Strange Problem Logging Into Discussions Forums

Lately, I have had trouble logging in to Apple's Discussion Forums. Here's a typical experience:
- I go to the Discussioins forum (I am current logged out)
- I click on Login
- My user name is already filled out.
- I manually enter my password.
- The forum takes me to a "create new account" screen.
- I ignore the "new account" screen and click on the Discussions tab at the top of Apple's website.
- I'm back in the Discussions Forum, but it still shows Login.
- I click on Login and I'm automatically logged in.
Any idea why I'm having this issue?

If you are talking about photoshop.com, anyone who tries will get that error because there is no more photoshop.com. You should have received a bunch of emails about any photos there getting moved to Revel, but you can't use Revel from within the versions of PSE that had photoshop.com:

Problem Logging into only one of many computers

1. I have two desktop computers. One is hard wired to a linksys router and works great. The other desktop that has a problem logging into my email account. See (5) below. 2. First you must know that I also have an apple mac that is connected via the Router and it also works fine running OSX. 3. I have a Dell Laptop running Vista connected via the Router that runs fine. 4. Have another Dell Laptop running Win 7 is connected via the Router that runs fine. 5. I have this desktop running Win XP pro that is my problem. This is how the problem goes: I get to what appears to the correct login page; Type in the correct user and PW info; execute by clicking on the correct button; Nothing happens; I try several other ways; I click on the "signin" box at the extreme top right and nothing happens; I click on another box that ask for my location and a new window appears asking for my addres and zip code. I eventually get to the email. Now at this moment I look at the top of this my current window and I see that my location is shown and I am signed into verizon to write to you. There is a block that reads "signout". What is going on?

And one more small detail. After I have this problem there's a crash file in ~Library/Preferences called 'com.apple.iLifeAssetManagement.crqash.plist'. It's cryptic, but it says:

Having said that, there are ppl who have installtion done on Windows 7 as well.
I would say, check the services first if they are up and running or not. If yes, then logs should be the first place to visit.

Problem logging into forum ?

The forum software is misbehaving again.
For people who have trouble logging in, please navigate to http://mysun.sun.com/portal/dt and login from there.
Once you are logged in, you can navigate back to this forum by typing in http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=45 in the same window or else you can follow the links (Got this workaround from this post => http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=671215)

Logging into this forum fails

Hi there!
First of all I have to apologize that i am posting here a problem and not feedback - but plz take a minute and see why:
As I am having the problem with Safari that the auto login into forums doesn't work anymore I wanted to login here into the Apple-discussions board to get help. But the bad suprise was, that I am not able to log in here in anymore from my Mac and Safari.
I am absolutely sure to use the right login data, as i can log in via my father's PC and Internet Explorer - from where I am typing this post here now as well.
As pictures say more than a thousand words, I made two screenshots from the login-process, so you see how it looks:

The 1st picture shows the dialogue to enter the login data - filled out.
The 2nd picture shows the site I am led to when then pressing the "Sign In" button.
As you can see it is the form that is used to create an account. On the right you can see that i am still logged out. And the funny thing is, that there is not even a field to type in an AppleID.
I would really love to get some official help here, as this issue occurs especially here on this forum. And it is not good, not beeing able to login into the discussions forum from my Mac.
Here is what i tried so far without success:
- filling out the form I am led to when i want to login
- delete all cookies of Safari
- clearing cache of Safari
- delete the Safari Library files (.pls or on what they are ending)
- setting back safari
Another thing: When I login here via my father's PC, at first i am led to a page where it tells me, that the page I should have been taken doesn't exist, and that contains a link to the discussions-board. But i am loggedin, and when I click that link i can fiew the board an post as usual.
So.. hope you can help me. It's hard to get help, when access to the help-board is denied...

No guarantees, but try the procedure that I have posted below.
Delete Safari's Apple Cookies, and clear the Cache.
Quit Safari, and then reopen it.
On the Discussions Sign In Page, do not enter any info in the text fields.
Instead, under "Did you forget your password?", click on "Click here for assistance".
On the page that opens, click on "Forget your Apple ID?".
Enter the required info, and click Continue.

Text Format problem in Online Discussion Forum app

Hello,
I want to use the Online Discussion Forum app to host forums for DBAs to post information and discussion of database problems. I would like to be able to cut and paste material from log files, config files and other sources into the posted messages along with original text. When I paste a block of text from a terminal window into the message window of ODF the text appears okay. However when I click Preview (or Post the message and later view it), the text appears to run together and the line breaks appear as the string "br" embedded in angle brackets in the run on text rather than being honored as actual line breaks.
I am using Firefox 2 on a Sun Solaris workstation as my browser. The text is being cut from xterm type terminal windows on Solaris. Anyone know why this is happening and whether there is anything I can do about it.?

I forgot to mention that I am using Online Discussion Forum v0.92 using Apex v3.0.1 on Oracle 10.2.0.3 running on a Sun Solaris 8 server.

