Streaming iTunes Match song on PC

Hello,
I'm having an issue streaming and downloading songs I have uploaded to the Cloud. I experimented by deleting an album from my local drive to see if I could download it or stream it in iTunes still. The song is 'matched' however when I try to play it it asks me to locate it on the local drive still. I cannot find the option to download it anywhere (the cloud column is blank). Please Help!
John

iTunes Match does not stream to iOS devices. All music listened to is downloaded.

How do you stop downloading itunes match songs to iphone 5?
Cell data is turned off but it is still downloading.

When you initially enable iTunes Match on any iDevice it is wise to let it operate for a good period docked or with good WiFi.
Best route to stop it if essential is to switch off iTunes Match.

Hello, my iTunes dates are crashed on my mac, how can I download all my itunes match songs and save on my mac?

    Hi mrmoo13!
You have a couple of options for transferring your music library from one computer to another. First, you can download all of your music that is stored in the cloud on iTunes Match by following the instructions on this page:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Access all your music anytime, anywhere with iTunes Match
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12284
You can follow steps listed in the section right here:
Play or download songs from iCloud
You can play songs directly from iCloud, or you can download songs so you can play them when you’re not connected to the Internet.
If a song is available in iCloud, it has a Download button next to it.
To play the song, double-click it.
To download the song, click the Download button.
After you download a song to a computer, it remains in the computer’s iTunes library, even if you turn off iTunes Match.
To only display downloaded songs in your iTunes library, choose View > Hide Music in the Cloud. This also hides any previous iTunes Store purchases you haven’t downloaded.
For information about downloading and playing songs on an iOS device, see the documentation for the device.
In order to make it easier to download all of your music, you can highlight all of the songs in your iTunes Match section and then click download, as mentioned in these instructions.
You can also choose to transfer the music from your old computer to the new one by following the steps in this article, whcih will give you some other options for doing this transfer:

  • AppleTV home sharing, I can't see my itunes match songs

I am using a new Apple TV. I set up home sharing, but I am unable to see my itunes match songs. I used my wifes itunes account for the apple TV. I am using my account for the home sharing. I have an itunes match account with a large library. I though that I would be able to use home sharing to access all of my songs. Now I'm having issues. Please help.

Try Store > Update iTunes Match from iTunes' menu.

  • Undoing iTunes Match songs downloads on my iPhone?

I have over 48,000 songs in iTunes Match.
All of my songs showing on my iPad are in the iCloud. But some of my iTunes Match songs on my iPhone are downloaded onto my phone and I don't want them to be.
How do I reverse them into just being in the iCloud?

That approach works when I am loading new music.
I have found it doesn't work for music that has been loaded much earlier in time. For those songs, the swiping my finger to the left approach doesn't work.
I noticed recently that sometimes the songs that appear to be downloaded on my phone - that show no cloud by them - will subsequently show a cloud, which might mean that they actually aren't downloaded on my phone but something isn't working or efficient with iTunes Match.
Has anyone had that happen to them? Are some of my issues potentially due to the number of songs I have on iTunes Match?

  • Only half of some iTunes Matched songs on my iPhone will play, then audio skips to next song in playlist!

Several (maybe 5%) of iTunes Matched songs on my iPhone do this... at EXACTLY 1/2 way through the song.
EXAMPLE: At 2:25 of a 4:50 long song (Shania Twain - From This Moment) the next song in playlist (Taylor Swift - Tim McGraw) starts as the audio skips to beginning of next song in playlist.  Oddly, Shania's attractive album artwork and title stays up while Taylor's tune plays (?)
When the timeline for the first Shania song hits the end, the artwork slides to Taylor Swift's CD Cover art and the timer slider adjusts to near the end of that song.
When I play same songs on the same playlist on iTunes (also downloaded from iTunes Match) this does not occur.
Does anyone else see this happen or are there any suggestions?
    THANKS

Hey Guys, from my late model iPhone 4, I am also seeing my iTunes Match songs terminate playing very abruptly ...some won't play at all ...others skip to the next track after 10 seconds.
I checked the source files on my iMAC, and they are 100 percent perfect.
Tried deleting them, recreating them, signing out and then back into iTunes with Match On & Off, etc ...still no resolution to these problems.
Maybe the MATCH product is crashing under it's own weight now?   It used to be good, but now I am not so sure anymore.
Please post if you have any solution or suggestions.
    Thanks!
    Pat

  • Can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. iPhone, iPad work fine.

