Streaming Videos Turn Green

Hi!
I didn't find any solutions to this, but I was wondering if someone here knows how to fix this problem?
When I watch streaming clips in Firefox with Quicktime, my video screen turns green, but the sound still continues. This happens if my mouse moves over the video screen, if other applications cover it for a second or if I switch between tabs.
Any help is very much appreciated!

  • Video turns green

I have a sequence of clips and at a couple places, the video turns green for a split-second, as if it was scrambled. However, when I go frame by frame, the green doesn't show up. I export it out to a QuickTime file and the green shows up there, too. strangely enough, the green shows up in other areas when I go frame by frame, but not in regular speed.
    What is wrong?

By any chance were these clips converted to DV from a VOB? I've occasionally seen this happen with clips I've from a DVD using DVxDVD ... I usually re-convert em

  • Online Videos turning green and going in fastforward.

All videos randomly go green and then fastforward to the end while making a weird crackling noise.
Steps I have already tried. I have turned off video acceleration, used different browser, updated video drivers and reinstalled adobe all to no avail. The most recent thing I have done is install an older version of adobe. This seems to get rid of the green screen problem  it however creates its own problem and videos randomly get stuck.
I usually can find help with most problems through google but I can't find any good assistance with this one so any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks for the time,
    Daniel
I don't know how I should put my system info on here but im running windows 7 64 bit, AMD Radeon hd 6800 series video card and I can't say what else is important to note ( although im sure there is alot of things)

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time reproducing it.   I believe that you guys are seeing it, and would like to get it fixed.  I just can't make it happen in the lab at this point.
I spent the better part of a day running Naruto videos in my second monitor last week on the closest Win7 laptops I could find with no luck.
I was thinking that maybe it had to do with packet loss and network latency (Adobe has a sweet Internet connection, which I was thinking might mask this kind of problem), so I built out a Wide Area Network simulator to run all my traffic through.  It drops, stalls and corrupts packets pretty aggressively.  I ran youtube for a solid day on a stuttery, terrible simulated connection and didn't see the green frames there either.
I'm still very much interested in the problem, but I'm stumped about what the common denominator is.  If Hardware Acceleration is off, we're using the software codecs built into Flash Player -- those issues should reproduce consistently across machines.
I've heard some complaints about a couple software firewall and browser/security suites in the forums, but haven't had a chance to do any kind of deep investigation there yet.
If you guys have things installed that might be contributing -- any kind of video capture tools, virus/security/malware packages (especially the free/off-brand ones), third-party browser plug-ins, etc, I can try installing those to see if the issues reproduce.
Short of re-installing Windows, it would be interesting to create a new user on Windows as an experiment.  If the issue isn't happening on your machine with the default profile settings (resolution, etc), then you've isolated the variable down to a fairly short list of things to look at.

  • Videos Turning Green in Safari

When playing videos on the site www.golfchannel.com, the video starts with no problem but after a few seconds turns to green, blue, yellow. Audio is okay, the video keeps playing but the only thing I can see is a bunch of green and other colours. See screenshot below.
    - This happens with every video on only the site mentioned
    - All other sites that have video I can play video no problem, seems to be site specific, only in Safari
    - I'm using a 2014 Macbook Pro Retina, Mac OSX 10.9.5, Safari 7.1, Latest Version of Flash player installed
    - The videos on that site work fine in Chrome and Firefox
    Any suggestions most appreciated.

From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

  • Problems with Flash Player videos turn green

I have windows 8 computer, Internet Explorer 11, and the Flash Player came installed on my computer. On or about May 31 , 2014, every time my computer is on for awhile, my Flash Player turns my video green, and I can not figure out how to change it back , other then turn my computer off and restart.
I have read so many reasons why, and what to do. I did make sure it was Enabled, and ActiveX Filtering is unchecked. Still having problems. How do I fix this? This computer was bought Dec 31, 2013. I have checked and made sure all is working on it.

"Green" usually indicates an outdated graphics driver; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

  • QT playing video a few seconds then turns green

I've tried a bunch of things but still can't fix this problem. When playing back a quicktime file either streaming or downloaded, video plays a few seconds then turns green and starts using a lot of system resources. I'm using Nvidia video card and have no problems playing any other types of media. Is this a problem with codec or QT7 and graphics card?

Always best for initial first time startup, to do it with just one RAM stick in the primary blue dimm slot. A couple thoughts, first is use just the one RAM stick & load the OS & all the drivers, then add the other sticks. The other thought is to try each RAM stick individually in the primary slot to rule out a bad or failing stick.

  • . When I go into facebook and try to watch a video , the screen turns green.

I have a HP 23 P114 all in one computer. When I go into facebook and try to watch a video , the screen turns green.  How can I correct this? It comes with Adobe 17?
What can I do to correct this.

    Hey @billnaboo ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue with the Video not working correctly or green. Try clicking on the green screen, in the tab named Local Storage and put 10 KB and the green screen should disappear.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating as the graphic driver could need updating.
Have you tried another browser? This link will help you update your browser if needed.
Let me know how this goes.
    Thanks.

  • When I watch any kind of video the screen turns green, what should I do?

When ever I watch a video of one I video taped or one on YouTube or a music video the screen turns green. How can I stop my iPhone from doing this?

Most YouTube content requires Flash. Apple does not support Flash for iOS devices.
Try using the pre installed YouTube app.

Need much more information than this. What kind of movie? Is it from iTunes or a legitimate provider of movies? Or is it something else?

  • No video as the screen turns green.

When trying to watch a video, as in tech support and movies,  the screen turns green.

    Hi,
    Try the following first.
    Start a video playing.
Right click on the video ( green screen ) and select Settings.
Remove the tick from the box next to 'Enable Hardware Acceleration' and then click close.
Refresh the current page and see if the video now plays Ok.
If the above fails to correct the issue, try a clean installation of the flash plugin/ActiveX as follows.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the PC.
When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
When the installation has completed, restart the PC.

  • Playback Screen turns Green. Audio is fine but no Video

I have been trying to find a solution on the web but can't seem to find the answer that will help my case of the FCP playback screen turns green with no video. Audio plays back fine. Everything was working fine until today. Something changed - what did changed. The recent video files I uploaded with my Sony Video Camera worked fine, played back fine, uploaded fine, and that played back normally - until today. Why did this happen? Any one found the culprit and a fix?

Thank you Studio X and David for responding. Yes, I will stay away from m4v formats.
Do you have a fix on how to solve the "Codec could not be opened"?
I am scheduling an appointment with the Apple Store but I am not sure if the Genius Bar guys are up on FCP and knowledgable to figure out what changed and how to change it back to be able to playback my capture scratch files. I noticed some of the past capture scratch files no longer work and get the flashing dark green screen but some do work. It's a software issue but what is it? Any ideas?
