Strange msg in log file what is this ?

I have deployed my first Lion server that runs on Macmini.
The server is just a standalone server and no LDAP or AD etc.
Just mail, adressbok, ical, web, wiki, filesharing and dns running.
system logfile is full with this section every 10sec. ??

I found this in another thread:
sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.jabber.jabberd_notification.plist
Reboot server and now push works fine again.
but this error still comes upp in server log:

In what regard are you referring to? Are you experiencing this every time you are trying to convert your pdf? Have you tried other pdf's?
A few other questions:
What is the file size? (there is a 100 MB limit)
What is the original doc type of the pdf?
What are you converting it to? excel? word?

It seems to be new in SP 2013 that when monitoring the ULS logs there are large instances of the phrase

Can someone advise as to the exact meaning of this? There are extremely few references on the net, only a few examples of people posting their ULS entries for unrelated questions.
Seems a bit odd as it is extremely common in our logs - kind of a bummer as it must contribute a measurable amount to log file size bloat.

I’ve found what it’s doing but not how to modify the behavior. In the Microsoft.SharePoint.Diagnostics.ULS class there is a private method called “HandleLoggingGaps”.
This method is called before trace data is sent to the log in several of the core logging methods. When called, it checks both the LastSkippedTraceTime value and the last traced time in the current correlation context plus a variable called MaxLoggingGap
against the current date/time.
The MaxLoggingGap value is set by default to 50 milliseconds but there is an environment variable “_ULS_MAX_LOGGING_GAP_IN_MILLISECONDS_” that it will use instead
if that variable contains a value. This would seem to indicate that the gap time is configurable but I have yet to find the setting that will do so. I did some reflecting of the powershell cmdlets but so far not found any direct correlation (although
EventLogFloodProtectionQuietPeriod and EventLogFloodProtectionNotifyInterval in the set-spdiagnosticconfig cmdlet look promising).

Kernel Panic/Log file: what does it mean?

Hi,
I got the following Kernel Panic, but can't get a clue of what the log file is telling me. I guess it is related to a motherboard failure, but I'm not sure.
At the time the Kernel panic occured, my iBook wasn't doing much, but running Firefox 2.0.0.16, Airport Extreme and iPhoto 4.0.3. No USB device but a Logitech Mice was connected.

Thanks for your answers. They do confirm my worth fears, since I do sometime have to start, pressing the palmrest below the Option-Command keys, or get the Blue Screen of Death. Since Apple has interrupted its Logic Board Replacement Programm, I guess there not much I can do, but to decide if I should buy an new Mac or not. My previous iBook, a G3, also died, slowly but surely, because of a logic board failure.
I'm really found of apple products, but I cannot afford just throwing my money away every two or three years. Sadly, I'm afraid I'll have to change side, and buy a Bill Gates friendly laptop.

Log File Error - Is this my Responsibility?

Hi server admin people,
I'm a customer who is trying to kill an application hosted by
my ISP. I've removed and deleted all related directories and files
on my ISP's server and told them I don't need ColdFusion support
anymore. However, they want to continue charging me because their
server is getting bogged down by calls to a cfm page that no longer
exists. The error log file is below. I don't know how to fix the
problem. Should I have to? I guess my expectation would be that
this is some attack my ISP should know how to handle. Greatly

If you make *any* request for *any* ColdFusion file {.cfm,
.cfc, .cfr,
etc} on *any* web site on a web server configured with

will get a ColdFusion error by default.
The default behavior is for the Web Server to handle in such

can
change this, but that can turn of some of ColdFusion's
functionality.

I have a question.... I Downloaded a file(QT) The other day... it plays for a short time and then stops. it does not get to the end of the file... and then other time when i download it i get the following message.. " the buffer had been detected(then it names the QT program and where it is on my HD) then it goes on to tell me that it has corrupted the internal state of the program and then it tells me that it cannot continue and must be shut down"
i have uninstalled and re installed same thing... other files work but this one does not.... i have also gone to major sites(yahoo) and there it is.. the big question mark(when they have a movile trailer or something to look at....
does anyone have any ideas?

