Strange Problem - Iview not shown in PCD

Hi Experts
I am facing a strange problem .
I have a PAGE and Inside which it has an IVIEW ( a BW IView ) ... I am abel to edit iView properties inside the page . but... I am not abel to locate the IView in the PCD .
I tried the following
1)found delta links for the page ..I saw iview embedded under page in the delta link view ..when i right clicked the iView i see "view properties" I am not seeing "locate in portal catalog" in the right click menu.
2) I tried searching the entire PCD by the iView ID .I didnt find any...
is the IView corrupted ? or hidden in the PCD ? if so how to unhide it ?
I need to find it out as the BW iView added to the page is displaying the report at all .
any help please ?

Hi,
   You shouldn't click on the iView displayed under the page. But on the only iView displayed as Source. Then Locate option will appear.
If page is A and iView is B, trace link will be

iView B (Click on this and then locate)

Page A
-- iVIew B (Don't click on this)
If Source itself doesn't appear, then it couldn't be delta linked iView but copied one. In that case, you may have to edit iView from inside page only. Select iView under page and click Edit.

Today morning-on i started encountering a strange problem of tomcat not showing the pages in the browser.
When i startup the tomcat it starts up fine without any warnings or alert messages.
But when i access the web pages/jsps that i want to view, it is showing a blank white page without any trail for me to findout what went wrong.

Of course this is the message of a freshly installed server, as all the known tricks to show up the pages failed, i did for more than 4 times the reinstallation of tomcat.the version i am using is 4.1.24.I have already put the same server with apache on window OS in the production server.Now the testing is going on for the site.
How can i make the tomcat work properly to show the pages smoothly.Any developer friend can please help me?

Iview not shown in separate window using quicklink

Hello,
I created a new SAP BSP IView ans set the value of parameter 'Launch in a New Window' to 'Display in Separate Window'.
I also put a value in parameter 'Quick Link' : myquicklink
When i call my iview directly (https://www.myserver.com/irj/portal/myquicklink) the iview is shown in the portal frame instead of a new window..
When i select the iview in the portal menu, the iview is shown in a separate window.
Is it standard behaviour that the iview is not shown in a separate window using the quicklink?

Hi Joris,
the 'open in new window' is a relative setting to the portal framework,
It is normal that you have a new window popping up once logged in
and not when calling directly.

Strange problem: flash not working properly in IE

This is a link to the webpage where is my flash gallery. When
u open the it u will see the gallery on top, little pictures will
appear and will slide to the left. When u click on a small picture,
a big picture will appear of the same little picture. The problem
is that in mozilla firefox and opera for example it works perfectly
but when u open it with interner explorer 7, most of the times when
u click on a small pic, just the window where the big pic should
load shows up, but the pic doesn't load... if u close it and open
it second time it opens. The script is the same for all pics. I
don't understand why it is not working in IE. Anyone with more
experiance should have already faced this problem.. and maybe
figured out why this happens... please help !

I'm also having extreme problems with Flash. I did the
uninstaller thing too, I re-booted over & over again & it's
still not working. I can't view anything that uses Flash!!! It
shows up as being installed on my computer, but all the websites I
go to say "you don't have the new version installed-install now."
There's a link to install, I get the pop up on my toolbar to
install Active-X, but nothing happens.

ICSS B2B Standard SO10 text in problem description not shown in ICSS

Hi all,
we have created a standard text in SO10 which should be determined in the problem description field in a service ticket using standard text determination customizing and an access sequence using a copy of the standard function module.
This works fine in the web UI (and GUI). But the standard text does not appear in e-service. We actually created the standard text for e-service purposes because it serves as a questionnaire to make sure the customers give us all required info.
Does anyone know how the text can be displayed in ICSS application ?

