Streaking in Image, Bad Print Head - but Which One? HP Deskjet 130

In my poster prints there is subtle streaking and discoloration.  From two years of printing I know this means: print head issue.  Usually I just buy all new print heads and am done with it but business has been slow.  I need to figure out which print head or print heads are the culprit.  I would save a lot of money not replacing all six everytime I have this issue.
I replace all my print heads on average 4-5 months.  Right now it costs almost as much to run the printer as I earn from it.
Would really appreciate any helpful tips.  Thanks!

I have a L7680 All in with two new print heads but the new cyan/magenta shows yellow monitor status. Ink status, cyan more than 50% and magenta is a 25% w/no low ink warnings... Just ran a clean print head again, print out looks good now but the status of the new cyan/magenta shows yellow monitor status. Is it time to buy another..When I purchased this printer it had to be replaced 3 times because of problems... Just a lemon?
thx for your help in advance...

If you are looking for high quality drives and enclosures I'd recommend these 3:

I use the LaCie's, I've got three connected to my system and a 4th acting as my TM drive on my MacBook Air. Any of the above would be welcome on my desk though.

  • I am considering buying a new MAC laptop to run LOGIC for composition and band live/recording, but which one is best as I do not want to spend too much money? Does it have a line in and how do you monitor sound? Will I need adaptors and a interface?

    Can anybody help?
I am considering buying a new MAC laptop to run LOGIC for composition and band live/recording, but which one is best as I do not want to spend too much money?
Does it have a line in and how do you monitor sound?
Will I need adaptors and an interface?
Also, I am guessing as Logic only runs on MAC surely then they would not the best spec to recommend to run it?
I see all the upgrades as additional memory or a faster process?
Is a retina screen necessary, and why flash based storage against a 1TB hard drive, and a i5 instead of an i7
The main reason for this purchase is to play live and use backing tracks and record found sounds and make creative songs.
I hope you can provide some valuable feedback, as I am a longtime MAC user and see upgrades and changes happen regularly but the most important thing is the songs not the equipment.
I have £500 already and willing to add another 500 to 700 pounds, then software extra.

  • 2011 Macbook Pro 13", But Which one?

Hello, I want to get a Macbook Pro but I dont want to spend a lot of money if I dont need to. I was thinking between either of the 13" models, but which one to get? because the only difference is i5 vs i7, and 2.4GHz vs 2.8GHz. Basically what I will be doing is basic note taking and web surfing, youtube videos and stuff like that, but I will also use it with my HD PVR  and EyeTV 3 to record Xbox 360 Gameplay. I've  looked at the requirements for the HD PVR and either macbook is good enough for that, but I dont know if I get the Base model will it fail on me if im using iMovie and rendering a lot of videos on it. I saw a review (idk where) about the two and the guy said it wasnt too much of a performance boost so idk.

In my opinion, your into video/performance, a 15" anti-glare MBP would be more appropriate machine.
Also I assume you like to play 3D games? The 13" won't comply, it has a integrated graphics is lousy on 3D rendering.
The 15" has a nice 30 or 45 scoring on Cinebench, the 13" only 11.
    http://www.cbscores.com/index.php?sort=ogl&order=desc
The anti-glare costs a bit more, but you get to see the screen in nearly any enviroment, outside, in the car, on the bus, in class etc, without having to block the windows and lights.

8GB of RAM wil give a little boost, but I would wait to see if you really need it before opening up your machine and possible doing damage that will void your warranty/AppleCare.
Also if you dare, 16GB of RAM is avaiallbe at OtherWorld Computing for $250. It of course will come down in price over time.
    Good Luck

  • ""Connection to the server failed" on Iphone - but which one?

When I open the default Mail App on my iPhone 4S I get the error "Cannot Get Mail - the connection to the server failed". OK, but which one? I have six email accounts (all of which have worked at one time) so  which server is not connecting? It'd be nice if IOS told me! Any solution, please?

I may have solved the problem myself, only to find another one.
If I tap each of the accounts in turn, I find that it's the 'Exchange' one that's failing. trouble is, I can't recall what this does, or why I set itup, as i don't use MS Exchange. I suspect it's connected with syncing to either Outlook.com or Gmail, but I'm not sure.
BTW, I still think the error message should say which account is generating the error - Apple stuff is supposed to be easy and intuitive, and this isn't!

  • I was thinking to buy screenprotector, but which one?

