Structual Authorization related to Appraisal PD module

Hi,
I have created appraisal templates properly but i am facing following issue.
If a person is having roles as well as Structural Authroization for related PA then in Infotype he can see details in"Appraisal where Appraiser or Appraisee" column only if Appraiser and Appraisee belongs to PA for which he can see details.
If Appraiser belongs to different PA then in Infotype 25 , details r not coming.
My requirement is that in infotype user can see all the details for user if appraisers belongs to different PA.
Can you please help me ?

Thanks for the response.
My requirement is like following.
Suppose there are 3 users A, B and C. I m logging through user ID A into SAP system. User A is having some roles in the system and he can see the employees data of PA for which he has authorization. We have given Structural Auth to user A for that PA (enterprise) also. We have given Struct auth for Appraisal templates also.
Now if he is checking data for employee B. and C has given feedback for user B. If A, B and C belongs to same PA then A can see the Appraial template in IT0025 but if C belongs to different PA for which user A is not having auth to see data then A user can't see appraisal document in IT 0025.
When i delete all the structural auth for user A then it's working properly. But we have to give sturctural auth to user A.
I hope you understood my requirement now. Kindly let me now if u have any doubt.

Hi All,
Our client has a specific requirement for controlling Structual Authorization.
when we create a strucutral profile, we have the Parameter 'Period' which can have following values :
Setting Period of Responsibility
<BLANK> ( = all) 01.01.1800 - 31.12.9999
D ( = key date) no period
M ( = current month): no period
Y ( = current year): no period
P ( = past): 01.01.1800 - today
F ( = future): today - 31.12.9999
We have the requirement to control the authorization on FISCAL YEAR based i.e the period should be current fiscal year ( April to March ).
Can we acheive this through any exit, badi or enchancement ? Any hit on this will be helpful.

When you configure structural authorization profiles you can use functional module to select objects. There you can create the logic that you need. Please check following existing modules:
RH_GET_MANAGER_ASSIGNMENT (Determine organizational units for manager)
RH_GET_ORG_ASSIGNMENT (Organizational assignment)

Structual authorization set up for departments

Hello all,
We are trying to figure out the best way of setting up a structual authorizations for the following scenario. I appreciate your inputs relating to this.
We have a 'Purchasing department' head by a Vice president. Under him are the two Purchasing Managers and we have executives reporting the purchasing managers. We would want to make 'Purchasing department' as one organization unit. However, in structural authorization what is the best way to restrict the purchasing managers assigned to same organization unit such that they do not access executives that report to other managers. We thought of using position to position however heard that SAP standard roles delivered in areas such as MSS are organization unit driven and not position driven.
Instead of creating multiple organization units and control the structural authorization through them, what will be easiest way in this scenario ?.

Normally I would prefer using separate org units here - But as understand your requirement - that's not an option.
I would advice against building this based on position, but what can be done is:
1. Create a new/find a relation in HR describing the relation the reporting relation between the Purchasing managers and the executives.
2. Create an evaluation path (Transaction OOAW) defining the path from the purchasing managers to executive.
3. Now you can create a structural profile using this evaluation path.

Authorization related with warehouses

Hi experts,
I want to make authorization related with warehouses. Only particular users can do material transfer (by MIGO - movement type 311) in a paticular warehouse. How can I do?

You'd have to use the authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
You'd have to make the following ACTVT=XX;WERKS=PLNT; LGORT=SLOC; BWART=311;
PLNT is your plant
SLOC is the storage location.
XX = 03 (display only) or
Use SU21 to view the object (use find button) and double click to display documenation (or) ask your BASIS administrator.
Before you can implement the authorization object you need to activate authorization check at storage location level in transaction S_ALR_87000261 else M_MSEG_LGO won't work. You also need to understand the consequence of this is that it will hog the system performance which is why authorization check is inactive by default.

NO Authorization error when accessing Functional module RH_CUT_OBJECT

Hi,
I am getting NO AUTHORIZATIOn error when I am executing SE37-->FUNCTIONAL OBJECT-RH_CUT_OBJECT.
I also checked SU53 screenshot which says AUTHORIZATION CHECK SUCCESSFUL and there are no errors or missing authorizations highlighted in SU53.
I switched on the TRACE-ST01 then also the error is not captured.
I would like to know WHY am I getting NO AUTHORIZATION error.
I am already having access to T-CODE SE37, SE11, SE80, SMARTFORMS and authorization object S_DEVELOP.
I need to know this ASAP on why I am getting NO AUTHORIZATION error when I am trying to access the FUNCTIONAL MODULE RH_CUT_OBJECT whereas I am having all the required authorization required for ABAP Developer including SE37.
Is it something I need change at ABAP code level.
Please advise ASAP.

The reason is ..You do not have acess to see/acess the data this FM is trying to acess ...Debug the function module keep a breakpoint at The Raise statement see which authorization you do not have ....BTW this is my guess you are trying to demilit certain objects /infotypes using this FM and delimit basically makes that object non-usable in that system .So it is quite evident that every one will not have authorization for that .Please post in detail that what is it that you are trying to achieve using this function module .....
Also you can check with debugging which authority object is being checked before raising the message and can ask security team to get that added to your profile ....

First I suggest you add a lot more info. Are you doing this in Crsytal Report Designer or are you referring to one of the SAP applications? If an SAP app then please mark this case as answered and post your question to the SAP forums.
If you are using Crystal Reports then need more info like the version and what those tables are and if you can use a common link?

