Strategy 40 problem

HI
I am using strategy 40 as my client want make to order as well as make to stock strategy. Rather they need to have sales order consideration in planning along with PIR.
While taking MRP run using sales order refference. System is showing message that sales order is not meant for make to order production. Item category is coming TAN. As far as i know problem lyiing with item category
Please let me know if i am following wrong procedure.
How to solve the above problem.I need to have make to stock and make to order scenario for the same material.
Regards,
Anand.

Anand,
Just to see whether your Sales Order would make an Impact on the PIR, check in the Sales Order, Procurement tab, the Sales Order Item must have Requirement type "KSV", if it was something else, then it wont work like Strategy 40 design.
Also please dont use MD50 transaction for MRP run(Use MD02), as these orders are not MTO orders, meaning that these are not customer specific stock orders.

Prasobh

    Hi
I hope you followed the following steps:
    1. Create Characteristic using CT04
    2. Create a class and link to the characteristic using CL02( class type: 32)
    3. Configuration of release procedure
SPRO IMG->MM-> Purchasing -> PO -> Release Procedure -> Set up procedure
        A) Create release group and link to class
        B) Create release code
        C) Set up the release indicator
        D) Set up Release Strategies-> strategy and codes
        E) Set up Release Strategies -> pre requisites
        F) Set up Release Strategies -> status
        G) Set up Release Strategies -> values for strategy

  • Release strategy: problems after changing the price

    HI Experts,
    I have the follwing problem.
I´ve setup the release strategy for Purchase reqs.
The strategy includes 3 approval levels.
release indicator with changeability 4 and a value of 0,1% for the first two approval levels.
I´m able to release it, but if I release the first two appoval levels and change the Preq the release strategy goes back to the first level. Fine.
But the problem is now that I´m able to release the first level but if I try to release the second one I get a error message.
I guess the problem is the changeability - but how can I solve this issue?
The system have the cancel all approvals if someone changes the price.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Alex

    HI RJ,
the exact message is "Release prerequisite not fulfilled".
The system should act in the following way:
    Approval levels:
    1. Supervisor
    2. Manager
    3. General Manager
    1 and 2 is approved.
Then the requisitioner changes the price.
Release will be changeled (Releases already effected will be cancelled).
OK that work, now the release process starts with level 1.
    1. Approved --> OK
2- try to approve and get the message "Release prerequisite not fulfilled".
1 and 2 have the same release indicator with 4 and 0,1%.
    Thanks
    Alex

  • PR Overall Release Strategy Problem

    Hi Expert,
    I have set the following
    Characterisrtic Name:
    1) ZPR_Release_Plant, Char : CEBAN-WERKS (Char format : 4)
    2) ZPR_Release_DOC_Type , char : CEBAN-BSART (Char format : 4)
    3) ZPR_Release_Pur_Grp, Char: CEBAN_EKGRP (Char format : 3)
    4) ZPR_Release_Total_Value, Char: CEBAN-GFWRT   (Curr format : 15 and  EUR)
I assign the above to Class : ZPR_Overall_Rel
I created Release Grp R1 and assign the class and tick "Overall Release" checkbox. There is only one class, no others in the list
I created two Release codes, F1 - Senior Finance Manager, C2, CEO
I created two purchasing group, LLL and LYL
I used the standard indicators for S - block  2 - RFQ/PO and I created two release strategies A1 and A2 for Rel grp R1.
    A1 - release Code: F1, Classfication: Plant 0001, Doc Type : NB, Value : > 0.00 EUR, and Pur Grp : LLL
    A2 - release Code: C2, Classfication: Plant 0001, Doc Type : NB, Value : > 0.00 EUR, and Pur Grp : LYL
The problem is when I tried to created the PR, it doesn't work at all. No trigger whether I click the "check" button at the toolbar of the PR (i.e., the release strategy tab not appearing at the header). I also tried saved and display the PR and see if the Release strategy appears at the header but still not triggering.
    Can you folks advise?
    Thanks
    Lo

Forgot to check the box "Overall Release" forthe Nb doc Type. The problem is now solved.

  • PR RELEASE STRATEGY PROBLEM

I am getting the following two error messages in the error log, while creating the PR Release strategy,
    1.No release group exists
2.Characteristic CG_COE_RS_1 not linked to communication structure CEBAN
    Please suggest

    Hi,
    Point wise answers as below:
    1) SPRO>MM>Purchasing>PR>Release Procedure>Set up Procedure with classification>Release Group and release code
Create Release Group and also give release class, which you have created and assign this release group to your release codes.
    2) SPRO>MM>Purchasing>PR>Release Procedure>Set up Procedure with classification>Edit Characteristics or (T.Code:CT04).
For the respective characteristic, in the additional tab you have to give Table name as "CEBAN" and field name as your corresponding field name

  • PO release strategy problem

    Hello Friends
    Who can help me?
I created one PO, then check in ME23, and found release strategy for this PO is 'VS', but when I  check PO release strategy in customizing, it's not defined for PO release strategy.  So, how strategy 'VS' is assigned to PO during order creation?
This order can't be released in ME28

  • Release strategy problem

I am working on configuration of PO release strategy.
I have two plants in one PO. I included both as values in characteristics and then selected in OMGS (classification) but release strategy is not working when I created purchase order with both plants but works with single plant.
    Does anybody know why ?

    Hi,
Release strategy for PO with  line item charcterstics like Plant, item category, material group etc., gets updated into the structure CEKKO as blank if two different values found in a document.  For this type you need to create a assign a value as blank for the Plant.
Ex: Release strategy S1 for plant 1000 with Charctertic value 1000
Release strategy S2 for plant 1100 with charcterstic value 1100
Release strategy S3 for both plants 1000, 1100 with charcterstic value " BLANK"

  • Release strategy problem in RFQ

    Dear cons
In release strategy of P.O we are using  three characterstics. I.e- net order value, purchase group & plant. Wehave not made any Release strategy setting for RFQ..while we are creating RFQ the system ask to release the RFQ. wHY.wHAT IS THE REMEDY FOR THAT. BECAUSE WE DONOT WANT TO RELEASE THE RFQ. I saw which data I have entered  for P.O release strategy The same data is available In RFQ path. The path is img-material mang- purchasing- P.o- rel. PROCEDURE for P.O- DEFINE REL. PROCEDURE FOR p.o. you can check same data is avaiable in RFQ PATH.

  • Putaway strategy problem

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement  relevant to putaway:,
My client is using all pallets  just joining them together in the warehouse and material placed on mixed basis. when ever the
material comes they find the empty space through out the warehouse and it will be placed. there is no pallet capacity and
no markings, many pallets has joined together from one place to another place and they consider it as one bin. I have to define
a putaway strategy for the same.
If I use SUT strategy, there is no material specificity per bin and the qtty as per them, in bin many material will come with different shipping dimensions.
Please give a suggestion for the same. your help will greatly appreciated.
    Thx in advance.
    Regards
    Raghu

    Hi
You can try put away strategy B or C
B is block storage and you can specify how many pallets can fit in and even how high you can stack them
C is ope storage for which you can place as many pallets as you want
    I hope that this helps

  • P.O Release Strategy Problem

    Hi,
I have a case in our production system, where we have a release strategy for P.O, which has got 3 release codes.. Say strategy is A and Release group is B.
When I create the P.O, The release strategy B A is being called, but inexplicably, I see 4 release levels,  I go to SPRO and check the Release Strategy B A  but in that strategy too, only 3 levels are maintained.
I went to release simulation, here I see 4 levels !! Where if the approval is given at the 3rd level, the 4th level is automatically shown as approved, and the P.O gets released.
I am curious to know, from where did this 4th level of approval come from, even though it is not defined in the config of the release strategy.
The release code description for the 4th level (the additional level) is Financial release, I was wondering whether this additional level has got something to do with some setting done in FIAR/AP-Business Transactions...
Can someone throw some light on this.
    Many Thanks
    Shailesh

    Hi Nick,
I also thought the same, but to my utter surprise, I see only 3 levels in the release pre requisites, while when I click on simulation, I see 4 !!!
However in the P.O as well as in simulation, once the 3rd level approves, the 4th one which is the Finance release happens automatically .
I am trying to understand how did the 4th level come in from, Is it some other finance config setting?
    Thanks
    Shailesh

  • Purchase Requisition release strategy problem

    Hi,
We have maintain the Item wise PR Release Strategy in three levels (1-Site In-charge, 2-Project Manager, & 3- Director). PR release is in sequence from 1 to 3 but in any case changes required after full release in PR we need to restrict the user for sequence unrelease from upper to lower one then change. Now lower one unrelease the fully release PR and change it. So please suggest me for sequence unrelease from upper to lower one then after changes being possible.
    Thanks.

I believe you should have addressed this question to some of ERP forums as the current one is for ME application.

    hi
    MRP Planning Strategy for SAP
    Strategy 10 - PIR Type - LSF
Net requirements planning. That is even the warehouse/storage location stock is also taken into account besides planned receipts / issues during planning for calculating the order quantity. Planned Independence Requirement quantity is reduced at the time of Goods Issue for delivery.
    Strategy 11 - PIR Type - BSF
Gross requirement planning. Warehouse / storage location stock is not considered, and only planned receipts / issues are considered. Also Planned Independent Required quantity is reduced during Goods Receips for production / planned order (Repetitive).  It is generally recommended for mass production industries and process oriented industries where the production has to be carried on, regardless of the stock available. The constraint in such industries is that it is not economically viable / possible to stop production.
Strategy 30 - PIR Type LSF - Production only with sales order (Demand Management entry are ignored during MRP run)
Maintain the following master data for the finished product:
o Strategy group 30 on the MRP screen
o Availability check field (on the MRP screen and the Sales: General/Plant screen) so that you can perform an availability check with replenishment lead times (01 in the standard system)
o Item category group (for example, NORM) on the Sales Organization screen
Strategy 40 - PIR Type VSF - Make to Order Production - Production triggered by sales order. (Widely use around the world.)
Planned Independent Requirements will be reduced by sales order delivery to reflect the current  stock requirement. (depending on your configuration, sales order will consume the VSF (planned independent requirement) quantity on the same date or two to three days away from it)
You can set up the consumption parameters in the material master on the MRP screen.
Check whether the fields Consumption mode, Bwd consumption, Fwd consumption contain entries. If empty, default values are taken from the MRP group parameters in Customizing. If these fields are filled in the material master, they override the MRP group parameters.
In MD04, VSF will disappear once it is consume by the sales order
4.6c Choose Logistics -> Production -> Master Planning -> Demand Management -> Evaluations -> Display total requirements. (The Total Requirements List shows only those sales orders that have reduced the independent requirements.)
    Strategy 52 - PIR Type - VSE
The lot size key EX must be set in the MRP screen because lot size optimization would be incompatible with the allocation logic, which could result in over-planning and incorrect result in the ATP check.
You also must ensure that no rounding profile or rounding values are taken into account.
Maintain consumption parameters (Consumption mode, Bwd consumption, Fwd consumption) so that the independent requirements can be found. For more information, see Consumption Strategies and Logic.
Maintain the item category group (for example, NORM) on the Sales Organization screen.
A BOM is required for the finished product. There are no major implications for the BOM components. However, it is important to note the following:
You need to set the MRP type to P* (or M*) on the MRP screen to plan the components in MRP.
You may want to consider setting the Individual/coll. Indicator to 2 on the MRP screen as a starting point for your master data setup.
    Strategy 63 - PIR Type - VSEV
Set Ind./Coll. Indicator to 2 in MRP4 View for all your lower level components. It allows you to build or purchase some components only after receipt of the sales order.
    hopre it help

  • How do I change a single page in a template site without detaching it?

I'm using a template for the first time.  Please help.  The template has an editable content area that is a certain size.  At the bottom of the page (below this editable content area) is a footer that is part of the template and is thus non-editable on all pages except for the main template page.
Here is the problem:  I want to put a taller image on one page (the image will go in the editable content area) but it is taller than the content area I had set aside in the template.  Once I place it there, the footer (which is fixed in the template) is across the lower part of the image.
I don't want to detach the page from the template unless I have to because I want updates to be site-wide.  How do I enlarge the content area on that one page so that it will not affect the content area on the other pages and will still, on that one page, move the footer down so it won't be across the image?
I have tried a lot of different things.  Thanks for answering here and at this e-mail:  [email protected]  I appreciate it.  Richard

Without seeing your page, this seems less like a template problem and more of a design strategy problem.
You should be building flexible pages that can handle increased content, text-sizes, image sizes, etc...
CSS height property is a restriction in all but IE browsers.  Either remove height property from your content areas or consider using a more flexible min-height.

I am using Yosemite. I have a recurring monthly event for Payroll on the 25th. But, when the 25th falls on a weekend, I change it to the previous Friday.
To make this change, I drag the recurring event to that Friday. A popup says it will change all recurring events to that date.
