Strange issues while using Word 2000

Several odd happenings with Word 2000 - the cursor suddenly jumps a line or two, or type one letter and three appear, or page down results in the document racing to the end, and more worringly, today I hit the delete to erase one word in the middle of a doc and the delete ran uncontrollably through the whole edocument, erasing it to the end. Help! This is my work here. I can't afford to lose this stuff.
Is this a OS problem (XP pro)? Or a driver?

Hi Gavin, it sounds like your keyboard is dirty or defected it's highly unlikely to be a driver problem. As for fixing the fault it would probably require opening the laptop to access the keyboard components.
Have you tried typing with another application??
Also try pressing all the keys on the keyboard in case one of them has accidentally stuck.
If the symptoms still persist then it's a trip back to Toshiba if still under warrant or perhaps a new USB / wireless keyboard theyre quite affordable these days.

Pause Video Keyboard Shortcut While Using Word

I am curious if there is a way to pause a video playing on the internet while using word.
I am watching a prerecorded lecture on Safari and taking notes in Word. It is incredibly annoying having to switch back and forth to pause the video so I can copy down what the professor says.
It would be a huge help if I could simply hit "Command or Option Whatever" and simply pause the video without leaving Word. Perhaps modifying the F8 key (a pause button that tries to open iTunes when I hit it)?
I really appreciate any help the community can lend. Thank you in advance.

I think the problem here is focus. The default keystroke for iTunes to play/pause will not be captured by the application unless you have the focus on iTunes.
I have no idea how you are used to working, but if you are just taking some notes at first, can you not resize Word and place it next to the video playback window? Or perhaps if Word resizing is too difficult, use a smaller text editor to do the same, than cut and paste into your word document, post-note taking, to format, etc?
Other than that, I don't know how to make custom shortcuts/key-assignments to create a work-around. Sorry.

Strange issue while printing invoice *** delivery challan

Dear experts,
I have a strange prob while taking out the printout of invoice ***/delivery challan.
We have two different locations (plants) A and B.
In sapscript layout we have defined GRN no and truckno in bottom windows and
type of invoice on upper part windows.
We are able to see complete output on preview in DEV,QAS,PRD
but on PRD when we take printout , part of output gets skipped on printing
though visible otherwise on preview.
What could be reason ?

Generally you face such problems in HP Printers.
Are u using HP laser Jet Printer .
Ok let me generalise the issue , you gotta ask ur basis guy to istall the latest driver for that printer
this will most probably solve ur problem.
Remember that once u get the print preview right , its either problem with the Basis or the printer.
If its a Z layout then ask ur Basis guy to check the internal setting as to at what height he is giving the page skip.

Issue while using SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE (High Priority)

While using SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE to generate a .csv file using the database table as a source it is throwing an error in the operator like.
ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target SUNOPSIS ENGINE connection SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: unknown token
(LKM used : LKM Sql to Sql.
IKM used : IKM Sql to File Append.)
can you please help me regarding this ASAP as it has became the show stopper for me to proceed further.

Hi All,
The Issue got resolved successfully.
The solution is
we need to change the E$_,I$_,J$_,...... to E_,I_,J_,.... ((i.e; removing the '$' Symbol)) in the PHYSICAL SCHEMA of SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE as per the information given below.
When running interfaces and using a XML or Complex File schema as the staging area, the "Unknown Token" error appears. This error is caused by the updated HSQL version (2.0). This new version of HSQL requires that table names containing a dollar sign ($) are surrounded by quotes. Temporary tables (Loading, Integration, and so forth) that are created by the Knowledge Modules do not meet this requirement on Complex Files and HSQL technologies.
As a workaround, edit the Physical Schema definitions to remove the dollar sign ($) from all the Work Tables Prefixes. Existing scenarios must be regenerated with these new settings.
It worked fine for me.

Strange Issue with using ExportToHttpResponse for exporting to Excel

Hi,
We are working with BO XI R2 with .Net 2.0.
We are using ExportToHttpResponse method to export the Crystal Report to pdf/excel and directly opening the export in a browser window.
Code being used is as follows :
For pdf : rd.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, oResponse, false, Name);
For Excel : rd.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.Excel, oResponse, false, Name);
where 'rd' is ReportDocument instance.
The strange issue here is that for pdf output this works as desired and the exported report is directly opened in the browser window. However when it comes to Excel ; it does not open the exported file in the browser window and gives a prompt to open/save file. Even if the 'asAttachment' parameter of ExportToHttpResponse method is set to false it still is sending the exported file as an attachment to the browser and not opening it directly (as it is happening in the case of a pdf export )
Do we need to set the Response.ContentType to excel ; if yes then why it is working in case of pdf.
Can any one please advise about this strange issue .

I was going through some othere threads and saw that ExportToHttpResponse is more preferred over ExportToStream . I even checked for setting up the Response.ContentType to Excel . I think I shoulfd give it a try to use ExportToStream.
Let me know if any one else has any other suggestion(s).

Mapping issues while using MapwithDefault Node function for Idoc

We are facing issues while trying to generate nodes at reciver side even though it does not exist at sender side.
we are using the matmas05 and we want the nodes E1marcm and e1mardm to generated at target structure.
the structure is like this

U will achieve this using UDF function. Map the below Like.

While using word, the computer started quickly deleting content line by line. What caused it?

What would cause my MacBookPro to start deleting text letter by letter, line by line while in Word? I couldn't use the cursor to stop the deletions.

I can imagine three scenarios.
If using an external mouse, one of the buttons could be stuck.
If using the internal trackpad, is it clicking properly (can also get stuck in a down position)?
Finally, you may have triggered a Sticky Key if you have that feature enabled in System Preferences / Universal Access / Keyboard.

