Stream 8 update frozen (and other problems)

Hello All,
I got a Stream 8 for my wife for Christmas, set it up for her and updated with windows update on Dec 15th 2014.  After Christmas, the tablet seemed to be working for her, but then became really laggy...
Problem #1
Windows Update screen will not open, and when I try to access it from the control panel the window becomes frozen.  I have left it on this screen plugged in over night, twice, hoping that it was simply a large update that would rectify itself if given enough time.
I was hoping to turn off automatic windows update to stall any automatic update while I attempted HP software updates
That Failed.
Problem #2
I attempted to Download the HP Stream 8 BIOS update after I went onto the HP site and downlaoded the HP install program.  That also got stuck at 0% overnight.
Failed to downlaod anything, so I closed the program and restarted
Problem #3
Windows Store Fails to load - just keeps spinning
Problem #4
Sound is terrible - tinny and digitized on 50% volume.  Speakers sound broken.
Any recomendations for attempting to fix the windows update issue?
I bought this Stream 8 tablet from the Windows Store , and it seemed to work for ~3 days...  I want my wife to be able to use this as a home tablet and travel computer that has much greater functionality for work than my Nexus 7.
Thanks for any guidance!

You need to update the information regarding what Mac this is and what version of OS X you're running.
You show a PB G4, which won't run the Mac App Store.

I bought over a Mac Book Pro from a friend. I can't update iPhoto and other apps as it seems like these are tagged to the previous owner's account. It basically requires me to sign in to my fren's account which is absurb! Because iphoto comes with mac isn't it?

Contact your "friend." Have him set up the MBP for your with your own account, settings and passwords. You are not running IOS 5.1. That is for iPhone and iPad users. What OS are you running? Did he give you the OS installer disks?

  • HT4623 Sound and other problems with Ipad 3 after ios 6.1.3 update

I purchased Ipad 3 last year and got problem of losing sound when I restored the Ipad throgh itunes. The sound came back automatically after I charged the device to 100%. Recently I got the same problem when the operating system was Ios 6.1.2 and then i got updated it to ios 6.1.3. The problem has not been solved while has been added up. Now the Ipad operation is slow, its either freezes and crashes frequently. Once it gets in sleep mode then it does not come back untill i press power button and home button togehter for sometime. I have checked all settings like mute and have restored the ios multiple times on two separate PCs but the problem is still there. Please help me what i need to do next.

Try a reboot of your ipad. Hold the Sleep/Wake button and Home button simulataneously. Keep holding, ignoring the red slider, until the Apple logo appears. Release the buttons and let the ipad restart. A reboot often fixes numerous problems.
Also are you aware that by suncing with a different computer it is likely the personal stuff you had on your ipad from your imac will be removed?
The ipad is designed to sync with only one device.

  • The update and other problems PLEASE HELP!!!

The ovi store on my phone asked me to download the newer version which I did, is there an update for ovistore on the computer because I haven't heard about it if there is one and it may solve the problems I have been having with it:
    1. I don't receive the messages when trying to get an app
    2. It wont let me down load apps when I connect my phone to the computer
(also on the nokia website it told me to click the download and install button to get an app when plugged into the computer but I can't find it..Any ideas where it is???)
please help i've had this problem since I first set up my account and its really bugging me now!!!!!!

    (Apologies for barging in Steve.)
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80071A91, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