So, I decided to buy a tempered screen protector for my 6+, but which one is recommended, I was looking at the
Muvit iPhone 6 Plus Screenprotector tempered glass 0.33mm

There's not much of a jump from the T4i to the T5i; Canon releases updates to these Rebels so frequently they often lack substance.  Looking at the specs I don't see anything that jumps out at me - I'd grab whichever one I could get cheaper.
The 7D is a substantial jump up.  Much more sophisticated autofocus.  Faster burst rate, shorter shutter lag, weather sealing, better build, better LCD, viewfinder coverage, etc.  Keep in mind it's the same old sensor, but there's a lot more to a camera than a sensor.   The 7D has been the go to camera of sports enthusiasts for years.
Edit:  I didn't mean to sound like I was selling the Rebels short, I think they're a great camera for the price, depending on your needs.  There are things that more novice photographers may prefer in a camera over the 7D, like built in flash, or the flip out screen, or in-camera HDR.

I don't think it is wise to generalize this much about which update method will result in fewer problems for various users. Certainly, if there are signs of preexisting problems, and they point to corrupted system files that one of the larger downloadable updates would replace, it is an effective approach, but OTOH using Software Update will result in much smaller downloads (here, typically about 150 MB vs. the 400 MB+ manually downloaded ones), so there is less of a chance of a corrupted download or running up against daily download quotas or getting an unexpectedly large bill if an ISP charges for that.
Plus, since Software Update inherently & automatically does the SHA-1 Digest check that most users don't bother to do with manual downloads, there is much less chance of getting a bogus updater from an unintended source.

  • Adaptator mini dvi to vga but which one ?

    I have a macbook white of 2006 ( macbook 2,1)
I know im not on the good part of the forum but i need a quick answer:
    - i want to use an external screen so i ve been told i need a mini dvi to vga adapator, my question is - is there only only adaptator or several for differents vga outputs ?
Ty to give me purchase link in france if possible !
    Thanx a lot

If you have the old DVI (not mini DVI) you would need a different adapter which Apple no longer sells. The DVI is a much larger 28 pin (I think) connector much larger than any other output port. A mini DVI is smaller that a USB port.
If you have the mini follow OGELTHORPE's link if not here is a link that you might be able to purchase from, as well as a look at it.

  • Two phone lines on the same SIM card - but which one is active?

I have two phone lines on my SIM card. Of course, only one of them can be active at one time. The switch between them is done through a SIM application which is loaded on the SIM card (supplied by the carrier)
My question is that, sometimes I forget which line is the active one. Is there any way of seeing my active phone line?
All my prior not-so-smartphones showed Line1 or Line2 in the home screen. But i could not find if iphone does this.
P.S. settings-phone-my number does not answer this question, as it always displays the phone number that the iphone is registered to.
    Thanks

Your husband needs to put his sim in an iPhone & turn iMessage off to fix this. If your husband setup a support profile with Apple, he can also login to that support profile & remove the phone.

  • Satellite P875-S7-102 needs driver but which one? PCI device?

My Satellite -P875-S7-102 computer with Windows 8 crashed recently while updating to Windows 8.l  It was repaired and my personal files were saved but not much else. The function keys don't work now and I have a message that tells me the driver is unavailble.  My computer repair person has said that he was only able to install the basics and that I needed to install the other things from Toshiba from Tosiba.. Because I am not a computer person and have no idea which driver I need to install, I am here asking questions. Atheros sounds familiar for some reason, as does Realtek, but there may be others I need.
I looked at how to identify which driver I needed and I looked at all the drivers but was not sure what to do. If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it.  Thank you in advance..

..crashed recently while updating to Windows 8.l  It was repaired and my personal files were saved but not much else..
I would restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. All the drivers and utilities are properly preinstalled. Windows is preactivated.
Since you failed to create recovery media, obtain it from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here.
For instructions, see the section Restoring from recovery media, which begins on p. 60 of the User's Guide.

After all that, you'll need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 again. Follow these instructions to do it properly.

  • Want to buy new IMac  but which one?

    Hi guys,
Firstly I want to say that I do not own a Mac yet but am looking to buy one, I have very limited experience with them and am not sure where to start I also only use computers for general stuff like internet browsing watching a movie or 2 and sometimes editing videos, I don't play any games either. I am also not really up with the ins and outs of computers so bear with me.
I'm looking at getting an IMac 2.66 or 2.8GHz but I have a few questions.
Would you suggest that I buy the 2.66 as it looks like the same unit except for the processor speed and save some money for some more memory? Just on that I would probably buy the memory seperate and not get it upgraded when buying the IMac right? Because of the cost I could get it much cheaper elsewhere yes?!
A question about internet & Broadband use, I live in Darwin Australia and am using Bigpond Broadband ADSL 20000/512kbps I am not sure what I need to do to hook up an IMac, do I just use a ethernet cable as per PC do I need any other hardware for either model 2.66 or 2.8GHz?
I guess that's it for now, I hope you can help me, I'm sure you can.
Anything else you can tell me will be helpful as I'm keen to get one and get started.
    Thanks

