Strictly lower or upper specification limit

Hi Experts,
Do you know if it is possible to maintain strictly lower/upper specification limits ?
For instance: 30 < measured value < 40
Currently I have to entered 30,01 <= measured value <= 39,99 (depending on the number of decimal places)

I think this is not possible but in that case you have to put the maximum or minimum value in UL & LL which is acceptable to you always.

1.     While creating MIC you create it with upper, lower and target limits.
2.     The same MIC when you use in inspection plan, all the control indicators and lower, upper values get copied in to inspection plan from MIC.
3.     In fact this is the reason you can use this characteristic for several material.
Kindly excuse me as I could not interpret the term when I trying to digit the values . To digit value means what?
Whether you want to put different values in inspection plan rather than getting copied from MIC? If yes, you can do so. Just overwrite the values on QP01/QP02 and save.

Hi, we are entering the lower specific limit and upper limit as 100 and 200 in qp02 screen for certain MIC. The table name mentioned as QFLTP, which is a structure. I want to know in which table this values were saved?

Use PLMK or QAMV if you want to get the specification from the lot. In this the values will be E which can be interpreted
for eg 5,5000000000000000E+01 means 55
9,0000000000000002E-01 = .9

Which is better, the sid name in lower or upper case? When I created a database with sid name in UPPER case, my file_name in dba_data_files is something like this, /u01/oradata/TESTDB/users01.dbf.
So base on your experience, should the sid name be in lower or upper case? Thank you in advance.

I've habituated to upper case, even though as a unix bigot I tend to do things in lower case. Don't forget dbname and service names in their various places too, obscure bugs in various places have popped up with those over the years.
See Bug 9438890 - DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT.CLEAN_AUDIT_TRAIL does not work for AUDIT_TRAIL=OS with uppercase ORACLE_SID for a recent silly example. Someone somewhere must have been slapping their forehead over that one.

Lower and upper case repair

I have a macbook air. It felt down from my hand on its corner and has damaged. The up-left corner is chamfered like 0.5 cm on both lower and upper cases. I would like to know what can I do to repair its body since there is not any software problem with it. Does apple fix it and if yes, how much does it cost.

Yes, Apple can repair. You'll have to take it to the Apple store to find out the cost, and you should probably be sitting down when they tell you the cost.

Photos lower and upper menu don't disappear

When browsing photos the lower and upper menu used to disappear after a few seconds. Now they don't. They stay over the top and lower part of the photos. Is there a place where you can change settings for this?

In addition to the suggestions offered so far, without the ability to restore the iPhone, there are only a couple of things I can suggest.
There are two methods that should turn off the, as mentioned, a tap on the display should get the bars to vanish. Holding your finger on a section of the image for about 1-2 seconds should also get the bars to turn off.
There is no built-in setting that controls the display of the bars.
You mentioned that you've "rebooted" the iPod. Did you mean powering it down and restarting it, or actually resetting it by holding down both buttons. If resetting with both buttons doesn't resolve the issue, the next step(s) would need to be done when you are back at your computer. Once you are back at your computer, the first thing you may want to do is import the pictures into whatever photo software you are using.

SharePoint crawled property with both lower and upper case

I have web page which has meta tag, like CN_ABC, then after I crawled these pages, and when I try to map this property to a managed property, I always see there are two crawled property available, one is CN_ABC, the other is CN_abc, only difference is
the lower case and upper case, I have seen this in many other site and many other meta tag, what was happening?

The meta tag you mean is a site column created for the page library?
This doesn't seem can be happened, if it is a site column, then it will create a crawled property for the column, named like: ows_sitecolumn, also, CN_ABC, CN_abc is not to distinguish lower or upper case, it should be CN_ABC or cn_abc.
I would suggest you to delete the related crawled property for the column, then do a full crawl, check whether it is happened, if it insistes, map the crawled property to different managed property, whether it returns same value.