  • Ios 5.0.1 crashing, slow and other problems

I am using an iPhone 4 running 5.0.1 and Im just fed up with it, as much as I loved the iPhone in the past Im afraid I have fallen out of love and I'm conteplating a breakup.
Problems I have had with the version 5.*.* update:
    * Safari and the built in youtube app crash at least twice daily and other apps, most notably accuweather and Facebook also crash on a daily basis
    * Pages/windows don't load properly, an example of this is the texting app, I open the app and select a converstation, the "messages" button, name and "edit" buttons apear at the top but the area that would disply the text conversation never changes to show the accutual text messages and only pressing the home button and reentering the messages app will fix this.
    * I have had text messages compleatly disapear if I recive one while acitivly using the phone, mostly by pressing the home button or preforming other input at the same exact time I recive a text message. I get the popup notification dispalying the text of the message in the notifaction but when I go to reply to the message It is gone, like it never existed.
    * Simply navagating the phone such as menus, back buttons, or loading apps is slow. I can out type the keyboard and in general the phone is becoming more and more usless. As an example, wakeing the phone with the home button takes upto a full two seconds for the unlock screen to open, then another full second for the phone to "think" before it unlocks. This is increadibly slow compaired to the previous versions, and much slower than my old iPhone 1 and my non-updated iPhone 3Gs
    * I use to have a problem where the purple arrow indicated the phone was using location services about 50% of the time and it was the setting time zone feature. I disabled location services for this feature and it fixed the problem. I did not notice an abnormal battery drain with this problem.
    * The keyboard will not hide and/or display at approprate times requireing me to restart the app.
    * Notication sounds, mostly incoming SMS sounds dont play at approprate times or play twice a few seconds apart for the same incoming message
    * Autocorrect is too easily learning misspelled words leading me to reset the keyboard dictionary too frequently
    * Incoming email and SMS messages cause the phone to loudly vibrate while talking on the phone, this is a new problem with ios5. I use to be proud of the iphone for not doing this becasue I talk to people with androids and found the vibration noise very annoying while on the receving end.
My phone is rather clean and I have very few third party apps installed. I use the facebook app, a weather app, and only a few other apps. My storage memory is about half full and thats almost entirly music.
I regualry power cycle and restart my phone, I would say at least once a day.
I have tried to fix the phone by disableing and enableing anything I can find from notifications, location services and icloud and nothing has helped.
I have also tried rebilding the phone, both from a backup, and restored as new. I have taken the phone to an apple store and had them restore it as well, they claim to be able to restore "deeper" than what I can do at home, I assume this is similar to flashing the firmware and not just the software. Doing any kind of restore does seem to help with the speed problem for about 2 days as it slowly gets worse and returns to its ever slow and defective operation.
I have not noticed any problems with my ipad v1 running ios 5.0.1
Two of my freinds complain about a similar experience with ios 5 on the iphone
Does anyone have similar problems or an idea for a fix?

Here's and update on my problems and here are are some screen shots of the types of problems I've been having since the v5.0.1 update. Keep in mind these are native apps and I have tried the rebuild phone crap many times, nothing helps.
This is screen shot of a what happened when I tried to use my camera one day, both the front and back cameras were all black. I had to power cycle the phone to get rid of this problem. The cameras appeared to be working correctly, I could focus and zoom but it was all black.
Here is an image of what happened when I searched for something in a map. This is after I picked the choice I wanted, the keyboard disappeared but the list didn't. I had to force close the app and restart it for this problem to go away. Who knew five bars on ATT was possible.
And finally this is the messaging app, although you would not know it. I had to return to home screen (after a long pause for it to process the button push) and return to the messaging app. This happens all the time with the messaging app and the notifications sounds drive me crazy. If  i'm using the phone, say browsing the web and I get an incoming message its almost 100% of the time the messaging app will screw up. The sound will play at the wrong time or not at all, message will show up in notifications and diasapear in message app or Ill have a problem like this:

  • CR Developer 2008 extremely slow to open... and other problems

    Hi all,
I'm having problems with Crystal Reports 2008
When I click on the icon, the CR window opens straight away, but it takes a full 8 minutes before the Start Page loads. During this time, I can't click on anything (theres just an hour glass).
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling (twice) and I'm still having the problem.
Also, once it eventually loads, I can't get to the Page Setup options. It just comes up with an "Out of Memory" error. I've tried removing all the printers as suggested elsewhere on these forums and reinstalled (as mentioned before) but the problem remains..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kyle.

Disabling the 'Check for Updates' option has solved the issue of CR taking a long time to load but the Page Setup 'Out of Memory' error remains.
I'm not sure I 100% understand what you're suggesting Graham.
I have 6 printers installed, all work fine with other software. I have tried removing and reinstalling them but the problem remains.
I've even removed all the printers, reinstalled CR with no printers installed (so it just has 'Fax Printer' and 'Microsoft Office Document Image Writer' in the Printers and Faxes window) and the problem still occurs.
    Any other suggestions?

