Structure in Graph view

Hi
I have created Structure in BI query with Restrictions & Selection. I want to show it in the graph but i am not able to see that when i select a graph. I can see if i use the table. But my user wants both table as well as graph, how do i configure graph for that?

I am assuming that structure you are talking is with 'Key Figures'. If you want to show it in graph then it should be in the columns otherwise VC will not treat as 'Data Series' & you will not able to create graph on that. Do one thing just reverse the rows & columns structure & then check in VC. You will get all structure elements as 'Data Series'

I have exported ODBC path manually.
export ODBCINI=$ORACLE_INSTANCE/bifoundation/OracleBIApplication/$ORACLE_BI_APPLICATION/setup/odbc.iniAnd then executed the nqcmd command. Now I am getting the different error.

Customizing Graph View in OBIEE 11G

Hi!
I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.6. In line graph data labels in graph view are coming on the line so some values are not readable, we have to show values always
How can we move the data labels above the line or below the line. I understand its differnt then in 10g where we use corda engie for graph & with help of PCXML file in POPBIN
we could customize the graph view. what is equivalent of POPBIN or PCXML file in 11g

Screen Structure for Extended View" in "Overview of Notification Type"

When I am using the function "Screen Structure for Extended View" in "Overview of Notification Type" in SPRO, I am not able to make any changes to "Tab Page Allocation" and areas under "Screen Area" What should i do to overcome this.

Hi,
The "Tab Page Allocation" setting determines how many sub-screens can be added to the tab. It is therefore not possible to change this field for some tabs which are designed to be single screen only. Example - 10\TAB10 (items), 10\TAB11 (tasks).
Should be changeable on tabs that allow multiple subscreens. Exampel - 10\TAB02 (Additional data).

Hiding a hierarchy column in graph view

Hi All,
In an compound layout I would like to have pivot view and bar chart view.
There are two hierarchy columns in criteria. These column should display in pivot view.
My requirement is to hide the hierarchy columns in Bar chart view and can we apply separate selection steps for each view.

Hi,
Edit the pivot table and graph and at the below you can see the selection steps for the individual components. So that you can give separately for each of the components.

Can simulations delete previous pages in graph view

When I run simulations with Multisim 13.0 it will add new pages to the grap view windows but after a while I will need to clear the pages with Edit->Clear pages.
Is it possible when I run a simulation that the previous pages from previous simulations are deleted automatically ?
I saw the ' Auto-close pages ' in the Edit menu but I don't know the use of it and can't find help in the help system for it.

Hi Pierre,
The option to close a graph automatically is not available; you have to use the 'Clear' option.
When the 'auto-close pages' is checked, once you close a design any graphs relating to that design will close.
To search for any feature, press F1 and then click the "Search" tab. enter the keyword such as 'auto-close pages', in this example I got two results and one of which is "Grapher Edit menu. When you click on this, you will get to the page with the description about this feature.

I am unable to trace the underlying SAP structure name for SearchResult Node in GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER.
I need the name of the structure, as i need to modify my Result View by adding another field to it for output display.

OADP 'Depth of structure' in List view

In OADP configuration, can 'Depth of Structure' be used when using List display only?
I have configured OADP (Object & data provider) for manager direct reports without navigation objects and for some reason the setting ignore the 'Depth of Structure' and shows all levels of employees in the reporting line.
My configuration for 'My Direct reports' is currently set as;
Rule for Root Object > Evaluation Path
US     A     208     Is identical to                          *     P
*     B     008     Holder                          *     S
Rule for Navigation object
NONE
Rule for Target Objects > Evaluation Path
S     B     002     Is line supervisor of     *     S
S     A     008     Holder                          *     P
S     A     008     Holder                          *     US

You need to use navigation objects
also you can experiment the results with the Report:RHSTRU00
many iViews which use the object and data provider tool (OADP) for data
retrieval have an iView property which can be used to define for which
organization views the data should be displayed as a list or as a tree.
This decision is made by setting a pure frontend parameter and you can
find it when you open the iView properties in the portal content
catalogue.
In the object selection configuration you can define how the objects
are retrieved. You can define 3 rules there. The first one is for
the root object determination. The (optional) second one is for the
so called navigation objects. It takes the result of rule 1 as input
to determine the objects for the navigation area (either displayed
in a tree or in a list). The third rule is the final rule to determine
the objects displayed in the OADP table. If rule 2 exist then it takes
the selected object(s) from the navigation area as input to determine
the final object set, If rule 2 is missing then it uses the result of
rule 1 as input.
Also you can restrict this via HRWPC_EVL_PATH

MSS- Reporting- Structured Reporting - Operational View

I navigate the following
MSS->Reporting->Structured Reporting
and select "Operational View" from the drop down menu. I have checked the functionality and it is SAP Standard. I want to know what is the Function Module that is called when I select this option from the dropdown.
We are on 2004s.

Hi,
You can use PPOSE and go to Print, in the Preview, Go to System, List, Save, Local File, Spreadsheet and you will be able to download the Org Struc.

Setting Graph View Usage dynamically

Hello all,
I have a Graph Table with 2 graphs (Pie and Bar) and I'm trying to set their View Usage dynamically with the code below but it's not working. There is no error message, it just simply doesn't return anything. We need to set it dynamically because we have different levels and VO's to the same graph page.
Is there anything else that should be done?

Problems during import BW structure - Don't view the queries

Hello!
I have a problem when import the structure of BW 7.0 with xmla file in OBIEE+. The version of OBIEE is 10.1.3.4.
When I do the importation, I don't see the queries created on BW, only the infocubes. But the queries is associate to infocube.
Can help me?

I solved this problem.
In the BEx Query Designer (BW 7), opened the query and click on "Query Properties" and then, "Extended" option. There is a checked box called “Allow External Access to this query” that must be checked. At the end, save the query in BEx and import the XMLA on OBIEE+. The queries is loaded.

Calculator ~ Graphing View. No Display Screen.

<FONT SIZE "+2" COLOR="maroon">The calculator works as normal in the standard and scientific modes. However, when changed to graphing mode the calculator application screen expands, but is filled with the brushed steel without any typeable (white) screen or 'LCD' display.
How can I rectify this?

* A new "plist" will be regenerated when you launch the Calculator again.

How to rearrange the structure of a table by using a view?

At wits end: I need to reorganize the structure of a table into a new structure - either as a view or actually moving the data from the old structure to the new structure (using a view).
The old structure is:

What this data shows are the percentiles for test scores for different tests for each school who took the tests.
It seems like creating a view to arrange the data through a bunch of selects and unions would work, but I can't figure out how.

Tricky.
When confronted with a problem like this I try to write out an algorthm in pseudocode to work out what I want to do. If you have more than 2 or 3 tables to merge I'd consider going with a new structure; otherwise the view approach might be a good idea. Remember that if you go with a new structure you can insert once and update the other values later, something like
foreach school insert row
update testname1
update testname2
