Streaks on white MB?

Hi some streaks have appeared on the exterior of my white MB. I can see them only if I angle it against a light source. Any solutions? Or am I just a sad Machead who has to get a life? LOL

try some endust or some pledge for electronics and wipe it down see if that works... if not, then yes just a sad machead

Mac Pro Photoshop CS6 problems.

Hello All,
I have a new Mac Pro 3.2 Ghz quad core intel Xeon running 16GB of Ram (for now) on a Apple Display 30" When running very large files on PS CS6 the layers start breaking up into strange streaks and white blocks. Sometimes if I quit PS it goes away other times the artifacts are still in the file. Any ideas?

I wanted to follow up on my oringal post. I never did figure out the Problem after upgrading to 32GB of Ram and following many of the suggestions it did help a bit but on a rare occasion with huge files and layers open PS will stop working properly and lock.

My Elements and Premier DVDs are corrupted physically. How can I install them via online instead?

I bought Photoshop Elements and Premeire Elements 10 sometime ago and forgotten about it. The box was sealed but the DVDs had streaks for white stuff and thus the drive is unaable to read. How can I install it via online? Please lead me to the link that I can key in the serial numbers as I am unable to find in this website. Thank you. As they have never been installed, the serial number is not in the my Adobe ID account yet. Hence I wish I can freshly install them via online. Thank you.

Chrome or reflective finish... how ?

I have what can best be described as many light grey sausages sitting side by side, I want them to represent sausages made of aluminium,
Is there a quick way of getting them chromed up ?
I have used bevel and emboss to get the original light grey flat sausage shapes looking like 3D sausages, needing to have alternate sausages on alternate layers else the bevel/emboss does odd things to their abutting edges...... but the light grey is not giving me that reflectance I need.

Noel, thanks...I experimented with those settings and it certainly was better than dead light grey. Its when one wants to move say a highlight or expand and whiten it more that it gets frustrating as to just what to tweak in the settings, the graph thingy was yielding three fine stripes, I simplified the peaks and got nothing well defined, one has to fiddle and sometimes you get near then start to lose it again !
What did you use for the brushed metal effect on the flat 2D shapes ?
I have my 'sausages' abutting and at 45 degrees, but I also have some angled differently and I am going to have to apply the effect separately as they look 'muddled'. Wishful thinking but if only there was a way of the filter to identify orientation of artwork to give the correct reflection !
I added a light blue colouring using the colour overlay tick option in bevel/emboss as I reckoned I should see some sky either side of my harsh white highlight streak but it made the highlight streak blue, try as I might I couldnt get the blue either side of the highlight streak and high up with that highlight streak as white. I wanted it reflecting the colour of the base in the lower slopes of the sausage as would happen but also couldnt get it to do so.
If there was a way of choosing an upper reflection colour, a lower reflection colour and a highlight width that would do me, usually/traditionally for chrome airbrush artwork these would be blue, brown/green.
It certainly is an improvement on flat grey though !
JJMack, thanks for the advice, I think that artwork shown would benefit if the reflections followed the shape as would reflections on something of 3D body, has it that abilty ? the lettering looks like flat shet with mild surface twisting. I shall explore the suggestion further.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer: Still getting a vertical white streak down pictures. I have changed the yellow/black printhead. One helps note says I should try cleaning the scanner glass. Where is the scanner glass, and how do I get to it?
Any other possible solutions for getting rid of the vertical line? Thank you.

HI,
THis looks like a issue with the printer itself as it indeed is a vertical mis. A cartridge issue would cause a horizontal issue. What you can tru is cleaning the carriage rod, the metal bar that you see in the printer, and carefully clean the transparant strip. Do this very carefully as its pretty delicate and if it breaks the unit is ready for trash.

My ipod turns off with a small white streak

i just got my ipod and when i turn it off i notice there is a small white streak in the top right corner of the screen. is this normal?

It seems to be just a small glitch. Try resetting your Ipod ( hold menu and the mid button for a couple of seconds). Then, if it's still there, I guess it's some kind of isolated problem. Does it change anything when you're using your Ipod?

