Strange staic noise in left speaker when i start my MPB.

There is a very strange static noise in the left speaker when I start the computer. Is there away to turn off the startup sound? I don't need it anyway.

Are you sure it's static? I think it might be your hard drive.
Some hard drives are louder than others, and on my MBP I can hear mine at all times when the computer is on and awake. The HD is located to the left of the touchpad, and if it's audible, it will kind of sound like it does when you listen to the inside of a sea shell. Kind of a soft, gentle "wooshing." Does kind of sound like static.
If you gentle use your hand/wrist to place pressure on the area ovr the hard drive, does the static sound seem to get quieter? If so, it's probably just the hard drive (by putting some pressure on it I assume it gets quieter since you're eliminating some of the vibration).
Anyway, a little hard drive noise of that nature is very normal. It bothers me sometimes in a quiet room, but it really is just harmless white noise.

Loud static on left speaker when playing music

Well I have officially tried everything in my power to fix this problem. it is probably not much to some, but nonetheless i am annoyed by this software.
anytime i wish to play anything on iTunes 7, only LOUD static comes out of the left speaker of my laptop. even when the volume is low. I have been to the quicktime menu to fiddle with the safe mode and frequency. uninstalling and reinstalling is hopeless. and i thought it would fix itself when an iTunes 7 update came out, no.
also, i am not sure if this is connected, but anytime I wish to play a video on iTunes it closes and i get the send error report message. and when trying to play it in quicktime every video doesnt play and all the titles are "Untitled 2" while it play perfectly in the IE windows.
i would really like to get matter solved becuz all my music is so well organized on itunes and i dont want to start that process over for a new program.

Move! Buzzing noise from left speaker on T60/T60p

I've had this annoying buzzing on my left speaker on my T60p and another T60. It doesn't happen all the time - but when it does, it happens even when I plug in headphones.
I've called the support line, and they've replaced my speakers - same problem. I haven't had time to call back...
Anyone else having this problem?

Could be interference, my smartphone causes my PC speakers to emit gibberish every once in a while if it's too close. Most speakers aren't shielded against that.

Crackling noise in left speaker

Hi!
I have my MacBook (2,20 Ghz) since a few days (running MacOS 10.5.1). Since the beginning... there is a crackling noise in the left speaker (just like out of an old recordplayer) once in a while.
Is this a known problem???

I have a small problem which I hope someone can advise me on ......
Everytine I press the Latecny button on Logic 9 the audio will stop coming out of the LEFT and RIGHT speakers and only come out of the LEFT speaker ?
Audio sent out of DAW --------> Mixng Deck ------> back into Soundcard via SPDIF (digital) on inputs 9/10
I am sening al my sounds out of the computer to be summed on a mixing decks and then the 2 channles of audio from the deck is coming back into my soundcard as an digital a signle on INPUTS 9/10.
Can anyone please advise ..........!?!

Might want to read on what Low Latency mode does + why and when you should use it.
It's basically only used in realtime monitorinr when recording and/or when recording softsynths.
By reading the docs you should be able to figure out why the right side is being muted.

Be sure software monitoring is Off when recording the summed input.

Strange loud noises comming from speaker

Hello,
I owned Nokia 2730 Classic for a few years...
One night, i was almost asleep when suddenly, a loud noise comming from my phone alert me (the phone was in stand by on my desk). The noise was comming from the speaker, i recon. In background a documentary was playing (consider the difference of the volume between the phone and the PC -> the noise comming from the phone was very loud).
This is an isolated incident; not repeating.

So you don't say which year your MacBook Pro is from or the size.

This looks like your machine. So step 5 shows where that battery screw is. It's a triwing and requires a special screwdriver. That tab could have broken if the computer was dropped like straight down. Not too much of a problem.

When you take the fan out, you'll closely examine the grill at the top of the fan in step 6. It's most likely filled with lint like in a dryer.
So with the fan out examine it carefully. Spin it and see if it makes the noise you're hearing. There's probably something stuck in there. Use compressed air to blow it out. Or if it's bad you might have to replace it.

Clicking noise on left side when opening macbook screen

For some reason, all the sudden my macbook started making a clicking noise on the left hidge of the screen everytime I open it. I looked closely and discovered that the space between the bottom portion of the macbook and the screen (when closed) is bigger on the right side then on the left side. The left side is almost flush with the bottom portion but the right side has some extra space, which is needed so the plastic doesnt rub together and create this clicking noise.
What I dont understand is how the heck this happened...I was just sitting there on my mac book, opened and closed it and now the screen has a smaller space on the left side.
Has anyone else had this problem? I think its worth taking it to an apple store to get repaired but I'm starting school very soon and need it. Any ideas?