Strange Problem: Cursor not fetching all rows

Hello,
When fetching from a cursor on a PL/SQL block in a stored procedure, the cursor seems to stop in the middle of the loop without an exception. The number of rows the cursor fetches varies from call to call. The same problem repeats in a FOR loop, direct CURSOR open and calling the fetch directly in the FOR loop.
The strangest thing is that I took the code and executed it on an external script and it worked fine.
What can cause the cursor to stop?

Installing Oracle RAC problem: Could not determine /tmp mount point

Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2 whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6) in VMPlayer and according to the tutorial

I am installing Grid infrastructure. I am on step 7 of 10 (verify Grid installation enviroment) and get this error:
"Free Space: Rac2: /tmp"
Cause: Could not determine mount point for location specified.
Action: Ensure location specified is available.
Expected value: n/a
Actual value: n/a
I have checked the free space using the command:
[root@Rac2 /]# df -k /tmp
Output:
Filesystem 1k-blocks used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 30470144 7826952 21070432 28% /
As you see above, the free space is enough, but could not determine mount point for /tmp.
Do any folks understand how to determine the mount point for directory /tmp ?

Hello. I have found the file ./bash_profile under /home/ora11g/ and the file is invisible. However, I edit the file using the command:
[ora11g@Rac2 ~]$ vi /home/ora11g/.bash_profile
I add the 2 lines into the file as below:
TMP=/tmp; export TMP
TMPDIR=$TMP; export TMPDIR
I save the file .bash_profile and reboot Oracle Linux 5.6 and check again on step 7 of 10 in the Installer, but the problem is still not solved.
Can any folk help to solve the strange problem "could not determine mount point for /tmp" ?

Strange problem with drag&drop!!

i have a strange problem but not like the other users with drag&drop in Leopard..
mine is not exactly like this:

i can hold left click and move files but when i need to "drop" them at the .app's window the app rejects the file back! (some of the applications not all!)
what i mean in examples is:
i cannot drag&drop anything in the VLC's player window but i can inside the vlc's "controller" window
i cannot drag&drop a picture in preview
i cannot drag&drop any file in photoshop's new file/empty canvas
i cannot drag&drop a mp3 file in itunes but i can drag&drop a full album folder(only in playlist,not in the player window)!
and i can describe more to show u that it's not about vlc or preview or PS problem, but finder's/leopard problem.
(i thought in the 1st, that it's vlc's problem and i downloaded a lot of versions!)
all the other programs works well, for example i can drag&drop a video to final cut or motion
i can do the same in iMovie (at the space it says"drag&drop media here etc)
and of course i can drag&drop files to desctop,hard disks etc.
i can copy/paste text etc (i can copy/paste texti can copy/paste texti can copy/paste texti can copy/paste text)
i am trying to give you an idea, suggest me what else should i try in order to focus where exactly the problem is!

I disagree. I have tried this since reading your post, on all my VLC versions. It does not work.
You can, however drop a movie onto the VLC icon in the dock. That works fine.
RealPlayer accepts a file dropped on it. I just checked it.
Not all apps accept a file on their output window. Usually only the input window.
i started my windows bootcamp partition before and i saw this works.
and i remember trying VLC in tiger a lot of years before, this was ok.
and yes of course it would be also normal to drop a picture in the photoshop canvas.
so what is not normal here is my problem, if u can help i'm happy if you cannot please don't confuse it more

Hello, starting with today I have a strange problem with Final Cut Pro X: all events are correctly shown in the finder but in FCP-X there`s`none and every time I open it creates a new event. What is wrong?

Here`s the screenshot.
But anyway:
The drive is Makintosh HD from my Macbook and it is shown in the event mediathek and in the projects. Since I`ve recognized this problem I installed FCPX again and consequently the event and project directory created by FCPX is where it should be and it shows all the test events including it`s files.
So what happens? Opening FCPX you see only one event and that a new empty event. All previous events are not shown there even if you can see them in the finder. So if you import again the clips they are in this new event library. After closing correctly FCPX and reopening there again is nothing than an new and empty event. What it does is that it recognized that i.e. there are events with previous numbers and so it creates an new one with the next available counting number.
If you want to open one event from the finder it by clicking to the file it opens FCPX but it says it cannot open the clicked file.

