Streaming TO Twitch.tv

Hey Thar,
I had Infinity 2 installed on 17th September. I was happy. I play World of Warcraft & started to stream my self & pals playing the game to Twitch.tv. It worked perfectly & all was dandy. The past week however, since Sunday 1st September, whenever I start streaming my bandwidth falls through the flood causing the stream to lag.
I'm using the streaming client OBS. This program shows you what your uploading in terms of speed & has an indicator weather this is causing problems or "keeping up". When things were good this sat nicely @ 3mb/s, no dropped frames & all si dandy.
Since the 1st however, the bandwidth is dropping down to 1mb/s causing a mass of dropped frames to the server. This would suggest to my brain that I'm being throttled when streaming to Twtich now after my cooling off period. Given that all other speed tests show unchanged results since post installation and no other services have any other kind of bandwidth loss or problems.
This distresses me greatly & I'd like to know who I have to verbaly make love to, to have it stopped to allow me to resume streaming TO twich.
Many thanks & love,
Andrew.

  • Streaming to twitch.tv via MacBook Pro?

I was wondering if anyone had a surefire way of streaming things from a console, to the laptop, to twitch.tv. I was told using Flash Media Live Encoder and Camtwist is a starting point. Would doing HDMI out from the TV allow me to broadcast that through those programs onto twitch?

  • Can't open two streams from twitch fullscreen on different monitors at the same time, why not?

When i try to open two streams each on one monitor ( in fullscreen), the one opened second just overlaps the existing one.

    Hi wilson1470,
Only one window can be in fullscreen at a time. Is it possible to keep the second on in a tab of the same fullscreen window?

  • Every video streaming site (except youtube) freezes constantly and I cannot update flash

This problem started randomly happening around two days ago.  I don't know what changed but the last time I tried to watch a stream on twitch.tv the player kept freezing even on the very lowest quality setting.  Everything worked just fine on a different computer and twitch works well on my PS4 (which is wireless no less) browser and the xbox app.  I also tried watching something in vimeo and it would play the video for a few seconds, skip to another video and repeat.  First thing I tried was deleting my cache and cookies etc. with the program ccleaner.  Second thing I tried was uninstalling and reinstalling flash player but when I try I always get "lost connection trying to reconnect" at around 40% into the download.  So the next thing I tried was using a different cat5 cable, using a different port on my router (again, everything else works fine) but no luck.  I've also tried downloading the flash installer from IE and Chrome  After that I tried doing a clean install of flash as instructed here How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?
I've also tried doing the direct download link but it's still the same issue.
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
I am officially running out of things to try next.  If anyone could help I would much appreciate it.  I am running on Windows 7 64-bit and my browser of choice is Firefox.  Need any other info, please ask.

Won't make a difference.  It has to be something on my end because my antivirus hasn't updated in two days.  Tried doing a manual update but it kept starting over near the end.  So I'm running a virus scan in safe mode and if that doesn't work then the internet port on my motherboard is probably going bad.  Still doesn't explain youtube.

  • My mac mini locks up streaming video fresh install of Mavericks ?

My mac mini 2011 locks up while watching catch up tv from ABC Aus, rarely on others , it did it on Mountain Lion and continues on Maverick. It locks up and there is a sound loop running of like 1 second of sound . So I know it is not software , and it streams to my ipad and air ok , so it must be hardware or overheating as it gets really hot while doing it . BTW its over wifi . Any one had similair problems ?

My 2012 mac mini had the same problem whenever I would stream from twitch.tv, netflix, and even sometimes youtube. I tried clearing PRAM, clearing SMC, running hardware diagnostics, using Disk Utility's repair function. Nothing worked.
Try deleting everything contained in the directory ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/
(You'll need to show hidden files to find it)
After doing that, I've been streaming twitch for about two hours now without incident, whereas I could never manage more than 15 minutes before that.

  • Green screen, downlading files and updating programs often stuck at 99%.

Okey so I have got this problem for a 20 days, since I build my own computer. Some videos on youtube and other video stream sites bug out in the way that the video just goes green, and starts fast forwarding. Then I think streams on twitch.tv for example, I cant watch a stream for longer than 20 second and the video gets frozen and the stream needs to be refreshed. And updating games, downloading files often gets stuck at very end of the progress, and it wont succesfully download or update. Im not sure is it about Flash Player/Shockwave Player but if there doesnt come example green screen it may show something like you are missing add-on Flashplayer but when i refresh the page it may run the video fine for some time.
The problem rarely happens at youtube but heres one where it happened Crs Piglet (Vayne) first ever NA Penta - YouTube
Heres video where the video didnt start at all and aswell when it did the screen gone green again and fast forward. (contains adds) http://www.thevideo.me/kmqcwhblzheh
Heres screenshots and one bad quality phone photo album of these problems, green screens, videos stuck, downloading stuck and updating stuck 99-100%. Imgur
    Heres my computer specs:
My operating system is:          Microsoft Windows:  8.1 Pro, 64-bit
    Processor:                             Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Graphic card:                         Nvidia GeForce GTX 760     Driver updated to: Geforce Game Ready Driver 347.52.
    Memory (ram):                       8GB
    Motherboard:                         MAXIMUS VII RANGER
Dont know what else info I could put on about my computer really... I have tried to find answer, like disabling hardware acceleration, deleting flashplayer memory file, safe modes and all kind of tips I as able to find from internet.
And I use mozilla firefox (36.0), but the problems happens aswell in Internet Explorer. I have updated Flash Player (16,0,0,305), my drivers (Geforce Game Ready Driver 347.52), all windows updates, java(1.8.0?), but still cant find the answer why watching videos/streams work well.
Im sorry if I missed some info but ask if theres something.

The green screen means that hardware decoding has failed.  It's probably a subtle, intermittent driver bug.
You can disable hardware acceleration in Flash to avoid this while you wait for updated drivers to become available:

  • Why do I only get a blank white screen on all videos?

All videos in flash or java no longer work. Basically, what happened was I closed Firefox and updated my Java, then reloaded Firefox when it was finished. At the same time, Firefox updated itself when it was opened, and when I tried to watch a stream from Twitch.tv, it was just a blank white box and did not load the video. I also noticed that when I tried to open the chat next to the stream it said "flash failed to load". Youtube videos are just a white box as well.
I've checked all my addons as well and they are up to date and aren't having any issues. I even used other browsers and they play videos/stream just fine. However, just a few minutes ago when I was looking at my addons, I switched my Java addon from 'Ask to activate' to 'Always activate' and youtube worked, but twitch didn't; but then I tried to turn off an older version of Flash and it turned the modern one off too and everything went white again.
    Should I just refresh Firefox?

Hey Graveschaton57 Sorry to hear about this
I would uninstall your java addon and re-install, just to be on the safe side a few crossed 1's and 0's may have occured when both updated at the same time.
If that doesnt work try a clean re-install of firefox
    Good luck
    Brad

  • EA6500 First Day Impressions & Advise.

My first impressions of the EA6500 are a little rocky, anyone who doesn't know router settings like I do or knows their way around web-based browsers probably won't be able to even get online, yes really.  This router has probably in my opinion been rushed out, now don't get me wrong, the hardware is excellent but the software has been rushed and in its current state is rather poor.
    1. Firstly, before you buy this router make sure you pre-download the firmware update for it, otherwise you'll be like me for 2 hrs wondering why you can't get online.  The fact that you cannot even get online without the firmware upgrade is an absolute disgrace, and it was only after a while I remembered about reading about needing a  firmware to get online from this forum.  No firmware upgrade disc, nothing, so I had to log onto next doors internet and download it, then upload it to the router.
So make sure you get the firmware before hand.
    2. After the first major firmware update make sure you then do a full factory default, again I only didn't this after remembering something on these forums, how a regular consumer would know to do this; I have no idea.  If you don't do a full factory reset the router can run fine if left on, but after doing a power cycle cannot connect to the internet in any way.  I later found out  that this was caused by the MAC ADRESSE CLONE being on, and after a factory default this option is turned off, actually after the new firmware and factory default many options are completely different from what they were before.
    3.  So, after you have the firmware, after you have done the factory default the router will work as expected.  The next thing users need to do is add DHCP RESERVATIONS to all devices, and here's why.  Well, one its easyier to control things, and two is labelling.
So, add one devise at a time, the reason for this is it would consider 2 xbox say a networking devise, and you cannot distinguish one devise from the other.  To get around this, turn one devise on at a time, go to devise list and rename it, if its a PC with a name like MARK-PC then that is already enough.  This comes with xboxes, playstations anthing with a generic name, printer, possibly i-phone, those types of devises.  So rename every new devise like this that accesses the network, and you can then distinguish which xbox or which playstation is who's.
    4. WIRELESS, this is my opinion, use channel 1,6 or 11 for 2.4GHz band, I use 11, seems to have much less intererance.  For 2.4GHz use G-ONLY, Im seeing alot of disconnects and packet loss using mixed.
Im not to sure of the 5.0MHz band because I don't use it, I don't use it because I feel there are more lag issues when using 2.4, 5.0 and ac all at the same time, I personally just turn 5.0 and ac off.  Thats for now, things may improve a bit more in a new firmware.
    5. MEDIA PRIORITIZATION & FILTER MULTICAST STREAMS, right now Im turning it off media prioritization, seems to be  potentially causing bandwidth crush on devises that have normal priority.
Im checking filter multicast because it is potentially causing bandwidth crush when streaming from twitch tv or youtube and playing on an xbox.
    6. MTU I used a low MTU on my old router, 1364, just enough for xbox live, after doing so on this router I kept getting lag outs.  After changing the MTU back to auto and checking filter multicast streams, things are back to normal and appear so far to be lag free.
Im personally still trying to figure out what is causing the lag spikes, but its one of the 3, media prioritization, filter multicast or MTU.  I assume this because nothing else controls packets and bandwidth like these 3.
Thanks for reading, this really a first day check list for new users, Ive personally had quite a bit of fun knowing what does what on this router, and after getting a few settings in place it does appear to be a really good router.  For networking noobs however its pretty unacceptable from Linksys, the setup that needs to be done its shocking; pre-firmware.  Maybe in a few firmwares time this router maybe incredible, and I hope it is, but right now it just seems a little un-finished, and a little un-professional right now, but lets hope things change.  This router has huge potential I just hope the software guys at Linksys can keep up.

Ive tried port forwarding and dmz and that didn't change the 2nd xbox in any way, the only way to make the 2nd xbox open NAT was port triggering, but then the first xbox becomes moderate.
Putting the router behind the DMZ also failed and was still moderate.
Ive heard swtches do not work, but I guess I could try putting my old router into bridge mode, but I can't see how bridge mode or using a switch would help or work.  This is just the limitation of NAT routers/modems I guess.
Connecting 2 Xboxes should work thru the router. Please refer to this configuration I've found and try to double-check the settings you've set on both consoles so with the router's.

  • MSI G60 Computer Issues?

    Hi everyone,
First post in this forum, so I tried looking for any protocols. Apologies if I mess anything up.
I've been playing MapleStory for the past few months on my G60, and everything has been going smoothly. However, ever since the maintenance / client update on Wednesday, my client has been bugging out completely.
One bug that kept repeating itself had to do with what Nexon support speculated was an issue with my CPU clock overprocessing information, or something along those lines.
Four or five other errors also show up constantly, some having to do with my graphics cards and others having to do with client files.
The thing is, I've already updated my drivers/graphics cards to their latest state, and I have all my Windows updates downloaded. I've also allowed the program through my firewall and tried changing compatibility. I've tried reinstalling the game, as well.
One last thing I've tried is going to my msconfig and unselecting programs, to see if any of them are interfering with MapleStory while it runs. However, none of the programs seems to effect the game (or so it seems, since it just crashes every 5 minutes no matter what I do).
I'm just posting on this forum in hopes that someone/anyone knows something that I don't, or could provide some insight as to what I can do to see if the problem is on my end or Nexon's. Their support system has been rather useless and unresponsive, and I'm getting increasingly frustrated..
One thing I should note is that I've noticed my laptop has been overheating every time I use it - I don't play many games with it (I play some Leauge here and there, and MapleStory isn't really the most graphics intensive of games), and the only other things I do are watch streams on twitch / Youtube. Is it common for my fan to be spazzing out just because of these two things?
Anyways, here are the specs for my laptop (I'm really unfamiliar with this stuff so I just ran a dxdiag and copy pasted whatever seemed appropriate T_T):

Sorry for this huge wall of text...I hope I'm not breaking any rules, and that someone may be able to help me.
    Thank you so much!

How did you know it has been overheating? What temperature is it?
What errors did Nexon report? Can you post here?
I guess you will need to report bugs to them.
Do you want to try to backup your data and recover the whole system to see if this resolves the problem?

↑ GT72 using their own motherboard, which from MSI.
↑ The only different between a MYR9,999 and a MYR11,999 GT72 Dominator Pro is the capacity of the RAM: 16GB and 32GB.
↑ It getting 604 in CPUmark.
↑ GT72 equips with Super RAID 3 512GB SSD, which provide a 5 seconds start up time(From button to desktop). Average getting a 1,586 MB/s READING speed, and 1,325 MB/s WRITING speed on ATTO Disk Bench Mark.
↑ And the HDD getting an average 133 MB/s READING speed and an average 131 MB/s WRITING speed.
↑ Tested it with another software, and got a result of 1422 MB/s READING speed and 1081 MB/s WRITING speed on SSD, isn't that much differences from the test above.
    ↑ A 125 MB/s READING speed and 105 MB/s WRITING speed on HDD.
    ↑ Take a look on GTX980MB
Benchmark by using 3DMark Professional Edition:
    3D Mark 11 Advanced Edition:
    ↑ On ENTRY level
    ↑ On PERFORMANCE level
    ↑ On XTREAME level
Besides on gaming performance, it's very important to make sure it support casual works as well.
↑ On PCmark 8 HOME for some common home computing test: 4653
↑ On PCmark 8 CREATIVE for experts and proffesionals: 5445
↑ On PCmark 8 WORK for some simple office productivity test: 4401
↑ On PCmark 8 STORAGE to test SSD & HDD: 5017, and getting a average 330 MB/s Storage bandwidth.
At last, we'll be doing CPU heat test:
↑ Before we run the test, the cores temperature is around 40 degrees, and 33 degrees on hard disk.
↑ After we had run for a 30 minutes maxed performance test, with full fans on, we're getting 75 - 80 degrees on CPU cores and unbelievable still 33 degrees on hard disk.
To be honest, after tried on GT72 Dominator PRO, I just can't live without it anymore.
The BattleField 4 running smoothly with photoshop on background, I can finally play some video games while taking a break on my photo editing and graphic design works, in the coffee shop of course.
Although it looks pretty heavy, but it's actually much portable than I thought, in facts it's phenomenal thin for such a powerful performance beast.
Carry around with the backpack it provided isn't a difficult task at all.
Besides, one last thing to show:
↑ Sexiest design that let the heats never became an issue anymore.

  • Flash player to fullscreen non widescreen.

I have looked several places and I can't seem to find anyone that can help me with this I want to know how to get Flash Player(on websites) to go completely fullscreen on my 1280x1024 display without it keeping its widescreen values. I want it to fit to the whole screen without it being widescreen and showing black areas on the top and bottom to fill in the extra space. Is there any way to edit some computer settings or flash player settings to do this? I am specifically talking about viewing streams on Twitch.tv, but any flash player based site would also be helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

This is something that the website (twitch.tv for example) would need to implement, Flash Player does not dictate the video dimensions.
However, unless the widescreen content is zoomed/cropped or the aspect ratio is changed, causing the video to become stretched/squished, there's not much you can do about letter boxing when going from 16:9 to 5:4.

  • Firefox freezes whilst scrolling down on Facebook, and a bit more

Well, I have some problems with Firefox. Firstly, it freezes for 2-3 seconds when I try to scroll down so that new content would appear on the page. Secondly, Firefox makes error whilst watching a stream on Twitch.tv and it was something like "stop plugin or continue". (I am not sure about the details) And ultimately, Firefox is literally way slower than Chrome as far as I experienced. Despite not freezing, scrolling down/up on the other websites, like Reddit, is still a hideous experience for me on these last versions of Firefox. (I think these problems started after Firefox 2 firstly, yet it accumulated until today and it is unbearable right now for me.)
Anyway, I am on the verge of uninstalling Firefox because of these speed/crash issues all the time I encounter. I really really need help. Thanks so much!
By the way, my laptop has:
    Intel i5 4200m cpu @ 2.5 ghz
    8.00 gb ram
    nvidia geforce gt 740m
And I have AdBlock, Last Pass add-ons on my browser.

  • Video playback is always low quality on my iPhone 6 plus, even when connected to wifi

I Have Searched and couldn't find any answers. Everytime I play any video from any source the playback quality is terribly low. 240p would be my guess if not lower. It happens when connected to wifi or lte. It won't buffer to eventually stream in hd or 480p even. I've tried a restore, tried downloading a third party YouTube app and still no luck. The only succes that I've d is when streaming from twitch, I will get hd quality. Please help. Thanks!

I also happen to have T-Mobile, but the problem happened on WiFi as well as you mentioned and therefore didn't seem to be related to carrier.
I expect your videos are playing normally again like mine since yesterday morning. I guess it had something to do with the video codecs/standards being used by major video service providers like you thought, but I found it curious that so many different video sources beyond YouTube caused me the same problem during that time. I did find that Daily Motion worked fine when the other services weren't working, so I knew it had to be service (and what standards they were using) specific.
Still, how were there not tons and tons of other people experiencing this!? I had it happen on both my 6+ and my iPhone 4. Maybe there were other factors specific to my area/connection (outside of connection speed which was always fine) that resulted in it, but still...

  • Keeps repeating "trial" on playback?

So I recently started streaming on twitch and using this program to filter the noise out around and amplify my voice some. It works perfectly except for the fact that when I stream it repeats the word "trial" every 5-10 seconds. I am using the trial at the moment, but this is pretty inconvenient as the trial doesn't really let me fully test it. D:
Any one else ever notice this? Or can anyone help? Or am I just stuck having to buy it just to get it to stop saying trial over and over?

Yeah I know. Ehh, maybe if I just try closing it and creating a new track in it with the same settings. I have no idea why it is, but some friends and I kept hearing it on a stream last night. Was weird.
I'll just keep messing with it.