So I took my macbook to the apple store which unfortunantly is 45 minutes away from my house. I showed an apple genius my problem and he said that he didnt know how my problem occured but he thinks it can be fixed by sending the laptop in and having them re-adjust the bezel. He told me just by looking at it, he couldnt really tell me if it was easy to fix. He also offered to send it in for me and see what they could do but I need it next week for school so I couldnt do that. Apparently the apple store in san fran where I'm moving to for school next week is bigger and they have more staff so they can proabably just fix it in the store rather then send it in.
To make a long story short I was pretty angry since thats all I got from them after my long drive down there and my 25 minute wait once I put my name in.
But anyways, I personally think since the cpu chip is on the top lefthand corner of the mac book (i think), that the extreme heat that this corner of the laptop produces warped the corner of the screen . I'm not really sure if thats the answer but it makes sense to me considering the right hand side of the laptop is not nearly as hot as the left side and the right side is not afected. It could have just heat warped it causing it to not line up properly while closed.
If anyone finds out anymore answers to this problem please let me know...

I hear a static(garbled )sound on the left speaker when i use iTune?

This started only when i updated to OS.X version 10.9.I tis a STATIC sound that becomes more evident at higher volume levels!
I have tried:
1) i have tried the equalizer solution.problem still there.
2) tried the Repair Disk permissions route.problem still there.
3) deleting the system preference(.plist files).problem still there.
HELP please.I had a perfect itunes before this upgrade w Mavericks.

Acoustic noise on internal Speaker every full hour

Hi guys,
I have a really strange problem.
My left speaker makes a random noise for 2 seconds every full hour.
And the strangest thing yet, it also rustles although the iMac is turned off.
The sound works normally. The random noise can be heard above. The rustle isn't transmitted to external speakers (Bluetooth or Headphonejack).
It's limited to the internal left speaker.

Since you are sure it's not a mechanical noise and since you've disconnected everything but the keyboard and mouse and the sound persists, and removed any and all radio interference sources from the area and have no in-built airport or bluetooth modules, you've eliminated all the common causes of this sort of noise. And since the internal speaker appears to make the noise even when external speakers are plugged in, it's obviously not a sound caused by, or propagated through, the audio circuit. What's more, if the noise occurred even with the external speakers disconnected, it leaves little possible conclusion except that the mini itself is at fault.
There's a possibility that for some reason the mini is picking up RF from a switching source such as a thermostat or spark-igniter, which would not necessarily have to be in the immediate vicinity to cause a problem, but if you are able to rule out such a source in the mini's surroundings, I suspect the mini will have to be looked at.

Buzz sound in my laptop left speaker

i have pavilion dv6 notebook pc with windows 7 home premium installed on it. My problem that i have a buzz sound comes from my left speaker when i play songs. That's happened when i was playing music and hearing from headphones then electricity went off and i was plugging the laptop without battery. When i reboot my laptop the sound wasnt good so i restored my pc to factory settings and the problem isn't solved. Note: before i did that factory settings restore, i've made a minimal system recovery a week before it.

I am not sure why you would run your laptop without a battery. The sudden loss of electricity might have damaged your laptop.
Insert a commerical music CD and see if you get the same noise.
Do you have the same issue when the battery is installed?
Try wiggling the headset connection with the headset being plugged and unplugged and see if that changes the speaker sound.
Try your laptop on a known good electrical circuit. A faulty ground or neutral wire can cause a similar buzz or hmmm. If you are using a surge protector or UPS then remove those items from the connection path.

I purchased the iPhone 4S 32 GB and my headphones and car jack will NOT play in the left speaker of either. Have had the iPhone since late February , can't get ANY help........

I have the iPhone 4S 32 GB and the headphones that came with it will NOT play in left ear. It will also NOT play in my car left speaker when using the auxiliary connection in my car.............. Have only had since February 26, 2012, can't get HELP anywhere , disappointed

My left speaker makes a strange noise (buzzing) when my mac starts up?

After logging into my MacBook Pro my left speaker makes a strange noise that lasts about 5-7 seconds then stops. No other problems with sound quality or further noises after start-up.
Problems arises both upon starting the mac from "off" mode and "sleep" mode.
Recent problem that started 2 weeks ago. Mac is aged 5 months old.
Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Strange noise from speaker when connecting to wireless network? common?

I've noticed there is around 2-3 sec noise like " saaa saaa" it is similar to the noise u will hear when you searching for the radio station. it is not very loud.. just little bit.. and once it connected, the noise wil be gone..
is that usual? does that happen to your macbook too? it annoys me a bit.. and I wonder is it an hardware fault.

Static crackling noise, Right speaker when audio is being played

I recently purchased this Satellite C50D-A Windows 8 Laptop. I have had it for less than 3 months. Recently the right speaker has started acting up with some sort of high pitched static crackling noise whenever audio is played regardless of it being in a web browser or any other media. Even computer sounds are distorted from this. I typically use this computer for school and play music to study. How the hell can I fix this so I can actually listen to audio without this rather irritating issue?

I tried that and it didnt seem to do much of anything.
I played part of a song on spotify and recorded it to perhaps give you an example of what it sounds like?
I covered the left speaker so most of what you hear is the right speaker alone. The distortion is pretty clear when audio comes out of that speaker.