Print option in iview tray not shown

Hi all;
I have a WebDynpro JAVA application embedded in an iview . The iview configuration has its "show Tray" option set to true and the "show Print option" in Tray also turned to true. The problem is that when i navigate to the iview, the print option is never shown in the Tray.
Does anyone know why the Print option in Tray is not shown?

Printing from Web Dynpro for Java is only supported from NWCE and 7.2 onwards, if I remember correctly

Yosemite 10.10.1: Finder/CIFS mount problem: wrong folder count/folders not shown @samba shares

Hello to all,
we have several MacBook Pro (15" MBP Retina 2012/13"MBP Retina 2014) running. After upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 we had one nightmare after the other.
Most problems could be solved with 3rd party software upgrades but there are several problems with the operating system itselve which can not really be called a professional productive system at the moment...
Ok., one thing after the other...here is one of our biggest problems:
After upgrading from Mavericks or Mountain Lion to Yosemite 10.10.1 the CIFS/SMB mounts to our samba 3.x servers, running on Ubuntu Linux LTS 12.04 makes trouble. We could mount the server shares but after browsing with the Finder the beach ball occures and the Finder hangs forever. Sometimes we could not refresh the Finder, killing the process ended in a complete hang-up of the system which ended in a switch off death blow. This is not amusing because we have 30Tb of customer data there, which has to be worked out.
We heard about the SMB3 protocol which will be used per default in Yosemite and so we decided after some testings to upgrate our Ubuntu servers to the latest LSF 14.04. release with samba 4.1.6 installed. There was no message from Apple for this SMB protocol release upgrade, never heard something related to Yosemite (Why?).
Ok, after these server upgrades and disabling most of the Spotlight functions the performance to the CIFS shares was a little bit better as before but now we have another problem with the Finder...if you browse to the shares there are folders missing which have lots of files in it. For example there is a folder with 60 subfolders and 3562 files on the first level in it, the Finder shows 220 files and 15 folders. The Terminal shows a different count with "find . -maxdepth 1 -type d | wc -l" or "find . -maxdepth 1 -type f | wc -l" but there is also a difference to the original file and folder count. It doesn`t matter if the clients are connected via WiFi or Gigabit Ethernet. We have no access problems. We have the same behavior if we set the files and folders to 0777 permissions on the servers. The deletion of the preferences files of the users on the MacBooks does not solve the problem. If we use the "Go To Folder" option and type the path to a folder which is not shown in the Finder you get an result or not. But it is also possible that the result is not correct and there are also still files or subfolders missing.
In my opinion this is a timeout problem and a "special SMB3 protocol interpretation" which is buggy. We have one hint found in /var/log/system.log:
"Jan 23 14:35:49 wsosx33.clients.getcom.de KernelEventAgent[69]: tid 54485244 type 'smbfs', mounted on '/Volumes/customersdata2015', from '//x144067:@srvlxp013.servers.getcom.de/customersdata2015', not responding"
We had no problems with Mavericks at all, we still have no problems with Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate, Windows 2008R2 (native or virtual) or Linux Mint 17/17.1 clients, neither with samba 3.x nor with our actual environment and different newer samba releases.
We believe that this is a big bug in Yosemite, but we cannot go back to Mavericks because of incompatible TimeCapsule backups. Our workarround at the moment is that we have installed Linux Mint on our MacBooks to get 80% of our daily jobs done, rest has to be done with Windows 7 installed over virtualbox @Linux.
We have no clue at the moment how to solve this problem, the samba logs do not give any hint. The access from other operating systems is perfect and very fast, but not with Yosemite. We checked different tips found in the internet but nothing helped.
Does anybody has another idea to get Yosemite working or should we keep Linux Mint until Apple will provide a CIFS/SMB patch and going on with our workaround solution, which is productive at the moment ??? Our staff is not amused and wants one solution and not this workaround with two operating system. We have to decide wether we wait until Apple will get this fixed or we have to switch to Microsoft Windows (which is a No Go for me, but I will not be asked...).