I only use my PC for a few tasks each week and both Flash and QuickTime seem to not cause any troubles when I browse using IE 7 on it.
QuickTime 7.1 may have been the first release that acknowledged the Flash security issues and Apple "turned off" Flash media in any default install (local files or web based files).
The "browser" options for Flash Media have always been set to "off" in any QuickTime install so end users must have "enabled" it via the QT Control Panel. It's found in MIME Settings (version 6) or File Types in version 7.
An "additional" layer of security is that, in version 7.1.3, Flash media is also disabled by default install of QuickTime (both browser and local files) and PC and Mac users must "enable" Flash media (Control Panel or System Preferences) before Flash formats can be viewed in any QuickTime Player window or in any browser.
QuickTime 4 introduced Flash media to QuickTime (back when it was owned by Macromedia). Now that Adobe has purchased out Macromedia Flash support in QuickTime may move from its current limits of "version 5, or lower" to more recent releases of Flash.
Since I regularly use Flash media in many of my QuickTime files I welcome Adobe's purchase and look forward to a better partnership and more features for QuickTime Pro users.

"Kernel Panic" with log file: what could be the cause...?

Today I had my 3th "kernel panic" if I'm right.
I have an IbookG4 1,42GHz.
I've already post my problem, with log, on a dutch Apple forum but the people don't know what the log means. The problem can't be new hardware (more memory) because I haven't installed more and new hardware except that I have an external Harddrive.
One people suggest that I reset my PRAM, NVRAM and PMU and control my HD. That I have done but if the problem is solved, I don't know.
What I was doing the last 2 times when a "kernel panic" occured: I was working with VectorDesigner. The last time, that program was the only one open. Is it possible that my laptop can't cope with that grafic program, the laptop gets overload and crashes?
Also, when I restart the laptop after the "kernel panic", the laptop ask to push on a button to send a paper to Apple, but if I do so It seems to do nothing. So has it send a paper, I don't know.

Missing songs: half of the songs in my library have suddenly become unplayable because iTunes "cannot locate original file" whats caused this and how do i fix it?

Its really irritating having all my songs there one day and having half of them go missing the next and i haven't done anything to cause the files to be lost, on top of that it's completely randomised in what songs have gone missing as it is not whole albums, individual songs from different albums are going missing and it's telling me to find the files, which i have no idea where to look or what to do, it has rendered iTunes completely useless for me. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Slapd.log errors - what is this error please?

I keep seeing the following sorts of errors in the LDAP log :

I think this is part of a problem where 10.4 clients don't log out completely from 10.4 server.

i compressed a file which is "com.apple.ImageCaptureNotifications.DeviceDiscoveryDatabase.501" to zip still couldn't open it and it is not possible to permanently delete it, so what is it? which folder does it belong to? how could i have gotten it?

My guess by the name is that it is a database of image capture notifications for the first user of the Mac (501).
If it is a database, it would likely open with sqlite3. If you don't know anything about databases, then just opening it with sqlite3 won't get you far.

My HF router log files are show this is this normal ?

I can't get why is keeps happening i have no VOIP on HF nothing nodda got new router and antenna and this is still doing it we have try everything verizon and me i am stuck with this somehow. this shows up in the router logs.

After trying a few other remedies, the tech at Apple Care suggested I reinstall Lion.

I have not had the error message since, even after importing about a dozen CDs and burning a couple playlists.
This seems to be the fix.

What is online redo log files???

I m bit confused with redo log files.what is need of back up of redo log files?????As i m new in the Basis please tell me i always get confused with redo log files and archive files.

In Oracle you have a number of online redo log files.
In an typical SAP installation you have two directories:
origlogA and origlogB
origlogA contains online redo log 1 and 3 and
origlogB contains online redo log 2 and 4.
In most installation you also have mirrlogA and mirrlogB, which the name tells, is mirrors of origlogA and origlogB.
Now, the online redo logs are circular,
so when 1 gets full oracle jumps to number 2.
At the same time oracle's archiver process starts to copy
online redo log number 1 to a file on disk.
This files are also known as archive redo logs.
In an recovery situation you might do with just the online redo logs,
but usually a combination of both online and archive redo logs is needed.
During database backup, you also backup the online redo logs
You also need to backup (backup twice then delete) archive redo logs.
the archive redo logs are your way back from the restored database to the last transaction of the database.
If one archive redo log is missing, you have to stop you recovery there and loose the rest of the transactions done in the database.
