Streaming Stopps

Hi there,
When I stream a movie with MacBook Pro or iPad mini to my Apple TV (last generation) the movie is not running continuously. It stops and start again, the tone is slower than the picture, seems not to make all pics a sek. After several minutes it stops totally.
I have all devices updated and restart, but no better result. What can I do?
About my hardware:
MacBook Pro Retina - Osx mavericks
Apple TV last generation - iOS 7
Time capsule - wifi connected to all devices
Apple airport express for enlarge wifi
iPad mini ios7
iPhone 4S ios7

Thanks for your welcome greatings. I have a airport extreme basestation which is conected to the internet. The conection to the mac is on the best and also showen as well on the atv. I have no problems to download files from the internet. The download rate is stable. What kind uf interference could this be? Atv is shown permanently in the itunes. When I new startup Itunes and I just choose a songlist from my library it works usually for about one hour. If i replay one song or change to a other list, it usualy starts to make troubles after 5-10 minutes. the speaker of my living room are all the time showen in the right corner. When it stops playing the song, itunes is going on to play it - you see this i in the play status of the song - it is still moving and count the time that is left of the song. I can then change the speakers to "computer" and back to atv and it will work for an other 10 minutes. Synchronisation of all Playlists, movies and pictures etc works nice and proper. It is no question about the actually playing song. It's more like apple Tv starts to sleep after a while . I have all playlists which i use also on the atv, but on the reason I have the atv connected to my beamer, i don't like every time to start it and just choose my playlist. I usally don't stream video over the mac. Over the internet (youtube) works fine. I have some podcasts which it automaticly sync with the atv. this also works fine. A lot that works - but not all...

Airplay in Lion instable

Hi,
since the upgrade to Lion, Airplay has become instable. I am streaming from iTunes on an iMac to an AirPort Express connected to some speakers. This worked very well with Snow Leopard but now with Lions the streaming stops after some time - I can not clearly identify when this happens but I suspect TimeMachine. When the streaming stopps there is no way to get it back working but shut off the iMac, the whole Network AirPort Base Statation and Express.
When I dissable the Time Machine, Airplay works for hours.
Am I alone with this experience? Is this maybe already a known issue?

To imporove streaming audio performance to an AirPort base station try increasing the MultiCast rate
Open AirPort Utility
Select the base station
Select Manual Setup
Select Wirelesss tab
Select Wireless Network Options button
Increase the MultiCast rate to 5.5Mbs or 11Mbs
Apple's documentation seems sparse on the MultiCast function, but from what I've pieced together, this increases the speed at which the computers & base stations talk to each other. This helps keep the audio bits flowing while also providing some headroom for other apps to connect as well. It's possible that this will give Time Machine the space needed to complete its backups. These are both very data intensive operations

Streaming Music, Apple TV stopps playing it

While I'm streaming music, Apple TV often stopps to play it after a few minutes. iTunes is still going on with streaming it. The connection to the wireless network is excelent and apple tv is showing all the time in iTunes library. All updates have been done. Anybody knows about this problem?

While streaming music from i-phone 4s to apple tv, it stoppes working after 2 minutes. Its worked fine for a year or so, no problem, never moved it or touched it! Can anyone help please?

While streaming music from my i-phone 4s, it stops working after 2 miutes and so does music from my i-tunes after about two songs, very frustrating! Have tried allsorts!!!

That indicates a network issue, what exactly have you tried?

Player stopps while playing big "data only" stream

I developped 2 applications. The first one creates a "data
only" (NS.send()) stream. The second one, running on a different
machine plays it back. While recording the stream and playing it
back live, everything worked fine. In order to replay the stream at
a later time i chose the "record" option. In my Media Server
Application Folder several up to 4 GB (8 hours) files were created.
When I try to replay the recorded streams with my second
application, the player halts after several seconds. I have to
mention that the stream is not constantly filled with data, there
may be gaps of several seconds maybe even minutes.
I get the following NS status notifications:
Netstream.play.reset
Netstream.play.start
(NS.myfunction invoked a few times)
Netstream.Buffer.full
(NS.myfunction invoked several times)
Netstream.Play.Stop (no reason)
(NS.myfunction invoked several times)
Netstream.Buffer.flush

Streaming to FMS via mobile cuts off

Hi,
I am using AIR on mobile for streaming a video from a VideoDisplay object to FMS (Flash Media Server) using NetConnection and NetStream.
It's working, but 50% of the videos are being cut off in the middle. The FLV file on the server is small. Somehow the streaming just stoppes. I guess it has something to do with mobile connectivity, but this happens both on 3G connections and WiFi connections.