Problem logging into SharePoint Designer 2013 were could previously

I am having trouble logging into my SharePoint Designer 2013 since I tried to sign in to sharepoint designer with a test account. My sharepoint administrator said I have all the permissions that I need.

When the spedesign.exe asks me to log on with a different user accout, it wants the crendtials of domain name and passsword.
I enter the domain name that looks like domainname\username with the password. I am using the domain name that is assigned to my computer. The logon does not recognize me.
My company is using sharepoint in the cloud. Thus would my domain be the sharepoint https location that my company is using?
When I log into the cloud, I use an email address.
Thus do you have any suggestions on what is wrong and how I should enter the logon in?
What do you suggest that I try next?

You can switch the user account with a domain user in SharePoint Desinger 2013 . Once log on, please go to Account -> Connected Services -> Add a service -> Storage -> Office 365 SharePoint, then input your Office 365 crendtial
and you can open your SharePoint Online using SharePoint Designer.

WRVS4400N problem logging into the routers administrative console with vista OS

I have a problem that is OS specific on the Linksys WRVS4400N Gigabit router. When I try to login to my routers admin page using VISTA IE7 I am prompted by the NT dialog at which point I type the correct admin UID and PWD. I am then prompted over and over again until it either gives me an access denied or I am successfully logged in; furthermore if I do log in successfully I am prompted to login again whenever I click another tab in the admin console and the same thing of repetitive login attempts occurs. I have tried turning off UAC, changing intranet security levels to low to no avail. I have the latest firmware update of 1.00.16. Any help is greatly appreciated also anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Hi first time poster and forum user although I have owned and used PC's since 1988 and have always managed to get things configured correctly until NOW
I too am trying to log into the admin console of a WRVS4400N and have tried both browsers (IE9 and Google Chrome) that are installed on a laptop running Win7 which in turn is the only thing connected to the stated device via ethernet port 1... when using the suggested https://192.168.1.1 (which I know is the correct IP address because 'ipconfig' reveals that it is the default gateway and that it has assigned an IP address of 192.168.1.100 to my laptop).
I hope I have convinced you all that I am not a complete dummy... but this thing just refuses to let me in... gives me the login dialogue box in either http:// or https:// format and just let's me enter admin and admin any number of times and does little else - though occasionally it has gone to the 401 error screen - I cannot be sure of why - it is possible that I did mis-type something in my frustration
Has anyone got a clue?

Problem logging into sqlplus

I am having a strange problem with sql*plus...
I installed Oracle database 10g release 2 and then logged into sqlplus as sys user from the windows command line and everything seemed fine. Later I installed oracle http server from the 10g companion cd and now logging into sqlplus as sys user from the windows terminal from where i logged on before, works fine, but if I open a new terminal and try to log into sqlplus as sys user from there, I get the following error...ora-01031: insufficient privileges.
i noticed that from the first terminal, it logs into sqlplus release 10.2.0.1.0 but from the new terminal it logs into sqlplus release 10.1.0.3.0.
Does anyone know how this came about? I only have the database release 2 installed and not release 1.

Logging into Discussion area

An odd thing happened when I tried to log into the discussion area, the "create a new account" window opened. I hit the back button on Safari, thinking I messed up the UID or PWD, only to find that I was logged in. I logged out and tried it again, same thing. Any ideas?

I don't quite know how to start. I'm an old dog that worked with the beige box "pro's" 15 years ago. Now fast forward and I'm trying to learn the new iMac G5 tricks. After an hour of trying to establish an Apple ID and finally getting to ask a question, I could not find the "post new topic" to click on anywhere on the screen! Your question was the closest I could come to that even had a reply button to push. (My apologies for you being the "lucky" one.)
My question actually has to do with spyware.. I had downloaded a forest service map and tried to print it. Safari unexpectedly quit. I restarted and tried again. The same thing happened only this time the prompt asked if I wanted to reset the preferences. I clicked on yes. The third time it unexpectedly quit I got a Java Script prompt that said "If you computer has been running slower than normal, it may be infected with Adware or Spyware. WinAntiSpyware 2006 performs a FREE scan of your system. Download now" I hit the cancel button. The WinAntiSpyware screen appeared with no exit button, only a click here button for "search for Spy and Adware now Free". I quit Safari without clicking any buttons. When I reopened Safari and tried again the same thing happened. Once again I quit Safari. That was 3 hours ago and I have been researching ever since trying to find out what's going on.
(background info: My computer has not been running slower, and I have not ever downloaded any free software or music. I have had some applications unexpectedly quit, but no crashes or freezes. Also, no spam emails or ad pop ups. In other words... no problems. So this was a total susprise to me. I'm am in a very rural area with old phone lines and the slowest dial up available.)
The WinAntiSpyware page said that I has 52 security threats. (the first time I got the screen, I only had 38!) Now for the actual questions. What's going on? I'm not sure that I know exactly what spyware really is. Does this happen often? I was under the impression that Macs just don't have a problem with this. And what should I do about it? I feel like the grandmother trying to cross the interstate!! Thanks for ANY help and information.
