Strange & first time mail issue, help anyone?

On .mac account, send mail to one correspondent results in her only seeing subject and nothing in body. Other correspondents from same account have no problems, this is the only person who cannot view. Confirmed in "Sent" Folder, entire message is visible. Awaiting results of sending email from different account, but anyone have similar experience? Thoughts? No viral activity on my end (and I do a daily virus check)

Sending from your .Mac account via webmail access or via the Mail.app?
Is this a message received that was forwarded or a newly composed message?
Do you know which OS and email client this recipient is using?
If the same occurred with all recipients, then likely a Mail.app problem. Since it occurs with only one recipient, then likely a problem on the recipient's end.
Of course you have no viral activity since there are no viruses (by definition of a virus) that currently infect or affects OS X and if this were a virus, it would involve an attachment and all recipients using antivirus software would be reporting a problem with the attachment or attachments. Did you include any attachments with the message?

Check your Window menu -> Activity menu to see if anything is really not happening. If it isn't happening, check your settings.

Alright Fico family, i am here for assistance as a first time home buyer. I have been preparing for this day for like 2 years now and i want to make sure i have everything close to ready. In August, i plan on starting the home buying process and i am here to find out if i will qualify or what i need to do to make my chances a lot better than it could be. Below is my portfolio. Downpayment: I have $6000 saved up now and plan on adding to it until i close on the house so it might be more, but right now 6k is on standby for the downpayment on the house Income: $40,371 and i will have been at my job for 2 years in August Credit Score(Not the mortage score but it is Fico): Experian 681 Transunion: 667 Equifax: 688 I plan on pulling the mortgage scores when i am ready to sit down with a lender. Wise or not? I have only one collection on my transunion for $150. I been trying to get it off my name but no luck and i refuse to pay it. Now will this hurt me as far as the mortgage, or i can not worry about it since it is small? Monthly Debt:
Car Loan: $13,665 at 3.94% $265 monthly Student Loan: 40,000 which is defered till April of 2016 Amex: $6000 CL with $2000 Balance Chase: $1000 CL with $600 Balance Discover: $1500 CL with $500 Balance NASA FCU: $4000 CL with $1500 Balance Buckle: $1850 CL with $0 Balance Finger Hut: $1300 with $0 Balance Walmart: $3500 CL with $900 Balance HH Gregg: $4000 CL with $1100 Balance Wow, writing this out really made me realize i have too many balances, like i knew it before but it just hit me. 1) ...need to think about where you intend to buy ...if in rural area around Atlanta, USDA is much more advantageous than FHA in most cases, check the USDA site for property eligibility map+ ...you might be surprised at what is considered rural2) ...your income is low enough to qualify for most state/county down payment/closing cost assistance programs ...also the USDA Direct program ...don't overlook these programs ...most will provide several k in assistance and most are either grants or forgiven if you live there for long enough3) ...do your homework on the student loan payments ...there are substantial changes on going that may force the lender to use 1 or 2% of your SL total debt as a monthly payment in your dtir calculations whether or not they are deferred or IBR ...the payment your SL lender requires may well not be what your mortgage lender will use depending on the program4) fico appears to weigh cc utilization in tiers ...50/30/10 being widely claimed as breakpoints in the scoring ...thus I would pay down all debts to 50% first, then 30%, then 10%, then zero on all but one cc account ...that will result in the fastest fico 8 score rise ...the problem with that strategy is that the dtir calculations will use every cc with a balance owing at the minimum payment reported ...and that can sink your dtir despite a rising fico score ...you need to figure out which payment strategy serves you best ...in your situation, I'd not worry about cc interest charges right now ...focus on what gets you to a mortgage. 5) the TU debt only matters if it is recent ...fico weighs paid/unpaid the same ...some lender overlays may require you to pay it but most will not6) ...pull your fico mortgage scores now ...its $40 well spent to know where you really stand ...differences of 50 points +/- are all too common depending on whats in your individual file ...no use in waging a battle that you don't need to fight ...as always, ymmv ...hth

First Time Mail Sync

I am trying to help a new IPad user. Syncing her mail to a roadrunner account. It will send and receive, but will not download the mail already on the server. Anyone know why?

