Strange File name appearance, PLEASE HELP!

I have Mac OS X v 10.6.8; When I open any finder window, the below file name appears on all of them. I have deleted the item to "trash" it still shows when I open any finder window! I suspect it is some kind of virus, but I am not sure. I have NortonAntiVirus running on this machine. Please help!

hi, guys:
We installed Oracle APEX 4.2, and APEX listener 2.0 and Oracle 11g standard edition for our application. But sometimes when user tried to download csv file from an interactive report, the file name was a very strange one, sometimes even no .csv extension. could anyone give me a hint to find documentation about it?

I just used to_char to output date without "/" and soleved it. The other way is to set application property-->security-->browser security with basic level. This only applies to APEX 4.2. I am lucky for that I am using Apex 4.2.

I can has editing?Suspect you are trying to explain that "/"s are being rendered as <tt>&#x2F</tt>? If you want to include character entities in forum posts then you have to type the ampersand ("&") as an entity itself, thus: <tt>&amp;#x2F</tt>.Windows or *NIX filenames can't contain "/"s anyway, so you can't use them regardless of how APEX is rendering them. Using a <tt>YYYYMMDD</tt> format is also recommended as it follows date order when using character comparison semantics.

Strange file names

Hi,
I noticed some days ago some strange file names on my Finder Windows under Macintosh HD. Files like %A0 or more complex names with lots of unusual chars. When I get info they are 0Kb. I tried to trash them but the system asks me for the admin password. What are these strange files? Can I trash them without making harm to the system?

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where XI reads input file via File adapter. Once the file is read successfully I need to archive it.
I also need to append timestamp to the archived file. After 10 days the archived file should be deleted.
How to achieve this in XI? Where do we specify the retention period for archived file? DO we have to write any script for teh same? IS there any sample script code available?
In file communication channel there is an option for archiving faulty files. Will this work for successfully processed files also?

The option of archiving the file is available in Processing Mode:

YOu can set the Processing mode to Archive to achieve your requirement.
retention period setting is not done in the communication channel.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on anoterh computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have Windows 7 on a Dell. Open and play iTunes in the compatability mode and use Windows XP (service pack 2). Disregard any messsages to disable the compability mode. This has worked for me. I have also reinstalled iTunes and played with burn speeds etc. These ideas did not work. Compatability mode works.

Hi Ahmed,
In iTunes, go to the Store in the left menu, select iTunes Store, wehn it opens, make sure you are on the home screen (icon of a house in the menu bar) and from the righthand side, select Account.
Next you will see all of your account information. Just a little don, you will find: Apple ID overview, there it says, Authorised computers; click on the button to deauthorise.
And you should be done.

I just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation. My computer did have the faulty part you linked to. I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager. Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge. They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test. They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above. I've never had this experience before. Even brand new, I got occasional crashes. Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow. Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed. Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Not sure I understand how Migration Assistant is doing anything. I thought MA was for connecting your computer to another computer or volume and transferring files. I'm just not sure how you're using it. Like I said earlier, everything you do on your Mac overwrites more of what data may have been recoverable if there even was any. Not to kick you when you're down but this is exactly he kind of a situation where a time machine or other back up would have saved you a lot of heartache. I'm sorry but I don't think I can be of any help :-(