I would not expect any browser to support RTMP on the <video> object in the future, and in order to make the transport reliable for html5, all browsers would need to support it. Adobe has no control over this... it is entirely up to the browser vendors to decide what streaming transports to implement in their browsers.
Consider that there is no streaming protocol defined in the HTML5 specification. This means that it is up to each browser vendor to decide what (if any) streaming protocol they want to support. I imagine it will be a good number of years before we can count on any single protocol for streaming working across all browsers.
For now, the only reliable means of delivering video to the browser using an HTML5 <video> tag is progressive download from an HTTP server.

Airport Express, can't stream from my macbook but it works from other devic

I connected airport express to my hifi.
Want to stream my music wireless to the stereo.
It works fine with my iphone and ipad but it doesn't with my macbook.
I see the station after clicking the symbol in itunes but after a short while of searching it stopps without connection.
What do I need to do. Some setup on my macbook?

Also, the new AirPort Utility can't see the Airport Express either, and the option for multiple speakers has vanished from the bottom right corner in iTunes.

Where low SGA for bi-direction stream

Hi Experts,
I got alert message from database -- saleeast
Propagation Schedule for (STRMADMIN.STREAMS_CAPTURE, "STRMADMIN"."STREAMS_APPLY"@salewest.net) encountered following error:

we are using bi-direction stream. this message means that apply process abort due saleeast low SGA? or salewest low SGA?
or other?

i think that is salewest DB has low SGA.
Also I need to increase SGA_target or SGASize? Actually, saleeast 1.8 G SGAsize as 500M. salewest2.5G and_SGA_size as 500M

Stream 8 tablet location does not work on T-mobile broadband

On my HP Stream 8 tablet, location works fine with GPS only (GNSS on; Mobile Broadband, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth off).
However, if I turn on Mobile Broadband and connect to T-Mobile and turn off GNSS (or GNSS on inside where there is no GPS signal) and keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off, the location gives very odd results. Last week the map showed Phoenix as my location (I am actually located in San Francisco). This week, it gives Brentwood or Clayton, CA, both more than 30 miles away.
HP tech support said call T-Mobile. T-Mobile said they had occasionally seen equally odd locations.
I went to a nearby T-Mobile store. They had a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 which always gave a correct location, within 100 feet using T-Mobile alone. Manually moving the map to a different location in an attempt to confuse it and turning it on and off, it would still find the correct location. No surprise there, my three year old Virgin Mobile LG android cell phone does just as good a job at finding locations.
(The T-mobile store also had an iPad Mini 3 that I was able to confuse. On T-Mobile alone and clicking on My Location in maps, it produced a grid that was blank except for a line saying that it was unable to find a location, no info or link to what to do next. The T-Mobile store did not have a Stream 8. The Microsoft Store has a Stream 8 but it is not connected to Mobile Broadband.)
Does anyone else have this problem? Is my unit defective? There are times that a GPS signal is unavailable and a T-mobile broadband signal is available, and it seems that this unit should be able to find a location at least as well as my cell phone.

I see the same basic results, wifi=off, bluetooth=off, gnss=off, t-mobile=on. Open win8.1 map-app shows my location in LA south of the 101/110 junction. I'm in SF Bay area near San Jose about 400 miles away. Turn on wifi and map-app shows me at my real address. With t-moile only, opened win8.1 IE, went to www.bing.com/maps location also shows LA.
My only t-mobile account is the stream8 free 200mb/month data plan, don't think they have my real address anywhere. My t-mobile "phone" number is 720 area code in the Denver area. No idea why middle of LA is the t-mobile location. Must be a "feature, not a bug".

Internet Streams in Playlists do not show up on Apple TV

I use the following setup:
- Apple TV MD199LL/A (Software 6.0.1) just updated to the latest
- iTunes 11.1.3 for Windows (from a Windows 7 x64)
- iTunes 11.1.3 for MAC (from a Apple MacBook Pro x64, Maverix)
Homesharing is turned on both computers
From both machines I share pictures, videos and music.
All photos, videos and music files are getting displayed on the Apple TV menu, and can be played.
All iTunes playlists from both machines are getting displazed on the Apple TV
BUT!
If a internet stream is added to a playlist, this entry does not show on the Apple TV menu.
If the playlist contains only internet streams the Apple TV menu says "There are no songs in this library"
If I hit the play key on my remote, it will randomly play the first stream in the playlist (not realy reproducable pattern)
I can play those streams in iTunes and send it via AirPlay without problems,
Can anyone help me with this and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

You can only view that rental on the iPad. For it to show up it has to be rented directly on ATV or through a computer and streamed via home sharing

How can I move photos from my album to a photo stream to make space on my iphone

How can I see My Photo Stream from two Macs associated with the same Apple ID?

I have a MacBook Pro (my personal machine) and an iMac (our family computer).
The iPhoto library housing all of our family photos lives on the iMac.
The iPhoto library on my MacBook Pro is currently empty.
I have an account on both machines. I have associated the same Apple ID with both machines.
When I launch iPhoto on my MacBook Pro and attempt to turn on photo sharing (so that I can see My Photo Stream, as well as other shared streams), iPhoto informs me that "iCloud Photos for xxx@xxx is being used with another library named 'iPhoto Library'."
My iPhone, which is also affiliated with the same Apple ID, shows the streams just fine.
What can I do to remedy this situation? I'd like to be able to view my shared streams on my MacBook Pro, while leaving the actual massive photo library on the iMac.

I found out about this issue when I created a new library with some photo's I wanted to sync to my iCloud account. I found the following on the Fat Cat Software page and thought it might be helpful to others:

Starting in iPhoto 9.2, Apple introduced a new feature called Photo Stream, which lets you automatically transfer photos via their iCloud service between your iPhoto library and your other devices such as an iPhone, iPad, or another Mac. This feature works when you have multiple iPhoto libraries set up, but there are a couple things to be aware of.
First, iPhoto will only allow Photo Stream to be active in one iPhoto library at any given time. If you've already enabled Photo Stream in one library, but then open a second library and enable Photo Stream there, this will cause Photo Stream to be turned off in the first library.
Any photos downloaded by Photo Stream are actually stored in an entirely separate location from any of your iPhoto libraries. This means that, even if you do switch Photo Stream from one library to another, you will not need to go through redownloading all the photos you already have in Photo Stream back from the iCloud servers. So, switching Photo Stream from one library to another is a relatively inexpensive operation, so you can do it as often as needed without it being much of a hassle.

More than one photo stream?

OK - I have a MBP and IP3GS which work wonderfully with iCloud. Syncing has pretty much been seamless and is working well. iPhoto too...I snap a pic on my IP3GS and it shows up on my MBP.
My wife has a MBA and iPod Touch. With her own iCloud account, all her syncing is working well. iPhoto too...she snaps a pic on her Touch, it shows up on the MBA.
My Apple ID is the one we both use for the store.
In iCal on my MBP and IP, I have added her iCloud account, so I can see all her appointments. I've added my iCloud account to iCal on her MBA and Touch, so she can see mine.
All this works so very well - just as I had hoped.
My one remaining mystery is photo stream. Here is what I would love:
-I snap a pic on my IP3GS and it shows up on my MBP AND my wife's MBA
-my wife snaps a pic on her Touch and it shows up on her MBA AND my MBP
Is this possible?
Currently I'm "syncing" our iPhoto libraries by emailing or iMessaging photos from one iOS device to the other...but I was hoping there was a better way.

I have a Cloud account that does my contacts, photos, etc.
My wife has same.
What if I turn off the Photo Stream for both of these accounts...create a third Cloud accound that I turn everything BUT photostream off for - that is, this Cloud account only stores photos. Then I add this Cloud account to both iOS devices and both Macbooks.
That might do it....

How Do I Use One PC (Windows) To Run iCloud Photo Stream for Two Users? I and my wife have two Iphones (iOS 6.1.4) and we want to have use 2 iCloud accounts for one PC.

Disregard the question. The solution has nothing to do with any "Firefox bug". Turns out that my session wasn't being managed properly. Or rather, I was accidentally deleting other users' information when new users logged in. So if I had user 1 and user 2, and user 2 logged in after user 1, some of user 1's information would be deleted, resulting in the errors.
Oops; sorry about the false alarm. :)

Is there a way i can view video streams to my mac on apple tv

im new to macs but after getting an iphone 4 have got the bug.
im struggleing with some of the ways macs work. i want to be able to view content streamed to my laptop on my tv. I have an apple tv box linked to my tv but cant figure out how to view whats on my laptop screen on my tv wirelessly via the apple tv. Is it called mirroring or something??? thats if it can be done. im not super computor techy but can follow good instructions. any help would be great.
