. Almost invariably (i can't think of a single case reported otherwise), the standalone QT reinstall has fixed one of these where 0x10001040 is mentioned.
(occasionally, there's a follow-up problem to do with "error-less" launch failure. but in those cases the poor people may have been getting two different problems on top of each other.)

    Hi Kieran,
No it is likely to be your end for the port 5060.
iChat uses a text based protocol called SIP to establish calls.
You send invites on port 5678.
When this is accepted iChat moves to port 5060 and start the SIP process. This uses a third party server to pass the data back and forth with the Buddy.
As part of this process it decides which ports from the group 16384-16403 are going to be used.
AIM on a PC does not use SIP but can be identified by the process as such.
Although the AIM application uses port 1024-5000 which need to be open in any Firewall and modem at the PC end ....
... the outcome is that it will use the iChat ports for the Video connection.
Some modems come with preset for "AIM Video" the Norton Firewall may as well. If using Norton the XP firewall needs to be Off.

  • Strange error message when starting ITunes, ITunes doesn't recognise devices for wifi sync

I have other wifi problems with my IMac running Mountain Lion but this is the most annoying. When I start ITunes it doesn't recognise that I have my IPhone 5 and my IPad 2 sitting connected to the same wifi network and waiting to sync.
In the Console I get this error exactly when ITunes starts up:

Google search has explained to me that this is related to Bonjour but nothing further. I have done the 'usual' - booted in safe mode, repaired permissions, updated software, reinstalled Mountain Lion via Disc Recovery, restarted my modem etc.
Before I just wipe the hard drive and start again from scratch, maybe there's something obvious I'm not doing? Every other device in the house (2 x Iphones, 2 x Ipads, 1 Apple TV, 2 wifi radios and 1 other IMac desktop) have no problems with the wifi network.

I am having similar issue.  Getting these same 24 error messages everytime I start iTunes. Sharing is already off.

  • EPM 11.1.2 - wallet file errors trying to start foundation services.

Running EPM 11.1.2 in a distributed environment. Middle tier is on linux REHL 5 VM, sql server database. Essbase servers are all linux REHL 5 servers.
We have faced several challenges getting the environment up and stablized. Most recently after several EAS crashes (while migrating Essbase artifacts), we can no longer start Foundation Services.
Has anyone faced this particular error? We have an open case with Oracle, no one seems to be familiar enough with WebLogic to assist.
    Part of the error log:

I had my iMac hard drive go bad, so I replaced it, powered the unit back up and booted into the Snow Leopard install disk.
I got to the step where I'm trying to restore from my Time Machine .sparsebundle and I selected the date and time of the backup I wanted to restore. When I click Next to go the next screen (Select a Destination) the utility gets stuck "Searching for Disks," and below that a warning icon says
"This disk does not have enough space to restore your system."
This sounds scary, and as the Time Machine drive now has the sole copy of my data I'm reluctant to do anything to it.
Does anyone know what's going on?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan.

Are you sure the new drive is formatted properly?
Check it via Disk Utility (you can get there from the same Utilities menu where you selected +Restore from backups).+
Select the top line of the drive (with size and make). Be sure the *Partition Map Scheme* at the bottom says +GUID Partition Table.+
Then select the next line, with the name you gave it, and be sure the Format shown towards the lower left is +Mac OS Extended (Journaled),+ unless you made it +Mac OS Extended (Case-Sensitive, journaled),+
Also see how much space it shows for Available to the right.

  • Errors trying to start OC4J instance

    Hi Folks,
I'm getting the following error after deploying a Struts based web app and attempting to restart the container:
oracle.security.jazn.JAZNInitException: The system is unable to retreive the specified realm(s).
This is appearing in the instance log file..
    Any ideas?
    THanks!
    -Sean

Do you really need 64 bit Web Server for load balancing? Is it not possible to
connect 64 bit app server from 32 bit SJSWS?
64 bit Web Server typically helps for larger jvm heap and larger file cache.
If you are running Web Server as a load balancer then what are the reasons,
    you need larger address space?

  • Strange error trying to run application - classpath maybe?

