Strange trash that wont go away...

I've tried several things but dont understand why I keep getting this trash showing up. Even if all I do is restart the computer, I still shows up again.
I've repaired permissions, repaired the disk drive... still shows up.
the file is labeled ␀␀␀õ␀␀.␀␀
If you try to get info about, it disappears from the trash. If you attempt to drag it to the desktop, it disappears as well. If you try to empty the trash, it wont budge. If you try to empty the trash while holding the alt key down... doesn't budge.
Can anyone enlighten me on how to get rid of this little pest and/or why it shows up on every boot?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

IPod has songs that wont go away!!

Hello there, my white ipod touch 4g 32gb has several songs that wont go away, even when synced with a different playlist.
also the iPod had greyed out songs in its library and duplicated songs.
PLEASE HELP!

If you relaunch the finder the phantom iPod folder should disappear.
You can do this by holding down the option key and right-clicking the finder icon in the dock, or by ctrl-option left-clicking the finder icon in the dock, and selecting "Relaunch" from the pop-up menu.

Strange Null file in Trash that wont delete.

I have a strange file in my Trash that I can't delete. It has a name of "␀␀␀␀␀␀␀.␀␀␀". It appears as if all the characters are Null.
These are the actions I have taken:
1. Using Tech Tool Pro, performed file system check. Now problems found.
2. Using Terminal, changed directory to .Trash, performed ls -A and no files were found.
3. Attempted a delete (rm) of all files in trash. No luck. File remains.
4. When I select file and do a Get Info, the file disappears and the Trash Icon shows empty, but opening the trash again brings this strange file back.
5. Tried renaming the file but the rename fails with an error -43.
6. I booted from another disk and rand Disk utility which found and corrected incorrect file count problem. Still the file persists, and the verify of the disk now returns no errors.
7. Ran verify disk permissions. No problems found.
I believe the file first appeared after installing Leopard 10.5.3 update, but I'm not sure if this is related.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you! That was it.
Although my Windows Partition is FAT32 instead of NTFS, after booting XP, I found a null file in C:\.Trashes\501\. I could not delete it there either. My next step was to run CHKDSK C: /F, which converted the 501 folder into a file, which I could delete.
Booting back into OSX, the null file was now gone.

When i plug in my ipod to itunes it shows an advertsment that wont go away

i plug in my ipod touch into the computer and when i click on MY IPOD it show an advertisment for an iphone application. when i click NOT NOW the advertisement wont go away. it stays on itunes not allowing me to sync or do anything on itunes with it. this is not a problem on my ipad 2 but just the ipod touch 3rd gen. please help.
P.S. no i cannot restore it because i wl loose all of my songs since they are not in my itunes library yet.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The red X that wont go away!!!

i cant restart my ipod classic. i went to the support page and clicked on the red X link and i am unable to put my ipod into disk mode. i restart it and i get the apple screen then i try pressing the play/pause and the select button and after a moment it shows the red x again. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could try, if it isnt too much trouble, to go to the ipod updator and reset your ipod. then, if you have all your music backed up, then it wont be a problem putting the songs back on and make sure you have it set, right from the start, at manual update so that it doesnt happen again. that should solve the problem.

Slide show that wont go away

I have a Muse slide show that will not go away. I deleted it and uploaded the new files and it still shows up on the server. I deleted the entire server and it still shows up. Ive quit Muse, reinstalled it and even did the 2014 update and the slide show still shows up even though it is not on the Muse design page. Any ideas?

Blackberry Curve - not a smartphone - error messages that wont go away

Hello!
I cant use my Backberry Curve as the foillowing message keeps appearing and wont shift when i press OK:
'The application FourSquare has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy'.
Weird as I have never used Foursqaure in my life. The phones effectively unusable, does anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of the message please. I've tried taking out the battery and SIM. Thanks

or you can try to remove foursquare in safe mode:
Battery pull, insert battery and when the red light goes off, hold down the back key through the entire boot process. It will give you a message about safe mode.
remove foursquare and do another battery pull.

How do I resolve an error message that wont go away

I keep getting a "ActionScript" error message and do not know how to get it corrected or resolved. Any and all help here will be greatly appreciated!!! I am running Windows 7, and use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox. The message always appears related to Skype. Here is the error message:

A font that wont go away...

About a month ago when i first got my MBP i noticed that on a couple web pages it would load this font named "Brady Bunch", i thought nothing of if until other web pages had the same effect, but i just updated to leopard, and now my widgets are using the same font. I went into font book and deleted it off of my computer but then my weather channel widget that read 59 degrees, now reads 5 degrees. I reinstalled the font and nothing happened its still at 5 degrees i tried everything and searched couldn't find anything. I disabled the font in font book, made sure that safari and firefox both had times new roman as the default, i just don't know, i want to get a regular font, or at least any other one than that. Anyone know how? Thanks =]

Weird box that wont go away

I have mac os x Tiger, and one day when i booted up my iBook G4 a black box outline showed up. This box seems to change to whatever link i clicked last and will show up over it. I believe it's something with the system, because it shows up in all of my programs.
What is this box? please help. It's bugging me to no end.

Strange file in trash that won't go away?

I have a strange file that appeared in my Trash the other day. I tried to empty the trash multiple times, but it won't go away. Secure empty trash doesn't help, as it just gets stuck. Double-clicking on the file, getting info on the file, or dragging the file out of the trash just results in the item disappearing, only to reappear shortly thereafter. Here is a screenshot of the filename, as it is very strange (I am posting it as a picture so there are no font issues):

I have no idea what's going on. I tried repairing permissions to no avail. Should I run a disk utility such as Techtool or Diskwarrior? Is this a virus? Could this be related to my weird Time Machine issues (where Time Machine will come up with an error, see below for picture)?

If there are several locked files in the Trash, you can unlock them all at the same time at the command line. Follow these steps:
1. Open Terminal. It's located in /Applications/Utilities.  Type: chflags -R nouchg  Note: Type one space (not pictured) after nouchg in the line above, so that it ends in "nouchg ". Do not press Return yet. 
2. Double-click the Trash icon in the Dock to reveal the contents of the Trash. If necessary, arrange the Finder window so that a portion of the Terminal window is still visible.
3. Press the Command-A key combination to select all files in the Trash.
4. Drag the files from the Trash to the Terminal window.  Note: This automatically enters the pathname for each file. This eliminates the need to individually empty multiple Trash directories, particularly when multiple disks or volumes are present. 
5. Press Return. No special text message will be shown indicating that the command was successful.
6. Empty the Trash.
If the Trash does not empty or if you see a message in Terminal that says "usage: chflags [-R [-H | -L | -P]] flags file..." you most likely did not type the text in step 2 as indicated or did not leave a space. Repeat the steps if this happens.
