Strange that I can save a pdf file created in windows 8.1 to my cloud storage

Strange that I can save a pdf file created in windows 8.1 to my cloud storage, but then I don't see it when I open my account. What is strange is that when I try again to save the file, system ask me to change the file name or over write current file. But file not present in my drive. Any help would be much appreciated

You can't edit a file with PDF Pack, but you should be able to convert it to a Word document, and if you are really lucky edit THAT and make a new PDF. Don't expect too much though!

  • Problems opening .pdf files created in Windows in MAC

My clients that are using Macs are having problems opening password protected PDFs that I created in Windows. Any suggestions?

Are your clients using Adobe Reader on Mac, or the built-in Mac OS Preview?  Preview does NOT support the full PDF standard :(.

  • Mavericks CPU can't open pdf files created on Yosemite

I've looked around for this issue, but I haven't seen any questions similar to mine.
My wife and I have identical MacBook Pros. Hers is running Mavericks, while I've updated mine to Yosemite.
By chance, we realized that if I email her files created on my laptop, she can't open them. I've sent her Pages files, and the same files converted to PDF. So, either on Preview or Pages, she cannot open those files I've sent her.
I know that the easy answer is "update your wife's laptop to Yosemite," but I'm rather curious whether there's a bug in the system that hasn't been discovered. Besides, my wife is quite happy with Mavericks, and that's fine by me.
Any help or suggestion in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    BK

I just tested opening a Pages v5.5.1 file on Yosemite and Exporting it to a PDF file. Then I copied the PDF and Pages files over to another Mac running Mavericks and I was able to open and view the PDF file. I can't open the actual Pages file in Mavericks created in Yosemite because the Pages app is a different version in Mavericks (v5.2.2) and not compatible with the Yosemite version. But, PDFs definitely work fine and I can also open/view the same PDF file on a Mac running Mountain Lion. So, Preview in Mavericks and Mountain Lion, for me, open and view PDF files created from Yosemite/Pages without issue.
Have you tried opening your PDF file on another Mac running Mavericks?
You might try reinstalling Mavericks on top of itself. Maybe Preview in Mavericks is somehow corrupt. On the Mavericks Mac, you can redownload/reinstall Mavericks from the App Store using the same Apple ID that originally downloaded it. Or restart the Mavericks Mac into the Recovery HD (Command+R) and Reinstall OS X from there. Back up before you do the reinstall. The reinstall won't harm any data or apps. It just installs the OS over itself.

  • Can't open xls file created by windows excel

when i try to open a xls file created by windows excel, my numbers (3.2.2) tells me that " 'file name' cannot be opened' please help, thank you!

ack, this whole thing is frustrating. I can create new .numbers documents, save them as Excel documents, and those resulting .xls documents will open fine. HOWEVER, if I grab an old .xls document from a time machine backup (over a month ago), I cannot open it. Nor can I open an newly saved .xls document saved from the same original .numbers file.
It would seem that the only thing I can do now is take those old .numbers files and copy/paste the content into a brand new .numbers file. After saving as, the resulting .xls files open fine (with the usual "import warnings", but I'm used to those )

  • Is there a way that you can convert a pdf file into a InDesign 5.5 file

I want to convert a pdf file into a InDesign CS5.5. Is there anyway you can do this, or is there any software which can be downloaded that achieves good results.

    Recosoft has a converting plugin:
http://PDF to InDesign, Convert PDF to InDesign, PDF to InDesign converter

  • VISTA - can't find pdf files created ?

I run Vista Ultimate 32 bit, and Acrobat standard 7.0
When I have for example a document open ... I click print and
select PDF Writer (as normal) I then have option to name the file,
and browse to where I want it to go.
I always choose 'desktop' I then click Print ... and a pop up
    window then advises :
"For your computer security, this file was saved to the
Temporary Internet Files Folder. Do You want to open this folder?"
If I select yes .. it opens folder, but there is no pdf file
in it .... If I select No ... I am left with no file anyway.
Carrying out a search of the file name also does not return
the files location ... where the heck does VISTA put the files, and
how can I get it to put them where I select ?

