What do i do to an itouch or iphone to stream music from IT to an Airport Express?
Both devices already on same network.

Streaming from iMac to airport express

I'm sure this has been beaten to death, but I just bought an airport express for the purposes of streaming music from my iMac to speakers in another room. What I'm wondering is how to set up the Express to facilitate this without having to buy a wireless router. I get the impression from posts I've read elsewhere that it can be done, but I haven't been able to find out how. My iMac is brand new, so it came with an airport card pre-installed, and it is connected to the internet directly from my cable modem (no wireless network to speak of).
Any help offered will greatly appreciated!

Streaming from iTunes to AirPort Express interrupted with good conectivity

I connect from my iMac to a radio in the kitchen via AirPort Express. The stream from iTunes is interrupted ever so often and the second speaker in AirPlay is dimmed. The connection to the AirPort Express remains excellent throughout. Restarting helps, but then it tends to happen again. Sometimes after an interruption it starts working again. I did not notice any specific timing or other activity on my iMac that could cause this.
Any ideas?

besides changing the radio channel used, also try this:
open system preferences
open network pane
select airport in the left list
click the advanced button
go to the TCP/IP tab
set the configure IPv6 field to OFF.
click OK
click apply
now try again to connect to your remote speakers.

Streaming from MacBook to AirPort Express

Hey, I need your valuable support.
My old B&W Zeppelin does not have the new AirPlay function therefore I bought an AirPortExpress to stream the music from my devices (IP4, IPAD and MBpro) to the Zeppelin. The configuration went well, streaming from IP4 to Zeppelin via AirPortExpress works great. But from Itunes on my MacBook.... it is not working. I can "see" the device in the AirPort configuration tool and I can choose the Zeppelin in Itunes, but then a window opens with an mowing bar saying "Connection to Zeppelin", but nothing happens. I created no password for the speakers......
What can I do to solve the problem, doing a reset does not help........ ****...
Has anybody an idea?

Can't stream music from iPhone to airport express when connected to internet

I have an issue with my airport express. When the unit is used solely for streaming music from my IPhone to connected stereo speakers without an Ethernet cable attached it works fine. When I attach an Ethernet cable to the airport express and connect to the Internet on my iPhone, the airport express will no longer stream music from the iPhone. This is a recent problem, previously I was able to access the Internet on my iPhone from the airport express, whilst simultaneously streaming music from the iPhone back to the airport express.

Do you mean Lan cable? Can this be done wirelessly from itunes to airport express without the internet connections? I can't connect to an airport express that's not connected to the internet.

I recently switched from LinkSys to Airport Express 802.11n. I love it, but I can't get the Wii to talk to it so I can stream NetFlix. I've found MANY discussions on this, but it's still not clear to me. Anybody have a step by step so I can fix it?

Well, the Airport Express is also compatible with 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. If your Wii is unable to connect to the wireless network, I recommended changing the wireless security of your network.
Open Airport Utility, select your Airport Express and click Edit. Navigate to the Wireless tab and change your security from WPA2 Personal to WPA/WPA2 Personal. Then click Update on the bottom right.

3rd party software like airfoil is a posibility but I think its a bit odd that I, using a mac omputer and a mac airport extreme, need to buy software to connect these two. So is there an other way to fix this?

I assume that you mean: Can I stream web-based audio files to the AirPort Express Base Station? That is, audio files not originating from iTunes ... correct?
If so, then (as far as your iMac is concerned) you already answered your own question with Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil. For iOS devices, you can use AirPlay with audio sources other than iTunes.

Thanks. Seems odd that apple allow music to be streamed through itunes to airport express but we cannot play the audio from movies through itunes.

AppleTV2 can't stream audio to my airport express

Dear Apple Support,
I just bought a brand new AppleTV2 (2nd generation) today and wanted to get my Apple setup just perfect - but AppleTV2 second generation dissapointed REALLY! You should definitely stick with AppleTV 1st generation.
AppleTV2 can't stream audio wirelessly from to for example you hifi-system. This is REALLY a downgrade!
I really hope that Apple's amazing development team will fix this as soon as possible via a software update.
The baseline of this comment is:
AppleTV 1st Generation can stream wireless audio to Airport Express.
AppleTV 2nd Generation can not stream wireless audio to Airport Express - which is a MAJOR DOWNGRADE!

Do I navigate to the Signal website via the Safari browser on my iTouch, and then install Signal onto the iTouch? Or do I install Signal onto my desktop Mac, open the app, and then navigate to the URL provided by Signal using Safari on the iTouch?

You can only locate, lock or erase your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

Stream music from iPad using Airport Express

I have an AT&T Uverse router for my home wifi network. I want to connect an Airport Express to a powered speaker, then stream music from my iPad (not from a Mac) to the speaker. Is this possible? If so, can someone describe how to do it?

Streaming from iTouch to Express?

Is there any way to stream from an iTouch to my Express via airtunes? The issues with iTunes 8 and firewall settings is one hurdle for sure. I just got the iTouch and have no idea of its capabilities in this regard but really have my fingers crossed.

thanks, Ill check it out. I can stream from my laptop to my pre-amp via the express, using it as a DAC with the RCA connection. However, I have to select "BelCanto" the name of my express in iTunes, along with opening up the firewall to iTunes to do this. The iTouch cant find the network for some reason.
