Streaming to samsung tv dlna

I have my Samsung tv networked. I can view and stream through my Sony laptop with no issues but my tablet s cannot see the television using the built in video/audio apps or mediashare. What could be the issue? The samsung is dlna certified.

  • Direct streaming with samba and DLNA/UPNP capable players

    Hello,
I have mediatomb running on my server which streams media to my PS3. However, I would like to do the same with my arch machines, but I can't find any players or plugins with upnp functionality. Amarok, AFAIK, doesn't have such capability. Although I always prefered this method for watching media, now I really need it because playing through samba is impossible. When I try to play media from samba shares, all players download the content locally and then start playing it (unless I mount the samba share, sth I would like to avoid). The same happens with every file, pdfs, rtfs, etc - the file is downloaded locally and then opens in its application. There was a hack for mplayer that allowed direct streaming, but now it doesn't work (changing the "exec" value in the gmplayer.desktop file and adding the %F parameter). Maybe there is a hack for Dolphin that changes this behaviour?

even wrote:For share folders you can use ushare. It works fine with dlna and upnp. But doesnt have a GUI, only config files and a daemon. Works with ps3 and xbox360.
Well, what I actually need is a UPnP media renderer or player. Mediatomb is a UPnP server, similar to ushare, and I am very happy with it.

  • Issue with streaming on Samsung plasma TV

Recently I watched a live stream from ustreamtv for a motorsports event on my desktop.  (ustream.tv/ultra4) While trying to switch to the tv (samsung 8000series plasma, hard wired via cat5) and getting to the stream site it asked for a Flashplayer update.  This I cannot do and when asked, Samsung says they only have version 10.0 and do not intend to update with future firmware or software updates to the TV.  now what?  I was able to watch the same event last year with no issues.  I have also contacted ustreamtv asking if they intend to come up with an app for samsung tvs that can then be added to set...no response so far.

Unfortunately, SmartTVs use Android OS and Google (Android) has ended all support for Flash (as of June 2012). There is no more Flash Player for Android, and being as it's now incompatible, there won't be another.
The latest versions that will run on Android are Flash Player 11.1 for Android 2.x and 3.x (11.1.111.73)  and Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81).
Those ARE more recent than what you have (10) but they will still most likely get you a "You need the latest Flash Player to view this content" message from most sites.

  • Stream to Samsung TV

This may seem like a silly question, but I'd like to view online content on my Samsung 7000 series LED. I don't mean streaming saved content, rather using my TV like a wireless monitor. My iMac is connected wirelessly, and the TV is wired to my router. Is it just a matter of getting something like a D-Link Boxee Box or Slingbox? Thanks in advance.

  • Configuring Cisco Switch VLANs for Samsung DLNA Sharing!

    Hello there,
In my vlan 40, I have Samsung Smart TV and Samsung Allshare "DLNA" software on one of my PCs in the same vlan. Everything works fine and I can watch movies on my TV streaming from my PC.
Now, my brother, which is in Vlan 20, bought Samsung Smart TV.
I want my PC, which hosts Samsung Allshare software (vlan40), to send its media streaming to my brother's TV (vlan20) so he can watch my movies.
I know broadcasts are dropped between vlans.
So, How can I accomplish that?

    Hi,
Have a look at this link:-
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/ip-multicast/9356-48.html
If your switch is doing the inter vlan routing (IE Layer3 compatable)
Then a simple DENSE mode config something like this should be OK.
    ip routing
    ip multicast-routing dist
    int vlan 20
    desc ***MY BROTHERS VLAN ***
    ip add 192.168.20.1 255.255.255.0
    ip pim sparse-dense-mode
    no shut
    int vlan 40
    desc ***MY  VLAN ***
    ip add 192.168.40.1 255.255.255.0
    ip pim sparse-dense-mode
    no shut

  • Application to enable iTunes to stream over DLNA

    Hi,
I have spent the last day looking for a solution but no joy...
I want to find an add on that will let me stream iTunes to my DLNA enabled Sony BD Player.
The two options I have found (Playback and EyeConnect) are not supported for Mavericks it seems.
    Any Ideas?
I like using iTunes for everything so I don't have to set up more than one Media Server.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    I have a mid 2009 MacBook Pro running Mavericks (OS X 10.9.2)
    Cheers

  • Is there a DLNA compliant Media Server for the iMAC

Is ther a DLNA compliant Media Server that will run on an Intel based iMAC running Lion?

