Streaming radio player for Webpage

I am interested in putting a radio player on my iWeb page ('08) that will play a streaming broadcast from the internet. Only need to play 1 station (no other MP3s). I have seen many for WIN, but haven't located any for MAC. The only one I have found (Radio Tuner) is a widget that goes directly into Dashboard. Haven't been able to place it on my page. Any ideas will be greatfully appreciated!

does it still play after exiting the website?

  • Streaming radio station times out

    After I'm listening to an iTunes streaming radio station for about an hour or so, the station times out and I have to click Play again. Is there a way to not have it time out - it's annoying...
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Good find. It's working for me. Much better than running Safari in Rosetta, which I had been doing.

    I have unlimited data and stream with an app called Rabiobee with no problem. I have friends with BB Curves who have no issue with the app.
    Thanks in advance
    Dan.

    Let me suggest first off, just a simple reboot, and try again.
    With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

  • How do I fix choppy streaming radio for firefox and xp?

    XP Pro w/ Firefox
    I have researched this for days, weeks, no solution.
    I would like to be able to listen to my favorite streaming radio station while I am also doing work activities on my computer. The sound is fine if I am doing nothing but listening to the station. But whenever I open files, ect. it stops and starts, like a stutter.
    I have tried different browsers, same issue.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Which streaming radio station is that? <br />
    Do you have any idea as to which '''plugin''' is being used by the "stream"? <br />Have you checked the Windows Task Manager > Processes tab to see what your Mem Usage is? You may not have enough RAM to be able to "stream" and use other programs at the same time. <br />That is the likely cause seeing that this occurs with different browsers.

  • Alternative for HLS HTML streaming trough JW player for users without Flash?

    Hello!
    I am using HLS TS Streaming trough JW player for the largest group of users that have flash for streaming video's.
    Is there an alternative for users without flash?
    Best regards

    I will just summarize myself...
    Adobe media server supports rtmp and HTTP(HLS and HDS)..
    for rtmp streaming the swf running in a Flash player is the standard interface...that flash player may be an activeX control/plugin in your browser or may be a standalone player downloaded from adobe website...Chrome web browser however users a slightly different( PPAPI based) flash player(which is different from Adobe flash player) and is developed and maintained by google.
    For HLS and HDS, you can either use special players(i.e swfs)(Flash based) developed Adobe by Adobe e.g Strobe meida player(Open Source Media Framework Blog | Adobe’s free and open source media playback system) or you can use players like jwplayer(Video Player Download | JW Player Online Video Player)... Incidentally jwplayer has added simultaneous support for playing rtmp streams too(which is reallly good), but i do not have much insight into workings of jwplayer...

    Wha's up with the I-tunes radio player not working now for several days? error message reads "an error occurred occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your internet connection or try again later" My internet connection is fine.

  • Looking for an mp3 player for a webpage

    because of apple I'm staying away from flash players for now...
    I 'm lloking for a simple to use mp3 player that's customizable - for example :
    read & display xml playlists
    make the list of viewable songs what we choose - like 10 songs or 20 songs - without scroll bars...
    I'm lookimg at:
    http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/jw-player/jw-player-for-flash-v5
    http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimpy_mp3.html
    http://playlist.software.informer.com/download-playlist-embedded-website-media-player/
    Any opinions are welcome

    Here's what I'm doing:
    HTML5.
    Here is the code and it is really simple:
      <audio controls="controls">
      <source src="../path/filename.ogg" type="audio/ogg" />
      <source src="../path/filename.mp3" type="audio/mpeg" />
      Your browser does not support the audio element. <a href="../path/filename.mp3">Right-Click here</a> and choose Save file as&hellip; to download the .MP3 file</audio>
    Works in all browsers. Works in all media players that support mpeg audio. But here's a word of warning:
    Some browsers may not know that the ogg audio is there, so you may need to edit your .htacess file (on Apache) or your filetypes (on Microsoft IIS servers) to include it.
    Here's the change to put into .htaccess. I don't use IIS:
    AddType audio/ogg .oga
    AddType video/ogg .ogv
    AddType application/ogg .ogg
    AddHandler application-ogg .ogg .ogv .oga
    That will enable both ogg video and audio. Without these lines, Firefox may not play your file.
    To make your audio files, please see this link.

  • DI.FM Radio player

    I just started out with Python about a two weeks ago and have come a long way. This is basically an online radio player, that makes it easy to switch between different radio stations. You aren't restricted to DI.FM streams, any should work fine, I just listen to a lot of DI.FM
    It still needs a bunch of work, and there are probably a few bugs but I finally got a working version (I think) that I am happy with,
    More info and the download can be found here:
    http://gunnewiek.com/projects/di.fm.html
    edit: download the .rar for best results.
    Any comments / suggestions / pointers would be great as I am still learning.
    So far I have made 0 progress on the recording part, so if you are pro with gstreamer and know how please let me know.

    On the webpage I mentioned that the ~/.streams file is temporarily in the same dir as the script.
    Did you copy / paste the code into a new *.py file, or download the .rar? I would suggest you download the .rar as it contains the images and 'streams' file.
    I copy the file. Now, i see the download file. Sorry for that, i'm used to see the link with underline.
    I try with .rar package.