Faint white streak on screen

I'm on my 2nd iPhone. The first had 8 dead pixels on the screen that developed over a 2 month span. Now my 2nd is having the same problem, except now there this faint white streak going down the top left corner of the screen. Soon after that streak appeared, 2 dead pixels showed up.
Has anyone had this same problem of white streaks on the screen?
I heard that both online and retail stores are sold out....apple care said Id have to go into a store to have it replaced???? Replaced with what if there are no phones available?

Apple stores will always have replacement iPhones available. They are generally refurbished iPhones that have brand new casing and screens so they appear brand new.

White streaks on photos

In getting really bad white streaks and bright white glows on photos.
Any suggestions why?

Are you sure the camera lens is clean without any debris or dirt on it? Also take a close look to make sure that there's nothing inside.

70d is producing shots with prominent white streaks! Cleaned everything. Sensor issue!? Thoughts?

My 70d suddenly started taking shots with a PROMINENT white streak! The smaller the aperture the more prominent it is...this led me to believe it may be a dust issue ( although I have never seen dust accumulate this way) so I thoroughly cleaned everything. It didn't seem to help. Any thoughts? It seems as though it might be a sensor issue...which I would hate to replace!

White horizontal streak across captured video

After I capture video on my MSI g4 4200 vtc8x and I play it back I get a horizontal white streak across the middle of the captured area. It takes up 2/3 out of the middle.
Anyone having the same problems.

When opening a new window, I sometimes get a black and white streaks in them. If you click on another window or try to scroll through the black window, it sometimes refreshes and looks normal.

It only happen on one of my computers. This computer actually has a faster processor, more RAM, and a better video card than my laptop which has no problems.

I solved my own problem. :-) I simply needed to change the "size" setting in my add-on "Theme Font & Size Changer" to a smaller number. Now the new windows don't require scrolling to see the entire content. But, I suppose for someone with serious vision problems, they might need to do the same thing, but then break out a magnifying glass to read everything in the window.....

A 2 week old 6500A Plus with white cones shaped streak in black areas of printing - unreadable

Ink Levels are ok - 50%. When I print a test page the 1" black area at the top will have a cone shapped area in the middle that is blank . Original Cartridge. I cycled thru the clean function an deven the advanced function. It worked for a couple days and then started doing it again. I replaced the cartridge this AM and it now works - What's Up??

The most likely cause is a blocked vent on the top near the front of the ink cartridge. Make sure there is no tape residue in the vent. See the information in figure 4 and 5 on this page. Click on the link, then click on show all.

Dropped iPod, white screen 60gb model.

First let me say I have done extensive research and have not found any viable solution to my problem. I dropped my iPod from about 5 feet off the ground. After I picked it up it had a white screen. I immediately tried to reset it, and it reset still with a white screen, but this time I could see all the menus. The only thing is, there is no text on any of the menus. I can scroll and get around through the choppy looking screens, I can even play music if I click enough buttons, but there is no text and the entire screen is choppy looking. You can even see the blue highlight showing which tab you are scrolling over, but alas there is no text to show which menus they are. On top of it, there are a lot of vertical lines in between the menu options. At reset, there are also 3 vertical transparent lines unequally spaced apart, all of which overlay the blank white screen.
I've tried resetting it a ton of times, letting the battery drain for 24 hours then turning it on, still didn't work.
The only thing I have not done is an attempt at restoring it. I am afraid if I restore it, it could screw it up even further to the point where I wont be able to use it at all.
Any advice is appreciated.

The same thing just happened to me about 15 minutes ago. I dropped my husband's Nano. It landed smack on it's 'back'. The screen is mainly white with blackish gray dots and streaks. I can't read anything but it plays.
Were you ever able to fix yours...or do I have to tell my husband that I broke his new ipod?

White Blobs on HP w2338h monitor

I turned on my monitor today and there are white blob streaks on the bottom right corner - does anyone know what these are?
Can they be fixed?

I can see from the image you posted the white blobs you are describing and I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try different cables between your computer and monitor.
