Streaming music to bluetooth device

I just got a Motorola T505 Bluetooth for the car. It works great on a call but I can't get the music from my Iphone/Ipod to play on the T505. It is supposed to if they are paired which they are and the instructions say it must be paired and streaming??

Here is an article from the apple support website that might help out.

    When streaming music over bluetooth from my 3rd generation ipod touch to a sony device it jumps every 10 seconds and not just when moving or anything other devices do not do this just the ipod how can I fix this?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset the Sony device
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to repair the device and rejoin all wifi networks
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Streaming music using Bluetooth breaks up on new 4th gen. ITouch

    I recently bought a new iTouch 4 and now have trouble streaming music using Bluetooth...this did not happen with my older device, also 4G...any type of physical interference, walking between iPod and Bluetooth receiver causes a loss of sound...I have to set my new device next to the receiver to ensure no imteruption...with my older device I set it across the room and never had an interruption - I wish I hadn't dropped it off the roof of our house - by the way,it still works just looks like its been through a war...any ideas?

    - Try resetting network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Yu will have to repair BT devices and reeent network passwords.
    - The restore from backup
    - The restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
    If you still have the problem I would make an appoitment at the Genius Bar of  an Apple store.

  • Is it possible to stream music via bluetooth from an iphone 4S to a Windows 8 pc?

    I have a Windows 8 laptop (HP Envy 6-1113TX) with bluetooth capabilities, I thought it would be straightforward to pair the phone with the PC and stream music to my laptop speakers...not so, both devices report being connected but I can't seem to establish any audio services - has anybody been able to do this?

  • How to stream music to bluetooth?

    Anyone have pointers on how to stream music from my iPhone 5 to a Scala-Rider Q2 bluetooth unit?  I have paired the unit to my phone and can use it for calls but can't figure out how to access music files.

    Hey Meg,
    You were right on the money about A2DP. Cardo Systems informs me that my Q2 is a 'mono-only' device and thus does not have the capability of receiving stereo (A2DP) Bluetooth signals.
    For the information of others who may have viewed this thread, Cardo offers the following:  Q2 'Pro', Scala Rider G4 and Scala Rider G9 with A2DP capability.

  • What's the best format for streaming music via bluetooth?

    I've got a really nice car stereo that I had installed a number of years ago. I just replaced the head unit with a Pioneer unit that allows me to stream music from my iPhone 6+. It supports A2DP.
    Right now I've got my music encoded as MP3 files at 320 kbps.   Should that be sufficient or is there something about the A2DP profile that perhaps would make another format (like AAC) a better choice?
    I just want this to sound as good as possible. Thanks for any advice.

    Then adjust the equalizer settings on the head unit.  The difference in sound quality  between the formats would be negligible.

  • Interpret a byte stream from a Bluetooth-device

    Hi
    I'm having a problem with interpreting an InputStream from my Bluetooth device. I'm developing an application on SE P900, J2ME MIDP2.0/CLDC 1.0.
    Example:
    while((read = is.read(byteArray)) != -1) {
       receivedData = new StringBuffer();
       log("Read:  " + read + "bytes");
       for(int i = 0; i <= read; i++) {
          byte tmp = (byteArray);
    receivedData.append(tmp);
    log(receivedData.toString());
    log("Finish :)"); //This is never printet. read is never -1..
    //The result of my app in P900:
    //Read 2 bytes
    //3100
    //Read 2 bytes
    //0310
    The bytestream I get from the bluetooth-device looks something like this:
    byte 0: header
    byte 1: MSB
    byte 2: LSB
    byte 3: CRC
    I need to find out how I can interpret the inputStream correctly! It is possible that my output is wrong, so that the input is incomplete. But it'd be much easier if I could read the InputStream correct
    I've also tried to use the InputStreamReader, since it converts bytes to unicode, but that wont work. Have got a few examples on that, but in J2ME the BufferedReader doesn't exists so I cant it out
    Haavard

    simple:
    byte header = Datain.readByte();
    short length = Datain.readUnsignedShort();
    byte[] IDinBytes = new Byte[length];
    Datain.readFully(IDinBytes );
    String ID = New String(IDinBytes );this might also work:
    byte header = Datain.readByte();
    String ID = Datain.readUTF();but this is really hack, since readUTF() will first read two bytes to indicate the length of the string, and then the string itself. In this case, it works, but in general you should use the first example. Only use readUTF() if you have DataOutputstream on the other side that uses writeUTF(), in all other options, it's more or less a dirty hack ;)

  • Droid x ability to stream music to bluetooth

    Moved for greater exposure

    I'm not sure what your problem is. Are you saying you no longer can PAIR to your Bluetooth headset? did you try just Unpairing and re-Pair the devices? I don't see where it is an APP issue, but rather a Bletooth issue that you're having. I also have the MotoRockr S505 and didn't have to do anything after Gingerbread installed (I didn't do a RESET).  Try that first and let us know. I use WinAmp, and other Streaming Apps - they all still work.  I uninstalled Pandora - it broke (on my phone) after GB; it was rebooting my phone. I haven't looked into whether there have been updates since July to it.

  • Ipod touch 4 will only play music through Bluetooth device.

    My daughter's iPod Touch 4 iOS 6.1.5 will not play music or video through onboard speaker or headphones.  Music and videos will not even run unless Bluetooth is enabled and the device is connected to the Bluetooth speaker.  I have tried blowing out the headphone jack and different sets of headphones.
    Will restoring the iOS help solve this?

    As I said in a reply to your other post, it will help if you have a software problem. Not if it is a hardware problem.

  • Streaming on embedded linux device

    We are developing a product where our users will use their Spotify account to stream music to a device. The device will be running on a small linux distribution and will need to be able to make calls to Spotify and stream music directly on the device. A custom mobile app will be used to create and manage playlists on the users account, which correlate with the user account on the device. We would like to build the app using the Web API, we can see easily how this can be achieved for the mobile app and managing the playlists, however as far as we can see it does’t support streaming the full tracks and only a 30 second preview. We have successfully prototyped our app for the device using Libspotify and some other 3rd party libraries and extensions that rely on this library, however as these will no longer be officially supported we are not sure what we can use to develop our app. Can anyonetell me if the Web API will support streaming full tracks in the future? or what the alternatives might be for us to achieve our goals?  Many thanks for your help!

    for a more generic approach -- since mpd requires you to put the media on the server and only plays certain defined filed types -- pulseaudio might be interesting, or even dlna/upnp? that last one for sure would be the most cross-platform solution. then each client could decide for itself which kind of audio to pass to the hub, be it mpd, radio, youtube etc.
    interesing experiment you're doing here btw, i think more people will be interested in using a single small device that routes all their network audio to a stereo.
    p.s., in case you want to stick to the classic mpd setup, there are windows clients available incluing a handy firefox plugin:
