Strange thing after upgrade to LR 5 last evening....

Purchased a full version LR 5 last night and installed. Directly below the Histogram for EVERY Image in my Catalogue it states: "! Photo is missing" however it ISN'T missing, all the previous adjustments are still there and any of them will open up in Photoshop as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers,

NO that's whe WEIRD part, Sumit. Nothing was moved or unplugged and reconnected... nothing has changed at all.
Now, I'm sure I could have WORSE problems as all of the Processing has remained intact on everything I've looked at but here's the rub....
If the Photo WAS missing I couldn't make any further changes with the sliders, which I CAN.... and it certainly wouldn't open up in Photoshop.

Very strange thing after 10.7.3 update?
Everything seems to be working normal except the desk top BBC iPlayer which plays fine in a small window but when you go to full screen still plays the sound but the screen just goes black, no video?
I thought maybe the update knocked off one of the plugins or players but reinstalled iPlayer and same problem, anyone got a workaround or suggestion as to how I can fix it, am I the only one?
Full screen YouTube works fine.
Everything else seems ok, maybe running a little hotter and the fans are kicking in a little sooner but does feel a little snappier.

Might be a third party Safari addon that was compatible with Snow Leopard but not Lion that's preventing pages to load. That add on may not have any effect on the other browsers, just Safari.

Also, if you have Little Snitch or Peer Guardian or anti virus sofware installed on your Mac, that might prevent pages to load also.

Stacked 2D Column chart - strange behaviour after upgrade to 3.1.1.

Problem is, when I choose chart type Stacked 2D Column, I get values on columns (I want just hints). 3.1 version works fine, and after upgrade to 3.1.1, values starts to apper on columns (show_values checkbox is disabled).
Interesting is, that Stacked 3D column works fine, and values dont apper.
Any idea, please?

There is a workaround for this issue, but since we received the new flash file from AnyChart to fix in 3.1.2, please upgrade to 3.1.2 when it becomes available. To workaround in 3.1.1:
1. Download and unzip the 3.1 installation medium.
2. Find the /images/flashchart directory where the 3.1.1 images reside.
3. Replace the 3.1.1 version of /images/flashchart/Stacked2DColumn.swf with
the 3.1 version of the file from step 1.
4. If using the PL/SQL Gateway (EPG), run apxldimg.sql to reload the 3.1.1 /images files into the database.

Strange things after -Syu

just did pacman -Syu and rebooted ... now every time i open a terminal (urxvt and xterm) this happens...
everything else seems to work fine. it's only the terminal that does this.
below is my /var/log/pacman.log from today. i noticed that several things from xorg were replaced / installed.

You can try. I'd refer you to ATI wiki for specifics. I tried disabling KMS, enabling KMS, changing driver...
And as loafer suggests do some searching in the forum. I've seen posts w/people having a similiar problem as this.

Strange 'noise' after upgrade

I just upgraded to )S 10.4.4 and now I can hear a strange scratching noise inside when I think my hd is being scanned.....any ideas? Bit worrying really.

Funny, I just bought a new powerbook a little while ago and hear a strange squeaking sound (like a power spike coming from the battery or something)when I type. It only happens when the computer is 'thinking' and the keys themselves don't make any noise. I thought it was the powerbook, not the OS.

Trackpad doing it's own thing after upgrade

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro which I updated to Lion yesterday. A few hours after the update my trackpad began dragging, right clicking, jumping, doing gestures when I was just moving the cursor around, using one finger.
Closing the lid, restarting the computer or doing the P+R-thing during startup temporarily makes things normal again, which is why I think it's a software problem. Any ideas how to fix this?
NOTE: I can use a USB-mouse without any problems, it's only the trackpad acting up.

Can't access certain things after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2 on iPad

Just upgraded my iPad to iOS 8.1.2 and now, cannot connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, do an iCloud back up, or even open up Facebook for an app. Password is correct. Surely it does not take 12+ hours to update? What gives? Thanks.