Hi - I'm having problems running programs and applets. It used to work running them from the command line before. Installing J builder might have changed that, I'm not sure. I can compile a program from the command line but when I try to run it I get the following error:
    C:ATProject> java Hello
Registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion' has value '1.3', but '1.4' is required.
    Error: could not find java.dll
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment
I have jdk1.4 installed. The following is the autobat file - I think the classpath is set correctly?
    PATH C:\JDK1.4\BIN
    C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1\SCAN.EXE; C:\
    @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE
    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2
    SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
    SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\SOUND.JAR;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\JMF.JAR; C:\JDK1.4\BIN
I'ld be very grateful anyone could suggest anything.
    Thanks for your time,
    Roseanne.

Thank you all so much. I can compile and run simple applications from the command line now. Compiling applets works too. One thing I was confused about - is the j2sdk1.4.1 a JDK?
I have another question about applets if you have time? I can run one applet no problem - Its an applet that uses awt. However if I try to run the following applets I get errors:
    1. When I try to run a simple applet that uses Swing from the Swing tutorial on this site and I get an error from Internet Explorer saying that the program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
    2. When I try to run another applet that I've written myself it says class not found and shows the following in the Java console:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.swing.JApplet
         at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass (URLClassLoader.java)
         at java/lang/ClassLoader.loadClassInternal (ClassLoader.java)
         at java/lang/ClassLoader.resolveClass (ClassLoader.java)
         at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass (URLClassLoader.java)
         at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass (URLClassLoader.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedClassLoad (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.run (AppletPanel.java)
         at java/lang/Thread.run (Thread.java)
I'm using Internet explorer 4.0. Should that support java? Do I need a plugin and if so where do I download that from? Or could this be a path problem again? This is my autoexec.bat file now:
    SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\J2SDK1.4.1\BIN
    C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1\SCAN.EXE; C:\
    @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE
    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2
    SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
    SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\SOUND.JAR;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\JMF.JAR
I would be very grateful if you could come up with a way to fix this problem,
Thanks a million for your help so far.

  • Strange error trying to configure

Found the server, logging in with SSO admin and get this. Any ideas?
    Something failed. Try again.
Command output does not match the expected pattern. Make sure the passed output is from the correct command, and the command completed successfully. Output is:

Probably some problem in the network configuration, although I couldn't figure out why the host command doesn't return anything AND doesn't complain ..
Can you try these as well:
    1) host -v $(hostname -f)
    2) Also check if you have any nameservers configured - you can do this with cat /etc/resolv.conf
Generally, you can cancel the installation and go configure the network settings from the installer. Just press "Cancel" in the wizard, then go to the "VA Settings" tab, there is an interface for network configuration
(you can then continue with the installation by going to "Overview" and pressing "Configure Support Assistant")
    Hope that helps

  • Is anyone else having Config error 16 issue when trying to start PSE 12 or Premier Elements after Mac upgrade to Yosemite 10.10 on iMac

Is anyone else having Config error 16 issue when trying to start PSE 12 or Premier Elements 12 after the Mac upgrade to OS X Yosemite 10.10 on iMac. I have had a number of issues with software and things after upgrading to OS X Yosemite 10.10 and even 10.10.1.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled both PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 a number of times and everything goes fine until its ready to launch and then you get an error message. Numerous uninstalled and reinstalls don't removing the problem.  Strangely enough  PSE 11 still appears to boot up and I never owned Premier Elements 11 so I don't know if it will start. I thought with Apple dropping its Apeture software and greater integration of iPhoto and Apeture files into Lightroom 5.7 all would be harmonious between these two players. Im not sure where Adobe wants us to go it recently removed the plugin to allow you to update files from LR to Adobe Revel, whats up with that. I now own two version of Adobe software that no longer work with my Mac and now way of uploading pictures from Lightroom to Revel. Needless to say I am pretty reluctant to sign on to a subscription of Creative Cloud with long term financial obligations when I can't even get my current Adobe software to work independently much less integrate with Lightroom. Frustrated with it all!

Get rid of 'put disks to sleep when possible' and you may see a dramatic improvement (not necessarily a cure).
That specific problem is a multiple-Processor (including graphics processor) problem, where one of the processors lost track of whether it should be responding to interrupts. You may have a Hardware problem.