Email is not synced with a POP account. This is with an Exchange account or IMAP account only.
After creating the account with the iPad's Mail application, only new messages received at the server after that time were downloaded by the iPad's Mail application? When creating a POP account with any email client, all messages that remain at the incoming mail server (in the account's Inbox mailbox at the server) are downloaded as new and unread messages, or should be.
Does she have additional mailboxes available at the server created via webmail access for the account using a browser that she uses to transfer messages from the account's Inbox mailbox via webmail access for the account?

Bought an iPhone5 from Dubai a week ago and am having a constant problem with the touchscreen going haywire. It starts flickering and apps keep opening and closing. Did a hard reset, restore, numerous times, same issue. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

The local retailer Sharaf DG needs 10 days to check the issue, not helpful at all. I spent more money to buy it from the retailer instead of the online store, and when I called Apple support they said they couldn't help me as I bought the phone from the retailer and not online. I'm extremely disappointed as this is my first iOS device and I've been told about how the iPhone is bulletproof. Guess i got a lemon.

Ok Guys, got the device back. Service centre said they replaced the Display and touch panel. I would have preferred a new phone, but whatever. I just hope this does it and the problem is fixed. @Robo, I've also got a new nano-SIM from the carrier, so hopefully now anything that can cause the phone to go crazy, is fixed.
Will update everyone in a week to confirm that the issue is resolved. Many thanks for everyone's responses.

Serious Mail Issue - Help

I can't use Mail anymore.
After clicking the icon I get the message 'Mail quit unexpectedly'.
Within a huge information report I see also:
Exception Type: EXCBADACCESS (SIGBUS)

I should also say that I'm fighting with MobileMe on our new IPad...
But is was working fine so far until this afternoon.

OK, I run disk repair utility before I opened this thread.
Now I created a new user account and started mail, successfully !
I logged off and re-logged on with my regular account and started mail, successfully !
This is strange...
I still suspect MobileMe !!! Because meanwhile I also cut the link to MobileMe. Maybe that was the reason why mail worked fine again.
But I already connected MobileMe again, and Mail still works fine so far.
Again, this is strange...
I think I need MobileMe support. I'll try to join a chat tomorrow.

Ah first time here, plz help! Flash / Premiere

Ok, I have been using Flash since way back. I'm now in CS5 and need a solution for this and since I have the CS5 master Suite I would think Premiere can do this following scenerio.
I have a flash presentation, the client needs me to add a voiceover track to the existing animation but the voiceover needs to be edited to fit. I need a solution where I can see the swf, add the voiceover.mp3 and edit accordingly.
Once I do this I woudl have to export the edited audio as an .mp3 and drop it in the .fla of the presentation.
Can this be done in Premiere and is there a tute for something like this?

Very glad that all worked for you.
Though I do not know it, it appears that Cubase probably has issues, such as I suspect with Audition. The choice of DAW is up to what the user has available.
PrPro has pretty good Audio-editing capabilities already, and when it falls short, I just reach for Audition (have not really put the newer versions of SoundBooth to a test, so cannot comment on any limitations there), even if I do an Export for a reference file for the Video. Keeping things in one program has many benefits, and usually saves a lot of time and effort.
Now, if SmartSound would just do their Sonicfire Pro 5 to work within PrPro CS5, like they did with FCP! That would save me a lot of reference Video file Exports, when scoring. They claim that it's in the works, but I have not seen anything new, on that front, for quite awhile.

PS - one of the biggest issues with MP3 source material, is when there are other "things" inside the MP3's, like album art, etc. Nice that yours worked fine.

IMAP E-mail Issues, Help!

Just decided to go IMAP with all of my email accounts and devices. I was under the impression that emails should look the same on all devices (what's in my inbox, deleted, etc.) however, no email is showing up on my iPhone. It loads on to my machines, but not on the phone. It says 'downloading 1 of 14 messages' but never actually downloads any mail. Any help would be much appreciated!