  • IMovie Built in iSight and other problems

    Hello,
When I try to record a video from my built in iSight, iMovie loads for about 3 seconds and then crashes with an error report that I have included below. I don't know what the issue is, because I can still video chat and use Photo Booth without a problem. I have already re-installed iLife '11 numerous times, but the same problems occur with new problems arising at times.
My second problem, is that I can't import a single video from anything. I looked online and other people are also having this problem with videos from iPhoto and such.
An answer would be greatly appreaciated.
    Thank you,
    Yanick.

  • Audio (and other) problems noted with Keynote version 4.0.1

Since installing Keynote 4 and the 4.0.1 update, I have noted the following situations and/or problems:
    1) When doing a "save-as" the filename is appended with the suffix ".key" but when I subsequently "save" this file, the suffix disappears. The file seems to open and operate OK nonetheless, but this puzzles and somewhat concerns me that someday Keynote may not recognize the file. This happens whenever I "save" a slideshow after I have made any changes to it.
    2) When playing back a "soundtrack," the audio "glitches" frequently at slide transitions: this occurs repeatedly on my G5 desktop system but not on my MacBook Pro-17. The "glitches" always seem to occur at the same places in the track - which, of course, is also at the same slide transitions. (This problem has spawned several similar questions and threads in this forum.)
    3) Related to #2 above, the "glitches" also interrupt or corrupt the "recording" of that soundtrack, so that the synchronization is off when the slideshow is played back.
    4) If I want to have an audio track play under a series of slides, the only way I have found to accomplish this is to create a separate slideshow with the audio track running as a "soundtrack" and "record" the Builds and Transitions in sync with the audio. If I want to incorporate several of these shows together, I can create a "master" slideshow and Hyperlink each segment to the next. HOWEVER...
    5) When I "record" a "soundtrack" and "synchronize" the Builds and Transitions within the slideshow, everything plays back properly in sync ONLY when the slideshow is played as a stand-alone presentation (i.e. a cold start from the desktop). If I initiate playback of the slideshow via a Hyperlink from another presentation, the soundtrack plays but NONE of the synchronization works at all.
    6) The only way I have found to have an audio track "fade-in" or "fade-out" is to use off-line editing software to record these fades prior to importing the tracks into Keynote. The "Start Audio" Build function is simply a hard "cut" in, and the end of the track is a hard "cut" out.
These problems are consistent and repeatable facts. Whether they are "bugs" in the software or "design shortcomings" is uncertain. Nonethtless ...
At the risk of offending the moderators of this forum, I feel compelled to comment that these problems render the audio operations of Keynote less than satisfactory and should be addressed as soon as possible with another update to this visually stunning but audio-challenged application.

Well Ron S, I re-confirmed why I prefer not to look to tech support for support.
It seems to me that support's main function is to deflect any critical comments and push the blame back to the user.
Frankly, I have better things to do with my time and money than try to help a multi-billion dollar enterprise learn about itself.
So, for the benefit of you and the nearly 400 who have followed this thread, I offer you my latest and probably last attempt to have Apple acknowledge in some small way that "Houston, we have a problem".
I expect this reply will result in this thread being yanked as well, since I'm expressing negative thoughts about Apple's product and wishing they would do better, which is a non-technical gasp of utter frustration and disappointment. Note that "product" is singular, defining Keynote. My other Apple products serve me loyally and superbly, which is why my huge disappointment with Keynote.
So here is my correspondence with Tech Support. I've removed names except mine.
I think it speaks for itself. They have notes from my conversations with them that I have current Apple computers, including a MacBookPro, not an old PowerBook, nevertheless, they have told me that the problem is mine because the fabulous hyper-performing Keynote software is choking my poor old machine (paraphrased muchly).:
    Hi (support),
That's disappointing news, especially since this test was done on 3 machines: an old G4 400, a 2.0G Dual G5 and an Intel core duo MacBookPro which yielded identical results.
It is not a hardware issue.
I do not accept a brush-off that it is my hardware that is causing Keynote to be problematic.
I will assume that Apple is not interested in addressing these issues in public and that Keynote is substandard software that is in need of re-authoring.
Sorry to be so blunt, but Apple has set this tone with Keynote, and used its considerable reputation as a leading a/v technology innovator to imply that Keynote will deliver the excellence we Mac users have come to expect.
I have been a loyal mac user since the SE series and have enjoyed success with the machines and software offered by Apple, and depend on them for my livelihood. I'm currently using FC Studio6 and know that Apple is capable of maintaining its high standards.
However, Keynote fails to do that, instead behaving like a product that was invented in a teenager's basement and is in beta. I realize that it's not designed as a FCP level product, but it fails at the basic tasks that you advertise it will complete.
A version 4 product should work as advertised. Keynote certainly does not.
I'm deeply saddened that Apple seems to have become an iPod entertainment company, interested mainly in profits from entertainment rather than serious useful technology.

