Strange named files on pendrive in spotlight and trashes folder?

I noticed a strange files on my pen-drive..
I tried formatting my pendrive and they still copy themselves on the pendrive some how.
Here is a screenshot of those files -

Sometimes resetting an Apple ID password can help > Apple - My Apple ID
If that doesn't help, from the iTunes menu bar click Store > Sign Out
Restart the Mac, launch iTunes then sign in again.

My deleted files do not go into the Trash Folder

Deleted emails do not go into the Trash Folder even though my configurations are correct and I have selected Trash Folder for my deleted files. Is something wrong with TB? This just started happening recently.
Also the auto-fill is not working correctly. When I start to type an email addr in Compose, non-related email addrs appear. I know that TB uses the 'within' range as opposed to 'starts with' but that still does not explain my problem. If I enter 'h' into the To: field, email addresses that do not contain the letter h anywhere (first name, last name, email addr, etc.) appear.

How can I Delete files from LTR5 to move to Trash On OS 10.8.4?

my set up is
mac 0s 10.8.4 using mac book pro 2.7 GHZ with 16GB having Lacie usb 3 thunderbolt external drive storing photos and LTR 5 catalogue to do my LTR processing of 24 mg files from D600 SLR
I have the LTR5 installed and am using it only to find out cannot move file(s) to Trashcan( MAC latest version) that doesn’t support the volume I have the photo files in. LTR5 only will permanently delete them via LTR5 only . Its an annoying step to rid the file – Is this a Bug? LTR 4 moves file(s) directly to Trash with no issues. The other LTR versions had no problem .
I don’t recall LTR5Beta having this issue when trying to move file to trash. I was beta tester .
LTR dialogue also says , file could not be moved to Trash folder as volume isnt supported . I have checked all preference panes to see if i can open up the trash to LTR5 discarded Files from my lacie drive where they are stored . Often I'll move files to trash then retrieve later from trash to import back into catalogue.
It was suggested trying new “test” catalogue .So. I created new catalogue which acted same way; failure to move files to trash.
As result , I have created a ” new” Trash folder within LTR5 to move discarded Files into temporary holding space; then, empty the folder contents within LTR5 as needed.
It’s awkward , inefficient . But, it is a temporary solution in holding files until its decided to permanently delete files. This is a short term solution till Issue is corrected.
Does anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

This was a first for me being a beta tester for LTR5 . I do wonder when I bought the upgrade and Downloaded LTR5 that bug appeared beacuse of being a beta tester .
Trying to rule out all sorts of things here :
Wonder if doing a an uninstall and doing a reinstall will help? Would it be a realistic painless step?
Yesterday I worked on LTR editing files from Hard drive many hours with bug active .
Then all of sudden it was working ( Th1s is 3rd time its happened). If I close LTR5 then reopen later bug appears again. I cant yet isolate the cause for files to move and be trashed normallly! Earlier I have trashed prefs . Also,creating test catalogues didnt work . Tried other older drives; that failed. Will try internal drive.
LTR 4 and earlier was bugfree so this is first time i have encountered a stubborn bug . Its as bad as mosquitoes buzzing.
Wonder if the reinstall is best guaranteed solution other than uncheck my permissions.?

'Recovered Files' in my iMac Trash folder

I have iMac that was upgraded to Mavericks in January. But only recently I have been seeing a folder, called 'Recovered Files', suddenly showing up in the Trash folder every day, despite deleting it daily. This folder contains file called 'MerpAD Office365'. I have no idea what this file is, and am unable to open it after restoring it to my desktop. What is this file, where does it come from, what is it for, what automatic process is putting it into my Trash folder, and why? Is it some sort of "secret" file? A forum member once said last year to just ignore it because it is harmless. Well, if someone knows that it's harmless, why is there so much secrecy about it?! Any chance of an answer to this question directly from Apple, because it seems to me the user community has been frustrated long enough on the whys and wherefores behind this Recovered-Files-in-Trash issue.

Office365 in the title would suggest it is something to do with Microsoft Office, if you have the latest version.
Recovered Files in the Trash are files that the OS puts there at restart, if it discovers a file that hasn't been "put away" properly.
There is no secrecy. It's just OS X doing housekeeping. If you want to ask someone, ask Microsoft why their apps aren't tidying up after themselves.

