Strange message when paying online

Hi, For about the last month I have been getting a strange message when paying for stuff online. It usually works the second time I try! The message isYour authentication could not be completed because of a system error. If this happens consistently, please contact your CSR. I first thought virus/malware but scans have not found anything (Avast & Malwarebytes). I was using Firefox but have tried IE today as an experiment and I got the message on that too. I also tried a different c/card the other day and still got it! I have googled the message which seems to indicate card issuer problems but none of the occurances I've looked at are not that recent so I'm a bit unsure where to look and was wondering if it might be something to do the Sky site filtering software? Any thoughts would be appreciated.Nick

Strange message when I try to update my ipod with songs...

Everytime I try to update my iPod with a song, it appears in the playlist but when I unplug the iPod to listen to the song it disapears. Also I get this strange message. It says:
The file or directory \ipod_Control\iTunes\Temp File 4 is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.
HELP ME PLEASE

Do a Restore on the iPod then resync the music to it.

Strange Message When Trying to Sync iOS 4.1

Ever since updating to iOS 4.1 yesterday, I have been receiving the following message when trying to sync my iPhone 4 with my home PC: "The iPhone "Mike's iPhone" Cannot Be Synced; You Do Not have Sufficient Privileges For This Operation". This is my third iPhone and I have never received this message before; also, I am using the same PC (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit)that I have for the past 8 months, and have never before seen this message. I am the sole user and administrator on the PC; the strange thing is, my iPhone appears to be syncing ok. I Googled this and saw several responses related to deleting the "iPod Photo Cache" folder on my PC, which I did, but I still get the same error message. Any thoughts?

In which step the error is occuring.
The following steps will help you to configure synchronization -
1.
Connect
your device using Desktop Manager and click on Synchronization
2.
From the
menu on the left click Synchronization under Configuration
3.
Again
click Synchronization button on the right which will give you option to Select
Device Application that you want to synchronize
4.
Put the
check mark and you'll get a prompt to Select Desktop Application
5.
Highlight
the application name and click next button
6.
Under Synchronization
Option you get Direction of Synchronization
7.
Check
the radio button with Two way sync
Note: above
mentioned steps are explained as per Desktop Manager 4.5
Example:
Synchronize Address Book –
Connect you HH with
your desktop Manager in your PC. If you device is set to wireless sync then you
need to turn off wireless synchronization. To do so go to Address Book
-> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No
-> click Menu and Save the changes.
Click on the Synchronize
button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on
Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address
Book (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer
apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization
radio button and click OK twice go
back to Synchronize tab ->click
on Synchronize Now.

Strange message when entering the Testing subforum

As noted by Somali.Pirates in his thread "Hello Claudio", when one enters the Testing subforum, one gets a strange message. This is the version I get in Explorer11/Win7:
This happens to me in IE/Win, Firefox/Mac and Safari/Mac, but not in Chrome/Win. When I click on the Accept button, I enter the subforum normally. In all cases, there is that misterious "2", buy only in IE I have the option of closing the box, which apparently produces the same effect than the Accept button.
Yet another new Adobe/Jive "feature"?

Strange message when logged in to bpel console

Hi All!
I just installed bpel on my linux machine. After starting the bpel server and logging into the console I saw this strange message:
Cannot find instances.
An attempt to fetch the instances using the where condition " ( ci_state = 1 OR ci_state = 2 OR ci_state = 3 )order by ci_modify_date desc " from the datastore has failed. The exception reported is: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
Please check that the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network.
Also I created a pl/sql helloworld webservice, and a bpel process to invoke it through a partnerlink. After deploying it to the default domain I see only name of the bpel process in the deployed processes list unlike both the bple process name and the webservice name.
The linux flavor I am using is fedora red hat. The database is oracle 10g on the localhost itself. The bpel version is 10.1.2.0.2.
What could be the cause of these problems. I feel the second problem is because of the first problem that is there. Any suggestions and solutions please.

Hi All!
Ran the script for the view generation. Found it in domain_oracle.ddl. Granted dba privilege to orabpel to execute the script. Redeployed the bpel process. Now no error is there and the bpel process works fine.I think to successfully install bpel on linux box orabpel needs admin privileges.

I am getting an error message when I try to open an attachment to an email entitled movie.avi. It says I may need more software but its not a helpful message because it does not say whta software. Lame and frustrating.

Strange message when opening a FCP file

Hello, I have recently updated my Final Cut Studio to have FCP6 and when I open a project that uses Apple Pro Res it tells me this:
"File format is too new for this program"
Any thoughts on why this is so?

You will see this message when you attempt to open a project file that was created on a version of FCP that is newer than the version that you are using.
What version of Final Cut Pro was used to create the project?
What version of Final Cut Pro do you currenty have?
I know you said FCP6 in your post, but the *point version* is important.
(6.0.1, 6.0.2 etc, with 6.0.5 being current)

Strange message when trying to connect to another computer via SMB

I sucessfully set up a MAC/VISTA network and used it for the past days. I connected through CMD+K smb//:<my_ip>
But now I get everytime the following message when doing that:
_*"Connection failed" - This data server is already active on your computer. Please access the files and volumes locally.*_
(This is my translation of the german message, so it might not be the correct translation)
Anyway, I can't find the share in Finder, it is not there anymore. What does this message means, I'm confused??

open up your terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app)
Type in the following:
cd /Volumes <enter>
ls -al <enter>
Now see if the name of your Vista PC is in the list. If it is, unmount them (there may be multiple instances)
umount <Name of Volume> <enter>
You may have to use the "force" flag, like so:
umount -f <Name of Volume> <enter>
You'll have to be root to do that.

How can I get my serial Number when paying online?

I am being asked to enter a serial number when trying to open any adobe application. I am paying monthly for the product but when I ordered it I never recieved a serial number. It now comes up with 'Trial expired please enter serial number to continue'. I made the transaction for the product online and never recieved a serial number, only an order number. Where can I get hold of the serial number?

Account holder error message when paying bill

Strange message when opening an image in PS5

Sometimes when I open an image in CS5 I get this weird message It reads "photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver
and has temporily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturers website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be
enabled in the perfermormance panel of preferences" I am really at a loss as to what this means./when I go to preferences then performance I get this large screen with numerences choices, none of which mean anything to me. Does anyne have any advice or assistance. Honestly I cannot tell any change when I continue to process the selected image. But all that information has got to mean something.

You likly have a buggy display driver. They're fairly common.
Adobe describes the GPU-specific features (which you're losing when it disables OpenGL) here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405745.html
What you need to do to solve the problem at the root cause is (assuming you have a desktop computer) to visit the web page of the maker of your video card (e.g., nVidia or ATI) and download/install the latest display driver for your hardware and OS.
If you have a laptop usually you have to get the display drivers from the laptop maker's web site.

my java code runs fine from within borlands jbuilder IDE, but when i try to execute it from the command prompt i get an error message as follows.
registry key 'software \javasoft\java run time envirnment \current version ' has value '1.4' but '1.2' is required
does anybody know what this is about. all im doing is going to the directory i have my class files in then executing
java program_name

It sounds like you're running th 1.2 JVM on a machine that has a 1.4 JVM installed. Try using the java.exe command that was installed for 1.4 to run your application.

Strange message when trying to access an URL

An example of a shortcut to an URL and the message: Windows cannot find `http://www.google.ca/`. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search. OK
This message appears whenever I try a shortcut to an URL but the URL does open in the background. It is just getting rid of that annoying message that appears. This does not occur in Internet Explorer.

With me it happened when I updated to version 7.5.5 of RoboForm on my HP Windows 7 64 OS laptop. Version 7.5.6 fixes the problem

When I start a LR 5.7, I get a message "This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Choose "Swiotch To" to activate the busy programm and correct the problem." When I click on Switch To, it opens menu from Start button. If I click on Retry, it opens LR. How do I get rid of this message?