    Hello Sir,
Unfortunately, this does look like it's mostly a case of some of the new Keynote features slowing down the performance on the PowerBook.
At this point, there isn't much else we can do in the way of troubleshooting.
If you are not satisfied with the performance on the PowerBook, using the previous version of Keynote is probably his best option at this point.
We will continue to research this issue, but at this point it's unlikely I'll be able to find additional suggestions for improving performance, as it looks like it is is reproducible and limited to older models.

    Hi (support),
Thanks for your recent followup calls. I'm directing a video shoot so am a bit preoccupied.
Here are the tests I mentioned.
These are as simple as it gets, and I think highlights the synchronization problem with Keynote.
Test 1 is straightforward, and demonstrates that a single unedited recorded audio track will maintain mouse click synchronization.
Test 2 is the same file, but with audio modifications applied to each slide in succession.
This demonstrates a dramatic synchronization slippage.
The visuals occur before the click (and audio) markers. Keynote seems to be create delay in audio at each "record and replace" point. This accumulates as the audio is revised in successive slides.
These tests demonstrate that there is a fundamental flaw in how Keynote handles audio in its most basic application.
This does not address the slim toolset available, such as lack of insert capability and other basic audio tools, which is a separate design issue, and I suppose subject to "request for enhancement" feedback.
I've reluctantly abandoned Keynote for my project work at present until these basic issues are addressed and it can be demonstrated that Keynote can successfully execute its feature set.

  • AFP to a default host in AEBS (and other problems with F/W 7.1.x)

    Hi all -
I have a AEBS version N connecting a workgroup of several Macbooks and a Mac Mini acting as a app server/file server. This workgroup is connecting to the internet via the AEBS running WPA.
Due to the network configutation, I have 1 publically routable IP address (200.13.99.x), which the Mini needs in order to allow "outsiders" access to a database app. The other laptops can share a NAT address for normal email, web browsing etc.
After several attempts, I found the best solution was to set the AEBS Ethernet WAN manually to the public IP address (200.13.99.x), and set connection sharing to share a public IP address. Then using DHCP and NAT options, I fix and specify the MAC address of the Mini (10.0.1.2), and get the AEBS to enable a default host to be the public IP address (200.13.99.x -> 10.0.1.2).
So far, so good. To recap, the AEBS has the public IP address (everthing else has a DHCP 10.0.1.x address). When outside users need to connect to the database on the Mini, they use the same public IP that the AEBS has. It works perfectly.
NOTE: This ONLY WORKS WITH FIRMWARE 7.0. F/W 7.1 & 7.1.1 FAIL and do not allow any connections in this configuration.
My question is this: How do I enable people to connect to the Mini and mount the filesystem remotely?
If someone goes to Finder, Go, Connect to Server, then input the public IP (200.13.99.x), they attempt to mount the AEBS (which does not have any disks). How do I disable disk sharing on the AEBS and forward all AFP (disk mount) requests to the Mini (acting as Default Host)? I have attempted to Port Map Personal File Sharing, but when attempting to mount 200.13.99.x I still see the AEBS.
The fallback plan is to buy an external disk for the AEBS, but it would be nice not to have that expense.
    Any thoughts appreciated!
    Regards,
    Charles
    ===
Footnote: I have also seen a lack of stability in F/W 7.1.1. In addition to the above, I was having to restart the AEBS every week or so, and was also getting peridic connection problems to the Internet. F/W 7.0 seems fine. Hopefully these issues will be address in the next F/W release.

