If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Web player randomly cut off sound and stop playing after about 5 seconds.

My web player cut off the sound and stops after about 5 seconds. The only way to get it to work again without refreshing the page it to select a different time periode in the time bar. Also it happens more often at the first 25% of the movie.
I am using safari with add block on a Macbook pro retina (if this helps with the issue).
What can I do to solve this.

Just bought a new audigy 2zs and have been having many troubles, today i noticed that sounds are often missing, popping, or cut off quickly when heard. I figured this card was an upgrade from my SB li've! But it seems to have reduced the FPS and sound quality dramatically.
any suggestions?
i have a clean xp install as well as latest drivers.

It may be worth doing a clean install, in another PCI slot, in case of any conflict. Also make sure you disable/close all programs running in the background.

8310 cuts off for a moment then restarts

While using my new 8310, suddenly the screen will go blank and the LED will turn red. Then the screen comes on but it is completely blank, the hour glass then appears and turns a moment, then the screen goes back to where I had been. Any ideas?

ITunes cuts off some of my songs at exactly 3 minutes 6 seconds.

I have a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion with up to date updates. Strangely, the songs which used to play right through, now stop at exactly 3 minutes and 6 seconds. The songs also cut off when I play then through my iPhone 4 after sycing.
When I play the songs through VLC Media Player via Finder, they play right through perfectly.
I wonder whether this is a fault that's come about through one of the Mountain Lion updates recently.
I've seen a lot of posts with people's songs being cut off short but none make reference to the exact cut off time of 3 minutes, 6 seconds.
I have gone into Get Info for the songs in iTunes and specified the ending time of each song to the song's actual length but they still stop at 3 minutes 6 seconds. Most of my songs play through fine - it's just a bizarre handful.
I hope there's a workaround and would appreciate a solution.

I would be concerned too if some of my songs were not playing all the way through in iTunes. Thank you for all the details you provided. You have gone through some really good troubleshooting steps already.
The next thing I recommend is checking to see if any third-party plug-ins could be causing the problem. You can find the steps to do that in this article:

Apple TV cuts off when open Macbook. WHY IS THIS STILL AN ISSUE!!

The issue is not fixed with Apple and it's really annoying. It affects all devices. Here is what I have found so far and I'm pulling my hair out. APPLE!! why have you not had a fix for this yet? You come out with the latest and greatest devices but you can not keep what you already have running? Come on this is frustrating. Look at the number of times this question has been asked on here, heck look at the number of views its unreal at over 10,000. This is a huge issue and should be worked on ASAP. At least make us think you are trying to fix it. If there is some magical fix I have not been able to find it.
And because many people while trying to help ask the same questions to all these post I will try to answer all the typical questions now to save some time.
- Yes, I have tried it with Itunes off and it still does it so it is not an Itunes issue.
- No, I am not watching a movie from my Macbook to ATV and I shut the lid etc. Nothing is streaming from the Macbook to the TV when I have the issue.
- The ATV works perfectly fine so long as the Macbook lid stays closed or the WiFi is shut off.
- Yes, I have been able to watch ATV while the Macbook was open, Itunes both on and off, WiFi on and ATV played fine. The issue seems to be intermittent but now has gotten worse.
- It has done the same thing with two completely different routers.
- iCloud off - no change
- Homeshare off - no change
- iTunes off - no change
- I turned off Wifi while no show was playing on ATV. Turned WiFi back on then started a show on ATV while the lid was open. Show ran fine. I turned off WiFi on MB show still ran fine. I turned WiFi back on and it killed it. ATV went back to main menu. Tried to restart show without making any changes while lid open and show would not play.
- Logged out of iTunes account on ATV, tried to watch show went back to main menu, would not play.

If I turn off the WiFi connection on my MBP then the ATV Airplay on my phone works just fine. The audio will play to my ATV and will not switch back. The second I turn WiFi back on it kills the Audio and the phone goes back to normal mode. It does it right in front of my eyes. So something is causing it to switch back overriding it but it is not iTunes. Also one other thing I noticed if I try to force it by hitting the airplay button every time it try's to switch back the podcast info will flash on the ATV for a second like it is trying then it kills it and goes back to the phone.
3. ATV running a show and I open my Macbook, cuts off goes back to main screen even when itunes is off. If I close the lid and try it right away it will still go back to menu. If I try to select a program it will not play at all. Just flashes and goes back to main screen. NOW to add insult to injury I confirmed all of this then went along my menu bar at the bottom confirming everything was off and testing ATV every few until it started working. So I started turning everything back on one at a time opened and shut lid until ATV cut back to menu and nothing. Show has been running for last 5 minuets with out a hitch. Screen cut off

Hi, since upgrading to 4.1 having loads of problems which I was just about to deal with but I've just noticed something else now, the top line of info is half cut off and if I then touch on i.e. the phone button at the bottom and then the home button to come back out to the main screen the the labels along the bottom buttons are now cut off, it would appear the resolution of my screen has changed. Have no idea how! Can anyone help?

My iTunes randomly cuts off songs at the end. I've tried to create a new library and reimport my old library, but to no avail. Can anyone help? :)?

Hi, I am using a MacBook Pro, and downloaded the new iTunes update. I have OS X Lion 10.7.4. It all of sudden is randomly cutting off some songs before the very end of the song. I've tried to read past posts and create new libraries and re-import the old one, but it doesn't seem to help. It is not all of my purchased songs, nor is it all of my downloaded from CD songs, it's just a particularly random set of songs (I haven't checked them all, but it happens every 5 songs or so when I play the whole library on shuffle). This never happened to me before with other versions of iTunes, and when I called the support line the guy says he has never heard of this problem before... !
I have 3000 songs, so I don't want to manually bring each one in again. I am also not super technologically brilliant, so if you have had this problem too and have a simple answer, please help !!!

I have a similar problem with Itunes - the funny thing is it only does it on my Mac and not my PC running Windows 7 - seems strange the Apple software runs better on a Windows computer. There are other posts about this here on the forums that have been running for two years with no solution - and I was just about to buy a new Ipod - oh well.

Songs Cut Off

Quicktime has been cutting off the last 15-20 seconds of a song sometimes. I tried a bunch of .mp3 songs. Any ideas as to what the deal is? And how to get back on track? I haven't tried anything to resolve the situation other than posting on this forum.

I have been experiencing the same problem on our ancient 5GB pods. For some songs, but not all, deleting them from the itunes library and then from the iPod, followed by adding the song to the library from a backup disk will fix the problem. What is really weird is that a song will play fine on one iPod but not on the other and songs that have worked fine will start cutting out early. It has happened to both mp3 and aac files though thankfully not to any purchased songs (yet).
I've tried doing a restore, as well as using disk utility to totally erase the ipod and then restoring the software. The firmware for our iPods is still at 1.5 for ours so I think the problem may lie in the changes made when we got the "Shuffle Songs" on the main menu. It certainly sounds like a firmware problem to me.

Song titles are getting cut off for some reason

I never had this problem before but for some reason the last few songs I have imported and encoded into AAC have the titles cut off after (I guess) a certain amount of characters. This has never been a problem before. Is there a preference that I need to change? I'm running 7.0.1.8 for Windows.
I have many other songs with longer titles than the latest I have uploaded. This is a strange new occurence.

try doing a soft reset. push and hold the home button and power button at the same time until the phone powers off completely. only release the buttons when you see the white apple pop back up on the screen if this doesn't work you will likely have to do a complete factory reset which can be found in general settings of the phone. hope this helps!

Erratic sound cut-offs with rDAC (external DAC) on USB

I use an external digital to analog converter named "Arcam rDAC" for playing my iTunes and DVD playback sounds from my Mac Mini to a High-End Amplifier in my living room. The DAC is connected to the USB port and installs itself as a external soundcard. If I'm playing - lets say music with iTunes - it erratically cut-off the sound playback from zero to tree times a day. The only solution to get the sound back is to unplug the USB cable and plug it in again.
I'm not sure if this is really a problem with my Mac mini or rather a software problem with OS 10.6.5.
Does anybody have an idea?
(By the way: All volume outputs are set to 100%, EQ, sound correction and so on in iTunes are off and Audio-MIDI-Setup is at 44100,0Hz/24Bit.)

OK, there's only a couple more things for you to try on your own before involving Arcam and Apple. First thing you can try is different USB ports on the mini. I'm not sure about your mini, but it has been true of past versions that not all USB ports are created equal. Some ports have been "native" ports driven directly by the HCI whereas others have been based on a hub, meaning a hub IC internal to the mini and soldered onto the motherboard. So the rDAC may work better from some ports than others.
The other things I would ask is, what length USB cable is in use? Is it a conventional length, like 1.8m or so? Or is it a long cable run? If the cable is inordinately long, you can try shortening it to see if that helps. If it does, then you are left to try and move the mini and rDAC closer together, or else perhaps use shorter sections of cable and then hubs in between to link the mini and the rDAC.

Sounds cut off upon patch change

I have a 2009 MBP 2.4ghz dual core, 4GB RAM. Using 2 controllers plugged in via USB. 1/8" audio line from computer to PA.
I just upgraded to Maountain Lion and MS3. I also am using sounds from Omnisphere 1.5.
I have created a Concert. Within this concert I have a set for each song.
The most channel strips that I have for a patch is 3, with one sound assigned to one controller and 2 layered onto another.
These sounds are chosen from either the MS3 sound list (some from the legacy list) or from Omnisphere. The most sounds I have layered in Omnisphere is 2. I am not using any sequencing or arpeggiators.
I have programmed a DP2 pedal to change from one patch to the next.
Now to the troubles.
When I change patches, the sound from the previous patch gets cut off. This does not happen with all of the patches though. It seems to happen randomly. Or at least it appears that way. Not sure if there are certain sounds that are buggy this way.
The other problem I have is when I change patches, sometimes I am getting a delay before the sounds become available. Sometimes when the sounds become available they will break up when I play them.
When I only use the Omnisphere plug-in as my interface and only use Omnisphere sounds I do not get this problem.
I don't think that I am really doing much with the amount of sounds and layering that is possible.
Could it be that my computer is not up to snuff to run the software? Is it the connectivity?
I have a gig in a couple weeks and would like to figure this out as soon as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disabling Omnisphere, just for a test, to see if the problem is occurring with just the built-in plug-ins? Another thing to try, if you haven't already done so go ahead and display the CPU meter.. you to this in the app's Display preference pane. Then double click on the CPU side of the meter in the toolbar. This will open a CPU monitoring window... and you can instantly see how much CPU each plug-in is using... assuming it's a CPU overload that's causing it.
Not sure if this is how you are using it, but if for instance you play something with Patch A and when you switch to Patch B you're either holding sustain or you want the sound to crossover into Patch B so it tails nicely... at this point you have both Patch A and Patch B active at the same time. If both those patches have 2 Omnispheres you actually talking about 4. Maybe this isn't exactly what you're doing, but you get the idea.
Can you stand to have a slightly bugger size? Maybe try 256. Oh, and definately quit all other apps and perhaps turn off airport.