IMAP server is fine. I only have problems with my iPhone. Even then, the problen is intermittent.

This is typical. Old email is cleaned out, but new email is not displayed. Running update does nothing.
a While later update now brings in old emails. The date of the update is Wednesday, yet the previous Sundays emails are displayed. Running update again does nothing. After a day or two, it begins working fine. This situation happens over and over.

Time Capsule Issue Help!!!!!

I had a time macbook for 3 yrs! About a week ago it got liquid damage and was replaced. I used time machine for backup and wireless connections. In the past I have looked multiple times and seen my content was back up. Today after setting up my new macbook pro and time capsule back up to it. I went to go transfer files from time capsule and there was nothing but the current back ups from todays date. I had to perform a soft reset to set up a new password. From my understanding a soft reset doesnt erase previous backups it just allow seeting changes to be made. I need someone help because all my photos, video and import information is in that time capsule (or not). HELP SOMEONE PLEASE!!!!

How did you set up your new Mac? The best way is to use Setup Assistant to load everything from the backups. See How do I set up a new Mac from an old one, its backups, or a PC?
Depending on how you set it up, and what you've done since then, the reason you can't see the old backups is because they're for a different Mac. Time Machine normally only shows the backups for the Mac it's running on. To see backups for a different Mac, you need the Browse... option per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #17.

HT1349 I can no update my itunes for some reason for the first time having issues nothing happens

I've never had an issue before with updating itunes, but this time, there is an update available and it will not update it. Nothing happens. Everything else in iTunes appears normal as far as apps are there, songs, tones etc... that I've recently purchased. I want to update iTunes then sync my phone. Well, I went ahead and tried to sync my phone without updating iTunes and when I connected my phone I get this message.
"iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unlnown error occured (OxE80000001)"
I'm clueless as to what is going on. I've rebooted my computer and that is all.

First time Nokia user - help please!

Just got my first ever Nokia (6303). I seem to be having troubl;se with a couple of things, that I hope some of you can help me with please
Firstly, I've signed with the ovi store and everything's fine on the computer (signing in etc) BUT I can't sign in using the mobile. A message keeps coming up, saying my user name or password is wrong - but I know they are right!
Secondly, how do I put a sim lock on, where I need to enter a password when the phone turns on?

Device only connnected the first time..please help

ok so i was able to transfer some songs to my zen microphoto one time. ever since then i get a device not connceted when i try to use it....
ok so i removed the usb controller and then restarted the computer.then when it was restarted i plugged in the usb connected to the zenmicrophoto and it searched for new hardware. the new hardware wasfound and then the mtp was found. it set up the new hardware and saidit was ready to use. i clicked on the device under the manage devicewhere it was before and it said it was set up and running fine. wellwhen i tried to open it through the my computer or the zen microphotomedia explorer everything is dark and it says the device is notconnected please connect your micro photo to the computer. like i saidthough when you go to the manage device it says the device isconnected properly. also when you plug in the usb cable it throws mtpmedia player and askswhat you want windows to do with it's i click on organize media fileson the device and it opens the zen microphoto media explorer, but youcan't do anything with it except the getting started with the zenmicrophoto is lit up..nothing else it is all dark gray. what do i donow?

IOS iPhone Strange Portrait Splash Image Issue [HELP]

... Has anyone made an iPhone4 app that the splash screen doesn't jitter during loading ?
When I launch my app .. the splash screen shows.. then it shifts down about 5-10 pixels .. then back up .. then back down again.
Can someone please tell me the best way to get the splash screen to work properly?
My app is for portrait mode only.
What could be causing this ?

I have shaved 20 pixels off the height of my app to account for the status bar.. because the app for some reason doesnt sit under the status bar....

If you delete your email account on the iphone do you delete it permanently?

No, you can add it back. If it is an IMAP or Exchange account the email contents will resync. If it is a POP3 account any mail on the phone will be lost.