Hello razmee209. Thank you for your response. I spent the better part of yesterday working with Apple Support. They tried their best, to include backing up photos to my HP laptop, backing up the iPad to iCloud, then resetting the iPad in total. Same problem. I restored from the cloud to recover my apps, same problem.
AT&T installed a new sim card - same problem. I spent time with AT&T Support yesterday, too. In both cases, (Apple and AT&T) the support techs who worked with me were extremely polite, courteous and helpful to the best of their abilities, but I think the problem lies deeper, and nobody at Apple is admitting they have a problem with iOS 8, that I'm aware of.
I didn't have this issue before I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2.
Everything else with the iPad works fine: WIFI, Personal Hotspot, email, all my apps, etc.
In browsing the web for this issue I see that many other folks have the same problem. I filed a report with Apple this morning, requesting that they contact me, but no word yet. I was going to go to iPhone 6, and had been considering the iPad Air 2, but I see reports of this problem with those units as well.
At this point I don't think I'll be spending any more money with Apple, at least not till this issue is resolved.

Thank you for your email - I removed all the supporting GarageBand files, and again installed iLife from the Install Disc with my external hard drive not connected (so there would be no danger of any file conflict.) I tried installing it SIX times, and each time got:
There were errors installing the software.
Please try installing again.
It appears that the applications were installed, but the installer always stops about 70% of the way through installing software instruments - of course GB does not show any software instruments.
What could be going on?

Strange things after updating.

I just found out that whenever i plug in my 30GB iPod Photo, it shows the icon on the desktop, it updates whatever it needs to then the icon disappears from the desktop, as if i had taken it out, but it still shows in iTunes that it's hooked up.

Check whether disk mode on the iPod tab in iTunes preferences is enabled. If disk mode is enabled, the iPod should stay mounted on the desktop after the sync is finished, otherwise it'll disappear.

After upgrade to Aperture 3 last year, combined albums are not recognized

On many events, I work with a second photographer who does his own editing of his raw images. To combine our work in the previous version of Aperture, I would import the other photographer's Aperture project, create Albums within my Aperture project and combine photos from the 2 projects (drop the photos from both projects into the Albums), re-order and edit them as needed.
With the upgrade to Aperture 3, I re-imported the Library/Projects, and the Albums appear but do not include the combined images from second project file? This would mean that I lost all of the hours spent re-ordering 8-10 events will need to be re-done for a final export.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there any way around having to re-do all of that work?

when you view your first Library 1 with the combined album that appears to be empty, what is the number of items beside the album?
(to turn on the display of the number of items open the Aperture Preferences and enable "Show number of versions for projects and albums in the "Appearence" tab).
This will tell you, if the versions from your second project really are not included in the library or are only hidden.
Do you see your project from the second library when you click on the projects view button or is the second project missing entirely?
If the second project is there but looks empty, and if the album has more image versions than shown, then look at the search fields and check, if you have any filters set that hide the images. The search field in the Brower pane should show "Showing All", the search field in the Library Inspector should show "All items".
Are your master images referenced or managed? And if they are referenced, did you move your libraries/projects recently? Can it be that your images from the second project are not included in the first library beause they are referenced and on an external drive?

Cannot scan after upgrade to 10.6.1 even after connecting to Time Capsule

Hi there,
My HP PSC 1350 All-In-One printer is working fine after i connected it to my Time Capsule. It still can't scan though. Thought doing this was supposed to take care of that. Keep trying to add it as a device under print utility it can be added but cannot connect. Anyone know a way to resolve this?

A couple of things. First, the PSC 1350 only supports print In-OS with Snow Leopard. The official support statement for this device from HP is Print only functionality. That being said, we are trying to get the In-OS drivers working for this device at some point in the not to distant future.
Also, HP Scan Pro is not compatible with Snow Leopard, so there is really no way to make this work if it isn't working after the upgrade.
As for plugging any AiO into the USB port on an Airport Base Station (including TimeCapsule), you will never get Scan running with that setup. This is not a limitation in the drivers from HP (or any other vendor for that matter), but a limitation in what functionality the Airport exposes for USB attached printers. At least with Snow Leopard we now have Ink levels through this method for a lot of the printers.

Apple TV incredibly slow after upgrade to 3.0. Even after restore

It looks like I'm stuck with an unusable Apple TV (15 min to load a trailer? hours to download a movie? that's unusable). I have a very fast cable connection, and other internet services (youtube...) on the ATV seem to be ok. But I can't download anything without waiting a ridiculous amount of time.
I did a factory reset, and the software went back to 2.0, too old to use with my iPhone as a remote.
The ATV is wired to my Airport express (ethernet connection).
I don't know what to do, except trying to find a way to restore it to 2.xx whatever the software was before 3.0.
Any idea? I thought it might be a problem with the WEP protection of my network, but that should only apply to wireless connections. so I'm kind of lost.