Issue while using SUBPARTITION clause in the MERGE statement in PLSQL Code

I am using the below code to update specific sub-partition data using oracle merge statements.
I am getting the sub-partition name and passing this as a string to the sub-partition clause.
The Merge statement is failing stating that the specified sub-partition does not exist. But the sub-partition do exists for the table.

Authorization issue while using business content objects

Hi all,
I am getting an authorization error while loading from DSO to Cube (for standard business content objects only). Even i am not able access the data in Bex reports from Standard cubes or DSO.
The user is assigned to SAP_ALL .
But there is no such issue while accessing user defined DSO or cubes.
any solutions will be helpful.

Strange Dump while using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.

I am facing dump while using the FM 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION' as below. If I swap positions of w_p0041-endda and w_p0041-begda it does not give a dump but error msg is generated saying that no selection in the period(as obviously dates are in propper range). Network speed issues while using osx

this may seem a little bit strange, and i can't make any sense out of it but if anyone can figure out what my problem might be it would be greatly appreciated.
i have an older duel os (win xp, leopard) mbp and have had a lot of problems with hardware/software (osx) in the past, and have ended up, to my dismay, almost exclusively using windows.
anyway, just yesterday i decided it was time to give osx another chance. so besides having it hanging constantly while doing simple tasks, i have noticed my network speed is drastically reduced.
i ran a test on speedtest.net and ended up with 500kps average download speed, and 70kbps upload speed, with the closest server in my town at 800 ping.
i straight away restarded into windows and ran the test again, and achieved 13500kbps download, and 600kpbs upload, with a ping of 66.
NOTHING changed between the time of restarting. The router was left as it was, no other computers are switched on, and nothing is downloading.
In the past when using osx i have had frequent connection dropping issues, but as i run wireless i always just attributed it to my router. Although since using windows exclusively this has also ceased.
I have looked through airport settings and cannot find anything that looks like it may be the problem, although i'm not as experienced at getting into the back-end settings on osx.
the part that confuses me the most is the ping. latency generally increases with distance, not so much speed. i dont understand how the same server situated nearby can give 66 ms in windows and 800 in osx.
if anyone has any ideas, i thank you in advance.
p.s. i have osx 1.5.4 and was updating to 1.5.5 but the slow download speeds caused me to create this post. it does mention an increase in network performance in update notes for 1.5.5, if that will solve this than i apologize, although i doubt this drastic speed difference could have existed for so long if everything is set up correctly.

You are certainly not alone. I have the same problem. Download speed seems to be limited to 500KB/s (any program, any service) and 2.18MB/s using Windows. I tried two different routers with the same results. Even downloading the same files using rapidshare led to this. Very strange.
This has nothing to do with the DNS server. My connection speed is pretty fast. With and without the recommended OpenDNS server settings. I just re-installed Leopard and updated to 10.5.6. Nothing changed.
Seems like something is throttling the max. dl speed. Odd!

UIImagePickerController Custom Overlay Black Screen issue while using Video trimming controller

I have problem while opening camera in recording mode using UIImagePicker Controller with custom overlay and it should open first time properly .But when i push to next view controller and return back again to open camera at that time camera displays black screen for few time.
The Logic in the inside view controller is for VideoTrimming . For video trimming i have used "SAVideoRangeSlider" controll. SAVideoRange Silder perform task to get all thumbnail images from video which i have assign . It uses AVAsset image generator class provided by apple to get image frames from videos and it runs in background using its handler method.
Handler Method ::

Issue while using FM L_TO_CREATE_POSTING_CHANGE

Hi All,
We are facing an issue when creating a transfer order using the FM
L_TO_CREATE_POSTING_CHANGE.
We have developed a custom program to change the status (Zfield) of a
specific SU in LQUA and update its stock category. The program creates
the material document and posting change document in the background.
During this process, the badi MB_DOCUMENT_BADI~MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE gets
triggered where we call the above FM in the background task. During TO
creation, we have also implemented the badi LE_WM_LE_QUANT to update
the quant with the specific SU which was changed by the user in the
custom program. (We get this from the custom data base table).
The TO is created for mvt types 321, 322, 343, 344, 349 and 350.
We do not pass the t_LUBQU table in the above FM so that the program
gets the updated quant from the badi. The issue is that the FM
sometimes does not process properly and ends up without creating the
TO. We are not able to get the exact scenario for which it is
failing. When we debug it, we get message S178 - Foreground processing
is required.
Can anyone let me know what is the problem here?

you are trying to do a chicken and egg thing...
You have to commit the MM posting of the BAPI to create the change posting in WM before you can convert the change posting using the FM...
In other words.
call BAPI_GOODSMVMT_CREATE
commit work and wait
call L_TO_CREATE_POSTING_CHANGE
be aware that you still might get locking problems. the commit work and wait does not handle that all the time correctly...

HT1338 While using Word or reading a PDF from a downloaded file, my computer falls "asleep" - backlight fades in and out. I tried adjusting energy saver but it didn't help.

My backlight dims as if sleeping while I am using my laptop, typing in word, reading a PDF, as I am typing right now. I tap on the light button to restore but it only temporarily does so. I have tried "energy saver" but have not been able to wake it up. Otherwise, it responds.

Spinning ball of death appeared while using word with equations invoked twice

Has anyone else experienced a spinning ball ( had to force quit) while composing a word document with equations. It may be that I inserted equations more than once.

I doubt its the render directory.
There are advantages to moving to 1.0.4 (RedFlow) and there is no "Trash Preferences" fix, and even when people do manage to manually find the file to do that, it has never been reported to have had any effect at all.
"Hang on launch" does happen... sometimes its a hardware issue, possibly a broken path. Bad sector on the hard drive? does Disk Utility have anything to say for itself?