    Hi Robby
I don't know if you solved your 'register now' problem concerning LE7 & LE8. I suspect the error your making is trying to open up each project in it's initial program - i.e. 7 or 8. The computer sees it differently (concerning Library settings etc) and your problem will be solved (hopefully) if you open up things in the right order :
    1° Open Logic EX 8.
2° Then open the old project from LE 7. This should then open in your new system of LE8.
Of course if you wish to keep working on LE7 projects in LE7 then you'll have to change between each system as you go. You should remember that in terms of programs (with the same 'name/directory') that a computer works much like a tightly packed garage - if you wish to get out your old bike you'll have to move the new one first and vice versa!!
Normally you won't be asked to register again, BUT ... remember that you have to decide if you're going to save in 8 (and so keep working in that format) or not and I imagine if you've bought an update this is certainly your idea. Of course if you now decide to close LE8 and then start clicking on files in LE7 you'll be back at square one ..... register now etc. Please also remember that LE7 projects can work in LE8 but not the other way round, so once you've opened a LE7 project and made adjustments using LE8 you can't reuse 7 - I suggest you back up all your LE7 first on external/DVD support for later/backwards adjustments or reference.
Another small point to remember is that your computer will now be saving your project a second time in a LE8 format. So at some point you should remember that you'll be using valuable HD space twice over if you just convert and save in the new format - if you see what I mean?!

  • Registration requests and other problems with LE 8.0.2 upgrade from 7.2.3

Great upgrade. Improved sound, look and features, but:
    1. When I switch between Logic Express 7 and 8, I'm forced to register each version again & again.
    2. If LE 8 is left open when I put my computer to sleep, it won't recognize an iControl at wake up. After deleting the device from the surface controller set-up, rescanning it & resetting midi drivers, the play button won't work. It took until OS X 10.4.9 for Apple to get the iControl to work in LE 7.2.
    3. The instrument plug-in window doesn't come up after selecting a software instrument even with the box checked in preferences.
    3. If you've used a lot of preset voices in LE 7, the upgrade will require a lot of reprogramming. Tones like Jangly Jack are gone completely. Some missing LE 7 voices like the Ubiquitous DX can be imported into version 8 and saved as a channel strip setting. Logic 8 & GarageBand 3 lack a good DX7.
    4. The word Strings is misspelled in the channel strip setting window.
    5. Some LE 7 keyboard commands are no longer available in LE 8. For example, at certain times, you could move around an environment window in LE 7 with shift-plus and shift-minus keys. There was no way to program that in LE 7 either.

  • Backup or Clone Stalls at about 200GB and other problems

I cannot backup more than about 210GB out of 440GB on a 500GB boot drive. I have tried Disk Utility to create a clone of my boot drive and I have tried SuperDuper! to do the same thing. I have tried creating a clone on another internal drive and I have tried to create a clone to an external drive. No matter which drive or disk software I use, the backup proceeds quickly (25 to 50 MB/sec depending upon the drive) until it reaches a little more 200GB, then the backup stalls. In the case of Disk Utility, all of my Application and Library files are captured correctly, but my User files are not. SuperDuper! Starts at the bottom of the drive directory and captures most or all of my User files, but SuperDuper stalls when it reaches the Application and System files (including Library files). In both cases, as I mentioned above, 205GB to 212GB are transferred before the backup stalls.
My hardware config is just below and other symptoms are shown below that.
    2006 MacPro
Model Name: Mac Pro (September 2006)
    Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 10 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B08
    SMC Version (system): 1.7f10
Two 1TB Drives configured as one 1TB RAID Set (software RAID)and used for Video and Photos
Two 500GB drives. One is the boot drive and one was being used as a Time Machine backup drive until I started having problems.
    • Apple’s “Backup” Software does not complete a backup designed to copy Microsoft Office and Apple iWork files. The software scans more than six million files (there are only 900,000 files on my hard drive) and then fails.
    • The computer will not boot from the Mac Pro Install Disk. Every attempt leads to descending dark gray scree with the message, “You need to restart your computer.”
    • I cannot empty the Trash. I usually keep Trash empty, so there are never very many files in Trash. Recently I tried to empty the trash and the system started to count files to be removed an it quickly reached one million files after which I “Force Quit” Finder to stop it.
    • My computer was going to sleep frequently despite Preference Settings designed to prevent any sleep at all. I thought this was interrupting the backup processes, despite the fact that SuperDuper, at least, seems to stave off the computer’s attempt to sleep. I installed Caffeine and that stopped the unrequested sleep behavior, but did not solve the backup problem.
    • Recently my computer failed to find the boot drive. When this happens I can hold the “option” key during boot and select the boot drive myself.
    • I have reset the PRAM and VRAM.
    • The Install disk Extended Hardware test does not find a problem.
    • Disk utility does not find a problem with the boot drive although a small number of disk permissions always need to be fixed when I run Repair Disk Permissions. Most, but not all of the failed and then repaired permissions are related to Java. One is related to Parental Controls.
    • I reinstalled the OS by downloading and executing the Mac OS X 6.5 Combo update.
    • I have not installed any new hardware for about a year.
    • I am running Disk Warrior right now but it has not completed its check yet
    • I have started to use DropBox to protect my User files (mostly Office and pdf files)—get them off the computer, but I am worried about restoring my Applications if I “lose” the system.

Thanks to all of you; I appreciate your expertise and the time you take to help me out. I have made progress. Let me start by saying that my system has 10GB of DRAM memory. One of you commented that I might have needed more disk swap space, but I don't think this is likely. I do think file corruption is a possibility. I am interested in all of your comments but first, will you please explain this in more detail?
"Rebuilding the extensions drivers which are in a cache file, thru Safe Boot, may help - a good driver when installed should force the mkext to rebuild or be deleted, but not all do."
Now, here is the update that I provided to SuperDuper!... In my update I commented that Trash had many more than a million files in it--I think six million. When I deleted the application mentioned below, there is no way that I had that many files, or that much content associated with the app--something pathological happened. My system stability has improved but I will watch for a few more days before I declare victory. In a few days I will do a file system rebuild on the boot drive using DiskWarrior, but I am interested in learning what all of you think might be a better maintenance procedure.
    ----------------------<snip>----------------------------------
I fixed the problem and SuperDuper successfully ran a full backup.
I bought and ran DiskWarrior which showed that one directory in my .Trash file had about ten sub-directories in it and each one had more than 100,000 files. I think the true number might have been six times that. The directory in Trash was attributed to an application that I deleted recently--SugarSync.
I ran this UNIX command: rm -rf ~/.Trash. It took many hours to complete. When completed I was surprised to see that about 200GB had disappeared from my boot drive--all from Trash and nothing I care about. I ran DiskWarrior again and got a clean report. I repaired disk permissions, re-booted and ran SuperDuper immediately. It copied 249GB in 1:59:00 to an internal drive.
    Time Machine now also works.
I think I have some more cleanup to do but I appreciate your help.

  • Keyboard and Other Problems

For a awhile now, a few of my keys have stopped working: F1 and F2, and F5 - F12. Also, the power button on the keyboard will not work either. I'm not able to adjust the brightness of my keyboard or the screen, and I can't adjust the volume using the keys.
If I try to shut my computer down by using the apple button on the menu bar at the top of the screen, that will not work either, so I can't log out, shut down, or restart my computer.
Photo Booth stopped working also. I wil go to take a picture and it does the " 3 2 1" countdown but after that it will just freeze. I don't know if that has to do with any the other problems, but 'm still able to skype with my webcam, so it's just Photo Booth.
I'm not sure if there's any way to fix this myself, but maybe if there's a way to restart my computer some of the problems could be fixed.

I am having the same issue and I believe it started after the last update. It is definately not the keyboard because in programs like word or excel the fn F5, for example, still brings up the find function. I think it is an issue with the keyboard setting but when I go to preferences it opens the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. When I click on the Keyboard tab I get the color wheel and I have to force quit. I am also unable to open the Mac Info from the apple menu in finder. And I am unable to manually shut down or restart from the pull down menu. I think it was a faulty upgrade but I don't know how to fix it.