There are no free upgrades across major versions. It would
have been in your best interest to research the product
requirements before buying 7 if you were planning on using it with
a new operating (that didn't exist when 7 was released).
You do get upgrading pricing as opposed to having to pay for
another full version, which is a significant discount, but it's not
free. And the current version is 9.0, it would be best to get 9.0
(again, you should be able to get upgrade pricing).
For actual prices, you'll have to call Adobe Sales. They'll
know more about that than I do.

  • Can't open PDF file created in Microsoft PowerPoint in Keynote!?

When i try to open the PDF file by finding the file in 'Finder' and then opening it with a program, keynote is not highlighted as a program that will work. I then tried to force the file to open by selecting 'all applications' instead of 'available applications'. This time keynote is highlighted, but when i try to open the PDF i get a message saying "file could not be handled because Keynote cannot open files in the “Preview Document” format."
Please could someone help as i need to be able to open and edit these PDF files for my degree!!
    Many thanks!!

    Welcome to the forums!
PDF files are not editable. It sounds like you need the original PowerPoint files, and not the PDF versions that were created from them.

  • Is there a way that I can clear a pdf file

I am using acrobat.com and I am able to view these files on my tablet. Does anyone know how to clear the form? Is there an option of requiring to save as instead of always saving your file automatically?

  • How can I save a pdf file on my ipad so I can view it later

I want to be able to view a pdf file on my ipad when I do not have access to internet but I can't seem to save it on my ipad

You need an app into which it can be saved. Download iBooks or Adobe Reader which are both free in the App Store, then you can save the PDF files into one of those apps. I prefer Adobe Reader because you can annotate, highlight, rename create folders, add your signature and do some other things that you cannot do with iBooks.
After you download one of those apps, tap the PDF file in order to open it, than tap on the screen somewhere in order to make the sayer icon appear in the upper right corner. Tap the share icon and then select Open In iBooks or Adobe Reader from the resulting pop up window. That will save the file to the app.

  • [locked] Allow users to save the PDF file

I've noticed that by using the form Distribution through either email, Acrobat.com, or a shared folder on the network the user can save the PDF file, correct? Do I understand this correctly? One other thing, what if I don't want to email out but just want the PDF form to be available on my website, will the user still be able to save a copy of the filled form for themselves to print or do whatever they want?

    Okay, is this the paragraph?
15.12.3 For any unique Extended Document, you may only
either (a) Deploy such Extended Document to an unlimited number of unique
recipients but shall not extract information from more than five hundred (500)
unique instances of such Extended Document or any hardcopy representation of
such Extended Document containing filled form fields; or (b) Deploy such
Extended Document to no more than five hundred (500) unique recipients without
limits on the number of times you may extract information from such Extended
Document returned to you filled-in by such Recipients. Notwithstanding anything
therein to the contrary, obtaining additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or
Acrobat Pro Extended shall not increase the foregoing limits (that is, the
foregoing limits are the aggregate total limits regardless of how many
additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro Extended you may have
    obtained).
I'm not trying to break any laws but just curious as how Adobe would track that information. In any case, I'm not trying to capture/extract any information from the PDF form. Mainly what I'm trying to do or like to do is just allow the user to save the form. I don't want to capture or extract any information from the PDF form. My form is about three to four pages long and all I'm trying to do is allow the user to save the form that they partially filled and allow them to save the form so they can come back whenever they want to and finish filling up the form and that's it. I'm not looking for any data coming back to me. The user is required to print the form so their is no electronic information coming back. Is this still violate Adobe's limitation above?

  • I am unable to open PDF files created from another PGM.

Is there an ADOBE pgm that will properly read in PDF files created from another pgm and convert them to ADOBE PDF so they do not error when they are opened to be viewed by ADOBE pgm?

There is no way to know all the different scan/fax/pdf printers that are used to make the original PDFs...
CAD-KAS PDF Editor 2.6 is used to edit the files
doPDF 5 is used to modify pdf file.
Interesting, I can use the free CAD-KAS PDF reader to open & read the PDF file that the ADOBE XI reader
gives me the above error message.