I can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. It gives an error stating that only one Apple ID can be used at a time with iTunes Match and asks me to wait 72 days until I can download any songs!? Tried to turn off iTunes Match in an attempt to reset it. And now I can't turn it back on. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm pretty sure the songs will need to be physically present on the computer you are syncing the Nano with, but I'm not 100% sure.
Edit: I just attempted to sync music that I have stored in the iCloud, but not written on my harddrive to an iPod Classic and it only syncs the music that is present on the computer. I tried to grab a few iCloud file and throw it on the iPod, but I had to download them before it would work.
So, yes. You do have to have the files already downloaded to sync to a non iOS 5 iDevice.

  • My iTunes Match songs no longer show up in Songs, Albums or Artists after updating iTunes

I updated iTunes today on my 2nd computer (PC) and now when I go to Songs, Artists or Albums I only see what music files i have saved on this computer.  I no longer see the songs that I have through iTunes Match.  The only way I can see and play (stream) songs that I haven't saved on this computer is by going to Playlists and picking a song from there, however I don't have all of my music saved to a specific playlist.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Are you still signed into match?

  • ITunes Match Songs Keep Starting Over

I've been using iTunes Match since it first released and absolutely love it! However, I've been experiencing a strange thing the last couple of months and it's happening more frequently. I haven't changed any settings or anything - it's an issue that just started out of the blue.
I keep all my music in the cloud and stream it on my iMac. Particularly my playlists. Sometimes, right in the middle of playing a song, it will stop the music and put the song back at the beginning. Out of nowhere! All of a sudden the song will stop, I look at iTunes, and the play marker will be at the beginning of the song, and it's stopped. One particular song I couldn't even get through it because it kept stopping it and I had to start the song over and over until I just skipped it. I thought with the new Yosemite the issue might be fixed, but it's continued from the previous version into this new OS. I've never had that problem before songs in the cloud or playlists in the cloud, but this has happened a number of times over the last few months.
My internet connection is great (50mb download) and it's not cutting in and out. I thought that might be the issue because the songs in the cloud will just stop, as if the internet cut off the song, and then iTunes will put the marker at the beginning.
    Any thoughts?
    Hardware: iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory: 8 GB
OS: OS X Yosemite Version 10.10
    ITunes: 12.0.1.26

I have the same problem. It seems once a movie or tv show has a problem, it will never "complete" the download. It gets all the way to the end and then inexplicably starts over. Sometimes it says "processing" and then starts over. Frankly, I find there are more quirks with the iPad than my Android tablet. Just saying. Amazon's system, cloud player, and movie rentals blow iTunes out of the water.

  • Apple TV streaming iTunes Match?

Okay, so iTunes Match tunes in the cloud works great on the ATV2.... which has a very small SSD, acting as a cache, correct?
So, the cloud must be streaming right? I mean, it's obviously not filling up my harddrive on the ATV, so it must be streaming. Why can't the same be done for the iPhone as well? I assume this will eventually be a setting added to an iOS update at some point?
I can imagine a setting that lets you have songs downloaded from the cloud removed after playing them, or maybe removed after a certain time? Of course, you could still keep the download too, as the default setting if you wish. This would be the best of both worlds - streaming and storage depending on your needs/wants.

Working fine on my system. Can you provide more info on what is happening? Is there an error message?

  • Stream iTunes Match from Macbook Air?

I love how iTunes match streams right to my iPhone, so I can see all of my media without having it actually on my phone! Brilliant. However, is there a way to do thisa on my Macbook Air and iPad? Without having to download all of the library onto the device(s)?

On your Macbook Air, yes, you can stream from iTunes Match without downloading the songs. All you have to do is go to Store > Turn On iTunes Match in iTunes, sign in with your account and password, and your library will be populated by the list of music that's in your iTunes Match. This doesn't actually copy all of the music onto your local hard drive, and you can stream it.
On your iPad, yes and no. You can play all of your iTunes Match music on it, but just like the iPhone, it doesn't technically "stream." When you tap on a song to listen to it, it will actually download it to your device in the background. So the songs will take up space, but if you want you can delete them when you're done listening by swiping to the right and pressing Delete on each song (or album, or artist).

  • ITunes match songs won't load in iTunes anymore

I purchased iTunes match a while ago and was very happy with it. Normally, I could just open iTunes on my computer and in a second or two all my songs could be streamed or downloaded. Just today though, when I open iTunes, my songs aren't loading. All of cloud tracks appear as in below. You can't stream or download anything and by the Music tab there is a smal cloud icon that keeps appearing as if it's loading. Is anybody else encountering this same problem?

I had an issue similar to this.  I think the cause was an interruption in downloading a song from the cloud.  After that, it would not let me download any more.  Resetting the iTunes store cache under Preferences > Advanced, then restarting iTunes seemed to resolve the issue for me.
