Strange looking Dreamweaver

This is starting to get to me... Dreamweaver is not installed correct. I don't have any "icons" in the application!
What I got: MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) OS 10.10.1
Here's what I've tried so far:
Clean re-install of OS (latest OS 10.10.1) - English language, swe. keyboard
Clean install Creative Cloud - version 1.8.1.451
Installation of Dreamweaver
And it looks like this!
What should I do?
I've talked to Helpdesk, they asked me to manually delete everything, done that! - Didn't work!
... I need it so bad in my work right now!

Strange looking PDF email attachments

Hi,
We are sending out a lot of output documents (like order confirmations, invoices, etc) from our 4.6B R/3 system to our customers as a PDF file attached to an email.
For now, we are only using normal SapScript.
Recently we got complaints from (for now only) 2 customers saying that the PDF file looks strange.
The biggest part of the document looks fine but there are some characters with huge font sizes.
When looking in transaction SOST before sending, the document itself looks fine.
When sending it to my own email address it looks fine.
Only when the customer receives the attachment, it looks strange. The customer also receives PDF attachment from other vendors but without problems.
We tried to analyze which part of the document might cause the problem... and as far as we can see we think it's the SapScript ADDRESS function which is causing the problem.
It seems to enlarge the city and/or country name.
The huge letters are then covering other parts of the document, making it unreadable.
Has anybody ever had such a problem ?

You need to change your file association to open .pdf files with Adobe Reader.

Strange looking "Luxi Sans" font

In my KDE 3.2.3 under Archlinux the font "Luxi Sans" looks a bit strange, with some lines wider than others etc. Nothing really bad, but annoying since I used it as my standard KDE-font and liked it. All other fonts look good, so I supposed it is not one of the general font problems, right?
Does anybody have the same problem or know how to fix it?

seems, that you run antialised under gentoo and not under arch
If you mean the KDE Appearance - Fonts settings: The anti aliasing is checked there under Arch as well as under Gentoo.
maybe related?
He seems to have different letter sizes, so I don't think it's related.
But I have noticed now, that there are some (few) other fonts as well, that look strange... so it seems like it is indeed a more general font problem and I'll look into the "font-problem"-threads again and check the hints there.

Printing is not correct. I can print to either my HP Photosmart printer or a pdf printer and I get the same thing. Strange looking letters and spacing but not normal reading print. Is there a way to set up my printing in version 4 beta?

Strange look and feel behavior

Hi!
I'm developing a little program using JDK 1.1.8. I'm using the Metal look and feel, and everything goes well. The componentes are showed perfectly. Because I need to distribute the program to other PCs, I have compressed the program into a Jar file. In the other PC I've installed the JRE 1.3 that has capability to double click on a jar file and run it. The problem is that when I run the program with the jar method, the size of the components changes (especially the tables, and the fonts), and I don�t understand why, because I have specified in the beginning of the program to use the Metal Look and feel.
What can be the problem?

There've been an awful lot of bug fixes and changes between 1.1.8 and 1.3 -- I'm not surprised there'd be some differences.
I'd say install 1.3 on development machine and see how it looks -- probably looks different as well. If you want to know specifically why, then you're gonna have to read all the release notes for each update from 1.1.8 thru 1.3 and you'll probably find alot of reasons.

Strange looking file keeps appearing in Trash -

Over the past two days I keep finding a file called "␀␀␀õ␀␀.␀␀" in the Trash and if I do a Get Info on it it usually disappears. The next time I open the Trash it re-appears however.
If I empty the Trash without listing the contents first, it will again disappear but then the next time I open the Trash it re-appears again. This is really frustrating because the Trash always seems to have stuff that needs to be deleted.
I've used Terminal to look at the .Trash folder in my profile and done a ls -la to see all files including hidden files and there's nothing showing in the folder listing. However this **** file in he Finder keeps appearing.
I've also done a verify and repair of disk permissions and done a verify disk in Disk Utility. No problems were listed with either check.
Any ideas as to get rid of it?

If you do an "ls on .Trash" you won't find it. If you do a "sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash", it's still there...
That's because it is, in fact, not there. It's on another volume. Are you running windows?

Strange look for the iTunes Store

Hello,
It's been two days, and when I use the iTunes Store, I get this kind of bug (see the image below).
I don't have this bug when I'm browsing my music; only when I'm on the store.
I have also the same bug with MetroTwit, which I think is using Microsoft .NET Framework to run.
I remembered to have installed some Windows 7 update that where fixing security stuff about .NET Framework 4 this weekend.
Any clue?

Strange looking Safari and crashes?