You can always deauthorize all your machines from your store account page — just log in and view your account settings and there's a button to deauth all your machines. Which just means for the other machines, it will ask you for your store ID / password the next time you play a purchased song.
So, let's try the filter experiment.
On the start menu, click on "run". in the space it provides enter "regedit" without the quotes. This will open the registry editor.
Find the heading HKEYLOCALMACHINE. Click on it.
Find the heading SYSTEM inside it. Click on it.
Find the heading CurrentControlSet. Click
Find the heading Control. Click
Find the heading Class. Click
Find the heading that begins {4D36E965- Click
Go up to the Registry menu and select "Export Registry File... command. Make sure the "Selected Branch" radio button is checked and save that off somewhere that you can find it.
Delete the key named LowerFilter.
Select the key named UpperFilter, right click, select "modify". Then edit the text in the dialog to just say "GEARAspiWDM" followed by hitting the return key, the return after the word is important.
Then reboot, and see what iTunes does.
To get the system back to its previous state. Run Regedit again and use the Registry menu -> Import Registry File... command and select the file that you saved off in the first section.
I'm particularly interested in getting rid of the "AFS2K" driver in the chain — that's a old driver from a company that hasn't existed in years.

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.

Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Naming files Log and Transfer'd from a card

I'm still experimenting with workflow after starting to capture on an AVHCD card instead of tape.
I'm getting the shots into FCP ok, and have worked out how to assemble them so it's like working off tape rather than wading endlessy through scores of files.
But this requires renaming the files - which I'd have wanted to do anyway.
For back-up I'm then copying the raw contents of the card to a small drive before deleting to make room for new shots. So these files still have those strange numbered names that the camera makes.
At some point I will also empty the FCP scratch discs, at which time the card copy on the small drive will become my only source. So if I ever have to rebuild the project I'll need to relink to these.
In the old days we just redigitised the tapes and all was well, but I'm not sure what will happen when I try to re-transfer the AVCHD data from the small drive - as the file names now will be different. I presume I'll have to relink manually, which could be quite a pain and could invlolve a lot of trial and error.
I assume FCD can't reference some code which remains unchanged when you rename by any chance?
Is there something I should be doing that I'm not?
(Thinking now I should have been more careful to create uniqle 'reel' names - oh well)

Spectacular fail.
As I feared, when I try to relink the offline media, FCP is looking for the names I created in the browser - which in the old days would have been the names I created in the Log and Capture window when digitising from tape (EG London GVs) and therefore consistent, whereas the names on the card back-up disc are still the names that the camera created (EG M2000127).
I've tried finding the first and last clips and linking, but still FCP tellls me that the attributes don't match, so I've plainly got the wrong ones.
I reckon that if I still had the camera names in the browser it would find them ok, but I don't.
What does everyone else do? The only thing I can think of is to copy all the files after Transferring them in, and then renaming the dupes, but this would double the data storage, and I'm not even sure it would work.
I have the raw footage on disc and it will play just fine. And I have a healthy FCP project. Shurely they will want to dance?

Spotlight and RAW files

I need to find on my disks all the raw files with shoting date greater (=> ) of november 7th 2006. How is it possible? i have read that spotlight can use the exif data but.... i need help.

Afraid mine doesn't have that information in the metadata, therefore it is not indexed by Spotlight. To see exactly which EXIF data has made it into the metadata for the file you can use Terminal. Launch Terminal from your Utilities folder, then type this:
mdls
a space, and drag the file into the Terminal window and drop it. You will see all the metadata entries for that file. It will look something like this:

and so on. If there is no entry for focal length, then you are out of luck. My camera's raw format is not supported in Leopard, so the raw file entries are pretty general. With jpegs the metadata includes Aperture and FNumber and FocalLength. You can only search for things that are included in the metadata.

Spotlight and Cmd-O to open a file cause machine to freeze

I have reinstalled Tiger and this continues to happen. Can open files by dbl click in filer window, but the spotlight failure is troublesome. Just get the beachball if I search or use Cmd-O to try to open a file from within an app.
This happens both on G4 1GHz and 1.67 GHz.
Grateful for any ideas.

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, move these files to the Desktop.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.spotlight.plist

On lightroom 5.6 (mac) message says "the file named _dsc0189.Nef could not be moved to trash folder. what do I do besides manually search and move hundreds of files?

SWF problem in Dreamweaver CS3 and strange Script file

Hi folks, I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and tried to upload a
SWF file today. The SWF includes three buttons, one for video,
another for audio and one for text. Before loading up to DW all
three parts played fine. But when I uploaded to DW and my site, the
video fails to play. A Script file, and another file downloaded I
am not sure what I am supposed to do with this script file. The
script file is called The audio and text part works fine, but the
video will not play. I am not sure why this is, but when I uploaded
the file to Dreamweaver there was a Script file called
AC_RunActiveContent.js that automatically downloaded along with a
file called .htaccess
The other file is called called .htaccess
I uploaded both files to my server, but that did not help the
video play. I tried pasting the AC_RunActiveContent.js code into my
page and uploading, but that did not help the video play either; I
just got code at the bottom of my page.
I have viewed the page in Mozilla, IE7 and Flock, but still I
cannot play the video.
Does anyone have any idea how to make the video play in
Dreamweaver; what I am supposed to do with these two code files?
For those interested in the AC_RunActiveContent.js code, I
will post below. Please try to explain simply because I am not so
tech savvy.
