Streamclip unavailable at download site

I apologize for a possible dual post under an ol topic that I subscribed to, but I really need an answer quick. Here's my question: when trying to convert a dvd into a file for importing into FCP, I attempted to use MPEG Streamclip. I have used this in the past fairly successfully. However, now, I continually receive the error message: "Your mpeg-2 playback component needs to be updated."
I clicked on the link as indicated and I get the message that the location has moved and that I need to go to: www.appple.com/quicktime/mpeg2update. However, when I do that, it says that it is no longer available at that location.
Where do I find the update and why do I need it, as I have Final Cut Pro 4.0, and QT Player 7.2

The MPEG-2 Playback Component is not part of QuickTime or included when you go "Pro".
You got both QT Pro and the MPEG-2 component with your FCP purchase.
You needed to buy a new QT Pro key when version 7 came out but the MPEG-2 component has always been a "one time free upgrade" purchase.
Since you can't log in at the Apple Store and review your purchases (you didn't buy it there) to get an updated version your only available "key" is your older FCP install.
Time is money and you may be better served buy spending the $20 for a new version of the component.

Installing a local testing server - download sites

This is my second attempt at setting up a local testing environment. The first time it seemed to go OK, there were just some steps I had to take that just didn't seem right though, which made me wonder if I had the correct installation files, correct set up, etc. At that time I had downloaded and installed the WAMP package.
So, I'm fairly confident it's WAMP that I need. I just want to make sure I have the correct install files. Could someone point me to the actual download sites for these things - there are so many options available with an internet search, I can never be sure if I'm getting the latest versions. Would someone mind posting the main sites for the following?
1. Apache
2. WAMP
3. MySQL
4. PHP
I'm also wanting these sites to ensure I'm getting accurate info for set up and usage, and not some half-baked you tube tutorial video or blog posts.

I use Xampp and it doesn't seem to have the Skype issues and it makes setting up your local test environment about as easy as it can be. Just install it and go. Then make sure you locate any of your local sites in the "htdocs" folder and you are ready to go. You can also tweak things to use a different folder for your web root, but I'm usually happy to just leave it as is.

However, when I open hot mail in IE it opens just fine. Tried changing the password as suggested but it did not help in Firefox.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

For me at least the problem was that I had the Region Format set to something else than my home country (Settings - General - International). I know it's pretty silly that the 12days app looks at that particular property to determine which gift it should give you.

It is a little confusing to find the patch that you are looking for. It is listed under the Oracle Fusion Middleware Family not under iDS family as you might expect. The patch number is 5983622. Also, be warned, it is a very large download (1.7 Gb).

Click on Mail Preferences > Accounts, select the account and insert the following in all the relevant fields. If you can't find where to put something let me know and I will try to figure it out.
This is for FiOS and I do not know if that's what you have, but perhaps this is a start:
Incoming mail server (POP3): incoming.verizon.net
Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): outgoing.verizon.net
Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465 Why is this important?
Your Verizon Online user name - try it with the @verizon.net part first, if that doesn't work just use what is before it.
Your Verizon Online password - be absolutely sure it is correct
Make sure "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" is checked.

Oracle8i/9i download site not working

I was trying to download Oracle8i and 9i from Oracle download site but wasn't sucessfull. I am using T1 connection with gozilla download utility.
Can someone update me whether Oracle has stopped its download site?

I'm also running into problems and it appears certain I'm not going to succeed downloading from Oracle. When I started trying this evening using Netscape 6.1, I kept getting that the download was complete after retrieving 0 bytes. I went back to Communicator 4.77 and the download of Linux9i_Disk1.cpio.gz has been running for a couple of hours, but at this rate (I only have a 56K modem) it will take over 40 hours to download the complete file, and even if nothing else goes wrong, my ISP always drops the connection after 24 hours, and I've never found a way to resume the download using Communicator 4.7x. A few months ago, I was able to use wget to download Oracle 8i Release 2 by including my OTN user ID and password as the values for http-user and http-passwd on the command line, but that has apparently been disabled now also. I realize the software is subject to export controls that Oracle has to attempt to abide by and that they would prefer to sell CDs, but it seems like there should be a better way to do this to accomodate those who have a slow connection and can't afford to pay for the CDs. (I don't really mind paying for the CDs and I actually bought the media pack for Oracle 8i Release 3, but right now I am unemployed, so I will have to wait at least until I find another job before I can buy the Oracle 9i CDs or consider paying for one of the OTN technical tracks.)

ITunes download site not working....

Hi guys, i've been trying to download and install the new version of iTunes for the past 2 days now. Since 07.30 yesterday morning to be exact. Yesterday i got to about 99% and then the download crashed completely and wouldn't restart when I tried to bring it back up again. Now, all i'm getting is "Internet Explorer Cannot View The Webpage" on the iTunes download site - has anyone heard anything about how long this is going to be going on for?

What operating system are you running? I doubt it's an iPhone OS on a Mac Mini, but if you meant to choose 10.4 then you're out of luck. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ At the bottom of the left hand column on this page, you'll see it requires OS X 10.5 or higher.