Hey there, I have recently had some real stability issues with Safari. It often hangs (with the Beach Ball of Doom) for around 2 minutes when scrolling, and often crashes.
Another problem I have is that when scrolling, very often that not the text and webpage goes all 'weird' (don't really know how to explain it). It does this even after a reboot and sometimes goes for a while but always seems to come back.
As for the crashing, I don't know why it happens as I have a new 17" iMac 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1gb RAM. I have plenty of HD space, and all other applications seem to run fine.
At the moment, my old Powerbook G4 seems to be running way faster than this iMac (which should be better, surely?).
Any help would be appriciated, and to help I have attached a screenshot of the problem in Safari:

Strange look of certain buttons in Safari

Hi all,
Recently, Safari 4.0.3 started displaying certain buttons incorrectly. See http://avhproductions.be/img/screens.png for a screenshot.
I tried disabling plug-ins, resetting Safari, repairing permissions et cetera, but no luck.
Any ideas?

[SOLVED] Strange look in term

In the left term in this scrot shows something weird.
The first 10 letters, "python2 ex", shouldn't be there. It gets "stuck" there if i scroll in the term history.
Anyone knows what/why/how this happens? Just annoying, no real problem....

What do you mean that it gets stuck there?
Have you tried pressing the down arrow-key/page down to see if the line would go blank?
lspci: I mean that those 10 letters are there when i use up/down arrow to scroll through the history and get stuck until I execute a command or something. Then the line gets back to normal again. But the "stuck" part isn't a part of the command. It's just text, like it would be a part of my PS1 for a moment.
The Saint: This happens in both urxvt and xterm for me and all the time as long as i scroll through the history.
x33a: I echoed $TERM and got "xterm" (without the " ofcourse).
And as i said before. Is more of an annoying thing, no real problem, really...
Oh, you mean like when a line of commands suddenly, instead of continuing onto a new line simply overwrites the current line, but actually doesn't?

I can't figure this out.
All the page numbers have these little lines between them like so... I want to get rid of them. Can anybody diagnose what's causing that?

If it is an "underlined"!
In this case, I have reproduced the problem but, here, this "underlined" can not be deleted directly by a search-and-replace.
Why?
Because, to do it, I have introduced a grep style associated with a character style:
Grep style: ,
[comma + space]
Char style: with only "Underlined" applied
This may help some people in other situations.

Dreamweaver not correctly detecting orphans

I have a site with hundreds of files, all files have a "skip to content" link. Whenever I run a site wide link report, no HTML files appear as orphans.
I've tracked this down to links within pages to anchors: for example any "in-page contents list" or "back to top" or "skip to contents" etc. Some of the HTML files are not linked to by any other files, and if you try to delete them you get no warning message saying "there are X files linking to..." So Dreamweaver knows the file is an orphan (no file linking to it), but does not list it in the orphans report.
Attached are three files as an example: A links to B, B links to A and nothing links to C yet C does not appear in the orphans report.
Currently using Dreamweaver 8.
Does anyone know how to get these orphans listed in the orphans report? Any extensions etc? Or if later versions of DW have fixed this issue?

That's the way it is sometimes. Live view emulates what the browser sees whereas Dreamweaver does not.
Dreamweaver is still a bit of a dog when it comes to css rendering in Design View. Infact I was astonished to find only a few days ago that it baulked at tried and tested css attributes I have been using for years that had previously displayed correctly. Of course I may have used them in a combination, given there is literally hundreds of minor variations, that it was just not happy with.
The css worked in all modern browsers so I couldn't be asked to pick the page to pieces to detect just when and where the 'fracture' ocurred.
I'm sure if I had the patience I could find a work around to correct the issues but sometimes its just not worth the extra time and frustration.

Dreamweaver CS5.5 not displaying fonts correctly in live view

I've integrated some web fonts into my website, which display properly in every browser on my computer (and more importantly) on on other computers properly; strangely enough, Dreamweaver CS5.5's live view doesn't display them as they should be displayed. The font Raleway is displayed as Times New Roman, and League Gothic as Helvetica. Stranger still, Ubuntu, which I use for my <body> element in general, works fine in all weights and styles. Any advice on how to get the other fonts to work properly?

As you can see, these do reference TTF fonts on my remote server, as well as in my local folder (which mirrors my remote server, obviously).

My iPad 3 makes all photos transferred from my PC look like they have a yellowish colour cast.

All photos transferred from PC have washed out, yellowish look to them. Same photographs appear fine on PC monitor and strangely, look fine when viewed through Flickr on iPad, not through Photos. All other colours look great on device. Same photos look fine too on my old first gen iPad. Any ideas?
