Streaming audio from radio stations not working since 7/11/2014.
Adobe flash player update stalls during installation.
MacBook Pro
OSX 10.9.4
Safari Version 7.0.5 (9537.77.4)

Streaming audio not working in IE (works in Firefox)

EDIT: Problem solved. I upgraded to the latest version of the
Flash player, and audio now works.
I'm currently working on a presentation, and use SWFObject to
run it in a browser. You can see it here...

The SWF streams an audio track (MP3). This works just fine
inside the Flash development environment, and in Firefox. In IE I
can view the presentation, but get no sound.
I can directly reference the audio track in IE, and it plays
just fine in Quicktime. To further check this wasn't a general
audio problem in IE, I ran a YouTube video, and that worked just
fine.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

I'm going through Classroom in a Book for ActionScript 3.0 and I'm having the same problems. I beat my brains out trying to figure out why my simple link to the Flash site wouldn't work, only to find out the completed files didn't work either. They do seem to work in Safari so I'm guessing it's some kind of security setting ? It lauches the browser but just sits there without opening any URL.
Anyone got an answer for this ?

Live Streaming audio not working

I have a HP Pavilion Elite m9040n with Vista that is not giving me AUDIO on a LIVE STREAMING site where I am taking Continuing Education webcast. I am using Mozilla Firefox and did put in the newest plugin. I can hear u-tube audio (those video load very slowly and stop and start). I have Hughes Net satellite broadband connection. I tried disabling my McAfee while doing the program but that did not help.

What version do you see for Flash in System Preferences > Flash > Advanced

Help getting streaming audio to work?

I am a new user to Mac OS as of a few weeks ago. I'm making the transition fairly well.
Using Safari, I can't get streaming audio to work on my hometown radio show.
Here's the link to the home page... http://www.kdkaradio.com/ Near the top right of the page is a button to listen live.
I read somewhere that you have to have Windows Media Player installed and I did that and it still doesn't work. I thought you might need a plugin with Firefox and I can't get it to work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

To your question:
Windows Media Player does not play natively on Intel
machines. You need to use the free
Flip4Mac plug-in as a
substitute for WMP. Microsoft has stated they do not
plan to create a Universal Binary app. for the
Windows Media Player.
On my machine:
No go on Safari. When I select "live" I get to the
page showing a template of a music player, but no
sound.
On Firefox, a separate sound panel opens, however,
the feed stops before sound occurs. Strange though,
the various highlight feeds do play with no problem.
I suggest you contact the web developer at the
station for clarification regarding the Mac
platform, and just what is compatible with their
content stream.
I'm using Flip4Mac in place of WMP.

I'll have to check out your book suggestion.
I am still getting the same error, page not found when trying to listen live. All the other feeds work fine. I emailed the radio station to see if they could resolve the problem.

Are you using the Sky Go app to try and watch it ? If so are you logged in with your Sky account ?
If you are using the app then you could try closing the app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Sky Go 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Sky Go app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Unless you've tried ALL of these, you're not done troubleshooting.

Photo Stream is not working in Apple TV.

After upgrading to 5.1, Photo Stream is not working. An "Unable to sign in. The iCloud Terms of Service have changed" indication appears when trying to connect.

First thing first: are you logged in with the same Apple ID on the iPhone and the Apple TV?

Datek Streamer does not work with JRE 1.3.1_01

I am unable to load the Datek Streamer applet (www.datek.com) when using the JRE 1.3.1_01. I have tried using the JRE with Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2, Netscape 6.2, and Mozilla build 2001112104. In each case, the message "Java applet loading" appears in the space where the applet should display. Then the message disappears, leaving just a blank display area. This problem does not occur with Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 using the Microsoft JVM.
Any suggestions?

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I've tried JRE 1.4 beta3 on NS 6.2.1 and datek streamer does not work on that setup either. Read through a bunch of the forums and looks like there are some related issues. The two I saw crop up the most were NS 6.x internal embedding issue and a LiveConnect security hazard issue. Not sure if anybody figured out a permanent solution though.
Running Win2K, NS 6.2.1, JRE beta 1.4. Datek Streamer applet dies right after it loads the last file (usually the datek logo gif).
If anyone finds a solution/patch please post.

i know i thought well it's just a security update not a major update.
Best advice... whenever updating the OS, unplug all
firewire devices.

running the update again with all firewire devices
unplugged.
While the 828 is disconnected perform the factory
reset
again.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
-Press the Setup knob
-Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
-Press the Select knob
-Press the Value knob
-Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable
back
in
-Power the interface back on
i have the original 828 not mark 2, so no reset i know of, just power on off.
After the Mac updates... reboot and plugin the 828,
see if that doesn't get you going.

Tap Settigns > iCloud
Turn Photo Stream off then back on then restart your iPad.
Restart your device: Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
See if that made a difference...

Laptop left Speaker audio not working

I have dv-5 1102 tu model laptop, in that left speaker audio not working. But, in headphones & Speakers have no problem in both left & right audio.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your left speaker is not working on your dv5 notebook.
If the headphones are working it would tell us the sound card is fine. The same properties are applied to the speakers and the headphones in your audio control settings.
You could try a system restore to before the issue started to make sure it's not something in the operating system. To perform a system restore see the following guide: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) or Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7).

Without knowing all of the specifics in your situation, you may want to try these options:
- If you have a DTA, and your remote control has a LANG button on it, press it.
- If you have an HD or SD full cable box:
