StringListToXML not parsing a string list with quote

Hi,
I've been trying to parse this string out to XML but not successful due to the quotes.
Sample string:
A Test,N/A,N/A,-,N/A,N/A,-,N/A,N/A,-,"1,454","1,604",10%,100.0%,69.0%,(31%),375,302,(19%),375,208,(44%), 25.34 , 40.79 ,(61%),10,-
I've leaving the properties as they are and also tried to set the StripQuotes to 0. And it is still returning the value "1,454" as 2 row items, 1 and 454.
Is this a bug? If it is, is there any other way to tokenize the string?
Cheers,
Yin San

Hi Sascha,
I'm using 11.5.3. StringListToXML does not treat "1,234" as one item. With StripQuotes set to True, return items are 1 and 234. With StripQuotes set to False, return items are "1 and 234".
So, I'm going to try Rick's suggestion to use a WebScrapper and Regex.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer” error.
    Did you enable the both authentication (Windows and FBA) on default zone.
    As far as I remember when FBA is enabled on the same zone when Windows is used, it breaks whole client integration.
    So it will be better if you will recheck your architecture and will use different zones for Windows and FBA.
    There is also another thing to try: use claims based authentication with authentication provider which will work both with Windows and FBA.
    What’s more, you can also check with below steps.
    Use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
    Add the site into Trusted sites to check whether it works..
    Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
    In addition, you can also try to enable Basic authentication on the client computer, by setting the BasicAuthLevel registry entry of the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters

  • Your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer - related to multiple uploads?

    Hi folks -
    I've read through some threads regarding "Your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer" and it seems a lot of folks have a lot of solutions throughout the forum posts.  Is there anything official or semi-official regarding
    this?
    I've tried a lot of the fixes including:
    checking to see if the WebClient service is on
    modifying so-and-so registry (I've since changed them back since they seem to have no effect)
    and changing various settings in Internet Options including making sure the site is in the Local intranet zone.
    I could live without this functionality but just recently my upload-multiple-files functionality in SharePoint 2010 has also gone away (red x instead of directory UI).  I wonder if it's related somehow and could give us a clue.
    If it helps I'm using various browsers but of the IE flavor 8 and 9 32-bit as the base for testing this.

    For SharePoint 2013 (so could apply to 2010 as well), my problem was that I was trying to "Open with Explorer"
    something that probably can't be opened with Explorer. In my case, I just wanted to open my team's Shared Documents with Explorer. I found that when I first log into SharePoint and view the page, I'm presented with those Shared Documents, but also other things
    as well.
    To get "Open with Explorer" to work, I must click "Shared Documents" under the Libraries heading on
    the left. Then, all the other stuff (Links, Getting Started, etc.) go away and I'm focused on my team's shared documents. From there, I can go up to the Library Tools section in the ribbon, choose the Library tab in the ribbon, and click Open with Explorer.
    Works like a champ on Windows 7 64-bit, running IE 9 32-bit.
    Unfortunately that's not what was going on in my case.  One obvious way to check is to see if other people or other computers can Open with Explorer.  In my case it was just this one machine on my desk that had the issue.

  • Trying to open a sharepoint library in Windows Explorer via IE 8 results in the error "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer"

    I am attempting to connect to a Microsoft Sharepoint library, via the "Actions -> Open in Windows Explorer" option from the Sharepoint page.  When I do so, I get the error message "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer".  In short, I am trying to get the "drag and drop" functionality of a Sharepoint library.
    I am running Windows 7 64-bit and IE8.  The target Sharepoint environment is a MOSS 2007 EE.  My Windows "WebClient" service is running, and I have no problem connecting to this exact library via a Windows XP computer running IE8.