I used to have a 30 foot HDMI cable going from my Mac to my Denon receiver (which just turned in to a second monitor) and using Plex, I would play my HD MKV files without issue.  Now my Mac mini is in one room and the home theater is in another and I can't get any AVI or MKV files to play through my Samsung equipment.  Vuze SUPPOSEDLY supports streaming to thousands of DLNA devices but while I could see my files, none of them would play.  I've also tried Plex, VLC, EyeConnect, and TVMobili.  I have the same problem with all of them.  Either they won't play MKV files, or I'll select an AVI and it'll see the file but never play it.  Then each server, in its own way, disconnects from my device.
    Hardware:
    Samsung PN51D8000 Plasma
    Samsung BD-D5500 Blu-Ray
    Denon 3808CI
    Mac Mini - Intel 2.4GHz, 8 GB RAM, OS X Lion 10.7.2
Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide.

  • How to stream films from Time Capsule via AppleTV/Mede8er on Smart TV

How can I play movies from my TimeCapsule on my Samsung Smart TV with my Apple TV2?
How can I play movies from my TimeCapsule on my Samsung Smart TV with my Mede8er400
My configuration consistes of: Windows 7 laptop+PC - TimeCapsule - Apple TV - Mede8er. All in a LAN network.
I can see the apple TV on my TV screen but can't get into the TC with my films on it.

You cannot if the Samsung needs DLNA server.. which is what I would expect.. Apple stuff does not support DLNA.. because it is Apple.. and therefore different.

Apple TV is not a player.. it is kind of an intermediary device.. it requires itunes running on a computer to send or stream stuff to it.. if you had your itunes library on the TC.. the computer can then stream it to the ATV and thus onto your TV..
TC is a dumb as a board storage device.. no media players.. no players of any kind media or otherwise.. just dumb storage space.
Your Mede8er 400 might be able to play files.. what formats does it play??
Have you copied files to the TC that it can read?
Have you setup the TC with full smb compliant names.. ie short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Have you setup the workgroup name as WORKGROUP and turned on the guest account to full read and write.. it might work.
Your ATV should be able to work from itunes on the windows computer and stream that to the TV.

  • Is there DLNA support in Adobe Debut?

I have bought Adobe Photoshop Touch and Proto, and I like it very much - now I'm thinking about buying Adobe Debut.
I'd like to know if streaming presentation directly to DLNA supported clients is possible with Adobe Debut?
If it is, it would make this one a killer app for me (imagine walking in front of audience, without wires and showing cool interactive presentation with ability to annotate, zoom-in/out, etc), but I wasn't able to find any information about it. It would be very good, especially that streaming of whole Android desktop isn't possible without rooting the device (or using USB debugging) as far as I know, but streaming single application window from specific app should be quite easy to implement, and shouldn't require root access (apps that do this can for example create slideshow/movie/stream of the fly and upload this).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Giniu,
Native streaming via DLNA is not a feature currently available in Adobe Debut. I suggest you post it as a idea aka feature request for consideration to be added in the future, interesting idea.

  • Stream media from PC to BB 9360 ?

Hi, simple enough question, rather than having to copy over all my tunes to my curve, I would prefer to just strream them from my pc's wmp dlna server. Anyone familar with htc android phones will know how easy and simple this is to do on these devices. But how can one do it on a blackberry, I see they added a file sharing feature in os7.1 but all it seems to do is share media from my bb to my pc (stupest thing ever, as there is a much greater chance that one's music is on their pc not their phone ) Any ideas ? Thx

If you have a Blackberry Desktop Software, you can look for the Wireless Music Sync, you can also stream music there on DLNA.
    Please check this:

  • Is there a jsr223 compliant scripting engine for ExtendScript

I like to start some FrameMaker ExtendScripts out of a Java Application. Therefore I was wondering, if there is any JSR223 compliant Scripting Engine?
Or what would be a good practice to start those Scripts out of a JAVA Application?
One way I found, is to use The FrameMaker Server with a Pre-Publish Script in Batchmode (as described here: http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2011/03/adobe-framemaker-server-10-and-its-command-line-ca pability.html), but as with every Batch Call out of a java application, the integration is not very nice.
    Thanks much for any suggestion.

  • How do I get SD video (4:3 aspect ratio) to fill the entire screen?

Any 4:3 video I stream has black bars on either side of the picture. I have a Samsung HDTV, and I can stream content using its own pc to tv streaming software and 4:3 videos fill the entire screen. Or if I play a DVD with 4:3 aspect ratio that will also automatically fill the screen. With the Apple TV I cannot make it fill the entire screen. Is this something to do with the signal being transmitted over an HDMI cable?
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how have you resolved it?

I know it is displaying 4:3 video correctly, however I'd prefer if there was some stretching (non-linear) so that it fills the entire screen. Having 2 big black bars on either side gets very annoying. There doesnt seem to be an option to fill the entire screen when streaming from the apple tv. There are options when streaming from Samsung's own software (I don't want to use samsungs pc share manager as the apple tv's user interface is much better).
Are my options restricted because the signal is transmitted through an hdmi cable? Seems to be what other websites might be suggesting.

  • Audio via ethernet from MacBook

I’m a newbie--just switching to Mac from Windows.
I can’t claim to be a true audiophile, but I have tendencies in that direction. I’m in the process of storing a thousand CDs in Apple LossLess, and have a pretty good stereo.
My new MacBook will be in the back of my house in my office, connected to a hardwired LAN. The LAN has an ethernet connection right where my stereo is. I have an NAD integrated amp with no optical/digital input. I want to stream audio from the MacBook to the stereo. I’d like to leave the MacBook where it is, and have something like an iPhone or iPad as a controller where my stereo is.
Can I just plug in an Airport Express to the Ethernet where my stereo is? Will it stream audio from my MacBook to the stereo over the Ethernet? Or will it stream it wirelessly? Do I care? (Shouldn’t an Ethernet connection be a lot higher quality than wireless?)
Is there a better way to get audio from the MacBook to the stereo via Ethernet—even if it requires a non-Mac solution?
    --Werner

Hello WLohe. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
If your goal is to use iTunes on your MacBook as the audio source of ALAC files, then they could be streamed over Ethernet. iTunes uses AirTunes for audio streaming. AirTunes can be transmitted over wire or wireless. At the NAD end, you would need either an AirPort Express Base Station (AX) or Apple TV, to receive the AirTunes streams. In turn, these devices would offer digital optical or analog outputs to the NAD.
If however, your goal is to stream these files outside of iTunes, then you would need a different solution. One such solution is to run a DLNA media server on the MacBook, and then, stream media to a DLNA client ... like an Xbox 360. In this case an AirPort Express would not be necessary.

  • FCP exporting 4.3 aspect ratio to compressor

I am exporting a project in 16.9 aspect ratio to compressor and it is outputting a file that looks like 4.3.  In the inspector it reads project as 16.9, any suggestions?

  • Stage video on desktop (AIR)

Is it true that Air 3 does not support stage video on the desktop?.Really? FP 11 can but AIR 3 cant??
The hype around AIR3 at Max got us really interested, but as I am investigating the details of getting a multi-platform high-fidelity video player built in AIR, I must say its extremely dissapointing.
Here are some of the show-stoppers I have found so far:
    1. AIR 3 cant leverage stage video on the desktop ?
    2. AS3 apps (AIR 2.5) cannot play RTMP streams on Samsung devices (see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3957644#3957644)
Anybody from Adobe care to comment?
    Thanks,
    - abey

Yes, I find this very frustrating as well.  Has anyone found a work around, or another container that does allow for hardware accelerated video in a desktop app?
