Strange messages on unlock screen

Has anyone else noticed messages appearing in place of the date on the unlock screen? I posted an image here: http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4832/liketheweatherhg4.jpg
Is this a hack or a feature that I'm not aware of?

I find it interesting how many people don't know their music. I've had that happen with me and immediately recognized it as one of my songs. While I did wonder for a moment how it got there, I didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary.

Strange message on iPhone screen - what is it?

I have a message pop up on my iPhone screen that I cannot get to go away. I have turned off notifications, restarted the phone, updated it to the latest version, etc., and it still won't go away. Any solid ideas on how to fix?

It's one of two things, a true hardware problem, in which case you'll have to call applecare or take it to an apple store or debris stuck in the dock connector. Try attaching/un-attaching the dock cable several times to see if you can dislodge any debris that might be there.
Again, it doesn't take much to create a short.

Strange message when unlocking Security and Privacy

Hi guys,
I was going to unlock the Security and Privacy setting on the system preferences and username and password window came written half in spanish half in english: "system preferences esta intentando desbloquear el panel de preferencias Seguridad y Privacidad. Type your password to allow this."
I have not set up my mac to run with spanish so I have no idea why this is happening
Anyone?

IMac - strange message

I have an iMac DV G3 with OS9 and OSX 10.0 was working fine until the other day - it had question mark flashing I started it with software install disc OS9 and didn't realize my daughter had borrowed OSX from school to work on the school newspaper. I bought OSX from the internet and after backing up my photos to a flashdrive last night, installed the OSX 10.0 it said installation was successful then I got this strange message on the screen it starts with "panic(cpu0): unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerMac2,1" bunch of other stuff then ends with panic: We are hanging here...
Can someone please help me with this. Thanks much.

It strikes me that a good option at this point, given the OS issues and kernel panics at start-up, may be to beg or borrow another Firewire equipped Mac if possible, to boot the iMac CRT into Target Disc Mode, and to copy across the data from the iMacs HD to a folder on the other computer.
THis might save a lot of time if the kernel panic is actually occurring because of a hardware problem of some kind. Once you had done so you could go on to steps like erasing the HD etc much more safely.
That way the data would be "safe" and people could then try and sort out the other problems with less concern about losing things that matter.
Marie, just about any Mac from the time of the iMac G3 onwards would be able to do this, as long as it has enough free HD space to cope with your data. Know anyone with an iBook or a MacBook or such who would be prepared to help you with such a thing? Is there a local Apple user group, or perhaps a school, who could perhaps help out in this fashion?

I cannot receive phone calls or messages when iPhone screen is locked

Hello,
i have an iPhone 5.
i Am unable to receive phone calls or text messages when my screen is locked. When I unlock the screen the missed call doesn't even appear so I have no idea anyone has called me. Text messages come through at about 12:30am every night.
i Have tried EVERYTHING I could find in forums and Apple trouble shooting. This is my last resort other than sending it to Apple.
iit is as if "do not disturb" is stuck on, but it isn't.
i Have tried:
changing all all do not disturb settings.
checked call forwarding etc.
checked mute
my silent button is not on.
i have reset every setting and then even reset the phone and manually transferred everything back onto it rather than restore It from previous back ups.
oout it in recovery mode.
i Have no success with any.
the weird part is when I first lock the screen and try to call it, it does ring. But if I give it a minute or more it won't ring.
does anyone have any ideas or anything that may help?

I Have also checked blocked numbers and swapped SIM cards from a completely different carrier so it's not the carrier either

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Works fine with an older Safari Version. Web link, call doodle app. You could see the website in the backround working but safari crashes after clicking on the error window. Any suggestions?

Turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

Strange messages

Lately I've been seeing what look like email messages coming across the upper corner of my monitor.
The only one I was able to remember part of read, "Pioneer working on after market car".
Couldn't read the rest as it disappears quickly.
The little box is exactly the same as when an email is coming in.
I also recall one having to do with iTunes.
I've looked in my mail box and download folder, but these messages don't appear in either.
I don't recall these happening in the past, seems as though they started about couple of weeks ago.
I have my download preference set to Mac App Store.
I only change it when I'm downloading an application that requires me to change to Anywhere.
I then go back to Mac App Store.
Can anyone shed any light on these strange messages that can't be viewed after they disappear off the screen?

It sounds like you are seeing Notifications. In the top right corner of your screen do you see the icon in the graphic below:
If you click on it it should show the various Notifications you have received. Dragging down from the top of the grey panel allows you to turn it off, if you wish:

The screen on my iPad is frozen. The hard reset does not reboot the iPad. I have an iCloud error message on the screen. That I can't get rid of.

Thank you. I had tried this before with no success. However, I tried it again. The problem is I don't know who to reboot without a keyboard. I can't get to the on screen key board with the screen locked up.
The error message I get is " iCloud Backup This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when the iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi" at the bottom of the message is an OK button.
Now with the iPad removed from the keyboard:the screen will stay lit for about 5 seconds and then go blank. Turning power off and on brings up a blank screen with the iCloud message and the slide to unlock. Touching the OK button causes a brief flutter of the button. Trying to slide the slide to unlock accomplishes nothing, since it won't slide.
The battery was at 49% when the problem occurred. I have since recharged the battery to 100%. I tried earlier to reboot with the iPad connected to AC.

You mean you have a passcode you've forgotten? iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...
If you mean the screen doesn't respond to touch, then try this:
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

Iphone 2g turns off itself while on hibernate/unlock screen

Hey guys, I recently bought a Iphone 2g 8gb. Was very happy... but as i connected it the first time to my computer and opened the itunes it asked me for a update (3.1.2 to 3.1.3) I did so... after the update was done i could not access my sim card, it showed the message that the SIM CARD IS NOT SUPPORTED ETC... so i decided to downgrade it to my pevious ios that is 3.1.2... did so, again recieved the same message that the SIM CARD IS NOT SUPPORTED ETC... after i went to one of the forum they gave me the process called BLACKRA1N... i did so... and it worked.
The iphone accepted my SIM CARD, but suddenly i noticed that my cell turns off by itself after i put it into the hibernate/unlock screen! It takes hardly about 5 minutes to do this and sometimes even less than that, Even my battery was full too!! but it did not turn off when it is connected to the computer or charger!
now everytime i put it into the HIBERNATE/UNLOCK screen it does the same thing! I tried to Restore it back but it did the same action!
Really worried! Please HELPP!!!

I just purchased a 4s 16G two weeks ago, I experienced the same problem. Sometimes in my pocket, sometimes on my console table. Pressed home button, nothing happened; pressed power button, nothing happened; pressed both then only the the apple appeared. Battery still 38%, sometimes 86%. Is this a common 4s defect by apple?

Email dont working on 8130 strange message?

i got a strange message the other day it said that i have to renew my email account or something (i wish i saved the message) it said something about inputting my user name and password but i forgot my user name since i never used it is there anyway to find the user name and is there any way to fix this problem? i want my email im paying for it!

Music player and unlock screen

Is there a way to stop the music player from coming up on the unlock screen when playing music via bluetooth? I want to be able to see the date and time, not the music player, while still playing music via bluetooth.
I have an iPhone 4.

I had the same problem and did a reboot, for me that solved the problem.
How to reboot your iPhone:
1. Hold down the Home button (that’s the big button in the lower front) and the Sleep / Wake button (that’s the little button on the top right) down.
2. Keep holding until you see the screen go black and then the Apple logo appear.
3. Voila! Your iPhone has been rebooted. Resume your blissful life and forget that anything bad happened with your iPhone.

Can you re-show push notifications for messages after unlocking iPhone?

Is it possible to re-show push notifications for messages after unlocking an iPhone? If I open my phone, but want to re-see the same message push notifications after closing my phone would that be possible? In other words is there a way to customize a lock screen or to restore it?

Confirmed. I did upgrade my phone and then "restore from backup" rather than setting up a new phone.
Would setting up as a new phone delete my extra carrier profiles, or are these untouched? I could try that as well.