As you can read in my post I talked about CIFS/SMB.
It makes no difference if we mount the share over CIFS or SMB.
Folders with lots of files will not be shown even if we use SMB3 or an older protocol.
As mentioned I believe this is a timeout problem.
Does anybody know how the CIFS/SMB timeout setting in Yosemite could be changed?

I am not able to login to maxnewyork life insurance site while using firefox. I am using firefox 3.6.10 now. Combo boxes are not shown in the some trading websites. I uses noscript2.0.3.3, javaconsol6.0.21, javascript option 1.2.6 and WOT20100908. It creates feeling of inferiority in using Firefox due to these problems.

File not picked up strange problem

I am doing File to file tranfer .
my source dir is AL11 and i am ftp the file to reciver system .
I am encountering strange problem .
Some times my file adapter pick the file and tranfer the files sucessfull and sometimes it does not pick the file . i trying to pick same files always i.e *.txt
in RWB cc it show no error . it gives message polling sucess but no message id in it .
i tried to deacitve and active the adapter , but it is of no use .

Some times file adapter will not pick the file it will be strange u cant find any error regarding it..........i thnik u have proper authorization for AL11 because file adapter is picking the file...
check the processing parameters what is the mode of trasfer is it test or delete.....
better to have NFS at both the ends or take NFS at sender side...

Videos are not shown in any webpage, extensions ok, flash ok, what is the problem?

Safari 6.0.5; most of the videos are not shown in any webpage, only Youtube and a very few amount of sites are working. I've been having the same problem for months. Any Solutions?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

Windows 7 gadgets are not working anymore. Strange problem.

I'm having a strange problem with windows 7 Gadgets, I describe it as follows:
1. Drag and drop a gadget to any part of the windows 7 desktop.
This problem happens with all the gadgets, so you can drag and drop the gadget you prefer.
2. Automatically, something weird happen. You will see TWO COPIES OF THE SAME GADGET PLACED IN THE DESKTOP! One of those copies, is showing the controls to close it, etc. the other copy, doesn't show any controls at all and it is glued to the desktop, you cannot
move it.
3. This happens with all the gadgets you drag and drop to the desktop, all them are duplicated, appearing 2 times.
4. When you restart, windows 7 doesn't remember the gadget, so the gadget will not be there anymore and will disappear.
5. The Fix it 50617 and Fix it 50618 DON'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
6. I did all these steps, and also don't solve the problem.

7. I tried other solution people is talking about in forums, registering the following DLL
    regsvr32 msxml3.dll

8. Restoring the system to the last point, ALSO DONT WORK. The last point was created in November 16th, 2011 and I tried to restore the system to that point and also don't solve the problem.
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

SOLUTION FOUND
This problem is caused by a certain gadget that is presenting incompatibility problems with Windows 7 gadgets, and it's affecting the behaviour of the other gadgets.
SOLUTION TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
1. Uninstall ALL, ALL gadgets in your windows 7, except those that comes by default with windows 7: Clock, Calendar, Money, Puzzle, Presentation (pictures), RSS News
2. To uninstall a gadget press with the right button of the mouse over the desktop, select in the menu Gadgets, then click over the gadget you want to uninstall to select it, then press with the right button of the mouse and select uninstall. Do this for
all the gadgets, except those coming by default with windows 7
3. When the task be finished, restart your computer
4. Now you will see all the gadgets are behaving perfectly, and you can install also new gadgets without problems.
Try to avoid to install gadgets that could show a weird behaviour or incompatibility problems.