Mass authorization for Property Manager (PN) module

Hello,
We are examining this module in a 12.1 environment and are wondering if there is a way to mass authorize Payment Schedule lines that will be exported to AP. We are using a 3rd party system currently to manage 900+ leases and so far it looks like we would need to click the Approve button for each lease, and do so each month. The authorize screen is found in the seeded responsibility menu path Leases and Documents->Payments->Authorize. If there is not a seeded Concurrent request that is run, could one be easily developed?

Hi Ryan,
You can run the seeded "Approve or Cancel Approval of Schedules" program to authorize/approve multiple schedules. Based on the parameters entered by you, qualifying draft schedules will be approved. You can use the same program to un-approve schedules (in case you inadvertently approve some schedules).
After approving, you can either use the Export to Payables screen OR run the "Export Payment Items to AP" concurrent program to export eligible items to AP.

Authorization Object for Update Function Module

I have a Update Function Module and that FM should be executed based on the Authorization Object .
I had created a Auth Object with Proper roled assigned to user and i also did the following
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT <Obj Name>
ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '38'.
If Sy-subrc EQ 0.
<Process the following>
End IF.
But the Auth Object is not working correctly like in the ebugging eventhough my role is not assigned to this Auth Object
it is giving me sy-subrc as 0 (but in my case it must be not be zero.)
Is it anything like Auth Object wont work on Update function Module or else is there any different approach we need to follow
to acheive the functionality .

we need to develop a tool to findout the custom WF, custom BOR and workflow related Zfunction modules used in a particular workflows in the client system.
Eg-
I have a custom workflow i need to find the list of all zfunction modules , z includes used in that Workflow.
please suggest us the table names which stores ZFunction module or z includes used in particular workflow

The only way to do this is to read through the source code of all the objects accessed within workflow and look for the relevant ABAP statements that access Z tables or function modules.

As far as the objects are concerned, this is another story altogether. Something as simple as using an SAP standard object attribute in work item text could actually be a delegated subtypes with a redefined virtual attribute.
So you need to scan everything: all tasks in a workflow and methods, as well as all container elements of each step. You will also need to navigate the object hierarchy to deal with delegation and subtypes. Then you need to consider propagation, what about Zfunction modules called by Zfunction modules in workflow? What if the method submits a report - you would need to scan that report and everything else that it calls and so on.
This could be a fiendish challenge but sounds like a fun project. Good luck!

HR Authorization related

Dear Team,
If related, reply. as this is related to Authorization.
I have a requirement which is to be fulfiled in the best way possible and later maintainance and monitoring to be easy.
In our organization, we need to separate authorization with respect to Executive employees and Non-Executive Employees.
Non-Executive employees are in Employee Subgroup 06-99.
Executive employees belong to Employee Subgroup 01-05.
Currently, we are creating two separate roles exactly the same authorization but different in object P_ORGIN, PERSK as 01-05 FOR Executives and 06-99 for Non-Executives.
Like this we have at least 80 roles. If needed for Executives, we need another 80 additional roles by having the PERSK as 01-05.
Is there a solution where we can have an option, if employee belongs to this subgroup, give this authorization. Your experienced help would really be appreciated to this query.

Must my BC for my Tables be related in the Package.Module?

Hi,
To create an application with related pages/tables, must my Modules be in a 'parent/child' setup in the Package.Module? If not, How do I keep the pages related to eachother (i.e. customer, phone, etc)?

I am using viewlinks that carry over into enabling Master/details for the BC inside the Pakcage.Module. Else, viewlinks don't work. So I end up creating a
master-Detail-Detail-Detail-etc. with say Customer as the Master. If I wanted to start a search say on Address, I need to set up a whole new Master-Detail-Detail-etc so the Address can "drive" the data. If this is the route I have to take to create a flexible application, I will have redundant .jsp pages. This will cause problems when an update needs to take place on a page becuase there will be multiple copies throughout the applicaiton. Can I pass parameters between Masters so that they can all take a Master or Detail role in the application? if so, how can I?

Relative Adjustments in Develop Module and Presets...

Hi there,
the new Lightroom 4 beta is great and has some really good improvements inside (e.g. the "new" shadows/highlight or the new possibilities in the adjustment brush).
But what I really miss is the possibility to make relative adjustments in the Develop Module. Primary this is useful in presets to make steps of correction. I can do very limited relative adjustments for single parameters partially in the Library Module, but it goes not far enough and I can not save any preset from that or even combinations of adjustments.
An Example:
I have an image which is nearly perfect. All adjustments are almost done. Now, I want to give the image a +10 in Clarity or -3 in Brightness relative to all current adjustments. Those relative adjustments are perfectly to increase or decrease simple adjustments stepwise, but also really helpful for stepwise bringing in or out more complex adjustments.
Another Example:
I have an image with no corrections. No I can push Clarity, Shadows/Highlights, Saturation etc. from a preset which brings in more and more of a complex set of adjustments, which are just right for this type of image.
I think, a small checkbox behind a slider would be perfect to set relative or absolute adjustments. This settings should be saved within a preset to make some/all adjustments relative to the exisiting ones, or - if deactivated - absolute adjustment, like in the current version of Lightroom.
What do you think about that? It would be great to see that in future betas or the final Lightroom 4 product.

If they've been discussed at length, I'm surprised not to see them. Much has been provided that I would have guessed has received less requests.
And while I understand that Adobe might simply want feedback on what they have provided, what would be the best forum for letting them know what we feel has not yet been provided.
