Strange Taskbar Things Since ITunes 5.0.1

Hi all
Since upgrading from IT 5.0.1 Win XP I've noticed funny taskbar activities. If I click on one taskbar (say Outlook), another window (say Word) will pop up before Outlook is displayed.
Also, if you hover your mouse on the taskbar item, you see the yellow box with the task you are looking to switch to but it's BEHIND the taskbar.
I've only seen this since upgrading from 5.0.
Software bug I think.

Since itunes 2.0.4 has been downloaded. My ipod doesn't synchronize properly/ at all.The LED screen shows "copy 1 or 2 from 101" and it will remain like that. It looks like sync but there's nothing to happen. It doesn't stop by it self. How to solve?

I have exactly the same issues with my new 80G iPOD. I have found that when connecting to my PC, the iPOD does not start iTUNES 7. This can be resolved by stopping the iPOD Service in Computer Management, connecting the iPOD and then starting it again. Seems like a stupid long-winded way to do things, but at least you can get some stuff on to your iPOD.
As far as using Restore goes - I just get the restoring iPOD message you described, which it blatantly isn't :((
DELL Windows XP Pro

Itunes 12.1.1.4 crashes in windows 7 since itunes update.

Since the latest iTunes for PC update 12.1.1.4, my iTunes is broken (again) - seems to happen every few updates.
Windows 7 (64 bit)
I may have a rather large library which might not help (aprox.. 2200 albums). The trouble shooting options posted to other questions seem to generic. This issue seems related to the latest update that has broken my iTunes.
ITunes will quit unexpectedly after 45-60 seconds from starting iTunes, just sitting idle, not playing any music (will crash if I try to play a song as well).
Tried a slightly smaller version of the same library that is on an older laptop also running win 7, same thing occurs, iTunes will just crash for no reason about a minute in. 2 different PCs, not a coincidence.
Sure if I create a new user with practically no songs in the library, it works. But how is this realistic? I am not going to rebuild a 2200 album library 1 by 1 as the troubleshooting suggests.
I need a real fix here, as it seems this update or one prior has broken iTunes and made it completely unusable.

Since itunes 11 music plays choppy

Since upgrading to Itunes 11 I have had problems with music being choppy or skip/repeat small sections of songs. It is very annoying. It never used to do this on Itunes 10. It only seems to happen while playing video games on the same machine. Like I said this never happened doing the exact same thing on Itunes 10.

sounds like a cpu performance thing, when I try to record and playback music in my DAW program, am connected to the internet and have another program open - it shows my cpu performance indicator is close to clipping- when it does clip - audio is distorted... so theres a multitude of things that could be going on with your computer not necessarily the program or your music.

Since iTunes 7 : subscribing ok, but no download !

Since iTunes 7, people can still subscribe to my podcast, but then, they can not download any episode. When we try to refresh the podcast, nothing happens !!!!

Downloading was really really slow, but it was downloading.
The URL that you give at the iTunes listing is http://www.dailyfrenchpod.com/wordpress/feed but that redirects over to http://feeds.feedburner.com/LearnFrenchWithDailyfrenchpod . Maybe that is the problem? Change your subscription settings to the feedburner feed. Although that ties you forever to feedburner, so that might not be the best thing to do. Mike

Songs load slow since iTunes 9 update

Hi,
All of my music is stored on a 1TB external drive via USB 2.0.
My songs have played perfectly in previous versions, albeit a little bit of lag compared to the local HDD, but still good. Ever since iTunes 9 songs of even 3 minute duration take a good 4-5 seconds to start playing.
Quite annoying, anyone else with this issue?

This is such depressing news - I just downloaded 9.0 hoping it would run faster, not slower! It's definitely down to the size of the library and processor speed.
I have a 1TB external drive filled with music, and it's not really possible to load more than half of that into the library without serious performance problems. On my older Powerbook G4 which I (try to) use as a media machine, plugged into the amp/tv, it's not possible to load more than about 150MB without painful pauses when trying to select and play tracks.
As someone who's always trusted Apple to get things right, this is so confusing and frustrating.
If there's any solution for dealing with large libraries in the pipeline I'd love to hear of it.

Defective Song Tracks Since iTunes 10.5 (also, recently purchased songs/albums are not showing up in purchased area for redownload purposes)

Last night I purchased the new Coldplay album from the iTunes store on my PC (as opposed to the iPad or iPhone). 2 of the 14 song files are defective (my bad ones are tracks 2 and 3). Those two play music for about the first 20 or 30 seconds of the track and then skip immediately to the next track. I had the same problem last week with two other albums I purchased from the iTunes store (also on my PC like last night). In those cases, I simply went to the "Purchased" quick link area and found everything I had just purchased. I deleted the defective files and then redownloaded them without a hitch. The replaced files now play fine.
However, the Coldplay album does not show up in my "Purchased" section (not last night or this morning when I rechecked). I am unable to redownload the defective files. I am doubly disturbed by this. For one, I have never had defective music downloads up until iTunes 10.5 and now I've had them on the three albums I've downloaded since. Two, now the "redownload music from the iCloud" function is not working for the most recent purchases. Perhaps this is true of all music purchased from iTunes over the past few days for everybody? Most people are probably mentioning Coldplay here on the boards because it's the hot new album. Note that this apparently is not affecting iOS apps, because my recent (within 24 hours) apps do show up in the purchased area.
It's very frustrating, because I want to sync this new Coldplay album with my iPhone so I can listen to it and I hate to have to transfer an incomplete album to it. My OCD-like nature gets to me sometimes. Part of me wants to just repurchase the two defective song files and hope that Apple won't charge me twice.

LOL!!! I had checked iTunes before writing this and the music was not there. I check after writing and now it has shown up. It took iTunes about 12 hours to do it though.
Last week, the music I purchased showed up immediately.
I guess iTunes is just not working as effeciently as it did last week. Could still be a bug or maybe just swamped servers? However, the problem that is most annoying to me right now is that all the music I have downloaded since iTunes 10.5 has contained defective tracks that needed to be redownloaded. I am so lost since iTunes was redesigned! I like to manage my children's apps from the computer. We have multiple devices and I want different apps on each. I've lost this ability and I am floundering! We have too many apps to manage from individual devices. With my vision deficits, I find it easier to select and delete apps with the device connected and to move the apps to the page I want it on from a larger computer screen.
I used to be able to connect my device, sync it, and then go into a screen where I could manage the apps. No more! Why not? I get that the new design is all about the sale for Apple, but please don't take away functionality! Help!

After an hour of messing with this, I think I found my own answer.
The new iTunes automatically shrinks the left sidebar that has device information. It does not automatically tell us this. Control S returns the view to the familiar one.
For some reason,my device is not always appearing in the sidebar. This might be a problem with my USB port, again no idea why. I did see questions from other users experiencing the same problem. Once I did get the device to appear, I still did not have the ability to view the old screen that had a list of my loaded apps with a page by page view. The device info summary page was there, but the toolbar for the device was not visible.
I had to restore my iPod to its original settings and update before the old app screen and device toolbar returned.
I had been putting off the update because everytime I tried I got a message saying there were apps purchased on my iPod that needed to be uploaded or they would be lost with the update. I would agree to upload them but was never taken to a prompt to begin that process. Since I could not find a way to sync and the device specific settings were concealed I finally opted to update and lose the apps in order to solve the bigger problem. Hopefully, they are there somewhere.
Disappointed to see how many consumers are as lost as I am with the new iTunes appearance. Hope Apple is tracking these forum questions and thinking of us as clients and not just as wallets! Way too much emphasis on purchasing and not enough on user friendly accessibility in new iTunes. We're hooked, Apple. Try harder to keep us on the hook.

I recently changed my email address and want to change my Apple ID account to match. I have created a new Apple ID to match the new account but now I can't sign into iCloud on our phones or computer with the old Apple ID. I can't make any changes on iCloud on our phones because it directs me to the old account, which I can't sign into. I also can't sign me in on my computer to make any changes. Help!!! Now I have two addresses and can't access the one that directly affects my devices.

Unfortunately, if the iPad is insisting that you use a passcode, there is no way around it other than to restore the device using iTunes on a computer, or by erasing it in iCloud.com via Find My iPhone.
You could try resetting the iPad and cross your fingers and hope this is just a blip on the radar....hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Can't get album art on ipod classic since iTunes 9

Hi there,
I have an 80GB iPod and since iTunes 9 i've had artwork issues.
On the first sync i did since iTunes 9 the artwork got mixed up on many songs (i.e. while playing one song it would show the album art for a different song on the ipod).
So I re-formatted the iPod and re-synched everything to it (which took hours since I have almost all 80GB used). Now there is no artwork at all on the iPod and I can't figure out how to get it back! I see no option anywhere saying to sync album art as well as music, and I swear I saw it in a previous iTunes.
The artwork is definitely in iTunes and definitely written into the ID3 tags of the songs so I'm not sure how to fix this, any ideas?

same experience here, looks like itunes 9 doesn't edit id3 tags for album artwork coz it has a separate cache or folders where artworks of the songs are stored. so when i play an mp3 in itunes it shows that it has an album artwork but it wont show up when i use to play the same file via wmp or winamp. as of now, the work around that i know of is to manually add the album artwork in ur ipod via itunes.
