Stretching and cropping photos on the page in Pages

I'm using Pages 09 4.3 and I want to pull in a photo, crop it and stretch it in Pages. Is that possible?

How did you transfer it to the PC?
Not good to export as a Word .doc/x, better to:
Menu > Export > PDF

Crop and Resize photo within the COD service in ESS

Anyway to crop and resize photo within the COD webdynpro java component in ESS?

No what i mean is how to allow the user to upload a photo using the COD service but also allow them to crop and resize the image as documented here:

The solution above does not use the webdynpro COD service in ESS, it is a portal component with embedded JavaScript which also only stores the photo on portal only (not the infotype in ECC). I guess I need to figure out how to add these javascript files to the webdynpro COD service in ESS. Although I don't think Webdynpro Java allows you to add javascript.

On iPhoto, I can no longer access the 'Classic' option which would lay out my photos on the page. It will send them as attachments only. I need the page layout for my work. Any thoughts as to why this has changed?

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto

I have 10.6.8 and have installed two new printers HP 8610 and an Epson 7880 and can not find the Page Set-up menu anywhere in the applications I a trying to print from. This is regardless of either printer selected.
I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5. The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?

Hey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders. You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem. Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File", then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu.    I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine.   The Browse Backups opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine. I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day.   I then clicked "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen.   Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal.   When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1). I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend.   I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu, when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library.   Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
I am now a happy camper.
I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed.   Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto, that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto?     If so have you clicked "upgrade"?
Good luck Liz, if you have Time Machine running as a back up to your library, maybe you wil be able to get help there, by following my instructions above.   Otherwise,   good luck with your investigations.   I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.

Problem uploading enhanced and crop photos

When I upload enhanced and crop photos from my iPad2 to Dropbox the original photo gets uploaded.
I am using the native iPad photo app on my iPad2 to enhance and crop I see that there are others with similar problems but no real solution. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if this is Apple issue. Seems I have wasted a lot of time enhancing photo but can't share them. Very annoying!!!

Disregard lasts - I see the issue now having played around a little. Do your crop, email it to yourself, click on the checkout arrow at top of email screen and hit save image. Image is saved back to photoroll in cropped state. The original cropped image appears in photoroll. Click it, select image and then edit and revert. It will go back back - but the saved photo from email stays as it is..
You can now upload the saved image to dropbox. Hope this resolves your issue, Regards, Ct

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. If the icons are from dmg files that were used to install 3rd party apps like this one for VueScan
Control (right) - click on the open dmg icon and select "Eject xxxx" from the contextual window.
Then find the actual dmg file associated with those icons
and drag to the Trash in the Dock and empty.

iOS Reset -
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

Hi jholzworth,
It sounds like you might have accidentally hit the zoom button. Try hitting ''CTRL + 0'' to return it to normal size. Just so you are aware, ''CTRL'' and ''+'' will zoom in and ''CTRL'' and ''-'' will zoom out.

If you are able to you should sign out using the Cloud manager program before you reset. YOu will be able to download again after the rest if you need to.
