Strange problem when trying to install programs

Question

Hi,
I have big problems lately when trying to install programms like firefox.
when i download the .dmg file with safari it reports that the file is damaged after completing the download. the strange thing is that it doesn't happen every time. only some programms fail.
The cube which runs OSX had firefox installed but i tried to remove and reinstall it. But unfortunality that didn't work, now i am back to old safari which doesn't support all new webtechniques.

You can use Camino as a default browser for your OS, in place of
the much older Safari last supported by Panther.