    Verify that the Webclient is started automatically from the Services.msc
    Verify that your Portal is in the Intranet local security zone (You can reach it from Your Internet Explorer Browser Security Tag) if not add it to the list
    restart the WebClient service if it's work good
    If not you have to create a network share to your portal URL directly not your documents library.
    Open Windows Explorer or My Computer from the Windows Start Menu.
    From the Tools menu, click Map Network Drive…. A new Map Network Drive window opens.
    In the Map Network Drive window, choose an available drive letter from the dropdown list located next to the "Drive:" option. Any drives already mapped will have a shared folder name displayed inside the dropdown list, next to the drive letter.
    Type the name of the folder to map wich is in this case your SharePoint Portal URL (Don't include the documents libraries)
    Click the "Reconnect at login" checkbox if this network drive should be mapped permanently. Otherwise, this drive will un-map when the user logs out of this computer.
    If the remote computer that contains the shared folder requires a different username and password to log in, click the "different user name" hyperlink to enter this information.
    Click Finish.
    I am looking for a suite method :)

  • Explorer View - Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer MOSS 2007 '

    We recently had a major deployement, after which Explorer View started giving error message.
    Before deployement, all was working fine.
    Error: Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer
    Webclient service is already enabled.
    The site has been added to trusted site lists.
    All Active-x controls have been enabled.
    Browser: Internet Explorer 8 - 32 bit.
    Microsoft Office 32 bit is also installed.
    Thanx in advance.

    You could try updating the following registry key on a client PC as a test: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Paramenters\AuthForwardServerList to include the URL of your sharpoint site. Add the root site and it might enable this functionality.

  • Spry can not  parse xml string

    while designind an mvc architecutre in php I found display
    data on site was slow so I generate a xml sheet an used spry Data
    loading was fast an dproduced and I also performed many operations
    like sorting ,galeery making ..etc... but main thing is that I can
    not parse a xml string using spry only a xml file can be parsed
    my application required to parse xml string

    I'm not sure if this is valid in your situation, but OC4J comes with Oracle XMLParser.
    Simply use the JAXP API to parse/build/modify XML and the Oracle XMLParser implementation will be used behind the scenes.
    If you must use xerces/xalan, try putting the jars in OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home/lib instead.

  • Parsing a TCL List with java

    I am writing a new client for a client/server application. The server was written in TCL and returns responses in TCL list format, in some cases as nested lists.
    Ex: {data { bob frank ted } 6 7}
    What I would like to do is pull out the nested part of the list {bob frank ted} and turn it into a java array {bob, frank, ted} and the remaining members into a second array {data,8,7}
    I have looked at regular expressions, the stringtokenizer, and various parsing classes - is there a single clean way of doing this?
    TIA
    Darrell

    Try something like this:import java.util.regex.Matcher;
    import java.util.regex.Pattern;
    class Main {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            String line = "{data { bob frank ted } 6 7}";
            String inner = myGroup(line);
            String outer = line.replace(inner, "");
            System.out.println(line+"\n=\n"+inner+"\n+\n"+outer);
        static String myGroup(String s) {
            Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile("\\{([^{}]*?)\\}");
            Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(s);
            return matcher.find() ? matcher.group() : null;
    }Or perhaps: http://tcljava.sourceforge.net/docs/website/index.html

  • Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer

    I can't open windows explorer view in one of web application, but other web applications are working well on windows explorer view in our client PCs.
    our associates are working on Windows 7 64bit Enterprise, but we only use IE8 32bit to browse intranet and internet. (I know the issue of IE 64bit on this problem)
    The dedicated MOSS2007 WFE server is Windows 2008R2+IIS7.5 and Desktop experience+Webclient service been started and dedicated MOSS DB server with SQL2005SP4.
    The strenge thing is why only one of web applications are not able to be opened by Windows Explorer view, but others are working well.
    I compared all setups/parameters what I can do with other web applications, I didn't find any differences in IIS of Win2k8R2.
    Can anybody help on this case? or you have similar cases are able to share with me, whatever it is working or not, or just a clew that I can refer to chase this issue.
    Or is there any issue or exiting bugs on MOSS2007 that we were not informed before?
    thanks!

    Check if there is any other firewall of network device which is causing t his issue:

  • IE11/Win 8.1 error 'Your client does not support opening this list in windows explorer'

    I hoping someone might be able to help with this frustrating issue.
    I work on a project where we are using various versions of on-line SharePoint (2007/O365).  In order to quickly drag and drop folders we need to often open the document libraries by using the 'open in windows explorer view'.
    Using the same device, on occassion this works.  But often it gives a rather unhelpful message 'Your client does not support opening this list in Windows Explorer'.
    I've searched for this issue over the net and confirm that the sites are added to the 'trusted' sites area and that the 'remember you credientials' is checked on logging in.However, the searches do not seem to apply to IE11/Win8.1 or on-line version of sharepoint
    (the suggested hot fix is not suitable)
    Only this morning, using the same device I was able, for a short while to open in explorer view, and then for no apparent reason, it began to display the error message.  I had changed nothing regarding settings or even closed the browser.
    Do you have any support/ideas/fixes on how to resolve this.
    Many thanks
    val

    Hi Val,
    sometimes an answer can be found on the internet by typing the error message from your computer into your favourite search engine.
    eg.

    follow the directions given above.... you need to add the domains to your Intranet sites list, not the Trusted sites list.
    Perhaps you already have it mapped to your intranet zone....in which case make sure that you have unchecked "Enable Enhance Protected Mode" on the Intranet  zone dialog in Internet Options.
    If this is happening 'randomly' on client machines, then users are probably changing their internet security settings in Internet Options. Ensure they are accepting the default.... Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default".
    Consult with your system administrators to find out if they are applying a custom security template for the Intranet zone... It may be removing the sharepoint domains from the client Intranet zone's domains lists.

  • Create a Delivery note from a picking List and many binallocations

    Hi,
    Recently, I get how create a delivery note form a picking list with batchnumbers, but now I have the following case.
    Quantity       Product       SerialAndBatchNumbersBaseLine
    10                ID200                              0
    5                  ID200                              1
    now I set the batchNumbers
    location    batchnumber       quantity
    02-A              XY                   10
    02-B              YY                    5    <---    this location give me error.
    now the rest of articles
    Quantity       Product       SerialAndBatchNumbersBaseLine
    10                ID200                              0
    5                  ID200                              1
    location    batchnumber       quantity
    02-A              XY                   10
    02-B              XY                    5
    etc.
    I get the next error:
    1470000344 - Batch "YY" of item "ID200" in bin location "3108" falls into negative inventory.
    When I find this "3108" this "select * from OBIN where AbsEntry = 3108" is the batchnumber for XY and not YY.
    so how is the way to create a delivery note with many binallocations?
    (if required I will paste code.)
    Kind regards,
    Pablo

    Hi Pablo,
    based on the code from the other thread it should be like that for the first row:
    delivery.Lines.ItemCode = "ID200";
    delivery.Lines.Quantity = 15;
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.BinAbsEntry = 3107; // guessed AbsEntry
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.Quantity = 10;
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.SerialAndBatchNumbersBaseLine = 0;
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.Add();
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.BinAbsEntry = 3108;
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.Quantity = 5;
    delivery.Lines.BinAllocations.SerialAndBatchNumbersBaseLine = 1;
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.Location = "02-A";
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.BatchNumber = "XY";
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.Quantity = 10;
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.Add();
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.Location = "02-B";
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.BatchNumber = "YY";
    delivery.Lines.BatchNumbers.Quantity = 5;
    You got now :
    1 Delivery Row, Quantity 15
    2 BinLoc Rows, Quantity 10+5
    2 Batch Rows, Quantity 10+5
    regards,
    Maik

  • Is it possible to create a numbered list with text label?

    I'm using Pages 5.0 on Mac OS X Mavericks.
    I'm writing a document that consists of tables and figures, which I'd like to number. For both objects I use a numbered list, which I prepend to the caption for easy reference. Ideally I'd like to have two lists (one for each type) with a label which contains both a text and a number, the tabels would look like this:
    For tables: "TABLE <number>:"
    For figures: "FIGURE <number>:"
    While it's not hard to create lists with either a text or a number label, I can't figure out how to combine the two.
    So my question: is what I'm trying to do possible and if yes, how do I achieve the desired effect?

    What you are asking for has never been a feature in Pages. I don't think that is an added feature in Pages 5.0 either.