  • BBC Radio Player no longer works with Airport Express

    This weekend I've been unable to get connected to the BBC Radio Player (from http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio). This has worked for the past year, and suddenly stopped.
    I have narrowed the problem down to the airport express. Radio streaming works without a hitch when I plug in the ethernet cable direct to either mac, or when I connect to another local Wi-Fi connection. But when I use Airport Express, the radio streaming always times-out.
    I even set up one of the computers to share internet over the airport, and was easily able to stream the radio connection to the other computer: so the airport cards themselves are working perfectly.
    I wondered if anyone else had the same problem. I've noticed it since I upgraded to 10.4.3 and included the 2005-01 Airport Update, though I didn't notice the problem for several days (I did no streaming in that time).
    I've tried downgrading to Airport 4.2, and even Airport Express Firmware 6.1.1, but nothing has solved the problem. There isn't an obvious setting I've missed - is there?
    If anyone else can stream BBC Radio with all the recent updates applied through Airport Express, I would be interested in hearing from them...

    Well, I found the answer to my problem. I'll add it here, in case someone else ever has the same problem.
    My Speedtouch modem was set to distribute DHCP addresses. But my Airport Express was ALSO set to do this. This had the strange effect of allowing everything to work, apart from Real Player radio/video streams. I have no idea why this was the only effect.
    The solution was to set the Airport Express to do nothing, and let the modem do it all. Now both computers can stream radio at the same time, and everything is fine. But it took many hours to find the problem.

  • Streaming radio just stopped working Firefox version 8, but I can get everything else. Add on's are up to date. I can't recall if it happened after the Firefox up date or after listening to last.fm or what! How to fix this?

    Streaming radio just stopped working Firefox version 8, but I can get everything else not on stream to work. Add on's are up to date. I can't recall if it happened after the Firefox up date or after listening to last.fm or what prompted it. How to fix this?

    I installed-enabled MS win media player firefox 1.0.0.8, i still did not get streaming, error box comes up and says 'stream load error', the 'windows media test' thing did not work, i tried iheart radio-no luck, so i disabled win media player plug-in dynamic link library 3.0.2629 and tested and still did not work, i also have plug ins: silverlight 5.0.61118.0 and quicktime 7.6.9 7.6.9.0 enabled. I don't know why all of the sudden i have a stream problem with firefox, yesterday, i tried on IE which i never use and had no problem with it. i will try to do more trouble shooting and see, its really frustrating, if can't figure out, i guess will have to revert back to IE which i really don't want to do, but---oh well. thx for help.

  • Flash Player for windows mobile 6

    Hi All,
    I have a HTC - Touch. Installing divx player was quite
    straight forward, but installing Flash Player was also quite
    alright but when trying to view youtube videos, it tries to open
    the webpage using a streaming media application but eventually
    stops and comes up saying "failed to find network"
    This is site I have downloaded the flash player from:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
    I have vlc player, no joy as well.
    Your suggestions arewelcome please.
    Many thanks
    Khronikles

    Hi,
    I also have bought a HTC Touch and also today I installed the flash player for my touch and I was hoping that now i can run .swf files on my touch. The software was successfully installed but dont know why it was no change in my programs list and nor was I able to run the any .swf on it...!! So I just wanted to ask that were you able to play that after installing the software that you have mentioned in your post because I had googled for the link and I installed the software from the same link as you had mentioned it.

  • Streaming radio to my website with BC basic server

    hello, i wonder if i can apply streaming radio to my web with BC basic server , or i need a special server?

    Hi there,
    IF you have a audio source or flash video source and apply a player (something you have to do with javascript of flash) you can host such files on your BC site.
    It will be easier and also help with your SEO and traffic if you put such videos up on youtube or vimeo for example and embed those on to your site as an option.
    These would not use your space on your server, I am sure there are audio hosts similar to these as well if you do not want to make a video out of it.

  • Play streaming radio

    Hi, it's my first post. I have a problem with my audio player. The is this:
    import flash.media.Sound;
    import flash.media.SoundLoaderContext;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    var sound:Sound;
    var url:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://91.121.142.100:8008/;");
    sound = new Sound();
    var context:SoundLoaderContext=new SoundLoaderContext(0,false);
    sound.load(url,context);
    sound.play();
    It load with URLRequest a streaming radio and play it. It's working good with some radio but not with that i load. The sound is playing at intervals. Anyone know why? The sound is streaming at 128kbps in stereo mode 44100.
    Please help me and sorry for my bad english.

    I hope you get an answer to this issue, because I have had the very same problem...
    The best that I can offer, is make sure that you have permission to use the audio stream, by way of a 'Cross Domain Policy XML File'.
    For an example of one, check out twitters: http://twitter.com/crossdomain.xml
    You can see what it does, more of less says who can take information from their website.
    The flash player first checks for this file, then if it sees that it has been granted access to use content from their, then it does.
    for more info,
    when I had this issue, I was not in control of the server hosting the  radio and could not get across domain file onto that server.
    Hope this helps,...

  • Music player for E6

    Please, I am looking for other music player, more like the one in Symbian S60. I have tried TuneWiki but it looks tiny!
    I really hate the music player for Anna. Nice looking but clumsy!

    Clumsy? The music player according to my experience is everything than clumsy...maybe I missunderstand you here...?
    Anyway, try this player,

     I think it is also "tiny" but try it anyway..
    Sure, Nokia should develop a built-in search function, but I don´t miss it cause I am more of streaming music over 3G (nokia internet radio and mecanto).
    I think that the audio quality also is way better than I could dream of (as an old high fidelity fan). I was really surprise over this..