TDS at lower rates for certian limit

Hi experts,
Income Tax Department gives vendors certifcate for lower deduction of
tax u/s 197, which is a permission to a payer to deduct NIL Tax or tax
at a lower rate. This permission is generally given for a Financical
Year. However, recently it is seen that these certificates are for a
certain Limit. eg: a vendor is given a certificate u/s 197 upto a limit
of Rs.10,00,000/- for NIL deduction. This means that as soon as the
payment to this vendor crosses Rs.10,00,000/- TDS is to be deducted at
the normal rates. THIS NEEDS TO BE CONFIGURED IN THE SYSTEM so that the
correct TDS is deducted and paid.

Dear Friend
In current Sap scenario it is not possible to have value cap on the withholding tax.
What we are doing is manually keeping tab on the value cap every month and The user is updated with the available limits. Once the cap is reached, the exemption validity date is changed from 31.03.2008 to the date on which the last invoice was posted. Any subsequent invoice attracts WT at full rate.
Somewhat cumbersome particularly in year end when most of the limits are reached but cannot help it.
We had suggested some customisation wherein the exemption percentage would be checked with the accumulated tax base amount but the same was rejected based on cost benefit ratio.
Would appreciate if you could think of something new and share the same.

As per your requirement you have to write logic for three conditions :
1. Translate whole word into upper case .
TRANSLATE your field name TO UPPERCASE.
2. Translate whole word into lower case .
TRANSLATE your field name TO LOWERCASE.
3. First character of your field should be in uppercase rest in lower case .
so write your logic now considering third point also .

Hi Alex,
This because, the field and table name that You are passing in lt_field, has a conversion attached to it, which causes the converison in case.
For e.g. If You pass MARA-MATNR and try to get the values from pop-up, the value will get converted to upper case, but if You pass MAKT-MAKTX (which does not have a converison attached to it), the value will be retrieved as it was entered. This is standard SAP, which is correct.
If You need to get values of any text field, pass any SAP text field as reference in your table lt_field. Hope this helps...

Small caps - is there a way to change size ratio of lower to upper case?

I am using Adobe InDesign CS4 and one problem I've had is that when I select Small Caps on the character styles panel, lower case characters are about 60% the size of upper case characters. I'd like this to be more around 80% in my document.
I don't see a way to do this, so I'm having to avoid using Small Caps and am having to select various portions of each word and set them to different sizes.
Is there a setting I am missing for Small Caps that would save me this trouble? My typeface is Minion so I may also see if there's a variant available that uses well-crafted small caps.

It doesn't have to be an extremely complicated GREP style. You mention Unicode ranges, but it's not even necessary. You could try
>[a-z]
to select all lowercase characters, but it leaves out accented ones. Now specifying ranges for these doesn't work very good (to put it mildly), because they do not appear consecutively in the Unicode set.
Fortunately, GREP has a wildcard
>\l
for "lowercase", and this matches

I'm attempting to stream a 2 hour 44 minute program. I export using QuickTime Player Pro adding hints for streaming. The resulting file is 2.3 GB is size. When streamed from a Darwin Streaming Server (version 5.5) at my ISP, I only get a message in the player: "Live Broadcast - Paused."
What is interesting, is that if I break the movie into two roughly equal parts and encode using the same settings, the streamed movie parts play correctly.
Is there some sort of upper limit on the size of a hinted movie, something perhaps around 2 GB, maybe because internal pointers are of a fixed bit-size?

Lower even - Upper odd

Hi.
Despite my best efforts I can't seem to render out a lower even file in Livetype. They always come out as upper odd. I want to render out the Voyager file as a back drop. There's no text on it - just the single Voyager file.
I select lower even in the panel. I click OKAY. Render out the file and bingo - it arrives as an upper odd. Going back to my panel shows upper odd selected again. It seems that I select lower even, click OKAY and it reverts to upper odd on export / render.
Any ideas anyone? I am working on a DV project in a PAL country.

I should have put my reply here, in case other PAL users strike this problem.
It can't be done in PAL. it's a bug in LT that's never been fixed. There have been a number of posts about this (including mine in April 2006).
However, luckily it doesn't affect the final DVD quality.