    Hi BB4L -
I'm from the UK so not sure if I can help re the broadband question but I'll try my best. I use the 20inch 2.66GHz iMac at work and whilst the screen isn't amazing, it's a great, fast machine and would suit your needs perfectly.
You're right, you'd notice hardly any benefit between the 2.66 and 2.8 machines. They have the same HD, RAM and graphics card. You'd be better off spending the extra cash on maxing out your RAM to 4GB - this will give you a more significant speed increase. And don't use Apple to upgrade your RAM, buy it from somewhere cheaper and install it yourself - it's extremely simple. The instructions are [here|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1760]. A good choice of RAM is [here|http://www.crucial.com> although I'm not sure whether there's an Australian outlet. I just found [this|http://www.buymac.com.au/store/computer-addons/mac-memory-upgrades/imac/i mac-intel-core2duo-penryn] site but obviously have never used them so couldn't say if they're good or not.
In terms of broadband, if you already have a modem/router box which came with your broadband then you can hook it up with an ethernet cable or connect wirelessly if the box is a wireless modem/router.
    Hope this helps.

  • A control surface? but which one?

Hi, I'm pretty new to Logic but immediately recognise that it would be nice to play with Motion Synth parameters with easily manageable controls one handed... I can see the advantages of having these controls over trying to mouse them.
I don't really want to spend a packet and have been looking at the Behring BCF2000 but I'm not sure that it will do what I want it to do. I have spoken to various people at shops who say it has an LC mode but when I say that I want it to twiddle parameters on the synths they all get a little hesitant.
So, I'm sure somebody has tried it? any luck? Incidentally I don't want to buy a cs with a keyboard, I already have a Keystation 61es and space is a bit of a premium in my study :P
Suggestions? Is this product the best for what I want (bearing in mind it is cheap too) or should I look at something else?
    Regards,
    -Andy

Well, thanks for all the input folks.
I did buy the BCF2000... I can't say that it does 'all it says on the can' because they write very little on the can to start with and actually I have found that it possibly does more than is claimed.
I have only played with the unit so far in LC mode, which seemed to have been developed for when Logic was an Emagic product.. this thing is ancient and the Behringer details don't even acknowledge that Logic is an Apple product.
What I can say is in Logic mode the faders immediately map to your mixer levels and you can bank switch between them using the Preset buttons.
In Pan mode (Edit button lit) the Rotaries control the panning correctly and there is a an easily accessible bank assignment for Plugins (Lean Button lit) that I can use to to assign the rotaries to Synth controls without messing with the Pan assignments.
I haven't figured it out fully but it is at least as good as what I was looking for and if and when I find out how to set up multiple plugin banks in LC mode it will be awesome.
    Kind regards,
    -Andy

  • User gets locked by an external system but which one?

    Hi,
In an abap system, we have changed the password of our administration user. Afterwards, this user gets locked every 5 minutes, obviously because the user and old password has been used to set up communication from another system to the abap system. An RFC connection for instance or whatever. Sure it is possible to check all the systems you can think of to see if the user has been used for such a purpose. But how can you see in the system itself where the call comes from that locks it? I have tried the gateway tracefile but without success. Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    GK

    Hello,
    I would try transaction STAD.
There you should find entries of type RFC with your user.
If you double-click on the line, you get the details. Click on the RFC button.
                                  as Client             as Server
    No. of targets                   0                     1
Click on the highlighted 1 under "as server".
You should get the needed info : the remote destination
    Target         TEST_DEV
    User ID        TESTOC
    RFC Caller     OCHRETIE
Local  destin. bt1suk17v1_DEV_02                IP address xx.xx.xx.xx
Remote destin. bt1suk16v1_DXI_68                IP address yy.yy.yy.yy
    Hope this helps

  • OK you win, i'll PSU upgrade - but which one ?

After checking the stickies and reading through loads of posts i'm thinking of upgrading my PSU already, it is only one month old but i got it dirt cheap s/h off someone who was upgrading. It would appear that it doesn't match the recommended minimums, although i have to say that my new computer is running very well at the moment. Mine is just a simple family home use computer and will not be used to do any heavy gaming etc , also i don't intend to O/C or anything tricky.
As I've already got an Antec case the brand does appeal , with this in mind PSU's I'm looking at at the mo are TruePower 380, 430, 480,550. Financial constraints are an issue as i don't have a bottomless pit ( having well overspent already on the simple upgrade of my old Compaq). The Antec Truepower 430 being my fave compromise for published performance stats and price ( 5v- 36A, 12v- 20A, 3.3v- 28A).
Any expert advice before i take the plastic out ...(again )

If your computer works fine for now and you dont plan to push it, do you really need to upgrade your PSU?
Otherwise, any Antec or Enermax of 400W+ will do for your system. If you plan to upgrade your computer eventually, the bigger the better.
For example, the new top of the line video cards are now recommanding PSU of 480W minimum...
