Streaming Server Relay help please
I have QT B'Caster and QTSS installed on my PMG5. I have successfully captured and encoded video with broadcaster and transmitted an automatic unicast. On the same machine I am in my QTSS setup in Safari. If I go into the Broadcaster section of StreamingServer and click View Broadcast, I can see that in fact it is streaming what was coming out of Broadcaster.
My question is how to set up a multicast to the internet. I think I need to add a new relay, but that's where I get confused. The source is pretty straight forward, and I just have it waiting for announced streams anyway. What info do I fill in for the destination settings? Do I need to get some more hardware or services to point to? After that's settled, how will users know where to look to view the reflected stream?
I'm almost there, but I'm just missing a few key elements. Anyone who can help me understand would be much appreciated. TIA!

did you ask your host/provider whether your password and your username are correct?
Otherwise you could try connecting not with DW features, but with a different software.
For various reasons I prefer to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server, with a program which works "outside" of the DW. Therefore I am using filezilla with great success and it looks for me easier to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.

Needless to say, as a precondition of course, is that you have all access data to your server and of course a logical structure of your directory tree.

I purchased a Lynux server to stream movies of well, lots of stuff, and I downloaded the darwin Streaming Server Files. I did a mass upload FTTP and well seems relayconfig.xml is a sample??? ICal and server upgrade Help please.
Hi folks,
I am running 10.5.2 server on a dual G4 tower and in particular iCal, which has been running very well. I want to upgrade to a new iMac, and so far I have been unable to figure out how to successfully recreate all accounts (only 7) and re-use the account calendars (about 4350 events so far).
The upgrade and migration documents only cover 10.4.10 server going to 10.5 server, not 10.5.2 PPC server migrating to intel 10.5.2 server.
I can't clone as PPC disk format is apm and intel is guid.
Please tell me how to move the accounts from PPC to intel (?export admin and users, import admin and users?) and how to copy the calendars from PPC to intel to keep all the events.
Finally how do you get the individual user icals to reload the calendars once they have been binded by directory utility.

I'm guessing it's the 700MHz model since you said it only has 128MB RAM. You can upgrade the OS to Tiger 10.4, but, you need to upgrade the RAM to at least 512MB (1GB would be better). The spec page at the above link has a link to OWC, a good source for RAM.
However, Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753). For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A (10.4.6), MA190Z/A (10.4.3) and M9639Z/A (10.4) . Also look on eBay. Be sure & buy a retail version (black with silver X) and not a model specific version (gray) (See Can I use another Mac's system restore disc on my Mac? ). Expect to pay (possibly a lot) more than the Apple list price of $129.

IPhone in deleting mail from my server? Help please
i have an ATT / Yahoo e mail acct. and never had this problem before.
As i have a phone and a home computer, i have always had the phone leave the mail on the server and that way I could also get it on my home computer. Now the phone deletes the mail off the server os I can't get it at home.
I have checked my phone settings but nothing helps.
Any suggestions would be great before i take a trip down to the ATT store.

RichUnless you had it set up as a POP account before with a specific setting not to delete messages from the server after download, I'm not sure why it would have behaved differently. This is the way it's always worked for me. It's basically an IMAP account with support for push notification. Nearly indistinguishable from an Exchange account. It synchronizes fully with the server. Deletions will be reflected on all devices using IMAP to access the host inbox.

One is 10g1 version, currently running. another one I just installed is 10g2 version. They each has it's own home. I mean two versions sit in separate oracle home. They both in window.
However, through sqlplus, toad etc, I can only access 10g1.

The listener.ora configures the piece that listens on the network. Each database must register to the listener. You only need one listener on the machine and each database should register to that listener. To check, run the command line 'lsnrctl status'
In your control panel, set the listener for 19gR1 to start manually (and then never start it)
The tnsnames.ora configures the client. Basically it says 'when yoohoo asks to connect to database blah, that means connect to host boing, talk to the listener on port whatever (usually 1521) and ask for a connection to database service bingo' as in

The fix - as others say, is to run netca or netmgr (both available from START menu). Or simply open both tnsnames.ora files and make the match up by adding whatever entries are needed.

TS4403 I can't see my photos from Photo Stream on Windows, help please!
In my PC, on the Photo Stream folder appears no pictures, I've sync a lot of times the iPad to iTunes and the pictures doesn't appear. I have no longer space on my iPad and I need to have my PhotoStream on my laptop! Thanks

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Help needed with streaming server
hello. i work with a firm that provides hosting. one of our
clients has asked if it was possible to use a streaming server from
flash. now, to try it out, i've downloaded the trial version for
the flash media server 2. i've read through the documentation, but
i still cannot make it do what i want. as an example, i've
downloaded the 'dynamic playlist' example. i've set it up
completely as it's said on the site tutorial, yet i cannot connect
with the server. before you ask, yes, the server is running and the
application is loaded. the only thing i've really changed in the
example is the url of the server inside the xml file. when i test
the flash in flash pro 8, i get the message
NetConnection.Connect.Failed, no matter what address i use, be it
localhost, the internal ip address of the firm, or the external ip
address for access via the net. admitted, i'm not the most
knowledgable person on flash, but i still need to get that server
running.
obviously, my boss wants that server up and running as soon
as possible. can someone help me to set it up so i can make a
connection with the server?

The simplest sample works like this:
1. Create a subdirectory in your [FMS_HOME] called "tutorial"
2. Create a subdirectory in tutorial called "streams"
3. Create a subdirectoy in streams called "video" (or use
_definst_)
4. Create a flv file using Flash Video and save it in your
"video" directory.
The server structure should look like this:
[FMS_HOME]
|------- applications
______|---------- tutorial
____________|---------- streams
___________________|----------- video
___________________________|---- videoToPlay.flv
Now you can play the stream from within your flash
application.
The quickest application is created like this:
1. Create a video instance (right click in "Library" and
select "new video", name it "video" and make sure it's action
script controlled. Then pull it onto the stage and make sure you
give the instance a name, e.g. "myVideo")
2. Now you need 5 lines of code.

Switching from external Email server to Exchange, Understanding Dis-Joint, and a little help please
I'm pretty new at installing exchange myself and have never done Exchange 2013
While going through the install help online I came across disjointed domains. I think I'm over thinking this but here is what I have and what I want to do. Any other tips would be great as well.
Customer currently has a domain, internal dns and email through GoDaddy. Lets call it smallschool.com
Internally they have a new Active Directory (2012) and the domain is in.smallschool.com. There is no external DNS except GoDaddy. I plan to use that (if that's ok).
I have built a Hyper-V for Exchange 2013 and have installed pre-requisites.
My Current Question are...
Do I need to set up dis-joint dns suffix and modify the msds-allowdnssuffix attribute? I have the instructions, I just don't know if this is a must or not with the domain names like they are.
Am I going to run into any trouble switching GoDaddy's email to Exchange Server? Any Tips?

Agree with Ed Crowley. If your original used domain is smallschool.com in GoDaddy, I suppose your email address would be
[email protected]
If that is the case, when you deployed a new AD domain with in.smallschool.com, we can create an accepted domain for smallschool.com in Exchange 2013. If you want to still use Godaddy for external message sending and receiving, you can create an external

Hi all! I was updating the software on i pad to ios6, update was interrupted(apple update server is unavailable...). iTunes Diagnostics shows that "secure link to I tunes store failed". I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Can anybody help please?
