Strange frm-18108 after breaking reference with an olb module

Hi all.
We have a foms10g module upgraded from a previous 6i version. As part of the upgrade process, an old olb module reference was broken, and a newer olb module was added.
Every time the form module is open it displays a frm-18108 error, saying a reference to an object is missing. The object is a pl/sql procedure which was part of the old olb library. We have checked, and there is not such reference. But it has to be somewhere although we can not see it.
I believe there was an issue when breaking the reference, but have no idea of how to fix this problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated ...!

We are completely sure all objects have been removed ... Remember the object is a pl/sql procedure.... How can one miss that ...?

Clearly, there are still some objects from the Forms Object Library (OL) that still exist in your form or you would not be getting this error. ;) Not all objects in an OL are PL/SQL objects. They can also be Property Classes, Visul Attributes, Canvases, Forms Triggers & Program Units, etc.

Sounds like you are working with the Enterprise Business Suite (EBS). The error you are getting is because Forms can't find a referenced object. This is because the directory where your TEMPLATE.fmb (and the objects the template.fmb form references) is not found in your FORMS_PATH. If you are using Windows, edit the registry and add the directory where you have your reference objects to the FORMS_PATH entry. Make sure you add it to the end of the existing value; not replace the existing value!

FRM-18108 Error when opening a form with subclassed objects

Dear Group,
I have 2 forms in Oracle Forms 6i. One of the forms contains an object group. The other form contains the object that I subclassed it to.
When I open the form that contains the subclassed object group, I get the FRM-18108 error.
If I open the form with the original object group, then open the subclassed form, there is no error.
Does this mean I must always open the original form in order to work on the one with the subclassed object group?
I hope there is an simple solution to what is something I am missing in my Oracle Forms setup.

Getting FRM-18108 and FRM-10102 when opening a form with Form Builder

Hi,
we're migrating from Forms 6i to Forms 10g. If I try to open a form in Form Builder 10g, FRM-18108 and FRM-10102 are appearing. I checked registry entries on my XP-System (FORMS90_PATH) and everything seems to be similar to the old Forms environment.
Any ideas ?

FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library %s.
This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
Cause:  The library you specified is locked by other users, the library name is invalid, or the library module could have been moved from or not exist in the FORMS90_PATH directory list.
Action:  Check the library name and try again later.

FRM-18108 When loading form (due to change in olb)

I am working with oracle forms 6i and have an object library and pl/sql library that are both utilized in all forms I work with. There was a duplicate stored procedure in the object library and pl/sql library so I removed the duplicate from the object library. This stored procedure that i removed from the olb was subclassed or copied to many of the forms I work with so I have been manually deleting that stored procedure from the forms so that my application will pick up the current version in the attached pl/sql library. The forms run fine however every time I open the forms that had the subclassed library object removed I get FRM-18108 Failed to load the following objects (the message references the object library as the source module and the stored procedure that was removed as the source object.)
I am not sure why forms is still looking for the stored procedures in the olb, I am confident that the subclassed copies from the olb have been removed form the form and there is no trace of the original code in the olb either. When running the form and calling that stored procedure it picks up the version from the pl/sql library without issue.
Both the object library and pl/sql library are correctly attached to the form and the registry does contain the path of their physical location. The form has been recompiled several times but I can't seem to get rid of the error.
Anyone have any idea what I can do to get rid of the FRM-18108 when opening forms that contained this subclassed unit that has been completely removed? It doesn't hurt anything but is annoying. Been searching through the forms but all I could find was issues with attaching the libraries which didn't help me on this.

Frm-18108 olb no longer exists

Hi,
i am using 10gR2 forms.
at first i created a olb containing webutil and my bean areas. i used it for a while and then i give up using it and decided to develop different design.
but still my forms developer gives error frm-18108(failed to load the fallowing objects with my deleted olb name.) while opening forms. in fact my forms do not subclass it anymore.
i searched registry for olb name and deleted found ones.
error continues when i try to open any form.
how can i stop error message?

Sounds like you have it attached somewhere still. Double check that you don't have it attached in any of the forms that are called by the application or the menu or some other attached file.

HP Photosmart 5510 will not print Black Ink!! - Time to "break-up" with HP

I came upon this forum by doing a google search for the issue I'm having which is my HP Photosmart 5510 will not print black ink. The printer is a year and a half old and is used only for home office use (not a heck of a lot of printing being done)
It started right after I installed new ink cartridges (all four of them) I want to mention hear that I ONLY buy genuine HP ink cartridges from Staples and when I replace my cartriges I replace all four at the same time even if one ink level is not considered "replaceably" low. When the issue started I thought I must have gotten a bad black cartridge so I went out and bought another one but was still having the issue. So that's when I did my google search.

After trying all of these my color ink is less than half full....remember....I started with 4 brand new ink cartridges...so now, I'm out roughly $85 in ink just trying to resolve a problem that should not have happened in the first place!! Shame on HP for makeing such poor quality products. I gave up on HP computers years ago and now I'm giving up on their printers!! This HP Photosmart 5510 All In One printer replaced an HP Color Laserjet CM1312nfi printer (which cost approximately $400) that only lasted about 3 years. Sorry HP but that's it....I'm moving on! Consider this our "break-up" letter.

Hi TisKate, sorry to hear that you are having printing issues when it comes to printing in Black. I am also sorry to hear that you are breaking up with HP. I would like to offer a couple more troubleshooting steps before we say our fond farewells. Now this might sound silly but really it isn't. If you have the power cable connected to a Power bar/strip, please remove it and connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet. HP printers already have a built in surge protector and if you have it in a strip/bar, the printer will not get all the power needed to function properly. This can cause printing issues or false error messages on the printer display screen. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
The other step I would like to take is on the printers display touch screen. Please use the right arrow key and go to the Wrench icon. Press the wrench and go to the Tools menu. Once in the Tools menu, please select Clean Printhead. Use the cleaning utility 2-3 times or until you see a change in the print status reports. It might take a few cycles but I am confident that it will make a difference.

FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects
I get the following error when I open a form that references an object library. The repercussions of this is that the window settings are affected in the main form and several other calling forms.

What do I need to do to resolve this? I need to fix this in NT and then upload the forms to Solaris to be compiled and then deployed over the web.
I need solutions for NT and what I need to do on Solaris.

at least for NT, you must place IN ALL the FORMS60_PATH (regedit of yourNT) of your regedit,the directories where you have the libraries, menus, etc, and of course your forms.
I suggest you: place your own directories in the first place of the forms60_path's item. then, repeat the attaching and compiling.

FRM-18108

Hi to All,
I am working on a Client-Server Application, Oracle 6i Forms.
My application is running perfect no problem.
I have worked on different forms of this application previously, tested and then moved to the production (by push).
One of the forms when opened gives me this error.
FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects
Source Module:fsc
Source Object: FSC_STD00
so on.
Under "Object Groups"
I can find all the source object which were not attached, they all have the red arrow of a subclass object.
whe the subclass Information for these object is clicked you get this message.
"Could not find the source object. Press view to view....."
If view is pressed the information presented is all grayed.
but the option button "Object" is select and in the text field "Module" has fsc. I found a form "fsc" which has all the source objects but if they were attached from the form then if I open the fsc form first and then the error form then I should not get this error.
If these are attached through a Object library, and I can't find the library anywhere then how is this application running.
After creating an exe for a form which has referenced objects from a Object library, then if the object library is lost, does the form exe function properly.
Can somebody help me regarding this issue.

Thanks to all who viewed this thread.
The answer to my own question is, If a object library is attached to a form, then the form is compiled the exe created works fine even if the object library is deleted. Reason Why.
When the form is compiled the object library is embeded in the exe, meaning whenever the object library is modified the form has to be compiled again to reflect the changes or else the old version is still there.
Where as in pll libraries they are attached at run time, meaning whatever the new version is or the latest version is attached when form is called.
That is the reason my applications are working properly even though the object library is lost.

FRM-18108 Failed to load the objects

I have upgraded the forms from 4.5 to 6i and when I tried to open the form PCOECU20 it gives me error
FRM-18108 Failed to load the following objects:
Source Module: PCOEar10
Source Object: STRUCTURE_NAME_QF_LOV
Source Object: pc_object_Group1
... and several others...
The form and libraries (pll, plx) are in the same directory.
Can anyone help?

Make sure you upgrade any object libraries or reference forms before the forms thta depend on them.
Also set your Forms60_path explicitly so you know that you are using the correct versions

Serious problems after Mavericks installation with External Drive Lacie P9220.

Experiencing serious problems after Mavericks installation with External Drive Lacie P9220 1TB. Mac Finder totally locked!
I had to format the External hard drive with a Windows PC (fat32), then format again with my IMac (mac Journal.) and hopefully restored data from time machine backup.
So far so good but system looks unstable. Some software were not able to write on the hard drive.Some strange things happens. With Mountain Lion never had an even minor issue.
I read many discussion regarding problems with WD, just wondering if anyone had the same problems with Lacie and if there is any tip to solve the
problem.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution because the article refers to whom have configured the drive with included software and drivers that came with the drive.
This is not my case, I never used any third party soft ...only OS X disk utility ...

[Solved] Strange font problem - after update.

Update:
Tried reinstalling, change the fonts, remove all font clear the cache.
change, look up the settings, looked up size, tried monitor dpi.
checked all the config files for anything remotely related to this problem.
Had a quick look at the bug tracker for google-chrome-beta as well no reported
font problems as far as i can find.
Update2:
Tried adding custom.css to the browser not even that worked.
update3: [SOLVED]
So i solved the problem.
The problem was a faulty font that was stuck and used in the pre somehow.
Removed and added another to the list and somehow that worked.
recommendations - if anyone has this problem in the future.
open firefox and look in the font tab what is used. and remove that
or try to install a fixed one. that should work.
-Nothing has yielded any working results.
So any ideas at this point would be most appreciated.
